I just read a Sakuatsu/Atsukita/Osakita fic and since it doesn't allow comments and I need to decompress my chest, I'mma just vent here.
Spoilers ahead.
TW: cheating.
I'm a veeeeery resentful person. It's genuinely hard for me to forgive, I never forget nor I let go of the past, and I genuinely don't know how. I've always believed that cheating is the lowest and shitty thing you can do to someone you """"love"""", it's an unforgivable thing. I don't believe that things just "happen", or that it was a "mistake", or that they don't "mean to hurt", or that they're "sorry". That's all bullshit. If you love someone, you don't go around betraying them. People know what would happen after they cheat. Specially if they cheat with someone special to their partner: parent, sibling, friend, family, whatever bond.
That being said, I really really really can't understand how people forgive this, forgive them. People have told me that it's because I see everything black or white, or that my sense of justice is too strong, because for me, they're cheaters, they deserve to suffer, they don't deserve happiness, and they don't deserve forgiveness.
I honestly don't want anyone telling me that that's horrible and that I'm horrible, because I genuinely couldn't care less.
Now, about the fic.
Even though I'm happy that Atsumu made peace with himself and his past, and he's happy for his brother, I don't agree with Osamu and Kita getting their "happily ever after" with Atsumu and their parents' forgiveness and blessings. They don't deserve it. They say they're sorry and that they were mourning Atsumu "leaving then behind" after he accepted the MSBY invitation and that it just happened. Both Osamu and Kita (specially Osamu, being his brother and best friend) made the conscientious decision to sleep together both knowing how bad it would break Atsumu. And they didn't fucking care, and neither did their parents. And I'm just so mad I could fucking scream. They act all almighty and "it's been four years, work with us to fix this family, even though we haven't spoken in four fucking years, and we're here because your brother wants to marry your ex-boyfriend and we couldn't care less about how you feel about the situation because we need you to forgive them, c'mon".
Aaaaa I want to do punch something.
I'm not saying the fic wasn't good or anything, I actually loved seeing Atsumu getting to know his team and starting to get close to them, to form a new family. The side Sakuatsu was lovely (I actually read it just for them lmao), and the writing was pretty fucking amazing; it just rubbed me the wrong way and kinda triggered me lol
I'm not writer or anything, I just feel to much and need to express it before I explode. That's it, I just wanted to get this ugly feeling out of my chest and Tumblr has no character limit, so, yeah.

Sakuatsu drabble - New year's proposal
sfw, fluff 540w no warnings
The stroke of midnight is less than five minutes away when Kiyoomi drags Atsumu out into the backyard of the MSBY sharehouse. The rest of the party guests are out front watching the fireworks, and Atsumu makes a soft sound of surprise when Kiyoomi drags him away from the crowd.
"Are ya okay, Omi?" he asks when the door swings shut behind them and Kiyoomi turns to face Atsumu. "D'ya not wanna be with the others?"
Kiyoomi takes a deep breath and grabs both of Atsumu's hands with his own. "Exactly two years ago today, you asked me to be your boyfriend right on this spot."
Atsumu blushes and a grin spreads across his face. "Ya must be tipsy if yer getting sentimental on me, Omi."
Kiyoomi feels a small smile tug at his lips, and he reaches up to stroke Atsumu’s cheek. "A little bit, but I don't need to be tipsy to tell you how much you mean to me."
Atsumu’s grin widens and he nuzzles into Kiyoomi’s hand, cheeks red and eyes glittering. "Yeah?"
"Atsumu," Kiyoomi says, feeling the beginnings of tears form in his own eyes. "You're everything to me. You've completely changed my life, and I don't think I tell you that enough. I cannot even begin to describe how happy you make me, every single day. I'm a better person because of you, and you didn't even have to try. Your joy and warmth, these things that come so naturally to you, have made me so much happier and I can't thank you enough for that. I love you so much, and I will until the day I die."
Atsumu is actually crying now, tears running down his cheeks and his grin trembling. "Omi..."
Kiyoomi takes another deep breath. This is it. He sinks down onto one knee, maintaining eye contact. Atsumu’s breath hitches and his grin fades into surprise as his eyes widen.
"Miya Atsumu," Kiyoomi says slowly, reaching into his coat pocket and pulling out the maroon velvet box he's been holding onto for three months already. He flips it open to reveal the simple gold band inside, looking up at Atsumu and feeling his chest ache with love and devotion. "Will you marry me?"
Atsumu seems to have stopped breathing and he's just staring at the ring, his lower lip trembling. Kiyoomi watches him, trying his best to be patient despite the frantic beat of his heart.
After what feels like an eternity, Atsumu finally takes a shaky breath. "Omi, I-"
"I know we're young," Kiyoomi blurts out, his mouth uncharacteristically running away with him. "But I can't imagine ever being with anyone else. You're so important to me, Atsumu. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, and I'm sorry if this is too much but-"
"Omi, stop," Atsumu laughs, his eyes soft and full of emotion as he pulls Kiyoomi to his feet. "Sakusa Kiyoomi, the answer is yes. Of course I'll marry ya."
Kiyoomi feels his shoulders relax and a few tears spill from his eyes as he slides the gold band over Atsumu’s ring finger. As the sky lights up with colourful explosions to welcome the new year, they fall into each other's arms and kiss until their teammates find them.

sakuatsu | having kids
part 1
Sakusa Kiyoomi met the love of his life at the age of 16. Though, he didn't know it yet at the time.
He started dating Atsumu at the age of 23, a year after their reunion at MSBY.
At 27, he proposed. Atsumu said yes, and they got married.
Kiyoomi was the happiest he's ever been. He was thoroughly spoiled by Atsumu. Never had he thought a man could be so all-encompassing in his love. Some nights, he still didn't believe that such a man accepted someone like Kiyoomi. It all felt like a dream.
When he turned 30, Atsumu brought up the conversation about having kids.  His husband grew up in a small but loving family and he wanted one of his own.
Kiyoomi wasn't so sure.
Since he was young, Kiyoomi had always thought he wasn't fit to be a father, to raise small living beings, to nurture young minds.
Kiyoomi was selfish. He was high maintenance. He can't even handle himself properly, how would he a small child?
So he told Atsumu no, though it pained his heart the crestfallen expression in his husband's face.
"Maybe in the near future then?" Atsumu asks, hopeful.
"Maybe," Kiyoomi answers, though he doubts it.
They never speak of it again but Kiyoomi notices Atsumu's longing glances when he sees kids in the playground, families walking around malls or lazing around beaches.
Kiyoomi always knew Atsumu had a big heart. He was the caring type. He cared about his brother. He cared about his teammates and his friends. He cared about Kiyoomi. But that wasn't enough. His heart had so much more to give.
On Atsumu's 31st birthday, Kiyoomi gifts him a puppy. Something for Atsumu to care for. Kiyoomi has heard how a lot of people prefer pets to kids, and he definitely sees the logic.
Dogs are cuter and cleaner anyway. And you don't have to send them to college.
Dogs don't go through rebellious phases. So dogs are definitely better than having kids.
Atsumu was appeased for some time. He treated the pup like his baby, carrying it around, nursing it with a bottle. ("Atsumu, he can eat in the bowl now.") Dogs grow up so fast.
Next thing he knows, the pup is now big enough to push the both of them to the floor just by jumping on them. They take turns taking him out on walks. And Kiyoomi thought they were fine. A family can be two gay dads and a dog.
Until there was that one random Saturday where both of them had the day off. They decided to take their dog on a walk in the park. Together.
It's the first time in a long while since they went out together like this. The dog was a new but welcome addition.
Saturdays at the park were crowded, to say the least. They sit on a bench near a grassy field to rest. Kids and their family are running about, couples have blankets laid down for a romantic picnic. It was a picturesque scene.
They let their dog run about, playing with strangers as the two of them watch.
Beside him, Atsumu lets out a forlorn sigh.
"What's wrong?" Kiyoomi asks.
Atsumu looks at him with a smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes. "Nothing, Omi-kun."
Before Kiyoomi can push even further, Atsumu stands up. "I'm gonna get us some snacks and drinks. Be right back." And he goes without another word.
Kiyoomi is worried. He knows something is bothering Atsumu. Maybe he's feeling sick. They should probably head home now.
He looks out at the park to see where his dog went but sees her nowhere in sight. He panics. Losing their dog wouldn't help Atsumu's mood. He takes off the bench to search.
He calls out their dog's name and asks strangers but no one seems to have seen her anywhere. Now Kiyoomi is really worried.
How the hell could he lose a very large yellow dog?
He walks aimlessly around the park for a few more minutes. Atsumu is probably worried that he's left the bench and is also looking for him.
Fuck, how could Kiyoomi fuck up owning a pet?
He hears a sniffle and thinks how ridiculous it is for a grown man like him to be crying in the middle of a park.
But then he realizes, that's too high pitched a voice for it to be coming from him.
He listens more carefully and traces the noise to a bush. He comes closer to see their dog, Kiyoomi sighs in relief, quietly comforting a little girl maybe around 4.
"Hey," Kiyoomi calls out. "Are you okay?"
The little girl sniffs. "I'm lost. I don't know where Papa is."
Kiyoomi didn't know what to do. He didn't know how to deal with kids. He looks at his dog who's staring back at him expectantly. Kiyoomi should probably call Atsumu. He'd know what to do.
Their dog barks at him as if to say, "Focus! We have a child in crisis here."
Kiyoomi remembers getting lost as a kid. They were at a mall and his mother had stopped to chat with a close acquaintance she happened to meet. There were a lot of people that day and Kiyoomi was uncomfortable. So he tried to tell his mom by pulling at the hems of her dress.
Her mother had scolded him to stop it. Kiyoomi was maybe 6.
He wandered to a corner to find some reprieve from the constant wave of people.
And by the time his stomach was rumbling, he realized he had lost his mother.
Kiyoomi did not cry. He was more worried about the scolding he was about to get than actually getting lost.
That was most of his childhood. Being scared. Of his parents. Of doing the wrong thing. Of disappointing them.
His siblings had high-tailed out of the house before Kiyoomi was even born. Perhaps to get out of that toxic environment. Kiyoomi didn't blame them. He did the same thing as soon as he turned 21.
Kiyoomi looks at the girl in front of him now, crying and scared. But she wanted her Papa. She was crying for her Papa.
"Do you remember where you last saw your Papa?" Kiyoomi asks the little girl.
The girl sniffs but she answers, "Mama and Papa were sitting on a blanket."
"I was playing with the dog." She gestures to their dog beside her. "And then I couldn't see them anymore. Did they leave me, Mister? Does Papa and Mama not want me anymore?"
Fresh tears appear on the girl's eyes and Kiyoomi can't help but wipe them as they fall from her cheeks. "What's your name?" He asks.
"Mina," she mumbles.
"I'm sure your parents love you very much, Mina-chan," he says and even though he doesn't know her parents at all, he finds himself believing it. "Come out there and we'll help you find them."
The little crawls out of the bush, followed by their dog.
Just then, a familiar voice calls out to them. "Omi-kun! Chichi!"
Their dog barks upon hearing her name and immediately bounds towards Atsumu.
He's carrying two drinks and two takoyaki sticks that he almost lets go as Chichi circles him.
When Atsumu sees Kiyoomi, his eyes widen at the sight of the little girl behind him hiding behind his knees. "Omi-kun, who—"
"This is Mina-chan," Kiyoomi introduces. "We're helping her find her parents."
Atsumu's expression softens as he kneels down to meet Mina-chan face to face. She's a shy kid but no one can resist Miya Atsumu's charms.
After offering her one of their takoyaki sticks and drinks, they're practically best friends.
Kiyoomi knew Atsumu had always been good with kids but seeing again makes his heart warm and breaks at the same time. He realized then, that the four of them looked like a family.
This was what Atsumu had always wanted. And Kiyoomi finds it's not as bad as he had thought.
They walk together looking for Mina-chan's parents. Mina-chan is seated atop Kiyoomi's shoulders at Atsumu's insistence. "For better vantage point, Omi," his husband reasons.
Kiyoomi doesn't mind. Mina-chan is light and the smile on Atsumu's face as he took a dozen pictures on his phone was worth it.
Atsumu is worth it. Always.
Kiyoomi had known this before but years of being together seemed to make him forget.
He'd do anything for Atsumu. Even if it's getting his curls pulled on by a 4-year-old or not having any of the snacks Atsumu bought him to feed the little girl.
Soon enough, they find Mina-chan's parents. They thanked Kiyoomi and Atsumu profusely before they parted ways.
Miya Kiyoomi loves his husband. He loves their dog. And Kiyoomi finds himself so full of love that it overflows.
