im so fucking tired of the disrespect gifmakers get on the gifmaker website
#kai.txt#negativity tw#(sorry these are gonna be a lot of tags. i have a lot of feelings and i dont know where else to put them)#we make gifs and nobody reblogs them#when they do get reblogged all people want to tell you is that your gifs arent good enough to them and rip it to shreds#'you're missing x' 'why didnt you do y' 'if i made this i would have abc' 'hey op ur wrong and this is why' 'i dont like this op'#reposters dont even reblog your fucking gifset but they'll save your gifs to repost later asking for how to do something#that they could have asked you how to do in the fucking first place#we reblog ourselves constantly because nobody else will and maybe to make our work look like it has more notes than it does#to make ourselves feel better about the lack of interaction we're getting#and then when we TALK about this frustration we have. people who are too afraid to say it to our faces#go on anon in our askboxes and tell us how we're somehow selfish for wanting people to interact with the sets#that we spent time on. hours. days. WEEKS in some cases#or we get anons who tell us the reason we dont have notes are because we arent good at gifmaking in the first place#but this is all on anon. because they're too scared to tell it to our faces#they're too scared for us to see that they ARENT a gifmaker and that they dont know how to do it any better either#they dont see us as people doing something we love as a hobby. they see us as content machines that dance like court jesters#im just so fucking tired of the disrespect#and this sentiment goes for more than just gifmakers. graphicmakers. artists. literally any creative hobby shared on this site#we get treated like shit and for what? literally for fucking what.

atwow hot take:
if jake had said his "son for a son" shit out loud and spider had heard him, he would have been so beyond pissed, he would be seeing red.
spider loved his little siblings so much, neteyam included, even after they grew apart. he loved them like they were his own blood and protected them like they were too (we see a lot more of them together in the comics, where spider is the big brother without a doubt). neteyam's death most certainly rocked him hard, even if he hasn't really been able to show it (how could he? he's already going through all the shit with his dad and the RDA and their nonsense, he can't grieve around neytiri, he's just so tired after it all. he doesn't have the room or the energy to grieve yet)
so if jake had the audacity to say that to/around spider not even a few hours after he watched his little brother get shot after coming to save him, after he stared at the bullet hole in his back, after he watched him take his last breaths, after he watched the light leave his eyes, after he watched his little brother die for him; if he said that while his little brother's body lay in a pool of his own blood not even ten feet away, not even cold yet, blood still clinging to his chest, the scent of it still filling the air: he would have lost his shit.
because the disrespect for his brother is wild.
jake was an active player in spider's neglect and abuse for the last 16 years, he let it happen, he helped it happen. he tried to send spider with the humans, tried to take him away from his siblings, from the forests, from eywa to live with his foster family that didn't love him (not to mention Nash was an asswipe of epic proportions) and the RDA of all people. he had referred to spider as a stray animal since he was little. he was the reason spiders life was hell.
and after all that, years and years of putting him in shit positions and allowing him to suffer the fate of being forever unloved and uncared for (by an adult authority figure, cause I love the kids, but they don't make up for the gap left by a parent), this is what it took for jake to care about him? his little brother had to die in front of him first? he had to be traded out to fill the space of a corpse, to fill in the gap left by his little brother's death?
in canon, spider was in deep in shock with nothing to break him from it, he wasn't in the place to really think about any of it, and I'm sure we're gonna see this anger in the coming movies, but if jake had said it out loud, that would have been enough to snap spider right out of it, and he would have given jake a piece of his mind, I just know it.
