how is zombie by the cranberries based? i always interpreted it as being very dismissive towards the victims of british imperialism in ireland esp. coming from a wealthy irish girl who never had to deal with the realities of The Troubles and saw the IRA as needlessly violent (non-based take.)

😭😭 i just meant the kid knowing a cranberries song well enough to sing the words at four was based. bc of that thing i rb’d about worrying about ur kid having basic music taste (baby shark). which was a joke. i would have said the same thing if the kid sang idk. nirvana.

if u want me to speak on my opinions on the song i barely have one. i think it sounds good even if the guitar is a bit samey. i think it is kind of not a helpful commentary but i don’t really think it matters in the grand scheme of anything. like either people think it is a good song to listen to or they roll their eyes. Sorry. again i dont really have an opinion this literally was not about that. to type the sentence i did not think the song was “based”

I don't know how many times we have to say this but this is because the United States of America does not have public transit in any form that a European would recognize as such outside of a few very small, highly-dense municipal locations like NYC and Chicago, and having used both those systems and the U-Bahn i can firmly assert that the U-Bahn blows American subways into smithereens. we especially do not have accessible interstate passenger train service outside of that one commuter Amtrak loop in the northeast. the country is designed to force its citizens to use cars and only cars, and the government has made it policy to incentivize car ownership since the 1940s and punish any other form of transit, including just walking around. do you understand? the vast majority of roads here do not have bike lanes. when we do have bike lanes they are not protected by a curb or divider, they are just white lines painted on the asphalt. you will regularly encounter roads and streets--inside of cities and suburbs, not just in rural areas--that do not have sidewalks

Okay, so first of all Dan would like to say it’s not his fault. Ellie was the one to bring some unknown object into the speeder and Jazz was the one driving. Or had Sam been driving- didn’t matter! It wasn’t his fault, he wasn’t the one shooting at them, he wasn’t the one to break whatever, he was not the one to open a stupid portal, and so it wasn’t his fault! 

So why is he now like, five years old, and why is the speeder crashed in some sort of corn field. Why is everyone- except for Jazz whose now like six- also like three at most?! And- oh fuck the door just opened and… okay that’s a kid. Like, nine at most. 

A kid and an adult, who he hadn’t noticed at first so again, it’s not his fault if he hissed at them and tried to hide his not-siblings behind him. It’s also not fair they’re apparently stuck to ghost speak for who knows how long, but at least they can understand the people.
