Sorry but I have returned with a part 3 of Klarion is Dan
So Danny is still having you know conversations with the entire RedRobin Young Justice team
When Tim sneaks away to go talk to the Justice League outside he's holding a few kryptonite cookies in his pockets then starts explaining to the Main Justice League on how yeah Klarion bought our trust with gifts so we can pretend to be his friend so he could make his mom happy Klarion's Mom he's is the nice creepy person I have ever meet so can y'all just got to play along
Clues the main Justice League playing along with Klarion being their sidekicks friend after a while Danny finds a way to pull up his scrapbook too also Danny and Clark have started speaking country to each other it's hilarious amazing
Batman in the end like a party pooper reveal that is Klarion is one of the enemy of the Young Justice it makes Young Justice along with Klarion sad for two different reasons for the Young Justice because Klarion's mom is really cool and Klarion cuz he feels like he is disappointing his mom
Danny after a while had a feeling that Klarion made friends like himself back when he was a teenager
A bit late but I finally had the time to write this down, without work stress or a migraine / headache torturing my brain! Hope i didn't make you wait to long! Either way I love this, sooo lets go! Part 3! Here we come!
Also thanks so much for the ask! This was inspiring since I have been struggling with writing the past weeks.
---------------
Danny was really enjoying his time an conversations with the children. He liked them, even if one of them was a speedster. And he could see that they were good for Dan, now Klarion. Danny had always been worried about his time clone / son. Klarion had no longer been as connected to Sam and Tucker as Danny was. Sure Jazz, Ellie and him, as well as Vlad had been there for him. But Danny knew himself and through that he also knew Dan in a way only Vlad could understand. They had been worried. But when Dan got deaged and choose to go by Klarion Danny's worries had become lighter. Especially when Klarion started to tell stories from the Dimension he had chosen to live in when he wasn't at home. One that was unlike their own home dimension but still similar enough so he wouldn't have troubles adjusting.
Danny smiled like any proud mother would as he watched the four heroes interact with his son. He could see it, Klarion had recreated friendships for himself outside of who he used to be in a different timeline. That alone lifted so many of Danny's worries for the boy. A chuckle escaped him as he once again watched Klarion snatch a green glowing cookie from Red Robin, glaring daggers before he jumped across the table in an attempt to tackle Impulse who was now also reaching for the green cookies. The speedster as expected easily dodged him.
He knew something was going on. Klarion has created a barrier right as Impulse had returned earlier from his 'bathroom break' and he could feel presence outside of his son's front door. One of them feeling funnily similar to one of many the soul contracts that had been laying on his desk for months now, ignored on purpose. But Danny choose to ignore it for the moment. If the kids were up to something than he was the least adult to stop them. So instead he when he saw his boy so distracted, Danny smiled towards Wonder Girl, reaching into a quickly opened portal next to him. "So about the picture you wanted to see earlier."
Danny smiled mischievously like any parent would at a chance to embarrass their child. But also noticing how Red Robin used the chance of Klarion chasing after Impulse and the Kryptonite Cookies in his hands to stuff a couple of the green cookies into his own pockets as well as one into his mouth. Danny suppressed a laugh, as he kept conversation with Wonder Girl flowing.
Superboy was right by Red Robins side as the boy pounded his fist against his own chest in surprise, but also refused to spit the cookie out. Once he swallowed the kid stuck out his tongue a look of wonder. "Have you ever tasted something that felt like sugar coated in love and care sprinkled with calming emotions but had a weird but not bad after taste of sewer water?! I will never be able to look at the Lazarus Pits the same anymore!" the caped teenage hero whined towards his Kryptonian friend and Danny couldn't help it any longer as he burst out laughing.
"That's a Description I have never heard before! Sam likes to say their taste like actual Rainbow puke and Tucker is still trying to convince me that they taste like he was dared to lick a motherboard but one was coated in the finest meats!" Klarion instantly froze in his chase after Impulse and pointed glaring at Red Robin as both Wonder Girl and Impulse now appeared very tempted to actually try the Kryptonite cookies too. "You didn't!"
"I did." Red Robin grinned fearless, the way Tucker used to when he had hacked into the GIWs servers when they were kids.
"DO YOU HAVE A DEATH WISH?!" Red Robin yelped as Klarion jumped at him over the couch table to wrestle with the other boy as if to make him spit out any green glowing cookie reminds that could be there. "You mortals are idiots!"
Danny blinked and laughed as a little Chaos (Ha! His sons favorite past time) broke out with Wonder Girl, Superboy and Impulse trying to help Red Robin against Klarion only for them to get pulled into the little wrestling match too. With Klarion occupied with the other three as well as trying to stop Impulse from also shoving a green glowing cookie into his mouth he noticed from the corner of his eyes how Red Robin snuck away.
Batman looked ready to strangle John Constantine as he glared at the Justice League Dark member currently working on removing the barrier. This was taking to long in his opinion. Their kids were in there with a highly dangerous being and one of their enemies. This wasn't a situation to take lightly. He growled and Superman patted his shoulder trying to calm him down.
"We will get in there Batman. Just calm down for now. I am sure they are doing all they can to remove the barrier." The Kryptonian said in a calming tone sharing a look with Wonder Woman and the Flash, who by now had rounded the apartment three times to see if there was a possible entry way not covered by a barrier. Batman only grunted again as the door to the appartement suddenly opened, their heads snapped instantly towards it to see Red Robin standing behind the barrier.
"Red Robin Report!" Batman instantly snapped marching forward but frowned as the barrier was blocking him from reaching the teen.