#he loves neteyam too much to let jake do that. to say that. he'd never allow it.#spider is such a good big brother. he loves his siblings too much.#if jake had said that to his face there would have been hell to pay. regardless of how out of it spider was with shock/grief/pure exhaustio#spider doesn't even care about the disrespect being done to him by that statement. he just cares about neteyam.#cause how could a father say that? how could he just move on. fill the gap with a “stray” as he puts it. take him in after all he'd done to#him? it wasn't fair#it wasn't fair to him and it most certainly wasn't fair to neteyam#I love spider. he deserves a family that loves him and wants him. he wants it. but this is not what either of us asked for.#that line has always rubbed me wrong. and it would have rubbed spi wrong too. I just know it.#I really hope we see spider express his rightful anger/disgust to this whole thing next movie#though I worry he will be too busy feeling guilty over everything and feeling like he just has to be grateful. but one can hope.#he deserves to be angry#and his dynamic with neteyam deserves to be explored. cause its a crime that it was ignored in the movie.#avatar 2#avatar the way of water#spider socorro#miles spider socorro#miles socorro#neteyam#neteyam sully#neteyam te suli tsyeyk'itan#jake sully#I wanna punch that man so hard istg. I can't with him. I won't say I hate him. but lord have mercy I can't with him.#my baby boys deserved better#spider was neteyam's big brother. that's my agenda#we need to talk about them more

I really don't want to be rude and pile on someone else's post so I'm going to say this here instead.
I think a lot of people forget that the most important part of narrative analysis is that all parts of a story -- including the characters -- are just tools. The only ones making the decisions are the developers and the writers. Childe didn't "need" to be a McGuffin. It was a deliberate choice made by the MiHoYo team, and it was arguably a bad one.
The entire plot of Fontaine would have gone just as smoothly without Childe, without the whale, and without Skirk. That is the point of a McGuffin, to be an object. 'Nothing' would have done just as well. The flood waters could have risen due to the "Heavenly Principles" or magic or anything else really. Remuria is right there. The Institute is right there. A lot of unstable ancient technology is just meandering about. There was a lot of other lore to work with.
The anger isn't just that Childe "wasn't the main character". It's that he was heavily advertised as one. Same with Skirk. The players were sold on whisps of story and Abyss lore and then his role was reduced to worse than nothing.
Skirk has very little to say. What little of substance she does say could have more easily and more appropriately have been provided by Focalors (during her final words to Neuv). "Don't trust the Heavenly Principles. Don't trust their gifts or creations." It would have been more impactful and emotional. As a final warning, Neuv would have taken all of it to heart. It's weird he trusted Skirk at all.
The developers hamfisted these characters in there as a set-up for things to come and it disrupts the rest of the Fontaine plot. There are so many Fontaine specific plot threads that get no screen time because they really wanted that whale on camera. We could have helped Wrio pilot that ark. We could have had a sailing mini game.
Whale plot is simultaneously too much to just be set-up and too little to be relevant. It's clunky. It's disjointed. It's like dropping two boxes of puzzles and getting the pieces mixed up.
If they really, really needed the set-up, then a lot of this could have been fixed with minor edits:
Don't talk to Skirk. Show her grabbing the boy and the whale and leaving. Mysterious! Intriguing! Who was that? Was that the Skirk? Wow! She sure can grab boys and whales and jump through magic portals. (Also, don't fucking yeet the boy. What the fuck was that disrespectful mess? After all that bullshit you think that's funny?)
Don't tell us that the boy is in Snezhnaya for some reason. It makes no sense that Childe reappears off-screen and then gets shipped off to a different country to heal. Not after Neuv just called him a hero. Not after he just helped save Fontaine. They would have taken care of him. Moving injured people is a bad idea. Immersion breaking.
And if the entire point was to set him up for a future event maybe let the Traveler care just a little bit more about Childe so it feels more like his presence mattered. Like we, the audience, should care about what is happening to him. Which is to say don't fucking give his vision away to someone Childe does not trust.
So much of this makes no narrative sense it's mind boggling.
It's lining the path with breadcrumbs and hoping the birdies come biting for the next time 'round. It's gacha game storytelling is what it is. Let's not pretend otherwise.

