//Y’know, thinking about the first dlc I played of Destiny being Witch Queen and honestly I think it’s my favorite. The seasons were fluid and well written, and the campaign had so much intriguing stuff going on that kept you guessing even to the end.

//I actually laugh at how it was playing Salem as my NewLight Warlock who went in having no idea what was going on, to actually enjoying the tasks Savathun set for us through Fynch, and feeling super shocked and kind of disappointed when Sav locked us in the attic like the naughty danger ferrets we were.

//I still think of the last fight, how much I wanted to yell at the screen my answers to her questions. And how each time I replay the Altars of truth, I imagine Salem, who had been on the hive-hate train at first until then got to hear things in Savathun’s own words. I imagine how melancholy he’d be realizing all this death, all these extinguished lights could’ve been avoided, just like the unnecessary cabal deaths—if they’d just been able to communicate instead of trying to be sneaky.

//I like to think he leaves things for her at the altars. Little totems that he carves and fills with light. Each one having a word on them that are his descriptions of Savathun. Mother. Riddle/Puzzle maker. Leader. Queen. Truth Keeper.

//I dunno why he’d leave them—maybe as a thank you for the puzzles - for something to solve instead of something to kill, recompense for what he’s learned from her, or his own way of trying to add his own definitions to her titles and open the ways for her to exist outside of lies and deceit.

//bc even though Salem can be a country bumpkin, he isn’t stupid and is very observant.

Legolas: well, “light” and “dark” are basically the way the elves are divided in those who don’t believe in the Valar, and those who do believe in the Valar. There are a few more distinctions, but that’s the gist of it. I, myself, along with my people and the avari, are all considered “dark elves” because we don’t believe in the valar. The elves who live here, such as the Noldor and the Sindar, do believe in the Valar.

Bby Aragorn: so those elves don’t like you bc you don’t believe in the same things they do?

Legolas: well, that, and bc they have a superiority complex.

Bby Aragorn: well that’s stupid. All of it is stupid. Those are stupid things to do for stupid reasons!

rid, im not joking when i say this is everything i want in a fanfic. like ex2l always gets me, and you legit mastered it with this one. something about right person wrong time just does it for me. that opening line was so simple but so so so beautiful:

"Love doesn't bloom during frigid winters."

and your ability to fully write in the pov of the character that you've crafted is nutty. like on the outside, it seems like a simple thing to do, but ik from experience that it's really not. like the way you perfectly represented oc's bleakness in the beginning through the word choices, that only shifts when taehyung is being discussed, is a1 storytelling. and same with him, like even when things are falling apart, the metaphor compares oc to a star, n that's how he sees her despite the circumstances. IM EMOTIONAL!!!

and idk dude i think i feel so strongly about this piece bc i relate to this oc sooo much. like the way ur desire to get out of ur current situation bleeds into every aspect of ur life n ruins relationships n u end up even worse than u started off in a lot of ways- NOT THIS FIC BEING A WHOLE HIT PIECE RID LMAO >:(
