Dodge Viper RT/10 "Meteorite", 2000, by Christian Riese Lassen. An art car by created by the Hawaii-based marine artist. He painted a raging inferno of flames that start white, like the burning rock of a meteorite, and become gradually more yellow, orange, and red towards the rear of the car. The car's bonnet is adorned with a signature Lassen marine scene of two dolphins

Honestly, I feel like "It's a web series, not some Disney spectacle" is the best mentality for RWBY Volume 1. It's rough, it's rugged, it goes it with a lot of heart.

A lot of the critical side of the FNDM seem to have some complaints be about RWBY's ambition in a, "if you can't do it or do it right right away, don't do it at all." It's such a non-risk taking, non-experimental mentality that clashes with how art often is.

Real art, be it one person or collaborative. It can be messy, mistakes are inevitable. But that's what attracts me to stuff like RWBY: the human element. The "low on budget, high on heart" vibe oozing from it.

So long as they're not being a jerk about it, artists should be allowed to get too big for their britches. We mock them but it takes a lot of nerve to essentially tear out a piece of your soul for all to see.

Staying Warm

The events of this day have been a shock for everyone but I urge everyone to not give up yet!

This art was commissioned for everyone who has worked to make RWBY an inclusive and supportive community (especially for @citadelofmythoughts), even when it has not been easy. The news from earlier this day has me shaken. I cannot even begin to imagine how everyone with CRWBY is feeling. And everyone else at RT who has poured their hearts into creating this community, even when the upper management has been so poor. RWBY has changed my life and I am so grateful for this show, for CRWBY, and for everyone in this community who have embraced what RWBY quintessentially represents. I hope that RWBY and its team find a new home soon! Regardless of what happens, in the end, I will be standing here. I have no plans on leaving this fandom now.

But I have rambled enough. Today has been a chilling day, but we have people to support us. I wanted this piece to be about support, and I am so happy with how it turned out! I thank @ahn1zos for their incredible work putting this together!