"Atsumu," he says as the three of them walk home.
"Hm?"
"I love you."
Atsumu startles at the sudden declaration out of the blue.
He chuckles. "I love ya too, Omi-kun."
"Mina-chan was cute, wasn't she?"
Atsumu stops. "What's this about, Omi-kun?"
Kiyoomi turns to look at Atsumu, the love of his life. "I think," Kiyoomi starts. "My heart is full of love but at the same time it has room for one more."
"What are ya saying?" Atsumu's expression is a mix of hopeful and hesitant.
"I'm saying," Kiyoomi rolls his eyes fondly. "Let's do it. Let's have kids."
"Really?"
Kiyoomi nods.
Atsumu throws his arms around him and Kiyoomi can feel happy tears wet his shoulders.
They stay like that for a while. Atsumu crying and Kiyoomi rubbing comforting circles on his back.
Kiyoomi realizes he shouldn't have been scared about having kids. Right there in his arms was the biggest baby he's ever met and he's been doing fine taking care of him.
He chuckles to himself and places a kiss on the top of Atsumu's head.
part 2
"I want a boy."
"Girls are cuter."
This was the current dilemma the Miya household had. Atsumu wanted a boy. Kiyoomi, to his husband's absolute shock, wanted a girl.
They had just recently decided that they were going to have kids, after years of hesitation from Kiyoomi's part.
Atsumu wasn't stupid. He knew his husband didn't have the best childhood which manifested to his fear about not being a good parent.
That's why the first time Kiyoomi rejected the idea of having kids, Atsumu was disappointed but not at all surprised.
Kiyoomi had gotten them a dog as some sort of compromise. And though it's not the same as what Atsumu really wanted, he appreciated the gesture.
Now Kiyoomi was finally onboard and Atsumu's dream about having a family is so close to coming true.
"Don't ya get it, Omi-kun? Girls are a lot of work! None of us would know how to handle a period," Atsumu reasons. "And besides, don't ya want a mini-us?"
"Boys are disgusting," Kiyoomi counters. "They'll be absolute hell to raise. Plus, they say girls mature faster than boys."
"You're a boy!"
"I know." Kiyoomi grumbles. "And besides, we can learn all about the girl stuff in the future. It won't be that bad."
They have this conversation for weeks. They've already settled on adopting but they haven't really started looking. Not until their fiasco is settled.
So they decide to settle this the way they do a majority of their disagreements.
Through a bet.
Ever since their dog, Chichi, had joined the fray, she had been the third party vote that tips the tie. She'd weigh in on a lot of their decision-making and they figured this shouldn't be different. Chichi was part of the family after all. She should get a say who joins them.
They decide to return to the park that started it all. It's still crawling with kids and families running around. The perfect setting for their bet.
The game was whatever kid Chichi plays with the most wins.
"Mina-chan doesn't count," Atsumu adds.
"Of course."
Ever since that fateful day, Kiyoomi and Atsumu had befriended Mina-chan. They often see each other when they come to the park and she greets them before taking Chichi away to play.
This time as they settle into their own blanket, they see Mina-chan running towards them.
"Omi-san! Chichi! Tsumu-san!" She calls.
If it wasn't obvious, the nickname was Atsumu's doing.
"Mina-chan! Good to see ya," Atsumu greets. "How are ya doing?"
"Mama bought me a new dress!" She twirls to showcase the pretty pink dress she's wearing.
"You look so pretty," Atsumu compliments.
"Like a princess!" She adds.
Atsumu chuckles as he agrees. "Exactly."
Mina-chan turns to Kiyoomi. "Do you like my dress, Omi-san?"
Kiyoomi removes his mask, showing a soft fond smile. "I do. It's very cute."
The little girl beams at that. Despite being a man of few words, Mina-chan took a liking to Kiyoomi.
Atsumu doesn't blame her. He gets the appeal.
After asking about her parents, where they sat and how they're doing, Mina-chan says goodbye as she runs alongside Chichi.
Atsumu settles on the blanket, munching on a packed sandwich. (They always bring snacks now.)
"So is Mina-chan why ya want a girl?" Asks Atsumu.
Kiyoomi regards him with a look and sighs. "A little," he admits.
Atsumu chuckles at that. "She really caught yer heart, huh? I'm a little jealous."
Kiyoomi rolls his eyes. "Don't be ridiculous."
They sit in silence for a few minutes, watching Chichi and Mina-chan run up to strangers and play with them.
Atsumu's been counting. They've played with 2 boys and 1 other girl. He smiles to himself.
"It's more than just meeting Mina-chan," Kiyoomi suddenly says, startling Atsumu.
He turns to look at his husband. A lot of people wonder how Atsumu can know what Kiyoomi is thinking. His expressions have always been subtle that one can mistake as unchanging.
Atsumu prides himself as one of the only few who can gauge what's going on in his head.
But at that moment, Atsumu was clueless.
"I'm scared," Kiyoomi starts. He swallows.
"About?" Atsumu prompts. He had suspected Kiyoomi still had reservations about getting a kid. His whole life he'd never thought this was what he wanted. It's only natural he wasn't in 100%.
"About — as you worded it, /having a mini-me/," Kiyoomi says, producing air quotes.
"What? Why?" Out of the million of things his husband could be scared about, Atsumu couldn't have guessed it was this. He has never been the insecure one between the two.
"Yet an awesome person, Omi-kun," Atsumu reassures. "The world would do good if more people were like ya."
Kiyoomi laughs at that. "I'm sure a lot of people with disagree."
"Well, that's just because they don't know ya like I do." Atsumu gives him a smug wink.
Kiyoomi reaches out to hold his hand across the blanket. "Thanks, Atsumu. But I wasn't talking about my prickly personality."
"Then, what?"
His husband sighs. "I'm scared," he begins. "That our son would be like me. That our son would hate his parents."
Ah. That's right. How could Atsumu forget? Kiyoomi was estranged from his parents.
"Hey." Atsumu scoots to sit beside Kiyoomi, cupping his head so it lays on the crook of his shoulder. "Whoever our kid is gonna be, whatever our kid is gonna be, I'm sure they won't hate you."
"How are you so sure?" Kiyoomi's voice is small and it breaks Atsumu's heart just hearing it.
"They won't because yer gonna be an amazing dad. I see how ya treat Mina-chan, and how you take care of Chichi. And I know our kid will be loved because I know how ya love me.
We'll be fine, yeah? As long as we have each other."
Kiyoomi clutches Atsumu's hand and nods.
"Omi-san! Tsumu-san!" They hear Mina-chan's voice call them from across the field. She's running towards them again with Chichi in tow.
The only difference is her hair, that was once tied in a bun, had fallen down to her shoulders.
By the time she reached their blanket, Mina-chan was panting. Atsumu hands her a pack of orange juice to rehydrate which she accepts gratefully.
"Someone pulled on my hair just now," Mina-chan says with a pout. "Now my bun is ruined."
Kiyoomi perks up at that. "Come here."
Atsumu raises an eyebrow at him but lets his husband sit up as Mina-chan crawls to his lap. It was such a cute sight — Kiyoomi with kids. It never fails to make Atsumu's heart melt. He takes out his phone to snap a few photos.
Kiyoomi starts working on Mina-chan's hair as the girl sits contentedly on his lap as she sips her juice. Chichi lounges beside Atsumu.
Atsumu gapes at his husband. "Since when did ya know how to braid hair?"
Kiyoomi smirks as he continues delicately braiding Mina-chan's hair. "I've been preparing."
By this time, Atsumu has lost count of the kids Chichi has played with. And at that moment, he thinks it doesn't matter. Atsumu wouldn't mind having a daughter.
Once home, they both agree that it shouldn't matter what gender their child would be. They'd love them all the same.
So with that in mind, they finally set up a meeting for the orphanage they've been eyeing. And in a few day's time, they'd be meeting their future kid.
On the day of the visit to the orphanage, none of the kids were clicking with Kiyoomi. They were either too dirty, too quiet, or too loud.
"That last one cried a lot," Kiyoomi says.
"He's a toddler!" Atsumu defends.
But Atsumu can't help but agree that they still haven't found The One. He'd never expect picking a kid would be this hard. He'd always thought they'd walk into the orphanage and fall in love at first sight at the first kid that would greet them. But alas, they did not.
They were just about to give up when a young boy burst into the room pulling a girl by the hand behind him.
He sits the little girl on the couch in front of them and presents her as if he's a salesman showing the latest product. "Take her," he says.
Atsumu and Kiyoomi look at each other, then back at the kids that barged in.
"Akiko-chan is really cute, you see!" The boy is nearly shouting, as if he's not letting anyone say otherwise.
It's true, though. The girl sitting on the couch, Akiko-chan, is cute.
She has dark brown curly hair cascading down her back. She's wearing a denim overalls over a yellow shirt. But her expression shows she's not amused. She's glaring at them but it was still the cutest thing ever.
And Atsumu realizes she reminds him a lot of Kiyoomi.
Atsumu is convinced she is The One they're meant to take home.
But the little boy is not done. "Akiko-chan deserves a good family. You promise me you'll take care of her or else I'll find the two of you and beat you to a pulp."
"We promise," Atsumu says.
"No," Akiko-chan suddenly shouts. "I'm not going with you!" She hops of the couch and runs to the boy into a hug. "I'm not leaving you, Nii-chan."
Atsumu's eyes widen. He looks at Kiyoomi who's strangely silent as he watches the scene unfold in front of them.
"They're only taking one," the boy whispers to his sister, stroking her hair. "You have to go. I'll be alright. I'm tough, right?"
The girl shakes his head, burrowing her head into the crook of his shoulder.
It's a heartbreaking scene. Atsumu almost wants to say that they'll take them both but Kiyoomi might not approve. They only agreed on one.
Before Atsumu can say anything, Kiyoomi speaks up. "What's your name?" He's looking at the boy.
"Akira," the boy answers.
"And Akiko-chan is your little sister?" He asks.
"Yes."
"Liar," Akiko-chan says. He turns to look at Kiyoomi. "We're twins, mister. He's only a few seconds older than me."
Atsumu's eyes widen at that. That was worse. He thinks of Osamu. If by some circumstance, they were the one who ended up in an orphanage he also wouldn't allow being separated from his brother.
He looks at Kiyoomi to say something but his husband doesn't look back.
He wonders what Kiyoomi is thinking. Will he say that they just find another orphanage and look there? What's worse? Leave one of them behind or leave them both?
Kiyoomi sighs, shaking Atsumu out of his thoughts. Then he asks, "Do you two like dogs?"
They end up adopting them both. After fixing up a few papers, the twins were officially Miya Akira and Miya Akiko.
On the way to pick the kids up, Atsumu brings up a conversation long overdue. "Why'd you take them both?"
Kiyoomi regards him as if he's not sure if that was a serious question. "They're twins. We couldn't separate them."
"Yeah, but—" Atsumu stutters. That wasn't the plan, he wanted to say.
"I'm sorry I decided for us both," Kiyoomi says. "But you didn't seem to be against it."
"I'm not," Atsumu says. "I'm happy we took them both. But I thought you—" /I thought ya didn't want kids./
"I know," Kiyoomi smiles at him. "But Akira-kun really reminded me of you, you know. And Akiko-chan seemed like a really good girl. Even I couldn't pick between them."
Atsumu almost cries. "I thought Akiko-chan was like ya too."
Kiyoomi huffs in mock indignation but he's smiling brightly.
"We're gonna be a family, Omi-kun."
"We were always a family, Atsumu. We're merely letting our love grow."
If only Kiyoomi wasn't driving, Atsumu would have kissed him right there.

jules!! i am here building a blanket fort in your asks ⋆。゚☁︎。⋆。 ゚☾ ゚。⋆ and i’m ready to talk about ooey gooey otp asks things
if you’re comfy, i would love to hear what you have to say for 3, 4, and 25 bokuaka!! and if it’s not too much (answer only those you want to) 7, 9, and 17 for sakuatsu
anywho much love and snuggles to you ✨💛
Omg evie!! Yes ask me about my otps all you want, I love rambling about them <3 also this took me a long time to answer because I thought about it for so long lmao
Bokuaka:
3. Most common argument?
I think they don’t argue about a lot of serious things, and their arguments aren’t the worst thing in the world — most are about Bokuto leaving the toilet seat up, which Akaashi grumbles about (though this is just me projecting my relationship with my roommate and his toilet habits LOL) and Bokuto grumbling about Akaashi critising his sometimes chaotic habits. But those are small arguments that they resolve almost immediately because it’s nothing profound. Something more serious that they argue about is Akaashi’s blatant lack of selfcare by overworking himself almost constantly, and he denies it when Bokuto accuses him of it — that sometimes results in a fight until Akaashi gives in because he knows Bokuto is right. It still keeps happening though, even when Akaashi swears he’ll be better. But Bokuto knows that some (bad) habits are hard to break, and he’s more than happy to help Akaashi.
