kdkdkdjdksks PLS lj with twins is so CUTE!!!! we literally stan !!! now we need lj with one of his daughters (maybe they’re now teenagers or sum) where the daughter is feelin insecure abt her appearance and is looking in the mirror kinda sad prolly sayin sum like “dad, am i even pre’y? i look ghastly.” I WILL WORSHIP LJ WITH HIS DAUGHTERS UNTIL THE DAY I DIE
ANON THIS IDEA IS SO CUTE OMG THANK U FOR SENDING IT IN 🥺. I HAD A BLAST WRITING MORE DAD LJ ESPECIALLY WITH AN ANGSTY TEENAGER. tbh its a really interesting dynamic, a normal human growing up in a house full of cryptids and murderers being raised by a non-human creature. this is a really fun idea to play with ty for letting me play with it

Jack hummed to himself as he bouncily walked down the upstairs hallway. With a smile on his face, he stopped and turned towards the door to his left. He rapped his knuckles against it in a short, cheery tune. ‘’Luuuv!’’ he called out. ‘’Ye in there?’’
He heard the person behind the door sigh quietly and walk across the room. The door creaked open and he was greeted by a shorter teenager who glared up at him. One of his two twin daughters. Jack ignored her glare and gave her his signature toothy grin. ‘’Ey swee’ear’.’’ he greeted. ‘’Ye busy? I was wond’rin’ if ye’d like ta practice jugglin’ ‘r somefink. Been awhile since we did anyfin’ t’gether.’’ it was true. As his daughters got older, they became slightly less interested in circus tricks and practical jokes and more into other things, like music and fashion and of course- boys. Sure it hurt a little, seeing his precious little girls become savvy teenagers that idolised him less and less, but he didn’t mind. It was part of growing up, and he had to accept that.
The girl sighed. ‘’No’ righ’ now, da.’’ she murmured before pushing the door closed. Jack shot his hand out, putting his hand in the crack in the door. The girl pulled the door open more, giving him an irritated look. Jack frowned.
‘’Ye okay, swee’ear’?’’ he asked gently. ‘’Ye seem upse’. Is everyfin’ alrigh’?’’
The girl stared up at him for a moment before looking away and sighing. ‘’I’s nofink.’’ she murmured. ‘’I’m fine, da.’’
Jack shook his head. ‘’I don’ fink ye are.’’ he said firmly. The girl stared up at him for a second before sighing again and turning away from the door. Jack pushed the door open a bit and looked inside. His girl’s room was simple, but comfy. A fluffy carpet, walls covered in posters and drawings, circus supplies scattered around- and of course, some pets. The two girls shared their father’s love for animals. Jack stepped inside and watched his daughter sit down on the edge of her bed and stare at the mirror in front of her. She pouted, just staring at herself. Jack frowned and shuffled over to her, standing behind her on the other side of the bed. ‘’Wha’s wrong, pet?’’
She huffed. ‘’...I look ghas’ly.’’ she finally said. Jack frowned.
‘’No ye don’t!’’ he replied quickly. ‘’Wha’ makes ye fink tha’?’’
The girl’s gaze hardened. ‘’Me ‘air is a greasy mess, me eyes are a bluddy ro’en colour and I’m-’’ she let out a frustrated sigh. ‘’I’m fat.’’
‘’Oh, poppe’.’’ Jack climbed onto the bed and pulled the girl into his arms, hugging her tightly. ‘’Tha’s no’ true, luv. No’ true a’ all. Yer ‘air is beau’iful, an’ ye’re grea’ a’ stylin’ i’! Be’er than me even! No’ ta mention ye’re eyes are th’ pre’ies’ fing I’ve ever seen.’’ he squeezed her lovingly, looking at the two of them in the mirror. The girl sighed.
‘’Ye don’t ‘ave ta make me feel be’er, da…’’she murmured. ‘’I don’t fink ye can talk much I mean- ye’re no’ ‘uman…’’ she looked down. Jack frowned. ‘’Sides...no ma’er wha’ I change I’ll still be me...I’ll still ‘ave me thick fockin’ accent an’ I’ll still live in this weird ol’ ‘ouse.’’
Jack looked down at her. ‘’...ye don’t like bein’ ‘ere…?’’ he asked softly. The girl looked up and him and sighed, shaking her head.
‘’I just- wish I lived somewhere a bi’ more...normal, y’know?’’ she looked down sadly. ‘’I jus’ wanna be normal…’’ she reached up, curling her hands around her father’s boney black ones. ‘’I like i’ ‘ere I just- wish I could bring friends over...show em me family...I go’a ‘ide i’ all from everyone I mean,’’ she looked up. ‘’Me da is a clown.’’
‘’Swee’ar’...’’ Jack murmured. He gulped, trying not to cry. He couldn’t- not when his daughter needed reassurance. ‘’I know i’s been ‘ard...growin’ up away from other kids…’’ he said gently. ‘’Bu’ ye are normal. Ye’re just as normal as every’ne else. I’s just that ye can do circus tricks an’ yer second da ‘asn’t go’ a face.’’
The girl sighed. ‘’Tha’s no’ really ‘elpin’, da.’’ she said with a small smile. Jack laughed gently and squeezed her in his arms.
‘’Listen, poppe’, ye know i’s no’ th’ normal life ye see on telly an’ all tha’, bu’ ye’re just th’ same as every’ne else. Yer ‘air is just as nice as any other girls, and yer eyes are lovely. And ye’re no’ fat! Ye’re a perfectly ‘ealthy weigh’.’’ he gave her a stern look in the mirror. The girl laughed a little bit.
‘’...alrigh’ da, if ye say so…’’ she smiled softly as she looked at the two of them. ‘’Sorry abou’ all this…’’
‘’I’s alrigh’.’’ Jack looked down. ‘’Any reason why ye’re finkin’ so ‘ard abou’ other people?’’
‘’Mmm…’’
‘’Is i’ tha’ boy from th’ ska’epark?’’ he grinned down at her. The girl blushed.
‘’N-no! Of course no’!’’ she yelped quickly. Jack wheezed and squeezed her tight.
‘’Someone’s in looove!!’’
‘’Shu’ up ye ol’ codger!’’