"Klarion's mother is a multidimensional being under the impression that Klarion is working with the Heroes in this impression and not against them. He is also known as the Ghost King ruler of the Infinite Reams. I am sure you are already updated on what the Infinite Realms are." The teen stated in a reporting tone the adult heroes were familiar with. "So far The Ghost King has not shown any hostility towards us or our dimension unprompted. He is rather nice and a good parent by all means. To not disappoint his mother Klarion abducted us so we could pretend to be his friends, in other words Klarion is in need of our help to keep his mother under the belief that he is working and friends with us."
Batman nodded, letting the information sink in. "Anything else?"
"Well, I would suggest to not become hostile ourselves and to play along for the time being." Red Robin offered his solution hoping that with his report their mentors were more willing to play along than with the way Impulse probably slammed the door in their faces. For one, they would get to have a longer time of a break and two, as long as they don't piss off Klarions mom they won't have to face an eldritch being probably ready to tear them appear to protect his child.
"You believe that to be the best course of action? What about the others?" Superman asked instead and the teens head turned a little to look at the Kryptonian. "We are all in agreement. We are also additionally in a position with this to fish for more information about Klarion."
He could see their mentors thinking as they were exchanging looks weighing the pros and cons of his suggestion.
"Constantine? You said that the Ghost King is a dangerous being that could destroy our dimension, correct?" Wonder Woman spoke up turning towards the magician.
"A Bloody fucking Tyrann that can rip us all a new one, mate." the Brite muttered annoyed with the situation.
"Then I guess keeping the Ghost King happy by humouring Klarion should be the best and most peaceful option we have at the moment." Flash added crossing his arms as he looked at the other JL members as they came to a silent agreement.
Hocked, Lined and Sinker. Red Robin thought for a brief moment with relief as the adults agreed to his suggestion. "That means no using spells behind our backs against the Ghost King too." The teen hero added though as he narrowed his eyes under his mask on John Constantine that was cursing under his breath but nodded.
"Great then I can tell Klarion-"
"Red Robin what are you doing out here?" Batman stiffened as white gloved hands rested on the teen hero's shoulders and they saw a white haired man, wearing a royal cape and a floating crown on his head, appearing by the door behind the teen.
"Oh I was just greeting our mentors, they came to check on us." Red Robin lied easily, not even flinching as the man had appeared out of seemingly nowhere. Batman had narrowed his eyes as he exchanged looks with Superman. They hadn't even noticed the man's approach.
"I see, please come in instead of standing out here." John Constantin gabbed as with the flick of his finger the man removed the magic barrier as if it was nothing and they heard a loud whine from inside the apartment of. "MOM IT FEELS WEIRD WHEN YOU DO THAT!"
"Sorry Klarion, baby!"
At that moment the adults realized that the man before them was the Ghost King.
The man lead them inside introducing himself as Danny as he guided Red Robin by his shoulders back to the couch to join the other teens again. The adult heroes where greeted by the image of Wonder Girl sitting on Impulse who was monopolising a photo book and Klarion being lifted into the air lion king style by Superboy flailing around. The teens and mentors blinked at each other several times before the teens continued like they weren't there, Red Robin joining them wanting in on getting to see the photo book that apparently contained 'baby' photos of Klarion.
"How about we leave the kids to themselves and have some coffee and cake by the dinner table?" The Ghost King, Danny, suggested and the adults mutely followed. They blinked as Danny opened a portal, Batman grunted as seeing similarities to something else in it, and reached into it. Danny heard his sisters distinctive "HEY!" Through it when he pulled out a cake from it to place on the table. The heroes couldn't help but sweat dropped, the cake was clearly not finished, it was only half way coated in cream and decorated.
"It's nice to meet the mentors of the friends my boy made in this dimension." Danny started to make small talk serving them coffee and each of them a slice of cake. "It's also nice to finally meet the guy that has sold his soul into so many pieces that I have an entire stack of paper work on my desk."
Constantine flinched, as he refused to make eye contact with the Ghost King who only chuckled. "Relax, I don't care about all these contracts. Most of them were even made before I took over as the King and the previous Ghost King... well lets just say he slept through all of his paperwork."
"Wait previous King?" The magician looked up now. "Mate are you telling me you aren't the bloody fucking Tyrann Ghost King?"
They watched as Danny rubbed his neck embarrassed. "Oh looks like the news didn't get to your Dimension yet, yea I dethroned that guy on accident and took over once I became an adult. Pops did say that it might take some time for all Dimensions to get updated on these kinda news..."
The four heroes looked stunned as they heard the Brite groan loudly thumping his head against the table muttering a "I need a whiskey."
"Oh its also nice to sort of meet my... Cousin or Niece from this Dimension whatever you would prefer more." Danny said to change the subject, looking towards Wonder Woman who blinked at him. "Cousin or Niece?"
"Yes I was Ghost Adopted by Clockwork, also known as Cronus, and Pandora. They speak a lot of praises about you, well every version of you." Danny smiled. There was an awkward moment of silence that Flash broke looking stunned at Wonder Woman. "You never told us you were related to the literal King of all Dimensions!"
"I didn't know!" / "Not all Dimensions."
Both Wonder Woman and Danny spoke at the same time. This finally seemed to break the eyes among the adults as most of them started to chat idly while the teens were fighting over a photo book in the back ground. Well all but one Batman sat among them listening to the other Heroes talk with the Ghost King, grunting every now and then to signal that he was listening. His eye twitch a little as both Superman and Danny suddenly started to talk in a weirdly with niceties filled way of talking.
Of course everything good and nice couldn't last forever and when a triumphant shout in the background from Red Robin resounded who was holding up the photo book with Klarion pinned to the ground by Impulse and Superboy, Batman had to be the one to finally put his foot in his mouth causing everyone to freeze. The bite of cake Superman was about to eat dropped back onto the plate and resounded like a pin needle dropping by the silence caused by one simple, in Batman's mind, question.
"As his mother, are you aware of your son's villainous actions against us heroes?"