4. Favourite non-sexual activity?
Bokuto likes it when Akaashi reads to him, so when they can’t agree on what movie/show to watch, they settle on a book. They both love stories, but Bokuto isn’t the type to sit still for hours with his eyes locked on a page. But he could listen to Akaashi’s voice for hours on end, so they just sit there leaning against each other, the domestic vibes are immaculate, as Akaashi reads to him. They also like to do random dates throughout the week with no specific context attached, but just because they want to have a good time with each other. So they prepare a jar with pieces of paper with date ideas written on it, and when they have time, they pick an activity to do. It’s their favourite thing in the world. And it’s mundane things like baking something or trying out a new hobby together, it’s nothing special, but it’s special to them.
25. Who needs more assurance?
I think they can both be fairly insecure, but I think it’d be Akaashi, especially post-time skip. rose Sakura wrote a great one-shot about this that might cause some bias for me, but I think from time to time, Akaashi might realise that he’s dating/married to a very popular volleyball star, whereas he is ‘only’ an editor at a job that wasn’t even his dream to begin with. Bokuto fundamentally disagrees with Akaashi’s insecurities and always manages to make him feel better about himself, and when they’re married, it gets much better, but it still sometimes comes up a little bit from time to time, but they learn how to deal with it effectively and in the healthiest way possible because it’s Bokuaka and I cannot allow them to be unhappy in my brain
Sakuatsu
7. What's the first thing that changes when they realize they have feelings for the other?
When they wouldn’t have been honest before, they are now. Something they agree on is to always communicate and always be honest, so when, before getting together, they would have been closed off and kept their true emotions to themselves, they open up. At first, they do because the other asks. Eventually, they open up without being prompted to do so, and their trust in each other only grows with it.
9. Who worries the most?
I want to say both, especially at the start of their relationship. I hc Atsumu to have a bunch of abandonment issues that got much worse when Osamu quit, giving him the feeling that everyone will leave him eventually, even the people closest to him. So I think he’d be worried that Kiyoomi would, too, eventually, and Atsumu isn’t sure he’d ever be able to properly recover from yet another person leaving him. I also think that Kiyoomi is fully aware of how awful his personality is and that he is a difficult person, which leads him to believe that he is hard to love, so he shuts off before anyone can get close enough to hurt him. But he lets Atsumu in, and he’s not scared of getting hurt, he’s just worried that Atsumu might realise that he is not the best person — obviously that doesn’t happen because Atsumu is an asshole™️ . But maybe that is just me projecting here because that’s what I would want to write for them in my fic (not sure if it’ll happen like this, but I want it to).
17. Who says ‘I love you’ first?
Atsumu. But I don’t think he says it in a romantic context, but he’s just a person who says it a lot and expresses his love overtly (whether it is platonic or romantic). So he tells Kiyoomi he loves but without romantic undertones (at least not explicit romantic subtext attached to the context), but then eventually Kiyoomi would say it first in a romantic context. I think it would more or less slip out in a moment where he lets his guard down and just says it to the surprise of both of them, and then Atsumu would say it right back after blinking at him in surprise at first, trying to process what he’d heard.
Thank you for making me talk about them, I love you so much!!

when the twins were growing up and would get into fights with each other, atsumus fighting style was biting, hair pulling, and hitting/scratching. osamus was punching, kicking, and throttling/shaking.
when kiyoomi and komori were growing up, komori would verbally annoy kiyoomi and kiyoomi would usually try to slap komori in retaliation.

MHA one is up!!
ill keep updating this as i read more, feel free to send me suggestions!
KageHina
plain as day - emleewrites
In which Hinata has spent the better part of the last twenty years putting his heart and soul into volleyball, hoping to be recognised, to be noticed. And yet he spends all these years also thinking of himself as rather plain, beyond his lack of height and bright hair, and not really noticeable at all.
In Transit - Mysecretfanmoments
Hinata finds that he likes standing close to Kageyama on buses and trains. It doesn't mean anything--probably. Maybe.
I like the way your clothes smell - Mysecretfanmoments
Power outages, ghost stories, and the presence of a certain orange-haired boy lead to bad decision-making on Tobio's part. He'd planned to keep his crush a secret; the universe has other plans.
Chaotic Neutral - akaraka
Who's this Kageyama person on twitter and is he gay?
1: Anonymous: see title
2: Anonymous: curry king
3: Anonymous >> 1: It's the curry king, obviously. Have you been using his memes this whole time without knowing who he was?
4: Anonymous: 1) Hinata Shouyou's boyfriend 2) See above
jellyfish - mysterytwin
At the beginning of his last year at Karasuno High School, Hinata Shouyou starts a list and calls it THINGS TO DO BEFORE GRADUATION, all with high hopes that he’ll be able to complete it before his time runs out.
TsukkiYama
Try This On For Size - CloudMonsta
A lot changed for Yamaguchi Tadashi over the course of high school. He started trying on dresses, for one.
The Great Yamaguchi-Tsukishima Split (Capitalization Necessary) - WyYeuw
"But no, the current situation isn’t normal. This situation requires the full attention of the team.
No, what’s really concerning this time around, is that Yamaguchi is the one ignoring Tsukishima.”
Yamaguchi confesses. Tsukishima fucks up—like, really fucks up. The volleyball club notices and loses a week’s worth of practice.
IwaOi
Terrarium - sausaged
He's practically a professional at being proactive (lies, lies, and lies when it comes to Iwaizumi).
At this point, is he really happy with just staying best friends forever? Will he be writing journals and collecting rocks forever (he will, he knows, but that is aside from the point)?
Can he really tag his Instagram photos with #YOLO if he doesn't actually put that phrase into practice?
A story about Oikawa Tooru, Iwaizumi Hajime, plants, and rocks.
They Say it Rain Diamonds on Jupiter - exsao
"You're in love with him."
Hajime considers denying it. He considers deliberately choking on his drink to express surprise, to create a distraction by spitting onto the man in front of him's pristine white shirt and causing a commotion. Instead, he swallows his mouthful of soda and heaves a small sigh once his mouth is free.
"Yeah," he says instead.
He's never been good at lying, anyway.
bait and switch - Stylographic_Blue_Rhapsody
Oikawa's university volleyball team knows he's in a long-distance relationship with someone from high school. They imagine a sweet-faced girl that matches his sarcasm with patience. They are so incredibly wrong.
my heart is where it’s always been - foreverautumn
Iwaizumi places his phone down carefully.
Oikawa. Pining after someone. There’s no way.
(Iwaizumi knows he shouldn’t care who Oikawa might have feelings for, but within the span of three days, it’s somehow the only thing he can think about.)
KuroKen
Beautiful People Will Ruin Your Life - todxrxki
Kuroo Tetsurou runs a private Twitter account where he's constantly tweeting about how desperately in love he is with Kozume Kenma. Little does he know that Kenma sees all the tweets and keeps referencing the account in an attempt to get Kuroo to confess to him. / Or, five times Kuroo didn't notice Kenma hinting about his private Twitter account, and one time he finally did.
the things that get caught in the valves of his heart - ghostpot
Emotional competency is not exactly Kuroo's strong suit. Kenma finds it quite amusing.
Accidentally In Love - todxrxki
Kuroo frowns, but then slowly, the corners of his mouth lift up into a smirk. "Well, if it's so unbelievable, why don't we give it a try?"
Kenma glances up at him curiously. "What do you mean?"
"Let's do the 36 questions to fall in love," Kuroo says, still smirking stupidly. "If we don't fall in love, then you're right, it's bullshit. But if we do somehow..." Kuroo waggles his eyebrows. "Then I win." / Kuroo decides he and Kenma should do the 36 questions to fall in love as a joke, but they both start to realize they might actually be in love already.
the galaxy is endless (i thought we were, too) - cosmogony
TW: major character death
Kuroken AU where the last words your soulmate will say to you appear on your skin when you turn 16, and how Kenma and Kuroo learn what this means over the course of their lives
even if you’re ahead for a bit, i will catch up - ghostpot
Kuroo first confesses when they're sticky-fingered, wide-eyed kids, and subsequently every day after that. Kenma takes a while to come around.
you’re the brake lines failing (as my car swerves off the freeway) - ghostpot
Kenma thinks that Kuroo looks ugly with his head bent against the arm of the couch like that. Then Kenma thinks that he wants to marry him, and is promptly thrown into the 5 stages of grief.
teach me the way home - icespyders
“Don’t go far off, not even for a day, because —
because — I don’t know how to say it: a day is long
and I will be waiting for you, as in an empty station
when the trains are parked off somewhere else, asleep.”
Kuroo and Kenma grow up in transit.
in this universe - crossbelladonna
Living with Kuroo is sometimes, just like this. It always feels surreal like he's living half a world and a lot of things rush by too quickly. Kenma feels like he'd watched him come and go in a blink, eyes wide and wordless as the shared space went snug in an instant and far larger in the next.
All this, and a glass of water.
Beginning’s End - todxrxki
Somehow over the course of Kenma's lifetime, he’s never really had an opportunity to miss Kuroo. He’s always been there. Even when they went to different schools, Kuroo would meet him afterwards so they could walk home together, shoulders brushing, Kuroo occasionally taking the opportunity to guide him when his nose was buried in the newest video game. The thought of Kuroo not being there anymore is uncomfortable, to say the least. / Kozume Kenma's third year and the changes the year brings in himself and his relationship with Kuroo Tetsurou.
All I Want for Christmas is You - todxrxki
“Kuro,” he says. “You’re a single guy.”
“Yeah, great, thanks for pointing that out.”
“And my parents already know you, plus they already know you like guys or whatever so… what if you pretended to be my date for Christmas dinner?” / In which Kenma recruits his housemate and best friend Kuroo to be his fake date for Christmas.
BokuAka
just to miss the sun - rosevtea
Everything begins to implode when MSBY Jackals outside hitter Bokuto Koutarou crashes Akaashi's livestream.
Operation BokuAka - kazzydolyn
After spending two whole years watching Bokuto and Akaashi pine for one another, the rest of the Fukuroudani Volleyball Club has had enough. When everyone meets up for a reunion dinner, the team decides to play matchmaker and finally get the two of them together. Unfortunately, their plan starts to fall apart when they discover that Akaashi is already dating someone. And apparently so is Bokuto. What a strange coincidence.
bitter - silvercistern
He accepted his classmate's chocolates gracefully, then declared his lack of interest with as much dignity as he could muster. She deserved the courtesy. At least she'd acknowledged that Valentine's Day was all about her, and not about him in the slightest.
Because if any of these girls had taken the time to actually get to know him, they’d quickly realize something even more important than his lack of interest in girls.
And that was that Akaashi hated sweets.
In Another Life - LittleLuxray
TW: major character death
Sleeping didn't come as easy as it used to. Bokuto knew this, and now Akaashi did, too.
The hospital AU that no body asked for, but that I took upon myself to write.
120% yes - pissedofsandwich
TOKYO FRANCHISE COMING SOON @OnigiriMiya

Kissing Ace - karasunovolleygays
It happens right after training camp.
Akaashi Keiji has a secret he has guarded since he was a child. He won’t go so far as to call it a fear, but more of an aspect of himself of which he is horribly mortified. No one on the team knows about it, and Akaashi does his best to keep it that way.
But years of dodging hugs and casual contact come to naught in the blink of an eye and the swipe of a hand.
daisy rings and frivolous things (i am deliriously in love with you) - gabstar
Akaashi Keiji is in love. Bokuto Koutarou is a star. Everyone on Fukurodani has a gambling problem.
SakuAtsu
The MSBY Black Jackals Read Thirst Tweets - isaksara (syailendra)
Sakusa’s eyes are very dark naturally, sucking in all surrounding rays of light and crushing them in his pupils. For an athlete, he is rather pale. His lips look very pink in comparison. Atsumu is suddenly catastrophically aware that in this instance, ‘accent’ is a euphemism. “Good enough for your Olympic-size ego, Miya?”
(In which Atsumu realizes that he is attracted to Sakusa Kiyoomi in the most inconvenient way possible.)
A Liar’s Truth - internetpistol
In which Sakusa Kiyoomi is raised to believe that gay people go to hell but then takes one look at Miya Atsumu and thinks, then why the hell did God make them so fucking hot?

