The families of Widespot said goodbye to Misty Weiss, Forrest Shores, Artie Hart, and Cole Mann. Funnily enough, all four were related to the late Valentine Hart: Cole was his son, Candy’s son Artie was his grandson, and Misty and Forrest were Rhett’s children.

Okay. You guys have no idea how many times I have posted and deleted, then posted and deleted again. I’ve had this OC for decades, and she is *delightfully* unhinged. I’m incredibly shy, and I’ve never quite been brave enough to share her with the world, but today is my freaking birthday, so I’m just gonna go for it, in a completely, unapologetically self indulgent way. So if you like this snippet of a fic about a bet between Trevor and my OC… could you kindly let me know. I would be happy to keep going…

A wild grin spread across Trevor’s face as he raced after Neeka. He watched the moonlight change her blonde hair into a luminous silver streak that trailed in the air behind her while she ran. Her legs pumped and arms swung with a strength and elegance that he hadn’t anticipated. For a moment, he’d forgotten their game, and simply hung back in awe at the sight. But only for a moment. The second her steps began to falter, he knew he’d won. She was fast, but Sandy Shores was his home turf, and he had been pacing himself. Speed was all well and good on solid ground. But the desert sands tended to shift beneath your feet, demanding endurance. And *that*, he had in droves. All he needed to do was wait for his opening.

Then, there it was. One uneven place in the sand. A single, awkward misstep that shifted Neeka’s balance off center. Trevor lunged forward, cackling in triumph as their bodies connected and tumbled to the ground. “Mmmmm. I win. You’re mine now, sugar.”
