Hi guys! I’ve decided on a name for my Shadow and Maria fan game. It’s “When there’s Light, there’s Shadow.”

In this scene the Ark Siblings are having a conversation in the ARK’s artificial garden (it’s a headcanon that I had that I wanted to bring to life!) I worked very hard on it and I’ve been so excited to show everyone! (Well I don’t know, maybe the scene is stupid, but I really liked it at least! I hope others will too! 😅)

There’s still so much work to be done, I’m only one person and I don’t really know what I’m doing, but the support I’ve received so far has made me so happy. It means the world to me, and I just hope I won’t let you guys down! ❤️

If anyone would like to help out at all, please let me know! I’m still pretty new to making games with RPG Maker, and new to game-making in general! I’d love some advice if anyone has any!

Oh also I just found out that it’s possible to add voice acting to RPG Maker games! I’m not entirely sure how yet, and the game is still pretty early in development, but maybe that’s something I could try adding in the future if anyone was willing to lend their voice! 😄

(I’m actually really nervous about posting this video, I worked so hard on this scene, I hope people will like it 😅)

I do enjoy it when a game is clearly trying to use a wildly inappropriate pre-built game engine for what it wants to do, but I don't see why RPG Maker should have all the fun. Do grid-based tactical combat in Inform. Write a rhythm game in Twine. Implement that precision puzzle platformer in Ren'Py. You know you want to.

Hi guys! Here’s a silly interaction with an NPC in the main part of the ARK which I’ve decided to call the Hub! It’s the central part of the colony that leads to Gerald’s lab, the cafeteria, and the commercial area!

There’s even a mini library there, and a small playground! But the map is pretty big so it couldn’t fit on the screen. I can show it later though if anyone wants to see! There’s also a few other NPCs here but they don’t have much importance yet, though they do have dialogue! 😄

I also wanted to share some awesome artwork that @kaiaden made of the scene Shadow, Maria, and the security guard! Isn’t it that so cool? I couldn’t stop smiling when I saw the art! If you can, please check out their blog and give them a follow! Kaiaden deserves it! 😄😄
