What's a nice stroll through the graphically absent woods without a little bit of action?
In other words, the game's coming along exceedinly well, so here's a small showcase of a room that'll appear in a demo that is hopefully soon to come! I'm sure it'll look a tad better than this by then. :-)
for the blinky progress of the weekend; npcs are up and running now! they are a tad janky on the code side but for the most part they work pretty well. now you can chat to your heart's content to all yer favorite blinky folk :-)
A small showcase of the visuals for the game's first primary area, the Blumen Woods, since I got a good majority of it done today. I think it turned out pretty well in the end!
I suppose this is also a showcase of Blinky's moveset. a good way to think of it would be a mix of meat boy and celeste combined for cool dashes with sharp agility. Also a showcase for hit enemy jerryman!!!!! Wtflip
Game progress has been going good, in the midst of reworking the npc system and the tutorial. Depending on progress I’ll have a good bit of footage to post tomorrow, so stay tuned for that! :-)
Sorry I haven't been posting too much, school's been taking my up most of my time and I've just gotten back on the blinky groove. progress is going well though, I'm done reimplementing base mechanics and have moved onto new things! Like enemies! Hopefully I'll bring some nice and juicy updates in the very near future on em :-)
Been working on more general level design for blinky, still for the tutorial level but there's now a good bit more and it's a LOT more refined!!!!!
I've also started on putting in more unique elements into gameplay, such as breakable blocks and electric gates. There's also small pseudocode signs for tutorial text; they're placeholder for now and'll look a lot fancier later on in development.
