They had a deep complicated story. And tbh it's such a pity their story can't go to romance. But i know, not every good story have to ended with romance. But yknow, others could use their trope for their hetero romance couple😂

If either naruto or sasuke was a woman everyone would view their relationship as an epic love story and they would have been canon and i will literally die on that hill

It is so crazy to me when people say that Naruto's affection towards Sasuke is one sided or Naruto really overestimated Sasuke's role as a friend.

Sasuke, right after Iruka, was the first person who was kind to Naruto. Yes, in his own little arrogant way, but still kind. Everything leading to Sasuke sacrificing himself literally in Lans of Waves was showing us this.

Let's start with initial draft for the second chapter, Kishimoto actually wanted to introduce Sasuke right there (without Sakura and Kakashi) to the point where he outlined the whole story.

Sasuke not only saved Naruto from bullies, he actually saved hitai-ate that Iruka just gave. With this he also in a cheeky way recognized Naruto as someone worthy being ninja. Second person after Iruka.

But even if we don't take it in mind, since this wasn't published that time, right after we see Sasuke feeding Naruto at the rist of loosing Kakashi's test. Mind you, Sasuke's goal was to become stronger, and risking this just to help Naruto is actually huge.

Even in moments that where we see Sasuke being a bit mean to Naruto, it's always has this underlayer of actual kindness behind it. After being attacked (and saved by Sasuke again), Naruto was actually spiriling and in a stupor because of fear, and it was Sasuke's teasing that snapped him out of it.

We see them using teasing as a way of cheering up each other a lot after land of Waves too.

Sasuke was also the one training with Naruto and once again saving him (from a fall that probably won't hurt Naruto that much but still).

And in the culmination of this very first arc, what Sasuke does? Saves Naruto once again, this time at the cost of his life (as we thought at that moment).

When you put it all back to back, you can't not understand why Naruto considers Sasuke his best friend and second after Iruka. Sasuke was the first one (after Iruka) to show kindness and acceptance to the boy who almost never saw it from anyone else.

It has come to my attention that people genuinely consider narusasu | sasunaru a proship or a problematic ship, and I’m actually pretty baffled. 

While I’m not all that familiar with the term “proship” or what it even means, their definition of it is shipping problematic ships (i.e., incest, age gaps, etc.). They were essentially saying that shipping Naruto and Sasuke together was incest, as they’re related, and I mean, if you want to see it like that, then sure, they kinda are, but it’s so very distant that it really doesn’t even count. 

Honestly, if we wanted to get really technical, then naruhina (you know, the canon ship of Hinata/Naruto) would be incest (or a proship?) too, as they’re also related. All the Uchiha, Senju, Hyuga, and Uzumaki clans are very distantly related. They share an ancestor, Kaguya, who had two sons, Hamura and Hagoromo. Hamura's line started the Hyuga clan, and Hagoromo's started the Senju and Uchiha clans, as he had two sons; one being Asura, who started the Senju and later branched off into the Uzumaki’s, and the other being Indra, who started the Uchiha). So they’re all related—very, very distantly—but still related, as they’re all descended from Kaguya. 

Even the argument of “oh, but they’re reincarnations of brothers” falls pretty flat because it’s merely their chakra, not their souls (“Even after their flesh perished, the chakra the two honed continued to reincarnate across time, without vanishing…”). Indra and Asura’s chakra just inhabits the incarnates, and once they die, that chakra moves on to the next set of incarnates (as it did with Madara & Hashirama and every other set of incarnates). Naruto and Sasuke are not Asura and Indra (Naruto states that himself). They’re two very different individuals, with their own separate souls.

I mean, if you don’t like the ship because you see them as brothers, then okay, see them however you want, but to label said ship as problematic when it’s quite literally like the least problematic ship there, or to bash people for liking it, is pretty weird.

Hi! So I have a question. In chapter 679, sasuke and naruto have this conversation

When Naruto was talking about how his "body moved on his own." Was he referring to Sasuke saving Sakura and Kakashi or Sasuke saving naruto from being hit by the tsukuyomi?

Naruto is referring to Sasuke saving him. As you can see, there are many times Sasuke doesn't save Sakura.

As in the panels you send, as in this one above, Sakura noticed Sasuke doesn't care about her safety. Naruto didn't need saving, but Sasuke saved him anyway, while ignoring Kakashi and Sakura.

Kishi draws this many times when it comes to Sasuke protecting Naruto. The whole point is he does it instinctively, even if Naruto doesn't need it. In the second one, Naruto is already being protected by Susanoo, but Sasuke's hand moves instinctively to protect him anyway. This never happens with Sakura, but the opposite does.

You people need to stop letting SS get to you, their argument is easily debunked. Sasuke had more than two times to INSTINCTIVELY go to her rescue, and he didn't. And Kishi drew Sakura to notice this. While he drew Sasuke protect Naruto, and Naruto being affected every time.

This moment is a closure to their little secret that happened in land of waves, when Sasuke "died" to protect Naruto.