being iwaoi’s surrogate
BEING SAKUATSU’S SURROGATE
Tumblr media
↬ it took forever to even get them together, so with a duo as indecisive as them, it’s imaginable how long the decision to raise a child together took. it took a long, long while for that transition from enemies to lovers to be final, and even then, they hadn’t realized how serious their relationship was until they were off getting married and then suddenly wanting a child?
↬ it was something atsumu brought up out of the blue, just casually as they sat side by side on the couch. “wouldn’t it be nice if we raised a child together?” and it stuck with sakusa ever since. he didn’t know why he was obsessively thinking about it as much, but it’s all he could think about. literally. anytime he so much as thought about atsumu with a child, and a child of their own too, his stomach did a thousand and one flips. sakusa was never the biggest fan of children, and he knew that neither was atsumu. but, this would be different, wouldn’t it? Still, he tried to remind himself of the cons; they were pro-athletes, they didn’t have time, they didn’t understand the weight of the responsibility, were they even ready for something like that? somedays it was too tiring to take care of themselves, of each other. were they ready to be responsible for a whole life, someone dependent entirely on them? it seemed too— unrealistic. like something he could only hope to dream about, and just dream about.
↬ until he thought of atsumu with a little kid, a spit image of either one of them, sitting on his lap, giggling and laughing and squealing in glee. and so he decided, there will always be cons, he just has to see if the pros outweighed them. and honestly, they did. they were pro-athletes, sure, but that also meant they were financially stable, and could provide for a child, properly. they were mature now, knew each other very well, and had adapted to living with one another. they had family and friends all around. the kid would for sure grow up loved and cared for, and him and atsumu would add another person to their family. it really seemed like a dream, but this time, an attainable one.
↬ so as he ate dinner with his lover, he blurted out, “let’s raise a child together,” and atsumu honest to god choked on his food. he asked sakusa if he was serious, if he meant it, if this was real, and sakusa’s answer was yes to every single one of his question. yes, he was serious; yes, he meant it; yes, this was real. as real as can be.
↬ they both already knew they wanted a surrogate, and it didn’t matter who was the father. so long as the child was theirs.
↬ finding a surrogate was, well, a pain, to put it into perspective. sakusa was so picky about the “requirements,” if you will, and atsumu was suspicious of every single woman, it was kind of ridiculous really. he just “didn’t trust that they wouldn’t run away with the baby!” in his words. atsumu suggested sakusa’s older sister, which seemed perfect in his head, but sakusa refused, claiming it was 1. extremely weird, and 2. he doubted she’d say yes, with her own life to handle.
↬ and it finally, finally, came to atsumu: he could always just ask, well, you. he had met you during his college years, and since then, he’d been coincidentally crossing paths with you ever since then, and you’d even managed their msby jackals team at some point. it was weirdly ironic how he’s coming back to you, kind of like fate.
↬ so he suggested it to sakusa, and for once, the latter didn’t really have any way to object, except, “what if this inconveniences her?” other than that, you were the perfect candidate. they knew you well, trusted you, knew they could rely on you. and atsumu was sure you wouldn’t run with the baby. with regards to the inconvenience part, well, they could always just deal with that when the time came.
↬ they invited you over for some breakfast two days later, after they’d thought about it properly, endlessly, and figured you were their best option. it was weird seeing them so nervous when you first arrived, like they were breaking up with you or something. atsumu barely ate with how nauseous he felt, and sakusa spent the entire time watching you eat instead, hands fidgeting and legs shaking. it was really weird, but you didn’t bring it up, letting them take their own time to tell you whatever it was they wanted to tell you, because obviously, they clearly had something to say.
↬ after breakfast, you sat in their living room, just watching the tv quietly, until sakusa offered to get you some water. you weren’t really thirsty, but you agreed anyways, unsurprised to see atsumu rise from his own seat a minute later with a, “be right back,” as he headed to the kitchen. you could hear them bickering and whisper-yelling, and if you weren’t starting to grow as nervous as they were, you would’ve had it in you to laugh. they returned looking like they were bearing the most daunting of news, sitting down on the couch perpendicular to you. atsumu’s hands were sweaty and intertwined tightly together, while sakusa tried to remain as composed as possible. it seemed like the dark haired man would speak up, finally, parting his mouth with a deep breath.
↬ but it’s atsumu that blurts out, “please have my baby!— our baby. please have our baby.”
↬ honestly, your first response was to laugh, in disbelief, as you clutch your glass of water. but then you see their faces — god they looked so goddamn scared — and you realized that, they were really serious. they really wanted you to carry their baby for them. holy shit?—
↬ you were mostly speechless after that, stuttering as you ask them to please explain, you’re honored but are they are, have they thought about this? properly? in depth?
↬ to your surprise, they really knew what they were doing. they’d done their research, and thought about a million other options before deciding that you were the best one. they also repeatedly told you that you didn’t have to do this, and that they didn’t want to guilt-trip you into doing it either. they wanted you to say yes only if you yourself wanted to say yes, and if this wouldn’t negatively affect you or halt your life in any way. you were the one that was going to be carrying the baby anyways, weren’t you? at the end of the day, this was all about you.
↬ you asked them for time to think about it, and reminded them that it wasn’t a no. you just wanted to make sure you were making the right decision whichever that ended up being. a few days later, you call them, asking them to meet up one way or another, and atsumu’s even more nervous than he was asking you; not even sakusa’s gentle lips to his temple or large hands soothingly rubbing at his back or his kind words could help him. sakusa himself was insanely anxious. in his head, it seemed like your ‘no,’ would finalize everything. that it would really mean no hope in having a child of their own, their very own.
↬ you invite them over to your home, and the kettle is already boiling when they arrive. you make them tea and make small talk if only to delay the inevitable. but, to each of their surprises, you take a deep breath and say, “i’d be honored to carry your baby for you,” with the brightest, warmest smile. sakusa has to bite his inner cheek to will himself to not cry, because he can’t believe you said yes. you agreed. you’re going to carry their baby. him and atsumu were having a baby.
↬ atsumu doesn’t stop himself from throwing his arms around you, collapsing on top of you in tight hug that you kind of can’t breathe, but you let him, and you laugh when he thanks you for saying yes, that he’ll “be forever in your debt.”
↬ it’s the happiest you’ve seen either of them.
↬ when you’re done with the process of insemination (of course, atsumu does joke that the three of you should go the natural way and have a threesome, to which he earns a smack from his lover and a smack from you, at the same time), the three of you just have to wait, really. it’s the longest period of waiting you’ve ever had to do, but you try to be patient, as patient as you can be. when you wake up one morning and throw up, you look at your period tracking app to see if maybe you were pms’ing. except, you weren’t. you were late. like a good three weeks late.
↬ immediately, you’re booking a doctor’s appointment. you wait to tell sakusa and atsumu after confirming your suspicions, because you don’t want to raise their hopes up for nothing. they’ve already been swimming in a pool of doubts ever since the insemination, calling you everyday to check up on you and ask for any progress. when the doctor confirms your pregnancy — holy shit you were pregnant — the first thing you do is go over to their house. you know it’s not the best idea to show up unannounced, but with how long they’ve been waiting, and how much they’ve been wanting this, the more and more you fed into it, you couldn’t wait any longer to tell them. you arrive, and the moment sakusa opens the door for you, you gasp out, “i’m pregnant.”
↬ sakusa’s quite literally frozen in shock, his mouth pressed in a thin line with eyes wide open, while atsumu walks over and goes, “oh hey,” in greeting before noticing sakusa’s face and just ???? “what’s going on?”
↬ “i’m pregnant.”
↬ “you’re what?”
↬ you show them with tears stinging your eyes the results of the test you’d taken at the doctor’s, and atsumu grips the report so tightly, like it’ll disappear if it slips only slightly from his hands. sakusa’s still in shock, trying to process everything. it takes him a good while before he can function properly again.
↬ the pregnancy itself is a lot smoother than you’d imagined. iwaizumi, as their athletic trainer, although not well versed with pregnancy, knew a lot about health and taking care of yourself in general, so he made sure you were always eating right and healthy. he even accompanied you once when sakusa and atsumu couldn’t, to the doctor, and made sure to ask him specifically what you should and shouldn’t be eating. all of the olympic/national team are more excited than anything. they’re insanely protective over you, and always pamper and care for you you when they can, whether that be back/neck/shoulder massages or giving you their food when they notice you eyeing it or letting you lean entirely on any of them for support as you walk. granted, they do make fun of you, especially the bigger your stomach got, but they mean well, really. suna once made fun of you and, because of the hormones, and because he was genuinely just mean, you started to cry. since then, suna swore off bullying you, at least until you gave birth.
↬ osamu is beyond ecstatic to become an uncle. he’s so excited it makes atsumu incredibly emotional. he goes with his brother on trips to ikea to buy a crib and gifts him an insane amount of baby clothes and always begins a conversation with, “how’s the baby?” every time you’re around, osamu’s hand can be found resting on your stomach, soothingly rubbing, excitedly grinning when he feels a kick. he is just so happy for his brother, he could cry.
↬ you ask them if they want a gender reveal when you find out or to keep it until the delivery of the baby, but they’re both insanely impatient (even though sakusa does try to convince atsumu to wait because it’ll be exciting, he himself isn’t even that convinced of that and they just ask you to tell them). with the help of osamu and his and atsumu’s parents, you organize a gender reveal party. the moment he sees the pink smoke, atsumu cheers so loudly it makes you laugh till your stomach hurt. sakusa’s grinning wider than you’ve ever seen him, grabbing atsumu’s face and kissing him, before pulling you into a tight hug. it’s literally the cutest thing ever, everyone just cheering loudly around you and celebrating with you.
↬ when you go into labor, you’re with neither of them, but with osamu, aran, and kita. they were staying the night at a hotel since they had training away from where they lived, and you were spending the night at osamu’s because the fathers of your baby really didn’t want you to be alone so close to your due date, and who better than osamu? your water didn’t break, but you kept having contractions. you were brushing it off as normal pain at the start, but they started to get worse, and closer together in time. kita, because he’s kita, had been keeping track, and told you how far apart your contractions were. to which you went, “contractions?!”
↬ aran’s calling sakusa and atsumu as kita grabs your bag as osamu grabs his keys and helps you to his car. you really couldn’t have been around a better set of men, because they were perfectly composed the whole time, helping you breathe and stay calm by staying calm themselves, reassuring you that you didn’t need to worry and that you will get to the hospital in time. they did flinch every time you screamed or cried out in pain, but aran held your hand the entire drive there, and kita guided you to steadying yourself as osamu drove as fast as he could.
↬ the issue was with sakusa and atsumu. to say they were freaking out would be an understatement. they were positively losing it. atsumu’s anxiety was louder than sakusa’s, but the latter’s was clear as ever on his pale skin and clammy hands. they were so annoying in the delivery room, literally faring worse off than you, who was pushing a whole baby out of her body. when you finally gave birth to a healthy baby girl, atsumu sobbed and sakusa cried in his hands, so maybe it was alright after all.
↬ they literally couldn’t believe their eyes when the nurse handed you the baby and placed her on your chest. she was so, so tiny, so beautiful, and theirs. honestly, you couldn’t hold back your own tears at the sight of her, and at their reaction to her. you held her in your arms as they thanked you, over and over and over again, for the biggest blessing they could ever receive.
↬ despite the fact that you were simply their surrogate, sakusa and atsumu knew they couldn’t just separate you and your baby, and neither could they just take her home all of a sudden. so for the first few months, you stayed in their guest room, but the baby slept in her own room. it was more difficult than you expected it to be when you were leaving her to go back to your own home, but they promised you repeatedly that they’re not really taking her away. it wasn’t as if you couldn’t visit at any time you wanted to come visit her. but at the end of the day, you knew what you had been signing up for, and that she was their daughter.
↬ she grows up to be a gorgeous woman. she’s interested in volleyball, sure, she’d been raised with volleyball players everywhere around her, but it’s not her immediate passion. atsumu thought he’d be more upset about that than he actually was, because he found out that it didn’t matter at all what she wanted to do. hell, if she wanted to do nothing at all and stay home forever with them, he was 100% on board with that. whatever made her happy and healthy, he was okay with. she grows up to be really close and really comfortable with both of her fathers, and they make sure with every passing day that no matter what, she can always come to them. and she does, about every little thing. and each and every time, they listen and advice and guide her properly. a s parents, they’re a perfect balance of strict and lenient. they set and raise her to never cross those boundaries, but otherwise they give her complete freedom. they respect her privacy, her decisions, everything.