A dramatic "No!" Resounded from the teens mostly caused by Impulse dramatically falling to his knees in a pleading motion towards the adults. Klarion on the other hand looked like his entire world was just shattered as he sat up on the ground from his previously pinned position, his eyes glued to his mother. Both Wonder Woman and Superman eyes looked to and fro between Batman and the Ghost King with worry while Flash, apparently decided to get himself another slice of cake as quick as possible before the Ghost King would inevitably kick them all out because of Batman.
Danny stared at the dark knight for a long moment not reacting until he let out a sigh. "Figured as much."
There was another kind of silence, a stunned one, as they all blinked at the Ghost King who was starting to chuckle a little at the faces they were making.
"Mom?"
"Oh please Klarion." Danny waved his son off. "We both know that neither you nor I ever made friends the normal way. Of course you would make friends by being a little shit, just like I did with all my rogues when I was a teen and are now part of the council. It was unavaidable for you to do the same. Ancients even Vlad made friends like this or did you forget how many times he tried to kill my dad, Jack?"
There was silence for a third time, this time it got broken my Wonder Girl bumping her shoulder into Klarions.
"What kind of crazy family do you have?!"
"You have no idea.... you haven't even met my older sister yet...."

Answer My Call Chapter 2 Part 2
Happy WIP Wednesday! So last week, we had a tie between Bring Me Home and Answer My Call. The tie breaker didn't come in until Monday after I'd already finished the entire Bring Me Home chapter and half the Answer My Call one.
So y'all will be getting two fic upates today then I'm going to sleep. I'm tired after a full day of work with a call out. XP
If you want a say in next week's update, vote in the poll!
Story Summary: Jazz, Sam, and Tucker manage to help Danny escape the GIW, but they can't follow him and are under too much surveillance to communicate with each other. Sam snuck Danny a phone as he ran and Jazz sends him a text every day, hoping to hear he is all right. But he's not the one getting the texts.
Jason was away for several months on a mission with the Outlaws. When he finally returns home, he is surprised to find dozens of messages from an unknown number begging a Danny to tell her he's okay. Looks like there's not going to be a break between missions this time around.
Chapter 1: AO3 (user locked), Tumblr
Chapter 2: Part 1
Word Count: 1.3k
-----
After the performances—an odd mix where the main band yielded the stage to a poet or an accordionist when they needed a break—Jazz and Todd continued to mingle.
Jazz waited until about fifteen minutes had passed before reaching into her bag to search for her phone. “Todd!” she cried.
“Jazz? What’s wrong?”
“I can’t find my phone! Shit, what time is it?”
Todd pulled out his. “Eleven fifty. Did you have it when we arrived?”
“I don’t know! I haven’t checked it. Where could it have gone?”
One of the other attendees broke into the conversation. “Lost your phone? What does it look like? We can help you look.” She was a woman in her forties or fifties. Next to her was another woman who nodded her agreement.
“Thank you, that’d be great.” It didn’t take much effort to bring tears to her eyes—all she had to do was remember that Danny was still missing. “It’s a Samsung in an unfortunately standard black case. The lock screen has picture of and my brother. My name’s Jazz, by the way. And this is Todd.”
“I’m Mel and this is my wife Jayden. I’m sure we’ll find your phone soon enough.” Then, in a voice loud enough to cut through the chatter, “Oi! Anyone see an unattended phone lying around? Jazz here misplaced hers?”
Even Mel, though, had to admit defeat after half an hour of searching through the entire apartment yielded nothing.
Jazz sat down on the floor and let herself cry. “And by now we’ve missed the last train. I’m sorry, Todd. What a disaster.”
“Hey, no. None of that, now. Tonight’s been a blast. This sucks for sure, but I can get us an uber or something—”
“How far are you kids going?” asked Jayden.
“Too far,” cried Jazz. “I live out of the city. Parked at Alewife and took the red line in.”
Jayden winced. “Well, we parked nearby. Is there somewhere close we can drive you?”
Jazz blinked up at them. “You’d do that?” She turned to Todd. “I just want to go to sleep. Is there a motel nearby we could stay at?”
Todd pulled out his phone and searched. “Looks like there’s a Holiday inn just down the street or a La Quinta that’s a little cheaper just a bit further out.” He smiled ruefully at the women who’d been helping them. “If you could get us to either place, we’d be more than grateful.”
One of the residents, an older man named Rob, took a seat next to them. “Hey, kiddo. What’s your email? We can contact you if anyone finds it.”
Jazz smiled at him gratefully and gave it. If it wasn’t so necessary, she’d feel bad for lying to and worrying all these people. But they were in so much danger. To the women, she said, “Would the La Quinta be too far out of the way? If I end up having to get a new phone, I’d like to save as much money as possible. Thank God I still have my wallet.”
“Sweetie, it’s totally fine,” assured Mel. “We’d take you all the way home if we didn’t live on the opposite side of the city.”
“Thank you, but that’s really okay. I just want to go to bed and worry about it tomorrow.”
“Come on, dear.” Mel reached out a hand to help Jazz up. “Let’s get you cleaned up then we’ll be on our way.”
Jazz thanked Rob for his help before Mel led her towards the bathroom with an arm around her shoulder.
Less than forty minutes later, Todd and Jazz were alone in a hotel room together. She pulled the blinds shut and finally let herself relax.
When she turned back to the room, Todd was looking at her with one eyebrow raised. “Want to explain to me what all of”—he threw out his hands—“that was about?”
Jazz glared back at him. “You didn’t tell me you died! Damn it, if I’d known in advance—!” she cut herself off and took a deep breath. “Never mind. What’s done is done.”
Todd was deadly still. “How do you know that?”
Jazz threw her hands in the air. “It’s obvious to anyone who knows how to tell. Including the Guys in White who I told you are dangerous to ghosts and liminals! I had plans for what I’d say when they found us, but those won’t work if you’re dead!”
