Review of the SA 8000 - Social Responsibility
The SA 8000 will be the third edition of this auditable standard, establishing the requirements volunteers who want to ascribe an organization, including workers' rights, workplace conditions and management systems. This standard SA 8000 certification is based on national law, international human rights and the International Labor Organization.
Meeting the requirements of this standard, the organization ensures:
Develop, maintain and enforce policies and procedures to manage those aspects that can control or those who can influence.
Credibly demonstrate to stakeholders how the existence of policies, procedures and practices as set out in this standard.
The standard Social Accountability 8000 certification focuses on aspects that every organization should have controlled to be certified under the seal of "socially responsible company". Then I'll do some shades on these guidelines.
Child labor
IF the company hires young workers, they may only work outside school hours. Under no circumstances the whole amount of hours of work, school and transport may exceed 10 hours. Nor may work more than eight hours per day and work at night.

All staff should have the right to form, join and organize trade unions as their choice and to bargain collectively with the company or its representatives.
The company should ensure that representatives of workers and any personnel engaged in organizing workers are not subjected to discrimination, harassment, intimidation or reprisals and to ensure that such representatives have access to their members in the workplace.
Discrimination
The company should not practice or support discrimination in hiring, compensation, access to training, promotion, termination or retirement of staff.
The company must not allow any behavior that is threatening, abusive, exploitative or coercive sexual.
Disciplinary measures
The company must treat all employees with dignity and respect. All disciplinary measures taken should not go against the concept.
Remuneration
The company must respect the right of staff to a minimum wage.
The company must ensure, as a rule, deductions from wages are not made for disciplinary reasons.
The company must ensure that the composition of staff salaries and benefits to workers clearly written detail, on a regular basis in each pay period.
Finally, SA 8000 certification are specified all those requirements must be met for an organization to achieve certification through an independent third party audit.
