[Backstory and Lore:]

"...My life had way more talking plushies playing key roles than I'd have guessed."

Son of <L.D. Violet Level Access Only> and <L.D. Violet Level Access Only> Noir is a normal (?) human (?) teen from Shiver Star and Adeleine's older brother.

After the early death of his parents under very suspicious circumstances, Noir took over as sole guardian of his little sister, giving up the little-to-nothing he had to keep her safe and happy, including his own happiness, his health, and very nearly his sanity.

His preternaturally bad luck took a turn for the absolutely devastating when–while searching for a cheer-up gift for his little sister amongst some suspicious New World relics–he just so happened to acquire a psychic blade forged of Dark Matter.

As if it knew exactly who he was and exactly who he could go on to be, the Blade attached itself to him in a rather physical (:cough: and un-removable :cough:) manner and began slowly but surely corrupting him, body, mind, and soul.

Yet, he was able to use its destructive gifts to quietly rescue his sister Adeleine from Shiver Star's apocalyptic, dead-end environs and send her off into the endless possibilities waiting in the sea of stars, guaranteeing she, at least, would have a future.

The corruption devours him soon after.

In a 'verse close to that of the canon games, Noir loses his human body upon death along with (most) of his memories, and his captive soul is reforged by Zero as the eldritch entity's elite vanguard, a position which caused King Dedede to dub him "Blade."

In this form, the emotionless(?) Dark Matter drone would go on to adopt Gooey (in place of the sister he could not fully remember) and lead the invasion of Popstar for the collective, unaware it was the very planet Adeleine escaped to. She would not discover the one-eyed shadow monster was her brother till much, much later...

Noir dies a second time, in a duel against Popstar's hero, Kirby of the Stars, having remembered his human life too late to do anything about it. Noir would die for a third time after a disappointed Zero resurrects, tortures, and brainwashes him in order to force his participation in the second, penultimate invasion of Popstar.

Tragically, even after banishing Dark Matter from Popstar and destroying Zero, Noir's soul remains trapped in darkness.

...He would've liked to see his little sister and brother again...

If your OC has ANY ability to sense Dark Matter, is or ever was Dark Matter, or has a grudge against Dark Matter, Noir should set them off like a particularly obnoxious car alarm. He radiates Dark Matter energy, even when he's not doing anything.

If your OC is small, cute, and harmless (ie: reminds him of Adeleine or Gooey in any way) you may earn some begrudging care from the boy. He's got a terminal case of big-brother syndrome, after all.

If your OC has been through the horrors (and specifically NOT come out a better, healthier person for it) he will probably sympathize.

Address him as "Swordsman" and watch him twitch! It's fun!

For this event, Noir is visually in his "last days as a living human" form, ie: purple-black patches of corrupted flesh and veins and monster hands beneath his gloves.

He's below average height and weight for his age, but being an Earth-human like Adeleine (and taller than her) generally winds up taller than most average Dream Land-type residents

As far as physical appearance goes, Noir is still 16 (the age he died at) but he spent a sizable period of time as Dark Matter and his true mental/emotional age is difficult to calculate.

Outside of the powers he picked up from the sword (teleportation, darkness control, memory-based matter re-creation, etc) Noir, owing to his heritage, has some mild powers all of his own (pre-cognition, cross-dimensional sight, etc) though he is untrained in the use of them and remains unaware they are "powers" at all.

How is Ladybug and Catnoir, awakening better then the show?

So I just watched the miraculous movie.

I stopped watching the show around season 3 mostly because I was getting into another media and honestly I was just so tired of the bad writhing and continusly being disappointed by something that had the potential to be great. So when I heard the movie was actually good I had to see for myself and... WTF!

How is an hour and 40 minutes long movie better then a 5 season show that had 8 years of planning only to fail so badly!!!

Don't get me wrong the film wasn't perfect (I liked the songs but I think it would have been better if the film wasn't a muiscal, mostly so they could've flushed out the story more) but it did so many things better than the show and it improved the characters, themes and narrative. Even with it's flaws it's a beautiful movie with a wonderful message about love, courage and gave me everthing I wanted from this series since I was a teenager.

