W województwie śląskim jest takie ciekawe miejsce jak przeprawa promowa Ciechowice - Grzegorzowice pomiędzy gminami Nędza i Rudnik na Drodze Wojewódzkiej 421, za której utrzymanie odpowiada Urząd Marszałkowski Województwa Śląskiego. Czynna jest, niestety, w mocno ograniczonych godzinach. Obok znajdują się ruiny mostu. Jakkolwiek jest to niezwykle urokliwe miejsce. Tutaj zdjęcie z kilkunastu minut po zamknięciu - liczę, że kiedyś uda mi się zdążyć przeprawę, a region przestanie być tak trudny komunikacyjnie. 🛥️🌉

Another day, another scandal! This time with a river. Let me explain.

Poland is a country that has a lot of rivers. I want to tell you about one river - Odra river. This is special river because we have it in common with Germany. Here you can see the Odra river on the map:

But why I am telling you about river. Don’t I have anything to talk about? Because river is in danger. Some time ago - in last month “my” government got an information that around the area of Wroclaw city fish were dying. It was in July. Now we have 22nd of August. Around 2-3 weeks ago fish were dying so fast that nearly all river was littered with it. This is an ecological disaster - catastrophe!

How about the government? Did the prime minister did something with it? Did the government itself decided to do something? Of course not! People themselves had to do something and the fisherman were putting out fish out of the river. In addition - from July we still don’t know which substance is so dangerous to fish and we still don’t know what made river die.

This is Odra river

+ Right now, our government decided to do something and they wanted to work. (Too late as we know). They made water samples. But to be sure what is going on they have to test thousands of water samples and government said that they want to make only couple of hundreds.

+ Ecosystem is dying near the Odra river. All the people that had businesses around the river lost their jobs. Government said that they want to gave this people some help but no one believes them anymore.

+ I said before, Odra is a common river with Germany. In addition, the German people said they analyzed the samples and they discovered copper in water. Poland do not confirms it.

The absurd is that the government does not do anything to stop fish from dying and they do not do anything to find out what substance is poisonous for the river. They are telling that they do something but nobody really know what they are doing apart from making citizens angry.

I will be updating if I will know something about river.