Bendy And The Power Of Representation
So those graphic novel pages huh? Seems I posted my cover post at just the right time because literally minutes after I was informed the preview pages came out and uh. This is Buddy and Norman!
Tumblr media
Oh dear... I'll put the full graphic novel pages down below but I have so much to say on how awful this is it'll need several posts. However, right now I want to mostly talk about representation and briefly touch on why it's so damn important + inform others about the current shit Mike and Meatly are saying about the books n such.
Now note: All the things I'm saying below are based on my personal experience, maybe some people don't care about seeing the representation of their identities in the media they consume. Maybe some will think I'm merely being dramatic and I might be but I'm not lying when I say I personally believe being represented and seen in the media you consume can be one of the most wonderful feelings in the world.
Look I'm not here to argue with people who think that Norman in particular was never meant to be a person of color, I would argue he is very coded but the points I'm making here are not about how Norman particularly had to be black. The point I want to make is the lack of diversity in our cast in general and how Norman's design has heavily dwindled it considering most people [including myself] rightfully assumed he was at least one of three black characters in our cast. Not according to this though and looking at the the rest of the pages our chances of seeing any kind of decent diverse character designs dwindle more.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So firstly... Buddy a character who has been said to experience discrimination for being Jewish, lacks any kind of ethnic features at all. That's... Cool but yeah I think this shows a rather grim future for the character designs as a whole.
Also, Norman... As I mentioned he was largely assumed to be black due to his southern dialect, his voice, and other factors. But nope, he's a generic white guy. With... Gross looking hair tbh...
Sadly this is not the first time the topic of poor representation has come up concerning Bendy either.
Tumblr media
[note how he disregarded the other mentioned minorities and specifically cites LGBTQ+ characters]
This sucks as a response but sadly considering Mike's recent behavior it seems to fall in line with the Bendy team's general lack of care towards representing anyone who isn't straight and white.
So how did Mike respond to all of this? Well...
Tumblr media
TDLR - "Who cares if the Graphic Novel we're selling to our fans for full price sucks, we now no longer consider the books canon."
This is horrible, I know Mike and Meatly are only really in this for the money, the fact BATIM is in the state that it is proved that, but they really couldn't have been less obvious about it?
So basically when it benefited them, AKA when it meant people would have to buy the books to understand important lore like Boris' identity... [the character you spend all of chapter 4 trying to rescue] They were considered canon... At least the author sure thought so.
Tumblr media
Hell even in the tweet Meatly made here he doesn't say the books aren't canon, he just says they're not needed to understand Bendy's world. Now Mike is using that as a shield instead of doing the right thing and saying "You're right, the poc in our fanbase deserve better we'll have it fixed right away!" Like most reasonable people would considering how his studio has literally been accused of bigotry, poor rep, and general lack of diversity before. Why risk making more people avoid this franchise?
Also just... Imagine how insulting it would be to be an author who helps flesh out so much of this world and gives its characters depth like NONE of the games have managed to do, filling in plot holes, creating a timeline for events, etc... Then because they couldn't bother to change the graphic novel for ur story to be better they instead throw out all ur writing and declare it non-canon.
If I were her to put it bluntly I'd feel insulted and horrible. Why make her do all the work of making sure her works align with the timeline and game's canon if they're not part of it?
I can't speak for her obviously but Meatly and Mike know of her account, so speaking out against this could very much risk her being fired or at least not allowed to work on Bendy anymore... So I would take all her tweets on this situation with a grain of salt. She very much is not in a position where she could be honest if she was against this.
So with all that history now, the question I'm sure many are wondering is... Why does this even matter? Who cares how diverse the characters are when it doesn't affect the story?
Well for one thing, if you think like that consider having more empathy for your fellow human beings but also it does affect the story. One of DCTL's themes is about the bigotry of the period it is set in.
Now the Bendy team has managed to make the discussion of this book centering around their bigotry which is ironic in a way I almost find funny... Though this entire thing is just a bit too hurtful and upsetting to find any humor in, at least for me...
