#school mention

We’re on our way to our high school graduation and it’s making us think about our alterhuman awakening back in freshman/sophomore year

Back then we were in a rough spot and weren’t even sure if we were gonna make it through the year. Discovering our alterhumanity and this community was one of the main things that got us out of our depression and has helped us deal with it since.

And here we are now, accepted to an honors college and about to officially graduate. Comfortably draconic and plural, and planning on being at least somewhat open about it once we’re there.

I guess this is our way of showing to the world (at least here on tumblr) that we alterhumans and nonhumans can and do succeed in life. My classmates have no clue that they’re graduating alongside dragons and other creatures and beings in our system, but we’re here. We exist, and so does every other alterhuman out there working their way through whatever stage of life they’re at.

Sorry if this is worded weird; we didn’t really plan this post out or anything lol

You and your F/O are at the cafeteria/ canteen of your workplace/ school/ college

You brought your mobility aid and didn’t have time to put it away/ store it someplace before your F/O talked you into getting lunch with them

When the two of you reach the meal trays, you pause

You need both hands to carry a tray but your mobility aid is taking up at least one of your arms

Your F/O gently reaches for your aid, stopping short, “Okay if I take this? You’d carry the tray.”

You decide to let them take a tray and just put your meal and silverware on it next to theirs

Or you feel steady enough and comfortable handing off your mobility aid, so your F/O takes it and stays close by while you collect both your meals

As soon as you put down the meal tray, your F/O is handing back your mobility aid. Not mentioning it as the two of you sit down and divide the two sets of silverware and plates

ALRIGHT EVERYONE FUCK OFF I HAVE THE BEST COOKIE RECIPE MY TEACHERS AT SCHOOL ASKED ME FOR IT AND ITS WHAT GOT ME MY 'A' IN MATH AND HISTORY EVEN THOUGH I DID NONE OF THE WORK AND NEVER SHOWED UP SO BUCKLE DOWN AND TAKE NOTES YA CUNTS

1/2 a cup of brown sugar

1/2 cup of caster sugar

150g or softened/melted butter

MIX THAT SHUT UP

put however much honey your heart desires(maybe not too much though, the flavour is meant to be subtle)

And then put some lavender extract into it or whatever you got. I got lavender infused honey, so I just use that.

Then 1 whole egg and mix, and then 1 and 3/4 cup of flour. Mix that up and separate into balls put on baking tray and stick them in the oven that's been preheated to 180°c. Take em out after 15 minutes and BAM!! I CAN GARINTEE THAT THESE ARE THE BOMB

LIKE I SAID, I MADE EM FOR MY TEACHERS AS BRIBERY AND I DID NONE OF THE WORK BUT YOU KNOW WHAT? 'A'S ALL AROUND BECAUSE THEY REMEMBERD THESE BOMBASS COOKIES

In the midst of the horrors of sleep last night part of one of my dreams was a nurse leading me to a support group and we get there and it’s a bunch of people who hated me in high school. And I sit down. And the nurse asks “so how long have you been abusing dog absinthe?” Objectively hilarious. Absinthe for dogs of course. Very important to not take it from the dogs.