“Wait.” Todd held up his hands. “You’re saying I can be persecuted under those Anti-Ecto acts?”
“Yes! You’re more ghostly than me, and I am watched every minute of every day.”
Todd narrowed his eyes and stared at her for a moment before asking, “Have you heard of Lazarus Water or had any dealings with the League of Assassins?”
“No! I have no idea what you’re talking about. Quit changing the subject. My brother is the only thing that matters and you and Red Robin promised to help me find him.”
“That’s what I’m trying to do!” Jason’s eyes flashed green, and Jazz glared right back at him. “The League of Assassins are the ones who brought me back to life with Lazarus Water. I need to know if you and your brother are mixed up with them because that would change our approach. If it’s a rogue government agency, that’s one thing. If it’s also the league, we’ve got a whole set of other problems.”
Jazz sat down heavily on one of the bed. “Oh. Sorry, I didn’t— It’s been a long few months. After a long few years.”
Todd sat down across from her and nodded for her to continue. “Tell me what happened.”
“It started three years ago. My parents, they’re ghost hunters. Been building weapons to detect and hunt ghosts since before I was born. But three years ago is when they finally finished their life’s work: the ghost portal. Only it didn’t work at first. Then my brother Danny and his friends decided to be stupid. They went to check it out. I wasn’t there and the three of them don’t talk about it, but something happened down there that day.
“My brother died and the portal was working. Only, he didn’t die all the way. He became half-ghost, half-human. And that would have been bad enough, but with the portal open, ghosts came through from the Infinite Realms, sometimes called the Ghost Zone by humans. Some were benign, but many of them came to cause problems or hurt people. Danny stopped them.”
Todd held up a hand to stop her. “Your brother became a supehero? How didn’t the Justice League hear about this? How old was he?”
Jazz shrugged. “I don’t know about the Justice League. It could be that no one ever contacted them. It could be they didn’t believe us. And it could be that no one cared. Danny felt responsible though, since it was his fault the portal turned on. And he was the only one with the ability to stop the ghosts, so…” She held up her hands in a what-can-you-do gesture.
Todd closed his eyes and let out a careful breath. “I can guarantee you the JL didn’t know about your town. A fourteen-year-old would never have been left alone to monitor an interdimensional portal if we had.”
Jazz had no idea what she thought of that. Danny had done it all alone. So finding out he could have had help? She shook her head. What-ifs were a waste of time. “Well, he did. But the government didn’t like that a ghost was the main defense against ghosts. So the Ghost Investigation Ward, more commonly called the Guys in White or GIW was formed. At first, they were as incompetent as any other ghost hunter. But they didn’t stay that way.”
“What happened to your brother, Jazz?” asked Todd.

Sorry to end it there. But it's the right length and I need to go to bed. XP
Hope you enjoy!
I no longer do tag lists, but please check out the Subscription Post if you want notifications when I update.
Not much to say about this one. When I went to the event at this location, my friend and I very nearly missed the last train. It was pulling into the station as we entered. If we'd been 2 or 3 minutes later, we would've been stranded so far from my car, I don't even want to know what that uber or cab would've cost.
Luckily Jazz and Jason had a few good Samaritans nearby.
Next up: We learn more about what happened to Danny!

It's so hard being a Danny phantom fan that like actually enjoys Danny phantom and likes the characters for what they are. it's just knowing chewing on just about everything while going hewouldnotsaythathewouldnotsaythathewouldnotsaythat he would not fucking say that. No hate to whatever your making but so many things baked into common fanon is so ooc. Ghost king Danny. Ok sure I can get behind him holding the title. (Depending on the gk lore) But he has to be screaming kicking fighting the whole way. He'd fucking hate that shit. And like protection obsession. Danny ain't DNA bound to be a hero or whatever. He REGULARLY tries to quit later down the story. He just feels obligated to help because he can. It's why in the final episode he tries to get rid of his powers. If he isn't a half ghost he isn't obligated to help anymore. He's got this whole Spider-Man "great power great responsibility" thing going on.
And Sam. Lots of people like to write Sam as if she's some perfect activist when a lot of the things she does are pretty performative. She's got patented 2000s "not like other girls better than you" misogyny going on. She's VERY judgmental. She's vegan, and the annoying kind. Don't get me wrong she THINKS she's helping and in the right but by collage she's gonna look back at herself and cringe hard. People also tend to write out her jealousy.
And look I know a lot of people change so much about her because she's written like that because of misogyny but she's not that unrealistic of a character. She feels like an alt teen girl from that era. A lot of them were like that. Sure it's because THEY had a bunch of internalized misogyny but that doesn't change the fact it's how it was.
Jazz is another character that gets pretty flanderized. She's only two years older than Danny for a start. She didn't "raise" him while their parents were too busy doing other nonsense. She is a sixteen y/o book worm know it all that's acting like she's an adult. She thinks she's the smartest in the room, and tbf around other kids she tends to at least be the book smartest in the room. But she is just a kid. A kid who thinks bad boys are hot, brains are fascinating, and that she knows what's best for everyone. Her parents never put it on her to raise Danny. She put that on herself. She sees looking out for him as one of her responsibilities.
People only really only tend to write out Tucker being a creep. You know what? I can kind of get behind that. It's really one of the most uncomfortable gags in the show.
Idk it's just weird. Do y'all just not like dp? Do you only like the idea of it? I adore these characters. Their flaws to me make them do much more interesting.

Phantoms & Demigods
Tumblr media
2438 fucking words this is the longest thing I've written for this blog are you kIDDING ME ???
also have a drawing of Danny dat I did in spirit of this imagine because I ain't shit.
ask : Can you do a Nico di Angelo/Danny Phantom head cannon thing? Like how'd they interact, Danny meeting everyone and him annoying Nico type thing?
fUCK YEAH I CAN DO A DANNY PHANTOM X HEROES OF OLYMPUS ONE SHOT R U FUKIN KIddING ME ???