But another thing is representation can bring people such joy when it's done with care. It really shouldn't be understated how far it can go to make people feel more comfortable in their own sense of self to have a franchise choose to represent them and their experiences. I know this from personal experience.
Now if you've been following me for a while, you know I'm a big fan of Transformers. I no longer engage with it much due to baggage from the fandom's awful treatment of me, but before I left I remember being able to witness the release of Transformers: Earthspark first few episodes.
These introduced the Maltos the family who meets the Transformers and serve as our protagonists and guess what?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's a family of Filipinos!
Now look I'm not Filipino, but I am half Mexican and I have a lot of love for that part of me. So seeing the representation of any Spanish culture in this franchise I loved made me so happy! I remember just watching the first episode I was happily telling my partner how fun it was to see people like me and my family in a world I love!!
But it didn't end with the Maltos in fact... There was another character who spoke to me, their name was Nightshade. Their pronouns are They/Them and they spoke about it on the show! Not just mentioning it and moving on but actually sitting down to speak about their experiences...
This clip in particular really turned them into an absolute favorite among fans and well... I'll let you see it for yourself.
This scene... Fills me with a joy I cannot describe. It is the creators of a franchise I love telling me they see people like me and find the stories of people like me important enough to include in this series. There really is nothing like being able to say there are Non-Binary characters in a franchise I have so much love for. I was far from the only one too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is amazing, this is wonderful, this clip and character were moving to so so many people and...
This is a joy the Bendy creators have no interest in giving their audience. They don't care how you feel as a queer and/or black person, which... Hurts...
I... Discovered I was trans while in the Bendy community... It was where I learned the word Non-Binary and started using it for myself. To me Bendy will always have that connection... But the devs themselves seem to hate the idea of being forced to actually represent that in their games... And I still haven't really gotten over that pain or betrayal if I'm being honest.
So...
With Norman now being portrayed as white here, we are down to two black characters. Thomas [who Meatly has claimed is white in the past] based on a vague conversation with Sammy in DCTL they could easily ignore... And Jacob.... A book exclusive character which according to Mike means he is non-canon.
If we don't count Thomas' vague talk with Sammy about disrespect as confirmation he's black [which the devs don't seem to think so] then we have one black character in all of Bendy... And he recently got retconned into non-existence. Great.
Look... The Bendy fanbase has always been full of wonderfully diverse designs for the staff and even more diverse people creating them. Bendy's fandom was built with the work of queer people from all kinds of places.
If the Bendy team continues to show how little they care for anyone who isn't straight or white... I wonder who they are counting on to buy this book or in general financially support their franchise?
I know right now, I am furious, I am hurt and I most certainly don't feel like buying a book that's currently just a massive fuck you to the fans and I hope I've expressed why I feel this way in an easy-to-understand way here...
Either way, I will not be forgetting this anytime soon and I hope the fanbase does the same. Maybe just maybe, if there's enough backlash to this series of horrible decisions they'll learn better.
Right now, it's kinda of our only hope for a better future, and if you know any poc who are into Bendy right now... Maybe consider making sure they're feeling okay.
I know from experience how much this sort of thing hurts, to have the creators of a world you love straight up tell you they don't intend to fix the fact no one in their stories represents your identity or life...
What I'm trying to say is...
This is a really low point for Bendy and its fans... Even more for the poc who have to witness such ignorant and careless attitudes from Mike and Meatly towards their feelings.
Please don't forget them when you discuss these tweets or this situation. That's exactly what Mike and Meatly want right now.
For them to be unrepresented and therefore... Unheard.

Alo! I wonder how you make sure who is minor and who are 18+? Does Tumblr shows users’ age or?
