Squeaky footsteps echo through empty halls as Stolas makes his way back to bed. He sighs, pulling his robe tighter around himself. When Stolas can't sleep, he walks around his home, checking up on the plants and grabbing himself a cup of water on the way. He just hated leaving you in that big bed all alone. What if you woke up and he wasn't there? As he walks back into your shared bedroom, he stops by your side of the bed. Stolas takes a few minutes to just observe you; the noises you make, how your lips and eyebrows twitch, and the way you move around, as if you can't get comfortable. A concerned look etches across Stolas' face. Setting his cup on the nightstand, he takes the sheets around you and tucks them closer. As soon as you're more comfortable, you begin to relax. Stolas kisses your forehead and settles back into bed, holding you close and careful not to disturb your slumber.

The sound of the television slowly begins to fade as you feel yourself falling asleep, nestled in bed between Fizz and Ozzie. The lull of their voices overlapping the television, the dim bedroom lights, and the softness of the blankets made it pretty difficult to resist falling asleep. As you drift off, you feel Fizz and Ozzie each combing a hand through your hair, whispering a soft "good night, sleep well." The two stay up a while longer, watching TV, flirting, and just talking. Eventually, as they get ready for bed, Fizz notices you beginning to stir and whimper in your sleep. He shoots a concerned look to Asmodeus, who gently kisses your forehead and tucks the blankets tighter around you. As you relax, Fizz and Ozzie lay down, scooting closer so that you're gently sandwiched between them. In time, all three of you are snoring, all snuggled up and sleeping contently.

Blitzø groans, rubbing his eyes and blinking them open. Once again, he can't sleep. Its not unexpected, but definitely frustrating. He turns over, facing you. Blitzø brushes a strand of hair out of your face before sitting up. He swings his legs over the side of the bed, looking back over his shoulder. On the other side of the bed, you were still sound asleep. Deciding he wants some water, Blitzø gets up, trying to stay quiet- only to trip over his own feet. He lands face first on the floor with a thud. He groans loudly, pushing himself up and brushing the dust off his clothes. That's when he hears soft whimpers and sheets rustling behind him. Blitzø turns around so quickly that he almost falls again- luckily he's able to catch himself on the headboard. He sees you tossing and turning- almost as if you're feeling around for him. Seeing your distress, Blitzø forgets all about the water and climbs back into bed, readjusting the blankets and laying down beside you holding your hand.

I love that Isabeau is the one to bring up the "what do we do if you die" conversation cause its a very good insight to his character at the very start of the game. Isabeau is practical, smart, and loves everyone dearly and wants to know how to help them when shit goes sideways. He's the one to ask about Bonnie too, which is a delightful read on how he thinks because everyone else shuts that down instantly as a "That wont happen and cant happen" but we see later in the game it can happen which is such a startling thing for a game to do but justifies the foreshadowing of Bonnie can die what do we do if that happens? Isabeau, despite everything, is also the one who gets to the heart of the matter even if its not something must people are willing to talk about. All without it being part of his friendquest, thats just him naturally. Which! Says so much about him and how he is! His character when its not about his relationship with Siffrin is a very intriguing thing because it feels like a very classic hard intellectual stance that's been softened after many years of learning to better communicate healthily with others. A reflection, if you will, of Odile but in a very drastic direction. I find him fascinating and I also want to scoop his brains out and study them under a microscope to see all his little brain thoughts.

i think ive been so enamoured with tragedy and unhappy endings recently because it's so common for us to take comfort in the idea that we're okay because we will be okay, you know, the whole "it'll be okay in the end and if it's not okay it's not the end" type thing, this desire to put our faith in things turning out eventually, and that's why people sometimes get upset if something doesn't have a happy ending that gives them closure. but i honestly think there's something equally or even more comforting in having to cope with the fact that in reality the happy ending can't always be counted on. in trying to accept that fact, you're sort of forced to find your comfort and meaning elsewhere, which is what tragedy is asking you to do. if you know a story is going to end badly, can you still invest in it? can you survive it for as long as you're asked to? because then you have to concede that the things that happen and the lessons you learn during the story still are meaningful and fulfilling even if they don't culminate. if the story is unfinished and the threads are loose and you don't get closure, can you still find a way to let this frustrating and unfinished experience mean something to you? you kind of have to. can you be okay with it if you aren't able to believe that things will be okay in the end? without looking forward, can you be okay right now

sorry but do you ever think about the fact that the bernard we have today is a direct amalgamation of everything that happened in his past and i know that sound like such an obvious statement to say but it actually kills me to know that you can draw a direct line from who he is today all the way back to that sixteen year old boy who watched his best friend bleed out. like it is the defining moment in his life. it fundamentally shaped who he is and the person he's become. he is the bernard we know and love not despite the grieves shooting but because of it. because the gangs all got together and shot up his school. because tim walked out of that room with nothing but a baseball bat. because his darla got shot. because he watched her gasp and cry as she died. because he watched the blood coagulate around the wound. because he sat there and held her hand as her life drained out of her. because he walked into school that day with a joke he knew would make her laugh and her nose would scrunch up and she'd snort a little and tim would roll his eyes at him and call him ridiculous and instead he walked out with a bloody white shirt, blood under his fingernails, and two friends less. because, even now, almost half a decade out from the shooting, he thinks that if he closes his eyes, he will always be that stupid, scared little sixteen year old, holding the cooling body of dead best friend.