(tbh when I saw this in the inbox shit had me shook I had to answer it as fast as I could)
warning : lmao shit I guess swears ? y'all know how I am this isn't new.
"Danny, be careful. Be back soon, you don't know what's out there." Sam's voice flowed through the ear com. Shaking his head, Danny sat atop the Empire State Building, his legs swaying in the air.
"I'll be careful Sam. If only you were here, New York is gorgeous." Danny sighed, looking out at the skyline.
"There he goes, being all sappy and shit. You better bring me back one of those I heart NY shirts, or we're no longer friends." Tucker said seriously, and Danny laughed.
"Sam, want anything?" He asked, running a hand through his glowing white locks. Glowing green eyes looked down at the street below.
"You think you could bring me back a-"
"What, a thick, black choker with the words 'I hate everyone' on it?" Tucker interrupted, and the two friends bickered relentlessly.
"Bye guys!" Danny said, before turning off the ear com. He sat in a comfortable silence, finally able to relax by himself for the first time in forever. Unfortunately, that peace was taken as quickly as it showed up. Roars echoed throughout the streets of Manhattan, and Danny turned his head, squinting to see where the commotion was coming from.
If Amity Park had ghosts, what did Manhattan have? Danny didn't want to find out, but the screams of innocent people and his curiosity got the best of him. Flying towards the sound, he ended up hovering miles above a battle between eight teenagers and a giant. "WE JUST ALL HAD TO GO TO MC.DONALDS HUH?!" One shouted, fire escaping his hands. He nearly toppled over, as another girl caught him.
She spoke to him, before leading him away from the battle. Danny cocked his head, wondering how people around could react so calmly. Wanting to help, Danny blasted the giant with green blasts, turning all the attention towards him. "He's dead-" Danny heard one of the guys say, and watched in horror as the giant turned around and looked up at the ghost boy in pure anger.
"Oh, he's not a jolly green giant." Danny muttered helplessly, before becoming intangible and flying through the beast. Skidding to a stop beside a guy who reminded him slightly of Sam, Danny looked at them.
"You're dead. But, not dead- Who are you?" The boy asked, messy black hair falling into his eyes. Danny looked at the rest of the group, who were looking at him in confusion.
"Danny. Danny Phantom." He said quickly, before turning his attention to the giant, who seemed as though the curly haired boy and the brunette girl with the pretty eyes were interesting.
"PIPES LOOK OUT!" The tall blonde shouted, and Danny flew over, grasping both of them tight, and flying through the closest building with them in his arms. Slamming against the wall, Danny groaned, letting go of the two teens.
"Pipes, he's a fucking ghost. He's a fucking ghost with superpowers." The boy gestured wildly at Danny, before giving the ghost boy a lopsided smile. "Hi, I'm Leo, Leo Valdez. Son of Hephaestus, you know, the best god out there. This is Piper-" Danny blinked a few times, before shaking his head and holding his hands out.
"Hold on. Did you just say you're the son of a god?" Danny asked, and Leo gave him a look like he was an idiot. A blush of embarrassment spread across Danny's cheeks, and Piper grasped his shoulder.
"Don't worry, Leo's an asshole. Yeah, we're all the children of Greek gods and goddesses, demigods we're called. I'm the daughter of Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty." She smiled, warm enough to heat up the chill of the night.
"What the fuck.." Danny muttered, and Leo clapped his hand on Danny's shoulder.
"Don't worry amigo. It'll all make sense soon. For right now, we have to kill that giant thingy outside-" Piper cut Leo off.
"Yeah, and this idiot blew his fuse way too early." Piper smiled lovingly at Leo, and Leo flipped her off. Danny, confused, looked at the two demigods.
"How can I help?" Danny asked, and Piper furrowed her eyebrows, looking at Leo. Leo sucked on his teeth, before looking straight at Danny.
"Yeah, you might want to ask Annabeth how you can help. Good luck, she's fucking terrifying." Leo shuddered slightly, and Piper punched his arm.
"Who's Annabeth?" Danny asked, and Piper laughed slightly.
"She's the blonde with the curly hair. Percy's the one with the sea green eyes, Nico's the one with the black, messy hair and the skull shirt, Jason-"
"HER MANS!" Leo interrupted, and Danny couldn't help but laugh. "See, he gets it. I'm funny." Leo laughed, and they both exchanged a fist bump. Piper, slightly amused, described everyone else with the shake of her head.
"Alright. Stay safe-" Danny stopped. He wasn't talking to Sam and Tucker, he was talking to two different people. Realizing the mix up, Piper shot him a smile. "We will." She responded, and Danny let out a breath he didn't even know he was holding. Flying back out to the rest of the group, he felt uneasy. Both Annabeth and Nico gave him death glares, and Percy and Jason both looked like they wanted to kill something. Danny retreated to the two who looked the least fierce, Hazel and Frank.
"Hi-" Danny breathed, and Hazel shot him a quick smile, before stabbing at the giant's legs. Frank aimed his arrows at the giant's eyes, and an idea popped into Danny's head.
"Guys, I can take over the giants body, and then you could kill him easier." Danny spoke, and Percy perked up.
"You can?!" He asked happily, and Danny saw in his eye that he was tired of killing monsters. Danny knew the feeling, he was sick of getting rid of ghosts too.
"Even if you did it-" Nico spoke up, and Danny jumped slightly. "-you might die. You're still half alive, right? So doing that to help us would end up with you killed, if we kill the body you take over." Danny chewed on his bottom lip.
"I can't just let this town be destroyed." Danny muttered, and Hazel grasped his shoulder.