(pls see my pt.2 on this post for more info)
it's tedious, but basically i check the bios/carrds/pinned nav posts a user might have on their blog for an age! only if it's available and the user listed it themselves. tumblr doesn't give info like that and i'm not out here trying to stalk ppl bAHAHA. i just do a quick tap and then leave if i see 18+ or not at all.
i'm not that strict that i also block ageless/blank blogs bc i'm assuming that you're being accountable, i use the honor code tbh. some blogs do block those types of users, some don't. it's a matter of preference and sticking to boundaries. i respect privacy and don't go around fact checking ppl tbh, so a quick glance is all i give. it's not like i can ask for proof either bc tbh that's overstepping ny bounds. all i do is expect that ppl respect my boundaries and i respect theirs.
however, for some odd reason there are minors who are very proud to let it be known that they are under 18 and keep interacting with my and other creator's nsfw/mdni posts. having the age in the bio is not a bad thing, but having to see that 13-16yos especially are deciding to interact with my work that is not catered to them? my content is not made for them and i am not catering a safe space for them. seeing minors engage with my posts/blog that has mdni is kind of like a slap to the face saying "i'm here anyways hahaha". some writers have even gotten dms/asks with those bold and dumb enough to do that.
for the most part, i dutifully check those who follow me since those who only give my works a like might have just seen me once and scrolled away. i've gotten quite lucky somehow by clicking on users who have liked my work and i see boom! under 18. again, i'm really only clicking on ppl who are in my notifs. not all of my likes i check bc there are too many in oddly organized ways (thanks to tumblr's interface) but sometimes i do 🤷‍♀️
bahaha elli rant over but at the end of the day, pls keep yourselves accountable and engage respectfully. i and many other writers appreciate the support you're willing to give us. but truly, minors, this is no space for you.
edit: i am so sincerely grateful for ppl who like my work and want to support me or keep up with me, but finding out that my content is being accessed by a minor feels violating.
i know that minors access nsfw posts, i'd be dumb not to, but letting us know that you are is a bold move. that is not very "mature" for inserting yourself into a space intended for mature audiences.

really interesting to me that in response to zar saying he was stepping back from the fandom and would prefer his works remain inaccessible, i’ve seen three/four responses:
omg this is awful for me (usually with a comment about how they were reading something and hadn’t finished it)
i totally understand zar’s decision, this is really unfortunate that he felt this way
i’m so confused, what did the fandom DO to him
people explicitly going against what was in his post that said he was making his works inaccessible by sharing links to it via google drive. after he’d taken them down.
I’ll give the folks with the number three response the benefit of the doubt that not all of them are on tumblr/twitter/marauderstok etc all the time, but…
Y’all really can’t play the “who did this?? what did they do??” card when you’re holding the smoking gun of your “here’s a link to all of Zar’s works saved on google docs” post.
Tumblr media
All jokes aside—
I’ve spoken about this time and again, but authors aren’t machines who exist to produce works for readers—they’re human beings! They have lives! They have other things to worry about! And when fandom becomes Too Much in one way or another, plenty of them will leave because it’s not worth the trouble.
So if you’re devastated that zar “burned down the library of alexandria,” by deleting his works…consider what might have gotten him there?
Consider that he didn’t say “i’m bored of writing” in his post, but instead “its kind of really miserable here, and im having personal issues with it”
Consider! That Authors Deserve to be Treated Respectfully
and maybe don’t go peddling PDFs/Google Docs of their works if they’ve explicitly asked for that not to occur, for fuck’s sake
It’s also really disheartening to see that the majority of the response has largely been “my favorite fics are gone!” instead of “holy shit, one of the bigger authors in this fandom at present has been driven to delete their works.”
The fics disappearing?
Sad, I get it.
A real life person feeling so miserable about engaging with a community that they once found camaraderie and friendship in that they decide to remove themself and all of their works? from it?
A bit worse, respectfully.
I don’t know how many times we as authors have to say that some aspects of this community are shitty, or have to acknowledge that there are absolutely social politics at play in a fucking fandom space that’s meant to be stress-relieving.