↬ there was a day when she came back home from school, and they had taken a biology class for kids, where a teacher had explained periods to them. obviously, as curious as ever, she’d asked her dads about it, because she didn’t really get it. she wanted to know the how’s and the why’s and the what’s and the when’s. with every passing second atsumu had felt his lifespan shorten. eventually he suggested they call you, who she knew as her ‘aunt’ for the time being, since you were a woman and nobody would really explain it better than you. when she did get her period eventually, and had to sheepishly and shyly ask her dads to go to the store for her because she needed, um, supplies, atsumu lost it. sakusa had to try and calm him down all while laughing as he got ready to go to the store for her, because the drama of miya atsumu never gets old. he just couldn’t believe she was already getting her period. what the hell! what the actual hell!
↬ of course, he proceeded to embarrass her by telling osamu, telling sakusa’s parents, telling his parents. not cool :(
↬ when she was old enough, especially to understand the concept of being a surrogate (oh my god the sex talk was a whole other insufferable thing), they told her about you, and that you were actually her biological mother and not just an ‘auntie.’ she tried to be angry at them for keeping it from her, but she was honestly more excited about finding out than anything. it brought the two of you closer together, and for the next mother’s day, she organized a whole brunch for you, her and her dads, got you a gift, flowers, everything. yeah, you did cry.
↬ you genuinely have never been more satisfied and thankful for a decision like this one, ever, especially because of how much of a blessing the outcome had been.

genre: (first time trying this but..) office au!, cheating sakusa au!, arranged marriage au!
request: prompt 4 ("you made me think i actually mattered")
join my 500 follower event --> prompt list here!
---
"now i pronounce you husband and wife." the priest spoke, "you may now kiss the bride."
you could feel sakusa's finger reaching for your chin, before slightly lifting them up to reach his lips. though today was probably the second or maybe even third time you had met him, you were now tied to life with the gorgeous ebony-haired man that was sealing the vows with a kiss.
a smile graced your face at the sight of the video that was currently playing on the tv, your eyes darting towards the man you now called husband who was watching every moment intently. to be honest, when you had first married him 3 years ago, only thoughts of marriage failure occupied your minds, you were so certain that he had no intention of treating you well after being forced into an unwanted wedding.
however, much to your surprise, sakusa was more than understanding, he was considerate and knew you probably shared the same feeling about the wedding- nothing more than a disturbance to work. it started out well, with a few greetings in the morning, which then slowly led to kissing goodbye: one thing led to another and now you were head over heels for the very man.
'hey omi.' you whispered as you sat beside your husband, cuddling into his warmth.
'he y/n,' he greeted back as he kissed the top of your head, wrapping his hand around your shoulder to only pull you closer. and at the moment, it was just the two of you, comfortable in each other's warmth, along with the soft laughter emitted from the tape. it was just you and him, your head on his shoulder, and his head on yours, and you could only smile with content as you slowly drifted off to sleep.
you blinked once, then you blinked again, trying to adjust to the ombre rays of the rising sun that glared at you. you felt a slightly wet sensation on your forehead, only to meet the warm black eyes of sakusa.
'good morning sunshine, I'm off to work now.' he said.
you gave him a smile, it never failed to see him first thing in the morning, ' have a nice day omi.' you replied.
you shut your eyes again, hoping to get just a tad bit more of sleep- that was until it hit your senses.
1/12- the start of December, 25 days before Christmas, and also, your anniversary with him. you rushed to get up, panicking at what you should do to make this day special like how sakusa made the last year extraordinary. he had planned a night picnic near the shores of his private beach, and all you could remember was the face of sakusa kiyoomi under the moon-light sky and against the calming waves.
before you knew, you stood in front of his cooperate building, your eyes wandering towards the mass amount of employees rushing in and out of the building. immersing yourself into the crowd, you drifted towards the elevator, before clicking the floor your husband's office was in.
you slowly bounced on your heels, nervous at how he would possibly react as he disliked the idea of having you at his work; you did not blame him, you knew how distracting having someone close to you at work.
ting! the elevator chimed a signal, telling you that you had reached your desired floor.
perhaps your eyes were tricking you, or perhaps your mind had stopped functioning enough to grab what was going on in front of your eyes, however, the sight in front of you, one in which your husband was wrapped up with his lover, tore something in you.
blinking once more to make sure you weren't seeing an illusion, you could feel your mouth gaping slightly in shock. your eyes locked with sakusa, panic rushing through his eyes in a flash as he pushed off his lover in an instant.
'i'm sorry for interrupting, please go on.' you whispered as you shut the door behind you.
you turned around, walking towards the same elevator that had brought you to this floor just a few moments ago. how ironic you thought, you were merely feeling happiness on the way here, yet now you were not even sure on what to feel- perhaps its jealousy that was eating you away, or the lingering sadness that seemed to surge again at the thought of sakusa.
'y/n!" you heard sakusa yell from down the hallway, 'y/n! please let me explain! it's not what you think it is!"
anger roared through you, he actually had the audacity to tell you that wasn't what you thought it was, him kissing another person? what else could it have been apart from cheating, what else could it have been that he had to explain?
turning around to face the eyes of a cheater you had once proudly called your husband, you spoke, " then what is it sakusa, what were you doing mingling with another person- kissing them even, behind my back. what do you want to name it sakusa? an act to prove your love for me?"
tears started to edge your eyes, your emotions slowly spilling over the rims of your well kept pool.
'you actually made me feel like i mattered sakusa, you made me feel like i was the only person you could ever love in the world. you made me feel the emptiness when you're not around me, and with every little kiss you gave me, you made me fall for you even deeper. yet, how could you sakusa? i thought i meant more than just a contract to you."
it hurt sakusa to see you in a pool of tears, especially ones that came from his actions, he could feel a punch in his gut from reality- telling him that whatever he had with you was all over: yelling at him that the person he truly loved was going to leave him all because he could not keep it in his pants.
'i want a divorce sakusa, please just let me go."

an absolutely massive Haikyuu!! fic rec pt. 1
I went through my entire ao3 history because I’m insane, AND here’s my favorites. (There’s not a lot of aus because I’m not a huge fan of them, and there’s no sad endings. I’m a hopeless romantic leave me alone. There is angst though! Lots)
Beginning with SakuAtsu (I’m a hoe for Atsumu):
Hide and seek, by badreputation (10k. E. canonverse)
It sure is a good thing Atsumu doesn't have a latex allergy
It’s just a fleeting infatuation. As long as he pushes through it he’ll manage. So what if nowadays there isn’t a night where he doesn’t dream of Sakusa pinning him down on his own bed, in the shower or make Atsumu go down on his knees in the hallway? Those are just pesky details.
Some Memories, We May Keep, by mika60 (31k. T. canonverse)
This is canon, fight me on it.
The missing panels, the missing games, the missing moments.
The them we never saw.
*Now complete! :)*
every action has an equal and opposite reaction, by akanemnida (10k. T. canonverse)
Miya Atsumu gets a modeling contract with Calvin Klein, which sets Kiyoomi's heart in motion.
(Or: Sakusa Kiyoomi realizes that the rules governing the universe are absolute rubbish at explaining matters of the heart.)
Ass-fingering as a prelude to relations of the emotional kind: a case study, by neverwere (2k. E. canonverse)
Fucking hilarious, the imagery is absolutely hilarious.
"Marry me, he thinks, as he comes around Sakusa's fingers and all over himself.
This. This is exactly why you don't let strangers or very attractive teammates finger you out of the blue.
Everyone knows that the ass is the shortest way to the heart."
Or
When it comes to sex, Atsumu has rules. Guidelines! SOPs! He swears they work, they've always worked.
Until they don't.
parallax error: angle of inclination, by min_mintobe (10k. T. canonverse)
But now there's the one person Atsumu'd promised himself never to touch. His eyes leave Atsumu breathless with guilt at seventeen, and he spends the next six years safe in the satisfaction of making things right.
Feelings, of the physical kind, and one kiss.
ft. competitive spirit, childishness, and late night conversations.
Atsumu POV.
autumn ends, but we remain, by wolfsbvne (5k. T. canonverse)
Author says in their ending notes that they're not an ‘author’, but methinks they should write more and pursue that career path because this was wonderful.
atsumu stares at his ceiling at 2am. he stares until he can make out designs in his popcorn ceiling. a cat there, an onigiri here, and then something that suspiciously looks like a mop of hair, triangle eyebrows, and oh those two bumps are moles right above what atsumu just mapped out as an eye.
(or, atsumu is in kind of in love. sakusa is maybe in like.)
I left a taste in your mouth, by emso (26k. E. bodyguard au)
Because obviously
Sakusa fixes him with a vague expression of something like distaste. There's a scathing edge to his tone when he speaks. "Contrary to what you seem to believe, not everyone who meets you is instantly dying to get into your pants, Miya."
"Lucky I don't really care right now what 'everyone' wants to do, then." Atsumu swivels his mug around on the tabletop a few times, and then brings it to his mouth to drain the last few dregs of his latte. Over the rim of his mug, he adds casually, "Just you."
Whoa hey Bodyguard Omi, I think Spoiled Rich Kid Tsumu might possibly have a teensy crush on you.
How do you know you're in love?, by spiritscript (12k. T. canonverse)
Pure art
“So, how did you know you were in love? How did it feel?” Atsumu felt nervous asking this, a slight wiggling in the pit of his stomach, unable to look at the man beside him who rolled his shoulders in an attempt to reset his posture. “I mean, you didn’t resonate with what I said, so, what is love to you Omi-kun?”
Atsumu thinks he must be in love with Hinata Shouyou and so asks the best person he knows to help him understand his feelings
 san'yo expressway, 6:17 pm, by yamabota (13k. T. canonverse)
Of violent forethoughts, and handheld car vacuums.
Atsumu tilts his head to watch a slice of orange light bend over the impassive planes of Sakusa’s face. He is absolutely, ruthlessly beautiful. It makes Atsumu want to punch something—put his foot through the windshield—scream, maybe.
Kiss him again, maybe.
They have 344 kilometers to figure this one out.
Different Kinds of Dysfunctional, by DeathBelle (Series, 5 works. T-E. Canonverse)
Honestly, I think this one is kind of famous amongst Sakuatsu readers but I can’t not include it. If I recall correctly, this is the fic that got me into Sakuastu, so thanks, DeathBelle. The characters are portrayed really well (i.e. Sakusa is disgusted and confused, and Atsumu is a little shit). You’ve got a good balance between conversations and descriptive thoughts and all-in-all it’s just a really good read.
Atsumu said into the heavy silence, “You can’t say you’ve never thought about it.”
"Thought about what?" said Sakusa.
Atsumu smiled to himself, smug. "You know."
"No, I don't."
"You know. Of course you’ve thought about it. There’s no reason to be ashamed, Omi-kun. I’m a real catch.”
Sakusa was appalled. "You're disgusting."
"You flatter me. I'm not judging you. I can't lie and say I haven't thought about it, too."
Sakusa shifted, slowly, to peer over his shoulder. He wasn’t scowling, but his expression was unreadable. “Please tell me you’re joking.”
Atsumu wasn't joking, and he was about to get more than he bargained for.
i'll do anything you say (if you say it with your hands), by liliapocalypse (7k words. T. canonverse):
Oh, god. This one was so cute. Super fluffy. Loved the metaphors and symbolism. Sometimes you just can’t say things out loud.
When a bad injury shocks the whole V. League, Sakusa finds himself paired with Atsumu for more rigorous assisted stretches before every training. Atsumu then finds himself writing random letters on Sakusa’s skin to soothe the spiker, forcing Sakusa to reevaluate how his touch aversion became an irresistible yearning for more, and how the boy with the annoying hair somehow brought that hunger to life.
Or, the fic where Atsumu mindlessly writes a confession on Sakusa’s back when he thought Sakusa wasn't paying attention. Sakusa always did.
mortality is found is the flesh of your sins, by novrik (10k. M. canonverse)
This is literally my favorite fic of all time. Not just of Sakuatsu, not even of the Haikyuu fandom. Ever. Favorite fic ever. Listen, I’m an atheist, but this fic took me on a religious experience that I haven't come down from yet. The symbolism had me actually shivering, and I had to put my phone down quite a few times. Just, oh wow, just read it. I’d like to share my favorite line; ‘And if Sakusa is Eve, if he takes a bite, what then? Perhaps, he is a little afraid of the knowledge he will gain’. My god, author, if you ever see this, this is not only a plea for you to continue writing, but also an offer of marriage. Your hand, author?
dickhead one, sakusa kiyoomi. dickhead two, miya atsumu. neither understand how to communicate.
Pray tell, why are you drawn to him?
Are you drawn to him in the way he looks beautiful even when crying?