"Nico, he's willing to help, let him help. You could bring him back, right?" She asked her brother, and Nico scowled slightly.
"If it helps, I won't kill you that badly." Jason joked, and Danny shot him a weak smile.
"Thanks." He muttered, before flying into the giant. The next few minutes were a haze, as Danny blacked out for a while. Man, the shit he got himself into. He has an essay due tomorrow.
Waking up, Danny groaned, clutching the side of his head. Sitting up, he saw Leo, sitting criss-crossed at the end of the bed, fiddling with a sphere of some sort. "Leo-" The curly head Latino looked up, and shot Danny a smirk.
"Ah, the ghost boy's finally up. How do you feel?" Leo asked, setting the sphere aside, tucking the screws and bolts into one of the many pockets of his tool belt. Danny closed his eyes, wincing at the light slightly.
"Like shit. What time is it?" Danny asked, his now blue eyes flicking around the room that he was in.
"About ten thirty. In the morning. You passed out for a while." A blonde walked into the room, handing Danny a glass of water and two pain killers. "I'm Will, Camp Half Blood's resident healer." The blonde flashed Danny a smile, before stepping back.
"Jesus-" Danny cursed beneath his breath, getting up abruptly. A sharp pain shot through his head, and he fell forward slightly.
"Whoa there-" Will grasped Danny's arm, and Danny gritted his teeth. Looking up, Danny's gaze focused on the door.
"Guys, I have to get back home. My parents are going to flip." Danny muttered, but Will sat him back down on the bed.
"Relax. You'll get back. You're kinda messed up because of that battle." Will muttered, and Danny took the pills. Groaning, he laid back down again, black messy hair resting on the pillow once more.
"Yeah, Phantom, you're gonna have to stay here for at least a day." Leo spoke, and Danny shot up.
"A fucking day?!" He exclaimed, strands of black hair falling into his eyes. Leo laughed slightly, reaching out and resting a hand on his new friends shoulder.
"Don't worry, you can hang out in here, in Bunker Nine with me, or hang around camp with the others you met yesterday." Leo spoke, but he frowned slightly at Danny's distressed look.
"I had an essay due today. It was gonna bring my grade up, I-" Tugging at his roots, Danny slammed back down onto the bed, groaning into the pillow angrily. "Does anyone have a phone I could use?" He asked.
"Well, us demigods aren't allowed to have phones, because that attracts monsters, but go see Annabeth. I'm sure she has a phone." Will rubbed the distressed boy's shoulder slightly. "You'll be alright Danny." He sighed, and Danny swung his legs over the side of the bed, standing up abruptly.
"Thanks, you two." Danny shot them both a weak smile, before walking out the infirmary. To say he was overwhelmed next was an understatement. The camp was filled with people relatively wearing the same orange t-shirt, littered with the words 'Camp Half-Blood, Long Island Sound'. Danny felt wary, as various glares were sent his way. Walking with his head ducked and his arms tucked in his pockets, Danny frantically searched the crowds for Annabeth.
Finding Piper with Jason, Danny made a b-line for them, not realizing that people were chasing him with weapons as well. Hiding behind the couple, Jason frowned at the multiple swords pointed at him and Piper, that were meant for Danny.
"Guys, what the fuck." Jason sighed, and Piper pulled Danny beside the two, wrapping her arm around his shoulders.
"He isn't one of us, Grace. Can't you sense it? He's fucking dead-" A pang rang in Danny's chest, and he let his head drop. A familiar head of black, short wind-swept hair followed a head of blonde, curly hair.
"Shut the fuck up. All of you. Danny saved us from a giant attack, and yeah he might not be a demigod, but he's fucking better than half of you would ever be." Annabeth's deathly calm voice rang through the crowd, and the crowd dispersed in fear as quickly as it formed. Danny felt confused. He thought, for one, Annabeth didn't like him. Two, he's never been defended by anyone but Sam and Tucker before. And maybe Jazz, but those three never had the same effect Annabeth has.
Danny concluded that having Annabeth like him enough to defend him is a good thing. "You alright Fenton?" Percy asked, a worried look settling into his sea green eyes. Nodding, Danny looked up, fiddling with his fingers.
"Uh, Annabeth, can I use your phone to call my parents?" Danny asked, and Annabeth shot him a warm smile, handing over a silver flip phone.
"Make it quick Danny. I'm not trying to be busted by Chiron." Annabeth spoke, and Danny nodded, flipping the phone open. Dialing a familiar number, he held the phone to his ear.
"Hello?" His sister, Jazz's voice flowed through the phone. Danny breathed a sigh of relief.
"Jazz, it's me. Danny-" Danny was cut off quickly.
"DANNY WHAT THE FUCK WHERE ARE YOU WE'RE ALL WORRIED SICK!" Danny winced at the screams from the phone, before chuckling slightly.
"I'm alright, and safe. With a couple friends in New York. I'll be back by tomorrow, I promise." Danny muttered, and he heard Jazz sigh on the other end.
"Alright Danny. I passed in your essay for you today, by the way. Don't die, stay safe please. I love you." Jazz spoke softly, and Danny smiled.
"I love you too." Hanging up, he handed Annabeth her phone back. Danny glanced around camp, stomach grumbling in protest. Percy laughed slightly.
"Mess hall is that way. I'm pretty sure Nico's in there, you could sit with him." Percy pointed to a large building, and Danny nodded, thanking the four and walking towards the mess hall. Finding Nico easily, he grabbed an empty plate, and sat in front of the son of Hades.
"What's with the empty plates?" Danny asked, and Nico looked at Danny through his eyelashes.
"They're magic. Think of what you want to eat, and it'll pop up." Nico muttered lowly, and Danny frowned at the plate slightly. He didn't think it was possible, but then again, he was half ghost, and he's in a camp with people who are half god, so what exactly was possible? Sooner or later, a breakfast popped up in front of Danny, and he smiled slightly.