How many ways do we need to say that we hate seeing people going directly against the things we’ve asked—putting fics on goodreads/storygraph/amazon, sending our works to Lulus for printing, redistributing our works in PDFs after we’ve taken them down—for the general community of readers to understand that we’re tired of this?
Actions have consequences, and while the direct impact of something like this happening is that a bunch of people are (already) posting about how sad they are that these fics are gone, or being angry with Zar for making a choice he felt was best for him…
The bigger picture? The one that the commodification of fics makes it hard to see?
You are slowly but surely excising authors from this community—whether by being the purity police, harassing authors, making their lives miserable on social media—and one day, you’ll find yourself saying “why aren’t there any good writers anymore?” (which…folks are already saying!)
It won’t be because they don’t/didn’t exist. It’ll be because they heard the screams and turned tail before they had to face whatever vitriol their peers were enduring.

Day eleven, almost at the end, now all that's left is to check up on the oh so flammable Gävle Goat! Yall know I'm very much in the give Reo therapy club, so here we are, come on, he deserves love and support. Also, yes, I have a very casual relationship with my father, why you ask?
summary. when take the holiday to finally bring Reo to meet your father, he is overjoyed - but at the same time, he is just as anxious. A part of him insists that your father won't like him, despite your assurance that everything will be just fine. Still, he worries, but maybe he just has to accept that some things are worse in his head than they are in reality.
pairing. Reo Mikage x Fem!Reader
wordcount. 739 words
Tumblr media
11. Family Christmas Dinner - Reo Mikage
"But what if he doesn't like me?" Reo whined as you pulled him down the snowy street. "I mean, I'm sure he knows you c-"
"Reo," you cut him off, turning to him and taking his hands in yours, "love, you are getting caught up in your thoughts. What did your therapist say about that?"
"Ah," he paused, sighing before looking up at you. "That I should focus on what is real."
"Right," you assured him, squeezing his hand in support, "and in this moment, what is real?"
"The birds in that tree, the snow on the ground, you," Reo looked around, counting the things surrounding him until his eyes met yours again, his hands returning your gentle squeeze.
"Good, good," you soothed him, taking one step closer so your faces almost touched. "Besides, if my father decides he doesn't like you, he can take that up with me. This is my life, he doesn't get to make the choices, and I love you."
You were right, he knew it, and despite doubts still swimming in his mind, Reo felt safer by your side. When you'd first brought up the idea of spending Christmas with your father - since this year his wife would be spending the holiday with her daughters - he was equal amounts excited and terrified.
Since you lived far from your father, and you were always so busy, he hadn't had the chance to reach this milestone in your relationship yet. So he was happy, overjoyed, but he still couldn't help the fear that he would cause a bad impression.
"I know, but," he grumbled, biting his lip as you came to the front door, "you should have let me buy a better gift at least."
"Reo," you laughed, shaking your head as you pushed the key in the door, "that would make my dad think you believe you can buy people with money. That wouldn't have helped your case. Now, we are going in."
You waited for him to nod before opening the door, calling out for your father once safely inside. From the stairs to your side came your father, poking fun at the both of you for dressing so nicely when you'd just be spending the day indoors with him.
You rolled your eyes and snapped back, telling him he should dress a bit better for the holiday, before coming up to him for a hug. It was shocking to see the casualty of your relationship, but at the same time it was soothing, the type of easy affection Reo had never known in his family.
But before the thoughts of his family could dominate his mind, Reo felt himself being pulled back to earth, pulled by your father into a hug that he awkwardly tried to reciprocate as you scolded the old man for not respecting people's spaces. When your father pulled back and rolled his eyes, Reo could clearly see how you two resembled each other in more than just appearances. Quickly, you stepped in, getting the introductions out of the way.
In all truth, Reo had come ready to have to try his best to impress your father, he'd come ready to try and charm his way out of a judgmental stare. What he didn't expect - despite your how you'd told him before - was to find a laid back man who poked fun at Reo whenever he'd be at a loss for words and who acted as if he was of as little importance as any other person on the street. In a way, that made him feel more at home than he could ever have imagined.