Like Ladybug and Cat noir being equals and makeing one another stronger

Marinette/Ladybug being a better written heroine, starting out as a shy and lonely girl who finds her courage and inner power, removing the creepy stalker element to her character and she's still the protagonist but doesn't take the spotlight of Adrien/Cat Noir the deuteragonist when it's his time to shine. Also Tiki is so sassy in this movie and I love it. 💞

Cat Noir/Adrien getting a chance to shine and being treated better as a character and not only a trophy or sidekick for Marinette/Ladybug, but a kid who's dealing with the lost of his mother and strained relationship with his father, then finding freedom through being a hero and opening his heart to connection again.

I do wish we got more sences with him and Gabriel and that they kept the deleted sence were he tells marinette about his mother when she finds his locket (we see it in the montage but I wish we got the full sence in the film).

And I really wish we got to see his and plagues first meeting (and that plague wasn't just a fart joke 🙄) but overall the movie handled him well and did his character some well deserved justice.

Finally giving us the confrontation with Adrien and his dad we've been waiting for and actually makeing Gabriel care about his son and not just being an abusive asshole!

Gabriel is also a better written character and his redemption work's more in the movie than the show.

A well developed romance without all the creepy problimatic stuff, with excellent chemistry between our two leads and a lot of truely sweet moment's that build a endearing love story about two young people looking for belonging.

Like I said I wish they kept the locket sence because it would have added more to the love story but the romance is still done so well and made me so happy.😊

AND FINALLY THE IDENTITY REVEAL!!!! Starting out there romantic relationship with them being who they truely are and no secrets between them.

Even though I stop watching the series I still check in on it ever once in awhile, but I feel that I can finely move on from Miraculous because the movie did everything the show failed to do.

I love this movie and I'm so glad that this story finally got the justice it deserves. 🐞🐾

Depression buster!

Been feeling a little down lately. But, since it's been almost a month since Anime North, I figured it's about damn time I get around to posting some pics from it.

I teased some parts of my Argos costume here before, (the fan and brooch) now here's the whole thing.

Everything you see here is handmade by me, except for the brooch, zipper pulls and gems, which my brother 3D printed for me in resin and I painted. The fan is made out of a basic fan base and cardstock feathers that I created with my cricut. The boots and gloves are thrifted but I modified them for the costume.

I can say with confidence that being both plus size and a Mom to an (also cosplaying) 7 year old, that between the heat, the face paint, and touting around a sassy child, this con almost killed me. Haha. But we all had a great time, despite everything.

My daughter cosplayed as Luz Noceda from Owl House, in her 'Good witch Azura' outfit. My Mom cosplayed as Eda Clawthorne/the Owl Lady.

I made everything you see here again, except the 2 staffs, Luz's Tiara (which you can't even see in these pics 😮‍💨), and Eda's gem, which again my brother 3d printed and I painted. (Obviously I didn't make the boots or fannie pack either)

We wore those for Saturday and Sunday, but Friday we dressed as Emonette from the Paris/Reverse special (me) and Juleka (mom) and Star Butterfly from Star Vs the Forces of Evil. (My daughter)

These were a mix of thrifted and handmade items (too lazy to list, haha)

I even managed to find a small amount of Miraculous merch!

Cat Noir and Plagg toy, Ladybug earrings, some small prints and these adorable keychains! (Looking for info on the artist! The art is signed 'Chuinny'. Will update when I figure it out!)

And of course, my fav find, these gorgeous art prints! (Already framed by me and ready to be hung up!)

Redeemed Claw Noir and Shady bug are NOT Ladybug and Cat Noir

They are their own version of themselves.

Oh wait... I should have said ** spoilers*** whatever.

What I'm trying to say is that nobody changes overnight. Claw Noir/Shadybug redemption arc happened in ONE NIGHT!! So I like to imagine that at least 3 more seasons of reverse-Hesperia-Miraculous show will be guaranteed to air after the special. Of course we won't watch it in our current universe. Bummer.

YES they will still be themselves. Struggling with their pain, with their emotional baggage, their FREAKING awesome overpowering strength (wow, these two really KNOW how to fight), their smirks and their silliness and their sassiness. Hesperia has the job cut out for him trying to reform these anti-heroes and bring them to the good side. It's going to be INTERESTING to say the least.

I admit that I spent last night rewatching the special again! and I'm happy the animators kept their quirks. Yes, RIP awesome Shadyclaw outfit *sob* It will take some time for me to come in terms with that.

BUT claw noir was too cool to change.

A hair tint, skip the lipstick, less punk more rock-and-roll, drop the mangy-cat act and go for that Lion King roaring look.