"You alright?" He asked Nico, taking a sip of his orange juice. Nico finally sat up, looking at Danny.
"Fine. Why?" Nico asked, arching an eyebrow at the ghost boy. His warm, dark brown eyes looked at Danny in slight confusion. Danny shrugged.
"Just wondering." He answered, and felt death radiate off of Nico. Looking down, he stabbed his fork into his scrambled eggs. "You get judged, don't you?" Danny finally looked up, watching the expression on Nico's face carefully. "The aura of death. Not feeling you belong? Fuck-" Danny sympathized heavily with Nico. Danny only felt it once, imagine staying here for years. "It must be hard on you. I'm sorry." Danny muttered.
"Don't-" Nico stopped, watching Danny's expression. "Sorry. I'm fine. It doesn't bother me much anymore." Nico mumbled, wondering why he was opening up slightly to someone he barely knew. They sat in an awkward silence for a while. "What you did yesterday, that was really brave." Nico finally spoke.
Danny flashed him a quick smile. "It was, wasn't it? I mean, I could've fully died, and I still did it." He spoke cockily, running a hand through his black locks. Nico snorted slightly in amusement.
"You wouldn't have came back if it wasn't for me." Nico shot Danny a sly smirk, and gladly watched the cockiness slip off the ghost boy's face. "They don't call me the Ghost King for nothing." Nico said, taking a bite of his plum.
"Ghost King. Touché." Danny and Nico exchanged a smile, and Danny already began planning on when he could come back to New York to see his new friends that make most of the people in Amity Park look boring.
Despite nearly dying for good, Danny was eager to come back to the demigods that made his crazy life a little more exciting.

Bring Me Home Arc 3 Part 1
Happy WIP Wednesday! So last week, we had a tie between Bring Me Home and Answer My Call. The tie breaker didn't come in until Monday after I'd already finished the entire Bring Me Home chapter and half the Answer My Call one.
So y'all will be getting two fic upates today then I'm going to sleep. I'm tired after a full day of work with a call out. XP
If you want a say in next week's update, vote in the poll!
Welcome to Arc 3 of Bring Me Home! 🎉🎉🎉
Story Summary: Danny's parents find out his secret. It doesn't go well. But he's not alone. His friend Tim Drake, better known as Red Robin, and the Young Justice will not let him suffer.
Word Count: 1.7k
Warnings: fanon-typical violence. This is my dissection fic, but I don't think I crossed the line into graphic. Let me know if you disagree.
Arc 1: AO3
Arc 2: First, Last
-----
Danny waved goodbye to Sam and Tucker as he made his way home from school. They had a long weekend and he planned to fall into bed and take a long nap. And then maybe grab some midnight tacos as Phantom for dinner.
He hummed as he thought about how awesome those tacos would taste when reached his home. Still lost in his daydreams, he unlocked the door and pushed it open.
Only for electric pain to shoot up his arm. Danny screamed, paralyzed to the spot. He tried to pull his hand back, but something held him in place. He fell to his knees, arm still held out and radiating pain through the rest of his body.
“What? Danny!”
“M-mom?” he forced out between cries. “Hurts!”
He could feel his transformation tugging on his core and he tried to force it back.
“Jack! Quick, it’s Danny!”
“Please,” begged Danny. Even kneeling was getting to be too much. Blackness was threatening the edges of his vision so he closed his eyes. He had to keep from transforming. He had to.
He didn’t even have the breath to scream anymore.
He heard his dad’s voice. There was a flash of light. And then nothing.
---
The first thing Danny was aware of was that everything hurt. His muscles were aching and his right arm was practically numb. The next thing he noticed was that he way lying on something hard. He tried to roll over, only to realize he was strapped down. And not just at his wrists and ankles, but also at his waist and neck.
His eyes flew open in shock and he yelled in panic. Had Vlad gotten him?
“It’s awake, Mads!”
Orange filled his vision as his dad leaned over him.
“D-dad?” asked Danny. He felt his core humming in his chest. His core, not his heart. He twisted his head just enough to see a black jumpsuit.
He was Phantom. His parents knew.
His dad’s face contorted with anger, an expression he’d never once seen there before. “Don’t you dare call me that, impostor! What have you done with my son?”
“Dad, it’s me. I swear. I—I can explain.” He tugged on his restraints, trying to phase through them. Only to scream as the anti-ghost shielding shocked him.
His mom’s steps echoed from out of sight. “You aren’t escaping us that easily, ghost,” she spat the last word. “How long have you been possessing Danny?” She finally came into view, goggles blocking her eyes and her mouth hard.
“I’m not possessing him, I am Danny!”
She sneered. “Jack, now.”
“Release our son!” shouted his father. Then he pulled out a spray can and held down the nozzle.
Danny saw the mist approach him and scrunched his eyes closed as he turned his head to avoid the spray. But of course it was impossible. He whimpered as it settled on him, tiny pinpricks of burning. As he lay there, the feeling grew more and more intense until he couldn’t help but cry out.
And that’s when he breathed it in.
It was all agony, inside and out. The mist settled in his lungs, pure fire trying to melt core.
With a flash of light, he was Danny Fenton again. His heart beat in his chest and his lungs screamed for oxygen. The pain didn’t go away, but it lessened. Danny gasped in deep breaths, his limbs shaking in their restraints as he tried to push through the pain.
“Did it work?” asked his dad.
Fingers brushed his hair off his forehead. “Sweetie? Are you back with us?”
Danny opened his eyes, tears gathering and looked up at the face of his mother.
Her expression turned from hope to hatred so fast he thought he was dreaming. “Green eyes, Jack. The ghost is just trying to trick us.”
“The ghost repellent has never failed before. How are you surviving, ghost?”