When his eyes are red, shiny tears streaking down, lips quivering, is he beautiful?
sakuatsu domesticity simulator, by pseudoanalytics (75 words. T. canonverse)
75 words because it's actually a digital art simulator. An interactive fic! How frickin’ cool is that? The art is so beautiful and I love the plotline and ugh, just everything. Please read, or watch, or click around, yes. Good.
Update: artist created another interactive fic and of course it is wonderful. SunaOsa this time! https://newttxt.itch.io/cheesecake honestly just check out @newttxt their work is amazing and I love everything they do.
a vaguely interactive mixture of fic, art, and html, where you too can experience the inherent romance of a big fat jerk and a too-blunt jerk attempting intimacy
***
(this is the result of letting the sakuatsu brainworms really get to you...)
Pas De Deux, by hatsuna (19k words. T. Ballet/college au)
There's just something about prim, proper ballet Sakusa and human-benign-tumor Atsumu that makes my heart burst. Seriously gorgeous writing style, loved every second. By the same author who wrote ‘liminal spaces’ (which is also just perfect) so that should give you a good idea of the style.
The mystery athlete gives Kiyoomi a once over in the mirror. “Yer pretty tall,” he observes. The twang of an accent rasps low in his throat. His brazen eyes drift to Kiyoomi’s legs, and something like exhilaration glints gold in his gaze. “Good quads, too. Ya ever played volleyball?”
 Ah. So it’s volleyball.
“I’m a dancer. Ballet and contemporary, mostly.”
the affective presence of our black and white reruns, by kozumess (19k. E. canonverse)
Beautiful, classic misunderstandings, my heart actually physically ached at that one scene (you’ll know the scene when you come to it). Kiyoomi is so refreshingly relaxed(? Is that the right word to use? We all know Omi never truly relaxes).
but the want, it's always there, constant like the static playing on every television channel, present even when the station disconnects.
cut the conversation, just open your mouth, by meeksoo (E. 16k. canonverse)
Absolutely filthy...BUT WITH FEELINGS! Completely nails the Sakuatsu dynamic, and protective ‘Tsumu? Love it.
Sakusa opens the door. He always does.
They’re teammates first, barely even friends. But they hook up on the regular and it works. It’s simple, easy. But then a fan gets too close, Sakusa reacts, and Atsumu is swept up in how quickly things can get complicated.
__
As Atsumu palms himself over his briefs, still feeling off, he realizes it’s because he still wants it. Him. Sakusa. Even after already having him earlier.
He should probably feel self-conscious, mildly ashamed even, that he’s panting ‘Omi Omi’ into the dark beneath the steady thrum of the AC unit when Sakusa’s right down the hall, probably good for it if Atsumu ended up back at his door. Instead, he lays there, writhing and sweaty, alone in his hotel room bed thinking about Sakusa and touching himself.
Afterward, as cum begins to cool on his chest, Atsumu really can’t help but face the fact that things may be getting complicated.
the hands that beckon me to come, by Ellieb3an (4k. E. canonverse)
So hot, what the fuck!
The toss, the run, the spike-serve at the end of it all—Sakusa sees it happen in perfect clarity as if time has slowed and his vision narrows to the center where just Miya exists, all powerful muscle and extraordinary skill and that air of confidence.
Sakusa isn’t one of the best receivers in the league for no reason, so his body moves on muscle memory, forearms absorbing the sting of the hit. It’s not enough. But his eyes are still on Miya—on the way his shorts ride up his muscular thighs as he lands, on the bead of sweat dripping down his forehead, on the clench of his fist thrust into the air—when the ball ricochets out of bounds.
***
Atsumu stays late at practices to work on his new third serve, even when his frustration with it starts throwing off the rest of his game. Sakusa notices and starts hanging back to secretly watch him from the gym doors. He’s fascinated with Atsumu's determination... and more than a little turned on by it, too.
you're the flame i use (when it gets dark), by starkartifices (55k. M. canonverse. Ongoing)
Everything is the same except the Sakusas are super rich.
“Oh, if you want dear, you could bring a plus one. Though, I doubt you have a partner yet.”
“I do actually.”
“What was that, dear?”
"I do have a partner, I mean."
alt title: crazy rich sakusas
the inherent romance of classical conditioning (or; the fine art of emotional recognition), by pseudoanalytics (13k. E. canonverse)
Ah, yes. A Pavloved sex life. A Pavloved LOVE life??
It's stupid. Atsumu isn't a romantic, no matter how many times he's imagined laying Sakusa out and finally really touching him.
So there's no explanation for why Atsumu is constantly stuck thinking about brushing his fingertips against the meat of Sakusa's palms or the prominent tendons in his freaky wrists.
There's no explanation for why doing dishes sets off a warm burn in his ribcage, or why when he smells disinfectant he inhales like he's walking past a bakery.
Yer doin' this to me, he thinks furiously, as Sakusa derails his thoughts with kisses that come more and more frequently now. Yer conditionin' me, and I can't stop it.
flutterbird (a collection of sakuatsu oneshots), by wordstruck (5 works. T-E. canonverse)
Works 1-3, I think follow a linear story, whereas the last two don't.
All sakuatsu works are just the angstiest, most miscommunication filled pieces of absolute gold and this one is no exception. Wow. These men are assholes and they bring out the worst in each other, but I’ll be damned if they’re not soulmates.
Collection of SakuAtsu fics. Several fics are loosely set in the same storyverse. Not necessarily directly connected and can all be read as standalones.

More Domestic Head-canons
Guys, I’ve been reading too many angsty fanfics lately and I'm in the mood for some fluff. So here it is. Most of these are going to be for after the time skip so SPOILER ALERT!!!!
I have a part 1 to this here >>> Part 1
SakuAtsu
- Sakusa has a routine for everything but Atsumu is surprisingly unbothered and rolls with each and every one of them
- Sakusa always gets Free Onigiri at Osamu’s shop.
- He jokes its compensation for dealing with his whiny asshole of a brother.
- Atsumu and Osamu have a little sister and she loves Sakusa
- They have no less than eight house plants that are all named after people they know (mostly their teammates )
- Sakusa is surprisingly really cuddly when he’s drunk or sleepy but he doesn’t get drink that often
- Their relationship is a fan favorite
- They may be dating now but they’re still super competitive with each other on the court
- Sakusa unconsciously picks up some of Atusmu’s accent bc it’s still really strong.
- I will forever believe  that Kiyoomi Miya is one of the nicest sounding married Haikyuu ship names so there ya go.
Kuroo X Kenma
- Kuroo obviously gets up earlier and leaves meals out for Kenma when he wakes up
- they have more than one cat
- When Kenma falls asleep streaming, Kuroo carries him to bed
- Kenma likes to spoil Kuroo (Bc in reality i’m pretty sure that Kuroo makes just as much as any salaryman)
- Kuroo owns every single piece of bouncing ball merch.
- He insisted on buying it himself to support Kenma’s business but Kenma has definitely transferred the money back each time.
- At the start of their relationship, they felt they didn't really need to get married to stay together forever
- But eventually the idea grew on them and they did end up tying the knot (I have another head canon >>> Here)
- When their friends start having kids, Kenma is surprisingly comfortable with babysitting
- They’re the equivalent of cool wine aunts of Nekoma
Bokuto X Akaashi
- They're the first to get married, (their wedding was surprisingly small) and the first to have kids (they have a girl)
- Sometimes Bokuto brings his daughter to practice and they all fight over who gets to carry her first
- Akaashi does his best to go to every single one of Bokuto’s games.
- All of Bokuto’s teammates have Akaashi’s number on speed dial
- Date night is on Wednesdays
- Bokuto never leaves home without giving Akaashi a kiss, even though he’s still sleeping most of the time.
- Akaashi owns a lot of Black Jackals Merch and I mean A lot. He has a full drawer dedicated to it. And so does their daughter
- Every other sentence during Bokuto’s interviews starts with “My Husband”
- They have pet lizard named after the Schwiden Adler’s mascot
- Sometimes it sits on his head while Akaashi’s working from home.
Iwaizumi X Oikawa
- They get married too
- In Argentina
- Both teams are invited to the wedding and nobody misses it.
- They make long distance work
- Oikawa’s teammates all think that Iwaizumi’s name is “Iwa-chan”
- Oikawa gets high-key adopted by a cute grandma and her wife who both come to all his games and feed him too much.
- They helped him to learn Spanish
- They make an effort to FaceTime every night.
- They’re both still close to their Seijoh team
- Iwaizumi saves all his vacation days so he can spend them with Oikawa in Argentina.
-They’re not one hundred precent sure what they're going to do after Oikawa retires but it’s not something they’re thinking about right now

sakuatsu | First Love
Kiyoomi's parents have been each other's first love. They were high school sweethearts who married each other as soon as they were both legal. They had a child while they were in college. After graduating, they had another.
And then they started having problems and thought the best way to solve it would be to have another baby.
That had been Kiyoomi.
But as soon as Kiyoomi entered high school, his parents finally separate for good.
And that's when Kiyoomi had promised to himself to never marry his first love.
It was a logical conclusion. His parents had been young and stupid and had been whisked away by hormones they had misinterpreted as love.
Kiyoomi will not make the same mistake.
Kiyoomi will date as many people to test his compatibility with. The more test subjects the better chance of finding his so-called "perfect match"— someone who he can spend his life with.
Because as much as Kiyoomi hated people, he didn't want to be alone.
Then he meets Miya Atsumu.
It's weird. When they met at training camp, Kiyoomi didn't think Atsumu was any more special than all the other players with them. He was skilled, sure. But he wasn't the only one.
They weren't friends either. At most, they were acquaintances.
That's why it came as a big surprise to him when they began dating two years after joining MSBY.
It had been a slow burn of bantering guised as flirting and unresolved sexual tension on and off the court.
It came out of nowhere and Kiyoomi hadn't been prepared.
Miya Atsumu was Kiyoomi's first real boyfriend.
He hadn't thought they would really last when he agreed on one date that led to two that led to staying over at Atsumu's apartment almost every day.
He liked Atsumu. He was fun to be with and he cared for Kiyoomi's idiosyncrasies.
A year into dating and Atsumu drops the L bomb during a mundane night where the two of them had just been lazing around the Atsumu's apartment.
Atsumu had told him "I love you" like it was the easiest thing in the world.
Kiyoomi hadn't even taken into account that their relationship is that serious. But now that Atsumu had brought it up, Kiyoomi hates the fact that he comes to the conclusion that he loves Atsumu too.
He doesn't say it back to Atsumu that night but he hadn't been upset.
"It's okay if ya don't say it back yet, Omi. I just wanted ya to know."
Kiyoomi almost feels guilty. But he wasn't ready to face the fact that Miya Atsumu was his first love.
And suddenly he remembers the promise his teenage self had made after going through the pain of his parent's separation.
He couldn't marry Miya Atsumu.
Atsumu would have to be the first of Kiyoomi's many conquests. If he married Atsumu, it wouldn't end well.
He doesn't want that to happen. He doesn't want them to end.
Kiyoomi knows full well that this is his first relationship and he has no previous experience to compare it with but Kiyoomi swears he's never been happier being with Miya Atsumu.
He wants to be with him for the rest of his life.
He wonders if these are the thoughts his parents had before deciding to tie the knot and then ending up crashing to the ground.
He doesn't want that to happen to them. Not to Atsumu.
Atsumu deserved the world. It's just a shame Kiyoomi won't be the one to give it to him.
But even just for a little while, he wants to hold onto Atsumu as much as he still can. So he does. He doesn't let go.
He treasured every moment with him as if it were his last.
And before he knows it, they've been dating five years and same-sex marriage has been legalized and Kiyoomi knows he has to end things now before they crash and burn later.
It's better to do it now while they still have a lot of happy memories to hold onto.
He doesn't want to end up like his parents who once upon a time loved each other but now scorn each other at just the mere mention of the other's name.
He doesn't want to end up hating Miya Atsumu.
And he can't bear the thought of Atsumu hating him.
He has dragged on their relationship as much as he can and now Kiyoomi is afraid to say he loves Atsumu even more. But he's indulged himself enough, he'd collected many good memories and now it's time to let them go.
When Kiyoomi and Atsumu go home that night (because they've been living together since their 3rd anniversary), Kiyoomi breaks up with his first love.
"Atsu, we need to talk," he had said after they finished dinner.
Atsumu looks at him with caution as if sensing something was about to go horribly wrong. "What is it, Omi?"
"I think," he swallows, looking away from Atsumu's piercing gaze. "I think we should break up."
"What? Why?"
Kiyoomi doesn't answer. He doesn't have a reasonable one.