He has most if not all Clark's powers, shapeshifting, intangibility, invisibility, phasing, telepathy, seriously his powers seem to never end ??? But he's terribly underutilized :") like I get it but come on DC,,,

J'onn is addicted to Oreos. no, really. in MM 98 issue 24 Blue Beetle and Booster Gold have this Super Funny Idea to hide all the Oreos from J'onn, and you gotta applaud the dedication to the prank bc they literally went out and bought ALL the Oreos from the ENTIRE vicinity of the JL Embassy building. J'onn proceeds to Hulk out and tear up half the city chasing them for it. It's revealed by Batman that Martians can get addicted to Oreos. At the end of the issue it turns out this is just a story J'onn is telling Diana but... he winks and asks if she's got any cookies, so it's up for debate if it's really just a story [I think there's some truth to it. bc it's very funny.]. And the Oreo thing comes up many times in many places including JLTAS 😂

He also likes sweet things in general !! he canonically drinks coffee with a TON of sugary shit to take off the bitter taste. I also made the hc that was the case for him just days before reading it in MM Identity and I'm very real for that 👏

J'onn is a cat person. One of his aliases is even an Italian street cat named Tommaso. And he has an orange cat named Double Stuff,,, of course 😂

however,,, he's totally a dragon nerd, he knows everything about dragons, he likes reptiles in general but dragons are his fav. He shapeshifts into draconic creatures all the time and he talks many times abt a specific species of moon nesting dragon called quonars. He also telepathically connected with an iguana once and it was a wholesome experience 🥺

J'onn lives in Colorado, in a suburb named Middleton, which is actually the name of a real ghost town! it's interesting that Denver is his preferred climate bc you can assume Mars was similar 👀

He is THE sass master. He goes toe to toe with Batman constantly. One of these days I'll just make a list of every sassy line he delivers in JLTAS but I think that would be a whole book by itself. There's a video of sassy moments from Batman: The Brave and the Bold that I watch 400 times a week. One of my favorite comic sass moments is when Batman expresses his annoyance at J'onn for leaving on the middle of an important meeting, which J'onn happily counters with a "you're so right, it would look bad on the League if someone just vanished at random all the time, huh Batman :)." he then also takes a crack at Bruce's lack of people skills. iconic.

He's also a silly little guy. The Batman 2007? J'onn OWNS the noir detective role, down to the cheesy old fashioned music. He also has like, a whole list of quotes he's just waiting to use when the time is right. He waited years to say "You're probably wondering why I've called you all here today." love him fr

J'onn is canonically kind of an adrenaline junkie. He loves driving, particularly an 87 Chevy Impala which he affectionately says "vibrates like a Chihuahua with a head cold." He once physically linked with an entire damaged spaceship to steer it out of danger and got carried away bc he was just having fun. He also said it was similar to the video games he plays with GL-- so he's canonically a gamer, too 😂👏

I 100% believe he's got anxiety or at LEAST separation anxiety [and that may be the case for the entire Martian race]. I already thought as much but then JLU issue 24 kinda confirmed it and it was devastating :") the League is taken over by Starro, J'onn is the only one who dodges the attack and he's left to fight his teammates which. is already awful for him. and it triggers flashbacks to a time on Mars when he was separated from his family in a nasty sandstorm. J'onn went pretty much feral with panic until he broke down and then forced himself to calm down enough to think of a plan. Meanwhile back with the League he's frantically trying not to panic again bc, while fire is a Martian's greatest weakness, "being alone is a Martian's greatest fear." I cried the whole time I read that issue and then I bought a copy LMAO. can DC stop putting him through the PTSD wringer for five seconds thanks

One short comic run J'onn spends the whole time being chased by the Martian god of fire, H'ronmeer, bc it turns out he was psychically keeping the souls of the entire Martian population tethered to the mortal realm. he's super powerful and HE'S GOING THROUGH IT. ALL THE TIME.

I don't have the context for either happenstance at this time, but J'onn has been both a Black and a White Lantern in comics. I have no idea what any of it means, either, I just know it's happened. I'll get there eventually. maybe. [I think he's dead for the Black Lantern thing so...probably...not...]

I don't know what it is about forcefields but his brain just shuts off when he gets near one fr. Multiple times when there's a forcefield, EVEN IF HE KNOWS IT'S THERE, J'onn just yeets headfirst into it. He's just generally super impulsive tho ??? This guy is constantly jumping into action without a moment's thought. pls stop handing off the braincell to absolutely no one when there's danger, J'onn [he does not actually have the braincell at any given time. only Bruce has it. occasionally].

