fic rec! YGO x DNAngel 12K fic

Summary: Yuugi is looking for some help with his art. He finds that and unexpected friendship in an tiny campus studio and the art student that seems to practically live there.

Comments: This is post canon for both of them, with Yugi working through his grief via making a game and Daisuke doing the same with art. They don't really talk about it, but you can tell they both realize the other is going through something similar. Grieving is a slow process, but they work through it and eventually become a couple. (At 18 months you'd think it was a slow burn, but the fic is short.)

I love the little details in here - Joey, Mai, and Tea in a triad, Satoshi feeling the magic in Duel Monster cards, Yugi standing up to Kaiba and getting what he wants in a job offer. But Daisuke and Yugi just have a lot in common and I love that they found eachother.

I’m not a huge fan of romance, but I want Satoshi and Daisuke to share some delicate moonlit kiss. I want to see more of Daisuke defending Satoshi from his mother. I want to see another scene of Satoshi crying out, “why do you treat me so well?” and Daisuke answering, “because you’re my friend!” But his voice wavers on “friend,” because is that really all they are? Satoshi notices it too, is that all I am to you? I want them to slow dance, Daisuke’s head on Satoshi’s chest because he’s so much shorter. Smiling up at him with the purest heart. I want Satoshi to blush for the first time in his life when the much-smaller Daisuke picks him up bridal-style.

takt op.Destiny Anime Reveals New Visual and Cast Details

  MAPPA and MADHOUSE are combining powers to bring multimedia project takt op.Destiny to the small screen in a TV anime that kicks off in Japan on October 5. Before we watch legendary pieces of music come to life, a new key visual is here along with a bunch of character introductions.

    There's also some new info on theme songs. The opening, "takt," comes from ryo (supercell) feat. mafumafu x gaku. The ending, "SYMPHONIA," will be performed by Mika Nakashima, who previously sang the opening for DARLING in the FRANXX, among other things.

  In a world where music has almost been forgotten, takt op.Destiny tells the captivating story of several young women called "Musicart" who present the scores of legendary pieces of music in physical form. Together they fight to give the world back the joy and passion that music represents.

  Previously released trailer:

    Yuki Ito will direct the anime (storyboards on Attack on Titan Final Season; episodes 10, 15, 22 director on Demon Slayer) based on the original concept from DeNA and Sakura Wars video game creator Oji Hiroi. Kiyoko Yoshimura (The God of High School) will be providing the series composition, with Reiko Nagasawa (sub-character designer on Overlord Season 3) drawing the character design based on LAM's original characters. Yoshihiro Ike (Dororo) will be doing the music. The animation will be co-produced at MAPPA and MADHOUSE.