Danny screwed his eyes shut so he wouldn’t have to see his parents’ faces. “It’s me, I promise. It’s me. I’m alive. I’m alive.”
“Stop lying!” screamed his mom.
Then he felt a sharp pain in his side, followed by a wave of agony. He felt like he was being electrocuted again. In defense, he transformed back into Phantom—his ghost form was so much more durable.
But the pain only got worse. He screamed. His wail was crawling its way up his throat, only to fizzle out into a wave of electricity when it hit the anti-ghost restraint strapped around his neck.
“Loud, isn’t it?” asked his father.
“Let’s shut it up, Jack,” said his mother.
“No, no please. It’s me, Danny!”
They ignored him, though. The pain stopped just long enough for him to gasp in a few breaths. Then piece of metal was being fixed under his jaw and over his mouth. His head was yanked up so it could be strapped in the back. Danny tried to yell into the muzzle, but it muffled all sound.
After that, he lost track of what they did. So many inventions were taken out, used, and discarded. Anything to destroy the ghost part of him or force him out of his living body.
He wished he could obey. That he could just be their son again and not Phantom. But he’d learned many times over the last three years that it was impossible. He was both Danny Fenton and Danny Phantom and spitting himself apart would only ever lead to destruction.
He didn’t know how many times he was forced into a transformation as his body tried to choose the form more resistant to the torture. It didn’t seem to matter, though, if he was Fenton or Phantom. His parents would check his eyes or use the ghost tracker and then the next wave of pain would wash over him.
Eventually, however, even his parents ran out of inventions to use.
“This isn’t working, Jackie.”
“What if we can’t force it out, Mads? What next?”
“We’ll cut it out. You know we’ve long hypothesized about the existence of a ghost heart. What better way to test our hypothesis than cutting the parasite out of our own son?”
Danny’s eyes flew open and he tugged with aching muscles, twisting as much as he was able. His muffled protests were ignored just as much as his words had been.
“Where do you think it’s hiding its heart?” asked his dad.
“We’ll use the Fenton Scanner to find the areas of densest ectoplasm concentration and search each of them.”
His mom stalked out of sight and Danny could hear her rummaging through various bins and cabinets looking for the scanner.
His dad, however, stared down at him, eyes hidden behind his goggles and his mouth in an uncharacteristic frown. “If you’re still in there, Danno, we’re gonna get rid of it. We’ll free you, son.”
Danny wanted to tell him he wasn’t trapped, to say again that he was himself, whatever he looked like. But all he could do was whimper and blink away the tears.
Then mom was back, a small scanner in her hand. She pointed it at Danny and he tensed, expecting more pain.
But he felt nothing. Soon enough, the device beeped and she waved over his dad.
“Look at this, sweetie. It’s working better than I expected. Only two main areas of ectoplasm concentration: his brain and his chest.”
“That’s awfully close to his heart, Mads. I don’t know if we can remove it without hurting Danny.”
“If we don’t remove it, he’ll be dead anyway!” Her last word caught on a sob.
Danny was crying in earnest now, too. This couldn’t be real. It just couldn’t. How long would it take anyone to even notice? Jazz was away at college, Tucker had plans with his parents all night, Sam was trying to get along with her parents to get out of a rich-person function later in the month, and he and Tim didn’t have a check-in until Sunday.
Could he survive his parents for two whole days until then?
He forced his eyes open to see his parents hugging. All he wanted was to be between them, caught up in their embrace. But instead he was strapped down to a hard, cold table.
They separated.
“Hold him still, Jack,” said his mom.
So Danny did the opposite. He ignored the ache of his muscles, the way they protested, to twist and yank and move as much as he could.
But his father’s hands were big and he was strong and Danny was tired. When his dad spread his hands over his shoulders and pressed, Danny couldn’t fight back. Above him stood his mom, holding a scalpel that glowed green.
Danny closed his eyes tightly when he saw her lower the blade. He couldn’t watch this. Then agony as it sliced through his skin.
Danny screamed into the muzzle. The pain was so intense that he could focus on nothing else. He didn’t know if his parents were talking to each other. He didn’t know what they were finding inside of him.
Instinct forced him to hide his core, to push it smaller and disguise it. But he knew that nothing would stop his parents forever.
He had no way to judge the passage of time. It felt like an eternity; it felt like a second.
Then the hands on him ripped away suddenly and new shouts, new voices, rang out in the lab.
Danny blinked his eyes open to see Sam and Tucker above him. Sam was paler than he’d ever seen her and Tucker didn’t look any better. He tried to talk to them, but the muzzle still covered his face.
Sam turned her head away and shouted, “Kon!”
A moment later, Superboy was landing next to her, his face grim. Then Danny’s restraints, muzzle included, fell to pieces. He was free.
He pushed himself up, needing to see, only to cry in pain and fall back down when the cuts on his chest protested the movement.
Sam and Tucker shouted at him, told him to stay still. Their words were fuzzy and hard to focus on. Everything was hard to focus on. But in the brief moment of time he’d been able to see more than the ceiling above him, he saw Tim in full Red Robin get up using his staff to keep his parents away.
Tim was here. And the world went black.

I no longer tag, but if you want notifications when I update, check out the Subscription Post.
After about 40k of writing, we're finally back to the scene that started it all! Only now with 4x the number of Young Justice on hand. About three years have passed between Arc 2 and Arc 3, so they've all gotten quite close. There's group chats. So many group chats. Danny's met more members of the Young Justice (and I may write a few of those meetings in the future which is 80% why I decided to make this a series rather than a single work on AO3).
But on the rescue team we've only got Red Robin, Superboy, Wonder Girl, and Impulse.
I'm about a third of the way through with major edits for Arc 2. So I'll probably start cross posting to AO3 quite soon! Main changes are in what Tim tells Bruce about where he is and what he's up to.