He totally enjoys starting shit. J'onn is Here for teammate drama. He once gave Batman absolutely what for and called him immature just bc J'onn was annoyed with his attitude. He sends people on League missions that will either bring out complete drama or make them find common ground. Though he says the contrary, J'onn is absolutely in the background of every team squabble with popcorn like Thor watching Tony and Cap argue. "You're all so petty. And tiny."

J'onn's name means "light to the light" and it's so poetic 😭😭 of COURSE he's the heart of the League. akdjfndckdnxkd

•Miguel:holder of the butterfly miraculous,he would nooroo's transmission powers to try taking Senõr Escarabajo and Minou Noire's Miraculous.his villian name is "LORD NYMPHALIS" (nymphalis is a species of butterfly).

•Lyla: Not a spidey but, she would defintely be holder of the peacock miraculous,Lyla "doesn't" have emotions,and she's using a miraculous who controlls emotions makes sense to me! Her villian name is "LA PAON" (The peacock in french)

•Hobie:Holder of the tiger miraculous,he would defintely love to interact with Roarr,the power of collison is defintely the best to give to Hobie.his hero name is "HAZARD TIGER".

•Pavitr:holder of the snake miraculous,it would be a great suggestion to Pav! Sass would love Pav as his holder so much. his hero name is "SUNAHARA SAANP" (Golden snake in hindi).

•Peter B.:Holder of the turtle miraculous,he protects Mayday everytime in ATSV,so,makes sense his kwami is wayzz. his hero name is "DONATELLO" (reference from TNT).

•Peni:Holder of the Fox miraculous,She's japanese what else did you expect it? lol. Jokes aside,I think the power of ilusions kinda fits Peni a lot! her hero name is "CHĪSANA KITSUNE" (little fox in japanese).

•Margo:Holder of the Rabbit miraculous, she would be able to control technology from past,present and future along the powers fluff gives to Margo. her hero name is "TECHBUNNY".

•Jessica:Holder of the dragon miraculous,she has to measure the time she's transformed bc of her pregnancy,Longg would help her in this period. her anti-hero name is "LE TRACTEUR BLINDÉ" (dragon in french).

•Scarlet spider:Holder of the Monkey miraculous, Tuppu would influence him to jokes around everytime,He mocks everyone transformed or not transformed. his anti-hero name is "CALLITHRIX" (callithrix is a species of monkey).

2. Adrien

Of course. I cannot forget our blind kuro neko. 1. Character

Adrien is a charismatic dreamer, but he is also often shy, a bit reserved and considerably innocent and naïve. he resembles a baby bird afraid to come out of his nest. he always tries to see the best in others, to those that have mean or cruel intentions and he's willing to give second chances, believing that with patience and time, anyone can change. He's friendly, empathetic, understanding, supportive, selfless, wise, and encouraging to others in hard times. His will for exposure, change and making friends definitely complements his personality. He's giving Brandon from Dork Diaries. 2. Flaws Adrien's character is half accurate for a kid who's grown up quite isolated and with strict parents, like being overly naive and oblivious, but there can be some changes. He should know by now that Gabriel is toxic. He may not know at first but after talking to his friends, he should realize that it's deeper. and I can see him developing tactics used by kids who have strict families like being able to tell a person by their footsteps, acting ability and rebellious feelings. I'd pay to see an episode where he actually stands up for himself unlike being the sheltered obedient kid scared to come out. Oh, ofc the blindness. His blindness is too inaccurate. like yeah, he's clueless but he should be more observant than he looks and he should be good at reading signs in Gabriel, Felix and Nathalie about their intentions and Marinette's feelings for him.

3. Chat Noir Oh la la what do I need to mention? Like y'all need to admit, we all had a crush on him once in a while. Chat noir is who Adrien wants to be outside his 'good boy' mask, the sassy, confident, optimistic, open and cracks cat-related jokes and puns. I'd also add that like Mari, he can show his inner CN out.

4. Design Adrien's design is good in terms of high school kids. But he's a model! Dress the part! I'd love to see him experiment with fashion trends, colours, hairstyles and more. for CN, His suit is already perfection. love the leather. but I'd like some more colour, like silver accessories or bits of grey and green. and add some velvet or matte which would accelerate the appeal That's it for now, stay tuned for more!
