I think it's time to talk about evil Copia.

Here is the beginning of the discussion.

I actually think that both sides of him, dumb and cruel, are real. He is dumb and cruel (sorry, Copia fans). I don't think he’s a Machiavellian genius. But he wanted to be a Papa for a long time and he was making his career year by year. He was unsure of himself, jealous of the other Papa’s successes and wanted to prove himself and other people that he can be better than them. So, one day, he proved that by murdering his predecessors. Maybe it was not his decision but Sister's, but anyway, he did it. Maybe now he regrets it because we can see the sensitive side of him. 

Now we have a large body of evidence against him:

-his bad attitude towards Papa III in the video were he listens to “He Is”

-insulting names on the crypts (stronzissimo, stronzo, stronzino)

-the mosaic with the Stockholm Bloodbath behind his back

-the Prequelle lyrics

-the T-Shirt art where he holds a knife standing over the Papa’s sculls

-the video where he looks like he has murdered Nihil

-holding the fucking head!

i was tagged by @funeralshawls to share 4 albums i’ve been fixated on recently! tysm for tagging me <333 though tbh ive been on a child ballad/folk kick lately so there's not much variety here ^__^;

Child Ballads by Anaïs Mitchell & Jefferson Hamer: This one's been in my library for a couple of years; it's only 10 songs but i can listen to it on loop for hours. their take on Willie's Lady/Child 6 is SO fun to me it makes me wish i was wearing a skirt with petticoats to stomp and twirl along with

5 by Joan Baez: JOANNNNN her voice is so soft and gentle here i love it. her rendition of the Unquiet Grave/Child 76 is sweet with a twinge of melancholy, which fits the song perfectly. the album as a whole has warm spring day vibe you feel like you're having a picnic with joan and she's noodling on her guitar. its cozy! not much to add here, this album's a classic

The Keys of Canterbury by Lisa Theriot: it's the stories from the Canterbury tales in song form, and they're mostly done by just Lisa and a guitar. a lot of them are very fun and jaunty. 'wife of bath's tale' is probably my favorite here ive listened to it dozens of times

Cycle by Lady Maisery: more child ballads! the ladies might not be the best singers in a technical sense, at least compared to the others here, but i kinda like that. it adds to the vibe, makes you feel like they're singers in a tavern. and i won't say it's better, but their cover of Digger's Song is really close in quality to Chumbawumba's imo
