okay but can we normalise post-exam anxiety??
the exam is done. the assignment is handed in. but you’re still stressed. you still have anxiety attacks over it. you still cry about it. you stay up late wondering if you did enough every night until you get your marks back. you did all that you could do, and it’s out of your control yet you still worry. cause if it happens to me, I can’t be the only one… right?

im stress sick and it is not fun (not that it would be).
the thing about stress sickness is you really cant do anything. you have to let your body and mind rest and reset in order to get better quickly. and even though i would enjoy playing some sort of video game or something i can barely really get myself to move much beyond basic needs.
i technically have a presentation today, but honestly i'm skipping class i think. i just feel too sick and overwhelmed by it all, and would rather spend today catching up on homework than sitting through presentations and being anxious and icky feeling.
i know my classmates wont blame me, but i still feel bad that i wont be there for them, even tho they dont even expect me to. i care about them and i dont wanna see them being torn apart by our professors anymore tbh. i just cant handle it. i wish i didnt care, but i do, i care so much and its in my nature to care.

stress causes different problems when you have an underlying mental health condition (or multiple). some people get worried about an assignment - others have anxiety attacks, flashbacks, depressive episodes, dissociation or psychosis. point being, don’t judge people for "overreacting" to what is generally considered a minor stressor. stress is different for different people.

I'm smart I promise I am,
But when my dad grimaces at the b's on my report card peeking out between the a's
or when I cry at the table while my mom explains the math problem for the 100th time
I feel like the idiot of the year
I fail math test after test and drown in my assignments
Deadlines creep out like monsters under my bed, and my spinning brain barely has time to pray that the teacher spares me
Every day, another email begging for mercy to save my grade
But that's just a day in the life, when it's straight a's or nothing.

i,, did not sleep well last night. in fact i slept horribly.
i had many many stress dreams about not getting up for school on time to the point that i woke up multiple times and had to remind myself "its saturday, you're allowed to sleep"
school has been so incredibly stressful lately that its become hard to truly relax even when i am allowed to.
everything cycles back to my capstone project and making sure everything is prepared for that which. is extremely stressful. i have a little over a month to prepare. i have to get things printed, get things ordered, gather all my supplies and honestly im not sure how many people are going to show up. its going to be at my local library, so im worried its going to become bigger than i can handle. but at the same time its for the community.
its all just a lot :(