I feel like there are 2 types of twst events that being the more serious ones like Glorious Masquerade and the sillier ones like White Rabbit Fest. And my gosh I love both so much!

"I swear to fucking Satan, I'm gonna punt a motherfucker into the next afterlife. UGH!!"

In the room over, you can hear Loona's muffled screams- and what sounds like a garbage can being kicked around. After a good fifteen minutes of what can only be described as the sounds of pure rage, it seems Loona tires herself out- at least physically. You hear a knock on the door to your office, and Loona enters when she hears your affirmative, "Come in."

Loona trudges into the room wiping her face, eyes strained from crying. At first, she whips around, ready to slam the door before taking a breath and closing it gently. She slumps into the chair across from you, throwing her head back and groaning. For a moment neither of you speak up. Then, Loona lifts her head and somewhat straightens her posture.

"I'm uh.. Sorry if you heard any of that. It's been.. ugh. It's been a day, you know, " she growls, pulling a box of cigarettes and a lighter out of her pocket. Loona huffs, tapping one out of the box. "Y'know, I really fucking try at this job and nobody- nobody takes me seriously! I'm just 'Blitzø"s hellhound,' and do you know how infuriating that is?"

She takes the cigarette between her fingers, lifting it to her mouth and lighting it. Loona takes a long drag before leaning back and puffing the smoke out toward the ceiling. "I don't know.. It's so fucking frustrating to not be seen by anyone" she sits up quickly, looking at you, "you don't do that though! You get me. And you're like, one of the only ones who gets me. And that's nice, but sometimes.. I wish I had more people who got me. You know?" She takes another drag.

You take a moment, thinking of what to say; wanting to offer comfort, but not wanting to invalidate how Loona feels. . "Yeah, no matter how much I love you- and I love you a lot," you wink, "you deserve to have more people who can understand an support you. I totally get what you mean," you say. You sit back in your chair, gesturing to the cigarette between Loona's fingers. "Now put that out before you set off the fire alarm," you chide playfully.

"Shit- sorry," Loona hurriedly puts the cigarette out, tossing it into the trash can. "And um.." She scoots to the edge of her seat, tail swaying gently. "Thanks for listening to me.."

"Anytime."

You and Loona sit in your office, finding comfort with one another. There's no need to rush to a solution. No one gets anywhere being told to just "cheer up". So for a while you sit together, sharing a burden.

we know that jason isn't really one to celebrate his birthday and doesn't make too much of a big deal of it, and i have the feeling that comes from camp jupiter. they just seem so much more uptight, and jason never really got the chance to have the experience of just receiving something out of nowhere. he's always had to work for everything.

it's not that he's never received a gift before, he and reyna would always get each other birthday and christmas presents, but that was because they had years of built up respect for each other.

when he got a gift from you, someone he didn't have to prove himself to, he just became so overwhelmed with gratitude and love that he just burst into tears.

he covered your face in kisses and quick "i love you's" as tears of joy streamed down his face.

[TW: grooming] Gentle reminder that Luke castellan was a 19 year old adult going after a 14 year old Silena, emotionally manipulating her and basically grooming her into giving him information. (Luke was said to have recruited Silena sometime after he left chb, which is basically the ending of TLT and Silena was 14 in TLT while Luke was 19) and continued to do so for 4 YEARS (the time between TLT and TLO is 4 years, and Silena only stopped falling into the trap after Charlie died, which was in TLO)

I hope the pjo timeline is an eye opener for the naive as fuck fans defending and justifying Luke's behaviour and having the audacity to deny that Silena was indeed groomed.

There's a difference between appreciating well written complex characters vs actually glossing and meat riding their problematic and questionable behaviour. A huge fucking difference. I think Luke is a good written character, but seeing the amount of fans justifying him being a creep scares me.

"Grooming" (I took the definition straight out of the internet for the detectives that will probably scrutinize and chew on my post lmao) is when someone builds a relationship, trust and emotional connection with a child or young person so they can manipulate, exploit and abuse them.

Luke took advantage of Silena to BOTH manipulate AND exploit her for information.

Don't even get me started on the "he had a terrible home life, he was traumatized as a kid, what else can you expect?" yeah he was, but how was that Silena's fault? She shouldn't have to be taken advantage of , suffer without even realizing it, and pay the price to Luke's insanity, just because Luke had internalized issues like other demigods did?? How is that a fucking excuse??

Look me in the eye and tell me that Luke was "so hot because of how crazy, messed up and unhinged he is"
