i think i’ve made it pretty clear at this point that i adore ofmd but i think the fat jokes are going to be the part that age the worst and most unforgivably (if we’re lucky). i think the show does some things well, but it’s kind of like wallpaper over black mold at times — the things it does right don’t necessarily address the underlying issue

i’m just thinking about this bc i think fat activism is one of those things that’s constantly fighting an uphill battle bc it’s WAY easier to dismiss fatphobia as a conspiracy theory for “lazy” people, even if you consider yourself to be progressive. and it kind of hurts to see it happen in a fandom i love so much