Atsumu crosses his arms over his chest. "I don't want to break up until you give me a valid reason."
"That's not how it works," Kiyoomi points out.
"Oh yeah?" Atsumu challenges. "Well it is now."
"Atsumu," Kiyoomi pleads. "Don't make this harder than it has to be."
"I just don't understand, Omi. This is so out of the blue. We're not having problems as far as I know. So what are ya not telling me?"
"Nothing," Kiyoomi lies. "I just want to break up. Nothing else to it."
Atsumu furrows his brows, unsatisfied with the answer. "Is this about the news that same sex marriage is finally legalized?"
Kiyoomi stays silent. Atsumu knows him too well.
Atsumu sighs as if he finally understands. He sits on the bed beside Kiyoomi, their thighs touching. He turns Kiyoomi's chin so he would face him and looks directly into his eyes.
"Kiyoomi, do ya really wanna break up with me? At least look into my eyes when ya answer."
"If ya say yes, then," Atsumu breathes out a soft exhale. "Okay, we'll break up. But that's only if ya really want to."
Kiyoomi looks deep into Atsumu's eyes and almost cries. "No, I don't," he chokes out.
Atsumu kisses him reassuringly. "Okay. I don't want to either."
"So let's not break up, okay?"
"But my parents—"
"We're not yer parents, Omi-kun," Atsumu interrupts. "If it makes ya feel better, we don't have to get married. We can just stay like this. For as long as ya want. For as long as you'll have me."
"Okay," Kiyoomi finally agrees, leaning forward to kiss Atsumu again. And again. And again. He'd never want to stop doing it. If he could, he would do it for the rest of his life.
Forever sounded awfully nice. If he could, he'd want Atsumu forever.
So they stay just the way they are. Living together, dating, without the pressure of marriage.
They get a dog later on and it's like having a family.
On their tenth anniversary, it was Kiyoomi who finally proposed.
"To my first love," he says while on his knees. "Will you do me the honor of being my last, my one and only?"
When Atsumu says yes with tears in his eyes, he doesn't even think about the end of them coming.
Because there won't be.

SunaOsa fanfic recs: valentines edition~~
SunaOsa is one of my all time favorite ships and this past month, there has been/was an exchange going on between writers (here is the link) and artists (separately) and because I don’t have a life (or maybe it’s just that SunaOsa is my life LOL), I’m here to tell you some of my favorite fics from the pile :D However, as much as I love a ship, sometimes fluff is too asajndajnd so mind you there will probably be a lot of good fics missing just cause I couldn’t get myself to read more fluff (or angst) LOL (IM SORRY but sometimes I also just can’t motivate myself to read a fic no matter how good it looks OOPS).
As always, please check warning and tags before reading any of these fics, and take care of yourselves!!!!
In no particular order (jk the order is last updated haha) tho my favorites will have *** next to them :)
***glass stained black by unrequitedangst (E) 31k // Mafia AU’s are some of my favorite kinds of fics, and this one did not disappoint! The character development of Osamu is really legit and despite being mafia, it’s not that heavy or angst of a fic (but you should still definitely read tags and warnings first). It’s an Osamu heavy fic, and if you’re into reading him being stupid, go right ahead LOL.
redux by catalysis (T) 2.3k // ngl I hate break-up fics with a passion truely (when you can’t handle fluff or angst what to do) but I liked the concept for this one hehe (so I made myself suffer LOL). It was short, but cute !!! and the unspoken words really hit me in the FEELS (so what I’m dramatic fight me LOL).
Impropriety by DeathBelle (T) 5.7k // royalty~ I love the banter between them in this fic and we DO stan respectful Osamu yes we do <33333 The relationships between not only SunaOsa but SunaAtsu (because even though it isn’t really SunaAtsu best friend agenda, I can delude myself into think it is okay :/) are done so well and so nice he’s mean Osamu is best Osamu.
***what are you waiting for? by Slumber (T) 3.7k // MIGHT BE MY FAV FIC FROM THIS EXCHANGE!!! It made me cackle and I love how they learn new things about each other!!!! Like the development is so good and Suna is really doing the MOST!! Also, I love recursive endings AHHHHHH!
agape by sketchedsmiles (T) 11.7k // soulmates, then they were SOULMATES! (ik that’s not how it goes but pls just humor me LOL) This fic really depicted Osamu’s insecurities/internal turmoil/overthinking really well and the realization he has vs Suna’s AHJAFKASFJ. I love confident Suna.
fireside by tartaglia (starkartifices) (T) 3.6k // we do love the subtle flirt flirt don’t we hehe ;) It’s short, it’s fluff, and it’s funny - what more could you ask for? Also whats a vigilante fic if there isn’t at least one pun about being a vigilante LOL.
Over and Over Again by tookumade (G) 6.4k // I would like to order one reassuring, reliable Miya Osamu for myself please and thank you :((( The way the relationship is so GOOD like both Suna and Osamu pick each other up and they know the other has their back ajfhkajdfl. I would purchase all the onigiri with the deal Suna was proposing ;) Onigirintarou.
from here to eternity by TheGlovedArtist (T) 6.6k // I for one am a big fan of mythology and stuff (heroes of olympus but like IDR any of the plot LOL) so of course I read this fic. The snark appearances of Sakusa and Komori gave me LIFE and the difference in descriptions from Astumu and Kita cracked me up. This is another respectful Osamu fic (yes I love these) and in this one it was a ‘I save you as much as you save me’ type beat LOL. Gotta love rings.
***Subtle Inarizaki Dating by sifuhotman (T) 15.2k // THIS ONE. Even if you don’t read the whole thing, I beg of you, please, I AM ON MY KNEES, read the SID for Astumu. It is worth the loss of all your brain calls I guarantee it. It made me giggle so freakin much. Suna might be an A-Hole but he’s OUR A-Hole <3
Forever Begins with 8 Seconds by subtlehues (T) 3.9k // FLUFF hehe, I love their dynamic in this one it’s very good and cute and everything great! Also, I am all for the head cannon that Suna cannot cook, yes pls. Also SUPERPOWERS whooooooooh.
***try again, and again, and again by rosegoldwriting (T) 2.6k // SOULMATES! If you ever wanted a specific soulmate AU! for SunaOsa look no further, it probably comes out LOL. I love this concept of them just being like ‘WTF’ everyday, it gives me life. Also, count how many soulmate AU’s you recognized because I just thought about it and I think it’d be fun LOL. (I went back and I think 11 but I’m not sure LOL)
let us burn by SilverMoonT (G) 13.5k // I am always up for a nice vampire Osamu and witch Suna (which believe it or not, is my second one because I read the other one by this writer LOL) This one is more Suna POV and it really goes into his fears and desires, and I like the way Osamu pushes him to live more freely.
***reasons to microwave an elixir by spiritscript (T) 8.2k // THIS ONE. UGH I love, and it’s funny and cute and it EVEN HAS CRIME (kinda not really but yes)! I love the quiet moments they have and the PET AHHHHHHH! We love medic Osamu :DDDDD But also the betrayal and the sparring (and the irony at the end LOL) AJSKJNFK.
we fall between by stringendos (T) 14.7k // honestly the entire time I was just screaming at my computer, begging for them to hurry up and realize, but alas this is a ~slow burn~ for a reason and the tag ‘exes who act like theyre married’ really is the reason I read it and I do not regret LOL. Also bless Matsuda and stan her.
All the Time in the World by minie_ai (M) 8.8k // we love immortality! Denial! And Suna mentally filing away blackmail against people (namely Astumu) LOL. Running away from your problems is always the answer (I am saying this is a not sarcastic manner because I too, run away from my problems LOL) but ramen is ALWAYS a good answer. We love ourselves some emotional constipation LOL.
***none but you by broikawa (T) 7.2k // everything is a competition always LOL, not that I’m complainin but still LOL EVERYTHING. I really love this one because I love the progression and cock-block SakuAtsu hehe. I love them being synchronized idiots <3
it all comes back to you, (my home) by iritaescents (T) 4.5k // FOREVER, WE STAN FOREVER. Anyway, LOL this was is very very cute and fluff and not slow burn, it fast burn LOL. It’s a cute fic to read and it even has our favorite, now say it with me SOULMATES LOL.
Can't help falling in bed with you by tirralirra (T) 6.7k // here we see a 5 + 1 with points for the title (I think it’s very funny LOL my humor is bad ;)) Not that it really needs extra points because it’s a great fic in itself LOL but I really liked the title so I felt the need to share this with you all (OOPS). This was so cute, and the + 1 is HILARIOUS.
It’s no longer up :(((((( -> love's consequences by xginpuff (T) 6.5k // WARNINGS AND TAGS been a while since we had an angsty fic in this list (LOL the way I just tried to avoid all of them hehe). I read the tags but ngl I was still surprised later LOL maybe I’m just dumb, but anyway IK it starts out a bit confusing, but after you read more, you’ll get into it!
***sunagashi by bastigod (T) 9.8k // if there’s anything I like more than mythology, it’s folklore LOL. I love this fic and the plot is written so artfully AHDSAJN. Also the scene with the Ume-chan and her comment (so snarky I love). Also they way I went through so much trouble trying to figure out the kanji LOL (SPOILER it’s miyarin hehe)
catch me (while i'm still runnin') by lunarins (T) 4.3k // first and foremost, may we have a moment of silence for Komori and his eyebrows..... Continuing, this fic was so good because I love a good heist hehe. Their slight of hand abilities really doing the most LOL, and the ending OMG. I love the way the writer added in how they appeared to others during the heist, it really made it so good! Ugh to have a painting class and almost die LOL.
***if we get this right by Slumber (G) 5k // OLD FRIEND plsplspls I love this fic and I love how Osamu slowly relearns who he knew Suna as AHHH. The ending, again UGH, I really loved it and their banter with one another.
The Study of Suna Rintarou by DeathBelle (T) 6.1k // PLEASE the way Osamu kept getting offended omg. But also the effort Suna puts into getting to know Osamu, I was in ~love~. Read to me Osamu, READ TO ME. But also the Osamu is an oblivious MF agenda is alive and well within this fic hehe.
Take a Hint by pancake_surprise (G) 2.3k // ok so I had just read a tumbr post about the one bed thing and then I saw this fic. It was like the stars aligned okay? I was like, ig I HAVE to read it now hehe. But seriously read it, it’s cute and like everything else, of course there’s a challenge to be made LOL.
Heatwave by pancake_surprise (G) 2.1k // the way they were dating without knowing they were dating man. The tag ‘Didn't Know They Were Dating‘ more accurate than the ‘first dates’ one LOL jk but actually tho am I kidding? It’s the first official one IG. LOL anyway, we do love the doin of the defining of relationships. Yup.
If you made it all the way down here, CONGRATS LOL. Like I said, I didn’t read all of them (sadly) and these were the ones i did read LOL. I might add more depending on whether I can motivate myself into reading fics I know will be good LOL so we’ll see heh. Honestly, I thought I was gonna get word counted, but YAY we finished (for now hehe). Also sorry for any possible typos (is this no beta we die like men?) I’m running on 90 min of sleep so my engrish be strugglin LOL. Be safe and wear masks :)

Pastries (SakuAtsu)
Atsumu's a lonely baker who spends most of his time baking. It was his way of coping for when his parents had passed from old age and his brother, Osamu, had gotten married and started a family. He used to be surrounded by so many people he loved, but as time passes and they grew older, their time for each other became limited, leaving Atsumu feeling a little lonely. So, he builds his own bakery to keep him busy and fill his loneliness by interacting with his customers.
Atsumu had fun talking to various people. He's met students who buy his sweets as their reward for themselves for their hard work at school. He's met children who loved his cookies because they looked adorable. He's met lonely adults like him who think that life is boring and is a constant misery. He's met people who were enjoying life. He's met people who are in love and are content with their lives. But the most memorable one was the man with black curly hair and dark emerald eyes.
He was a man who looked like he who saw the world in monochrome. One where he just goes with the flow of life. Even his voice was monotonous when Atsumu strikes a conversation.
"You don't seem like someone who would enjoy cookies shaped like characters," Atsumu comments as he puts the cookies in a box.
"Well, they're not for me. They're for my daughter," The man answers, making Atsumu go, "oh,"
"Yeah, so how much?" The man asks as he pulls his wallet out of his pocket.
"That'll be 4867.52 yen," Atsumu answers and hands the man the box of cookies.
The man pays for it, and just as he turns around to leave, his phone starts to ring, and the man's face immediately lights up at the sight of the name flashing on the screen.
Atsumu wanted to ask if it was his daughter, but he didn't want to be intrusive, so he presses his lips together and remains quiet.
