this Sunday at 4pm EST, I will be part of a glorious panel on A Court of Fey and Flowers at Virtual JaneCon!
I'll be present on Rue as a figure of nonbinary fem(me)ininity in a Regency era adaptation and what Oscar Montoya's performance, as well as Aabria Iyengar's (as Wuvvy), Brennan Lee Mulligan's (as Hobb), and Surena Marie's (as Binx), means for how we view queer femmes in historical contexts.

This link will go live at 4pm EST, and we'll be in the chat during the video itself and then doing a live Q and A after.
I'm super excited for this, and if anyone ever wants to talk ACOFAF, here I am!
Annabeth: Clarisse, I need your help.
Clarisse: Great! Who are we killing? I won't do kids; that's a rule, but the rule is negotiable if that kid's a dick!
I thought I wouldn’t like a court of fey & flowers bc always find romance in d20 v uncomfortable (not ace, just deeply repressed I guess) but I loved it! Did not vibe at all with Rue & Hobb (too sincere) but everyone else more than made up for it.

All I can think about is the pack of pixies, before the Rue/Hob wedding, having a joint bachelor/ bachelorette (?) party in the mortal realm at the lords of the wings insistence.
Starting off with some art, inspired by @dimension20official’s A Court of Fey & Flowers.
This illustration is of one of my favorite characters, Delloso de la Rue, letting go of their glamour and revealing their true self. This moment was forever in my mind for the longest time, especially in my first viewing. And when something is in my mind I had to draw it.
Took me three to four days, but I'm happy how it turned out. I want to continue trying new things and stretching how far my art can go. Even using a watercolor like shading to give it that fancy quality to it. And I will say, these pieces have the most flowers I have ever drawn by hand before in my life. Each one unique and never the same twice with its petals.
The glamour effect took a bit of thinking, since in the episode, we never got to figure out what Rue's glamour spell would look like. So, I used inspiration between both looks to add a difference in the magic almost changing form as well.
I'm forever happy in having this campaign become one of my favorites in the Dimension 20's seasons. I hope we see these characters again in the future.
more dimension 20 fans should be watching voicesout on youtube. they’ve been creating a musical version of fantasy high freshman year for a while now and the acofaf song they just put out? fucking brilliant. it shocks me how little attention they seem to get.