"And here I thought she was ashamed of me or something, 'cause she never brought you around," your father laughed as you shook your head with a groan.
There was a moment of pause, as the words spoken as a joke resonated deep within Reo. But quickly he laughed along, a genuine, true laugh. He could still remember the difficult nights, where he sat alone thinking the same thing - that he hadn't met your family yet, because you felt ashamed of him.
But now he could see it wasn't true. Where he'd come anxious, expecting a protective father who knew Reo wasn't good enough, he found a man who trusted his daughter's choices, and welcomed him like family. Yeah, maybe you - and his therapist - were right, some disasters really only exist in his mind.

Your tag saying Mikan is gonna have it rough has me worried. She’s already been through enough! I mean they all have but especially her! I don’t even want to imagine what her haunting is like!
there's no metric for suffering so it's not like she literally has more bad than the boys. I just mean that, to me, things pertaining to childbirth and the menstrual cycle is horror in itself so it hits harder

TW: mention of r*pe, sl*t-shaming and de*th treats
At this point I want to ask Gwynriels and Eluciens if they really ship these couples because they like them, like the potential they have, how their story can be healing & inspiring to so many OR you're just here to prove E/riels being in the wrong and insist on how they're not endgame?
Your whole blog is for "what that person said", "what the other did", debunk their theories, arguing the same subject all over again every few days...
Don't you get tired? What happened to enjoy your ship? Making headcanon, making meme, writing fanfics, drawing fanarts?
This has nothing to do with being passionate. You can be passionate but try to enjoy your ship. Not arguing all the fkn time that none of the sides would accept the words of the other... WHAT'S THE POINT?
They're insecure enough to come to G and E tags to argue with you but why you bother to even form an answer? If they're here to start a fight with you, just block them! Don't answer them. Leave them hanging. Why do you care what they think? They're in the tags to feel validated for their opinion but we know they're in a wrong place so put them out of their misery and block them... (I can't stress this enough BLOCK THEM. God knows how many I did in the past year and I wasn't even active)
All the G and E tags are about how E/riels won't happen and how they're are rude and disrespectful...
Just leave them alone, let them be in their own delusion bubble and just wait until sjm confirm what the next book is about. If it's as we predicted based on everything we've seen so far that would be an answer enough to all their disrespects, de*th treats, calling us misogynist, sl*t shaming and telling us they hope we get r*pe just like Gwyn did...
And if it's not, if somehow E/riel happened to be endgame, that's not the end of the world. You can still ship them because there's no rule on how you HAVE to ship what the author wrote. Canon is a decision the author takes but you can disagree and write your own version, make your own headcanon. That's the beauty of shipping two imaginary character!!
But IF you actually ship them, not just to prove that side of the fandom wrong...
I think everyone should ask themselves that "will I still ship Gwynriel/Elucien even if they're not endgame?"
Because right now it looks like a competition...
ps: if E/riel is endgame then karma will get to them another way and if it's not that should be a karma enough for all the foul things they called/said to us.

Daily reminder that most of the sect members follow their sect leaders because they were born to that sect, or that sect was stable and powerful enough to provide them with security, and the Wen Remnants followed Wei Wuxian even though they were afraid of him because that was their only option, but the YMJ members that followed Jiang Cheng ever since the Sunshot Campaign freely CHOSE to do so. He was 17. And an extremely traumatized seventeen-year-old at that. He was simultaneously looking for his brother and participating in a war while rebuilding his sect. Lotus Pier was destroyed. There were only 3 people left of the YMJ sect (2 as far as they knew with WWX missing.) The sect was brought to ruins. The YMJ sect couldn't have had much riches left. But the new sect (and they were enough for YMJ to be called a sect again) CHOSE to follow Jiang Cheng.
