Hey guys. I’m glad to be finally posting my “mental breakdown survival guide”. As you know I struggle a lot with mental health, and so I have been through a lot of breakdowns. So many that I actually dropped out of university after 3 weeks in 2016 and had to take the whole year off. Because of this, I’ve made it my mission to help others with mental health issues as much as I can, so you don’t have to go through what I’ve been through.

Anyway, here is my guide. I tried to keep it general, and actually useful. If you have any questions or additions please feel free to add them.

And as ever, if you want to talk to me about studying with mental illness or want to see a post on a specific topic, please feel free to message me.

AUGUST 28 - SEPTEMBER 3, 2017 

I am IN LOVE with my Hufflepuff-themed spread from last week. It is probably in my top 5 of weekly spreads, to be honest. The yellow was so cheerful and great to see every day, and I love the plant aesthetic. I’m definitely a proud Hufflepuff and the more I think about it, the more I identify with the values of the house.

7.31.2017 9:15 AM: A day late with this once more because I got rather distracted by catching up with an old friend! But I’m here, the last day of July, welcoming August and the return of school (kinda). My spreads are getting much more minimalistic but I still have fun doodling in them. I kinda went hog-wild with my trackers, but there are a lot of habits I need to begin for the new school year, so I might as well practice before it gets too busy. Besides, I don’t intend to fill all of them completely, but I do want to see my progress through the week. That’s why there are multiple squares for the notes and research.

Hey hey hey class of 2021! We, and by we I mean me (@ambedostudies) and @raven-studies , are starting a class of 2021 studyblrs network, since I noticed there isn’t one for us..? I realize that some people might think its too early for us, but there’s not time like the present! So, I’m hoping to get some studyblrs as admins, anyone in the class of 2021 can join and/or apply to be an admin.

What Are We?

This is inspired by @hs2017, @co2018 , @co2020 ! I hope for this to become a place to share resources, tips, hacks, find friends, and get better academically and as people. You definitely don’t have to be co2021 to follow us, Class of 2021 Network will provide advice, master posts, printables, motivational quotes (lots of these), and many more resources.

10. What is your favorite piece of stationery you own?My Sketchbook (I don’t care if this isn’t counted as stationary, its considered stationary to me.)

20. Do any of your friends from school know you have a studyblr?A few of my high school friends know about my studygram/bookstagram (urbexstudies) but the rest of them do not. I haven’t talked to any of my high school friends since I graduated. (and I feel horrible)

30. What majors are you thinking about?Well, I’m going to be majoring in Media Arts (Fixating on Photography and Graphic Design) thats my major, haha.

40. Do you do well with lectures?I haven’t had a lecture yet! but I already know I wont be able to handle them at all. I work better in a classroom environment because huge groups of people heighten my anxiety. 

50. What SAT subject tests have you taken?....i had to read this question more times than i would like to admit. but none, and i still don’t understand it, but I haven’t even taken the SAT, the closest thing I got to that test was the PSAT.

60. Do you prefer to learn by yourself or through an instructor?through an instructor. I’ve never taught myself anything and I personally believe that I really could never teach myself something. I have taught myself a few things though (basic HTML for editing themes)

70. How do you file your papers at home?I AM AN UNORGANIZED BUT ORGANIZED PIECE OF SHIT. I DONT ORGANIZE PAPERS BUT I DO. OOOPS. (oh no i dont have the typical studyblr aesthetic everyones gonna killll meeee)

80. Does your school have uniforms?Nope, not at all, and I didn’t have to deal with them ever, thank heck.

90. Do you tend to skip out on parties or hang outs to study?who are parties and studying? i dont know them. (in other words, i do neither. yet again, crushing the studyblr aesthetic)

100.What’s the highest grade you’ve gotten on an assignment you BSed?Okay, I Bullshitted my way through almost everything but the biggest accomplishment of bullshitting for me was through a graphic design final project (IT WAS A MEME. I MADE A MEME FOR MY GRAPHIC DESIGN FINAL PROJECT) AND GOT A FUCKING 99 ON IT

AUGUST 21 - 27, 2017 

I worked a lot last week and didn’t get much else done. But I am now caught up on Twin Peaks! 

My gold gel pen, a Uniball Gel Impact, ran out of steam and it’s now an orangey color. Of course that had to happen the week I incorporated gold into my theme. Anyone else had this problem or have another gold pen suggestion?