The man answers the call, and Atsumu could hear his daughter's voice, excitedly screaming, "did you buy them?! Did you buy it?! Please tell me you bought them! Please! Please! Please!"
The man chuckles as he pulls on the door, "Yeah, I have it, don't worry,"
Atsumu watched as the man walk away. He places his hands on the counter and softly smiles all to himself, "I wonder what it's like to have someone who looks forward to seeing you come home?"
The loneliness Atsumu had been feeling comes back after that little encounter, but it became stronger when he got home. He immediately dialed Osamu's number, hoping that maybe he's free, but he ends up sighing when he was directly sent to voicemail.
Atsumu doesn't leave a message and just ends the call before going to bed.
The next day comes, and the curly-haired man he met yesterday comes to buy a different set of pastries from him.
"So, did your daughter like it?" Atsumu asks as he packages the cupcakes the man just bought.
"She loved it," The man answers shortly, but unlike before, now he has this small little smile on his lips as he answers.
Atsumu hums in delight and gives the man the cookies, "I'm glad to hear that,"
A month passes with the man buying different types of pastries from him. They'd have small conversations from time to time, and as the days turn to months, they slowly started talking about more personal stuff.
Atsumu finally learned what the man's name was after three months of constantly talking to each other. His name's Sakusa Kiyoomi, a dashing name just like the person itself, but aside from Kiyoomi, he also learned his daughter's name, Sakusa Sayomi.
"Sayomi said she wanted to meet you," Kiyoomi says as he watches Atsumu put the cake in a velvet box.
"Oh, is that so?" Atsumu asks and puts a ribbon on the box.
"Yeah, if that's alright with you," Kiyoomi says as he takes the box and takes out his wallet to pay for the cake, "it's fine if you're not okay with it,"
"Are you kidding me? I'd love to meet her! I'm actually amazed that it took you three months to bring her here because you talk about her a lot," Atsumu says with a chuckle.
Kiyoomi puffs his cheeks and looks at his feet in embarrassment.
Adorable. Atsumu thinks.
"Do I really talk that much?" Kiyoomi asks, his cheeks flushed red and his fingers pulling on his slacks.
"Yeah," Atsumu answers, "so, when can I meet her?"
"What about tomorrow? Is that a good time?" Kiyoomi asks.
"Yeah, I'm cool with that,"
And with that, they finally bid their goodbyes.
The next day arrives, and Kiyoomi enters the bakery with an eight-year-old child holding his hand. She had this huge smile on her face as she enters, and her eyes immediately brightened up when she saw the pastries.
"Daddy! Look at the Kirara-designed cake!" Sayomi beams and pulls Kiyoomi to the cakes.
Atsumu chuckles as he watches Sayomi pull Kiyoomi around. She was like a bouncing ray of sunshine, and Atsumu couldn't help but wonder what it'll be like if he had a daughter.
Kiyoomi and Sayomi roamed the bakery jumping from one pastry to another until Kiyoomi finally pulls Sayomi to Atsumu, "Sayomi, this is Atsumu, the man who makes all the pastries you eat every day,"
Sayomi's eyes shine, and she lets go of Kiyoomi to run to Atsumu and hold his hands, "this hands,"
"What about them?" Atsumu asks and crouches down to be on the same level as her.
"I'm thankful for them because they make me my favorite treats," She answers and smiles at Atsumu.
"What about me? You're not thankful for me?" Atsumu asks and points at himself with a pout.
Sayomi chuckles and pulls Atsumu into a hug which surprises him, "of course, I'm most thankful for you because you make my treats and make daddy happy,"
Atsumu didn't expect what he heard, and so did Kiyoomi because when Atsumu raises his head to look at Kiyoomi, his eyes were wide, and his cheeks were flushed.
"How do I make your daddy happy?" Atsumu asks without breaking eye contact with Kiyoomi.
"By talking to him, silly. You see, daddy had been very sad lately, but ever since he started buying treats from you, he comes home happier," Sayomi says and pulls away, "that's why I wanted to meet you, Atsumu-san,"
Atsumu doesn't know how to respond properly, so he ruffles her hair and says, "I'm glad I can make your daddy happy,"
The rest of the day proceeds, with Atsumu, Kiyoomi, and Sayomi sharing a meal they prepared in the kitchen. It was already late when they finished talking, and Atsumu didn't want them to leave eating nothing but pastries, so he offers to cook them. But he didn't expect them to help.
The kitchen was too small for all three of them, but it was fun nonetheless. Atsumu found out that Kiyoomi cooks for them, but his knowledge in cookies was limited to a few kinds of pasta, ramen, and a few dishes. So, Atsumu decided to cook something Kiyoomi didn't know how to prepare so he and Sayomi could learn.
That night Sayomi and Kiyoomi leave with some leftovers from their dinner.
"Thanks for the meal, Atsumu," Kiyoomi says shyly while Sayomi waits in the car.
"it's nothing. I had fun," Atsumu says.
The atmosphere around them turned a bit awkward after what Sayomi said about Atsumu making Kiyoomi happy. But the awkward silence didn't last when Kiyoomi said, "Why don't we go out next time? All three of us,"
"Are you asking me out on a date?" Atsumu asks, and Kiyoomi nods, "my invitation sucks, but I'm hoping you'd say yes,"
Atsumu laughs and takes a step towards Kiyoomi, "I'd love that," he whispers and kisses Kiyoomi's cheek.
Atsumu steps away and sees Kiyoomi staring at the ground with his cheeks flushed, "oh, Omi-kun, that was just a kiss on the cheek,"
"Shut up!" Kiyoomi says and turns away, "anyway, I'll come by tomorrow to pick you up,"
"Sounds good to me. See you tomorrow, Omi-kun," Atsumu says with a smile.
"See you tomorrow, Atsumu,"
The next day arrives, and Kiyoomi does pick Atsumu up with Sayomi. The date was fun, and it made Atsumu feel like they were a family. That one date alone was enough to make Atsumu feel happy and less lonely. But that loneliness stopped coming when Kiyoomi constantly asked him out on dates.
Every month, Kiyoomi would ask Atsumu out on a date. Sometimes, they'd bring Sayomi with them. Sometimes, it'll just be them. The dates were fun, and it made Atsumu feel happy and full. Kiyoomi and Sayomi shooed away the loneliness Atsumu had been feeling ever since his adulthood.
But sometimes, Atsumu would wonder how long it'll last.
The day came when Kiyoomi stopped visiting the bakery. Atsumu thought maybe Kiyoomi was just busy. But the text messages became lesser with each passing day until all Atsumu receives are good mornings and goodnights. It scared Atsumu that maybe Kiyoomi was over it. That Atsumu didn't make Kiyoomi happy anymore.
But after three weeks of Kiyoomi being cold, he asks Atsumu to meet him at their favorite restaurant. This made Atsumu think, "ah, he's finally breaking up with me," and despite the pain in his chest, Atsumu goes to visit him.
Atsumu arrives, thinking this would be the last time he'd ever meet Kiyoomi and Sayomi again. So, he was surprised when the lights opened, and all he saw were Kiyoomi and Sayomi standing in the middle.
"Kiyoomi, what's happening?" Atsumu asks, but Kiyoomi didn't answer. Instead, their families came out, each holding a letter to form the sentence, "will you marry me, Atsumu?"
Atsumu was stunned, and he didn't know what to do. He ended up staring at the words in front of him until Kiyoomi walks up to him and takes his hand before kneeling down.
"Everything might seem too fast to you. We've only been dating for a year, and yet here I am on my knees, asking you to marry me," Kiyoomi starts and kisses Atsumu's hand with quivering lips, "but you make me and Sayomi so happy that I think this is the only way for all three of us to be happy together for the rest of our lives,"
Atsumu's tears start to fall as he waits for Kiyoomi to continue.
"It's so bold of me to assume that we give you the same happiness you give us, but you just seem to smile brighter when you're with us. So, I'm taking this risk and asking you to marry me, Atsumu," Kiyoomi ends and raises his head to look at Atsumu.
"You idiot, who acts so cold to their significant other when they're about to propose, huh?" Atsumu asks and jokingly kicks Kiyoomi's knee, "you suck at this. You should've been sweeter, not cold,"
Kiyoomi chuckles, "I'm sorry,"
"I would've said yes if you weren't so cold, you know," Atsumu says, making Kiyoomi panic.
"So, are you saying no?" Kiyoomi asks and gulps.
"I'm thinking about it," Atsumu jokes.
But Sayomi seemed to have taken it seriously because she runs to Atsumu, clings on his pants, and says, "please, don't say no, Atsumu. I really want you to be my papa,"
Sayomi had tears in her eyes as she said it and made Atsumu's heart clench.
"I was just joking, Sayomi. I'd love to be part of your family. It's just that you're dad is terrible at this," Atsumu says after kneeling down and hugging Sayomi.
Atsumu can hear the sigh of relief Kiyoomi had put out and laughs before turning to Kiyoomi, "you're lucky Sayomi's here to make up for your coldness,"
Kiyoomi rolls his eyes at Atsumu's words, "right like you didn't want to marry me in the first place,"
"Why are you suddenly so cocky?" Atsumu asks in disbelief, "it's because you already said yes,"
Kiyoomi smirks at him and takes his right hand to put the ring on his finger and placing a kiss on it, "thank you for saying yes, Atsumu,"
Atsumu smiles, "No, I'm glad you asked me to marry,"
And ever since then, Atsumu didn't have to wonder what it'll be like to have someone waiting for you at home because now he comes home to his husband and their daughter.

|| fics recommendations #1 ||
> Iwaoi fic recs (Iwaizumi Hajime x Oikawa Torū)
————
> A Sharp Left Turn lA03|One shotllce skating AU
Description;
“He couldn’t scare me if he tried.” Tooru snapped, “I don't fear anyone I could outskate or outsmart and I can do both with him.” He’s finally coming back at Hajime, something he’s been able to avoid doing for a while, but the teasing is becoming too regular. “You’re bad at flirting and you’re bad at quick left turns on the ice. Let me know if you need me to teach you how to do either one because I’m getting secondhand embarrassment from watching both.”
~ Absolutely loved the fic! Even if it's a one shot it was the perfect length and I have zero complaints. 10/10 🥰
—————
> Coffee King |A03lchapers; 33|coffee shop AU
Description;
“I’m in love,” Oikawa declared, succumbing to the warm embrace of his arms once more, burying his head deep within the confines.
“You’re dating someone? Oh shit, I didn’t know that,” Kuroo whistled.
“I wish,” Oikawa responded with a sigh, memory flashing back to the handsome stranger and his green eyes, warm complexion, and those arms-
“Oh, so it’s that kind of love. Alright, hit me. What’s his name?” Oikawa’s face twisted down in an offended glare. “You don’t know his name?” Kuroo asked carefully, lips teetering on the edge of a smile.
“Not yet, but I will. Mark my words, the next time he comes in here I’m going to get his name and his number,” Oikawa announced firmly.
~ My ultimate favourite no doubt about that, Kurō and Bokuto as Oikawa's best friends is a whole disaster. But anyway this made me want to marry Iwa's mum but we're here for Iwaoi not x reader..🤣
—————
> Six Sessions |AO3|chapters; 13|collage AU
Description;
Iwaizumi is supposed to be doing six weeks of anger management.
And Oikawa is supposed to be interning with a renowned psychologist.
But somehow these two end up in couple’s therapy together.
How long will it take their therapist to figure out that they don’t actually know each other?
~ Now, I know how the tags look like, but believe me when I tell you it’s nothing bad! A small angst here and there but nothing terrible. But if you are triggered by cheating or coldness towards partners don’t read this! I’m too sensitive for angst so you can believe me on this one. ☺️
——————
> new phone who dis |AO3|chapters; 25|texting/collage AU
Description;
Oikawa texts the wrong number when complaining about Ushijima, and then keeps texting Iwaizumi.
~ A texting AU that I fell in love with. But don’t worry, those who don’t like texting AU’s there is more to this than just texts so try and read it, maybe you’ll like it!
——————
> Punches |AO3|one shot|Spy AU
Description;
The IwaOi Spy AU that nobody really asked for:
Oikawa is a badass drama queen and Iwaizumi just wants to go home.
OR
protective Iwaizumi gets really fucking mean if you hurt his boyfriend
~ Don’t sweat about the ‘minor character death’ please! It’s a bad guy dying not the other way around!!! The description describes is perfectly I can’t even say anything to that. 🤣
——————
> That’s all for today, let me know if anything goes wrong with the links, I’ll fix it as soon as I can! Next up will be SakuAtsu so watch out tomorrow. ❤️
