you went to a bar with some of your friends, and it was a popular one in town. it was crowded, and the music was blaring. your friends were constantly having to yell at each other to talk.

you wore a laced dress, and you didn't put on much. what was the occasion?

your friends already had drinks with them. you didn't. you only got one for right now, because you don't wanna get drunk right off the bat.

when you went to go get one, you saw women hardly wearing anything, and they were full on drunk. running into people, making out with other guys, etc. you looked away, and you finally made it to the bartender.

"one shot, please," you asked. the bartender got right to work. he was quick with it. he had it done a few seconds right after you asked. you only wanted just a swig of alcohol. the bartender looked at you and saw the shot was small, "do you want another? or a beer by chance?" you didn't mind a beer, you took it.

you grabbed it and tried to find your friends, until you ran into a guy. some of your beer spilt, and so did his, "oh my god. i'm so so sorry." he tilted his head at you, "oh, you're good, doll! no worries." you didn't even know him, and you already started to feel things.

you looked up at him, and he was very attractive. black haired, brown eyes popping out his sunglasses, and a nice body shape. he smiled at you, "so what's your name?" you replied back, "y/n, you?" his smile formed into a grin, "pretty name for a pretty girl, i'm johnny."

you felt yourself start to blush a bit, from the way johnny was flirting with you. johnny apologized for an action you mostly did, "i'm sorry if i got your beer on your dress." you looked down, "did i get my beer on you? because you didn't get any on me. i mostly think this was my fault."

johnny rubbed your shoulder, "you're good, hon'."

you two talked for a bit, and you forgot about your friends. you were so focused on you and johnny's conversation. but all you could tell is that johnny was scanning you up and down.

"also, quick question, do you have a ride home?" he asked, and you took a sigh of relief, "i'm so fucking happy you asked that, because i don't." that's when johnny got you and him out of there.

you both got into the car, and he left, "that place is sometimes a torture, trust me." you nodded at him. the skirt of your dress started to ride up your thigh as he was driving home, and of course, johnny noticed. he just gave a quick smirk.

once you two got to his house and left the car, you went inside. you looked around, that was until you were picked up by johnny. you gasped, "johnny!" it's like he ran away with you. he took you to the bedroom, laid you down, and got on top of you. he started a makeout session with you. johnny seemed desperate for you, and he was.

he moved down your body, leaving some love bites on your neck and chest. your moans were letting out like crazy, "marking me already?" johnny released a chuckle, "oh yes, baby."

DMC random thoughts and headcanons in no particular order:

(incest shippers - I will Real Impact you on sight, Go Away; DMC is exclusively a gen (except Nero/Kyrie) family drama to me)

- I kind of wish there had been more of a '5 plot except Dante doesn't wake up and Vergil has to decide between power and the life of his brother' AU going on around here. I had a post written about it, but basically I think Nero himself is more than enough to give Vergil's emotional constipation some cracks, and then the ball gets rolling

- More Cerberus And King Cerberus Appreciation!!! They are two great demonic doggos and deserve more love (and double the appreciation for their weapon forms). I wish Dante had a Cerberus as a dog, than man really needs emotional support

- Vergil should Not have 4 wings. Controversial, yes, but he has a very cool and stabby tail in SDT, Wings are Dante's thing. Dante should have 4 wings, Vergil should have two and a tail, I Do Not Accept criticism

- Dante/Lady or Lucia ship could totally sail (personally I lean more towards Lucia), but not in this story of DMC, at least not for me. I think Dante could like either of them, but he is absolutely not in the right space for any kind of relationship during the entire story of the series, and probably won't be for a long time even after 5

- Patty Adopted Dante As Father Figure, I Do Not Accept Criticism

- Patty would get like a house on fire with Nero, especially if they compare Dante burns. She would also get along well with Vergil, because he actually has manners and style, she can appreciate that, also Patty wouldn't bother him too much (aside from nagging to be nicer).

- Dante is the Best Uncle when he is actually trying

- I wish we had at least a little bit more story going for Lucia, I really like her, but have not idea how to fit her in with other characters

- Nero didn't need to grow his arm back. He gets beautiful DT wing-claws, they are enough, or, well, they couldve made him be able to make a temporary 'holo arm' if needed, but in any case he is a better character if his arm is missing. Nero uses Breakers anyway, and his theme is using human contraptions instead of demonic artefacts. Regrowing an arm just makes him another one in a long line of 'disabled characters that get magically cured of their disaibility'. (have you seen his reloading animation with one arm? it`s great and just as cool as others)

- Dante and Vergil silently agreed to let Nero throw his much needed temper-tantrum, and Vergil absolutely went on easy mode on Nero. I love the punk boy, but no way he would be able to defeat either of the twins

- It is exceptionally beautiful to me how much alike and different the twins are, and either of them could be a hero, or a villain in their respective story. At the same time I am absolutely certain a villain!Dante would be irredeemable

- Battle for the Sun by Placebo is a song I associate with the tragic story of the wins. The music and melody is explosive and destructive, just like everything that came crashing down around the twins, it rises in intensity as their problems are left for decades to fester, the lyrics of the verses is very determined - both wont stand down and are extremely determined to see their crash course till the end (also the multiple repeats of some words makes it sound a little like a broken record - or in a narrative sense, like a lie they keep and keep telling themselves) , however the chorus is very different. The explosion of music that is constantly rising in verses finally blows up, and in this destructive cacaphony of sound the chorus is actually emotionally raw and sweet - the final confrontation of the brothers was inevitable, and it is the conclusion of their story, both know that and there is no more place left for conflict of goals, ideals or anything else, they know the end of their story is coming and the only thing they feel is joy. Joy as they clash together, like only they can, joy at seeing each other, alive after all these years, and joy at being together again, even in this twisted way, their affection in undeteterred

- (more Patty propaganda) I believe Morrison found the 'protect young child from demons' job for Dante on purpose. Morrison is probably one of the people who have known Dante for longest, so he would recognise halfbreed's change in moods after the Mallet job (for example Morrison notes Dante was sad when Patty left at the end of the anime, and...is this the only time someone actively voices concern for Dante's mental health? dammit everyone is this series is an emotional trainwreck). It's unknown if Morrison knows exactly How close to Home of an assignment Patty is (very young orphan hunted by demons, and she is not a half-devil child) to Dante, but her character was probably another good reason for Morrison to pick her as a temporary company to Dante. Even without considering his depressed state, Dante responds only to other dominating personalities (rivalry with Vergil, constantly trying to one-up another friendship with Lady) and Patty certainly has no patience for his laying around or mess at home. At the same time, she is considerate and empathetic enough to give him space or leave him alone if needed. She was the person to help him through the time after Mallet trauma and she did an admirable job. I think this makes their relationship (familiar one, NOT a ship) special, and she totally adopted Dante as her Father Figure against his will, and he can't do anything about it since.

- Subhuman is The Perfect song for DMC5 Dante (would I have liked it on its own? dunno, probably not, but playing the game with it on feels fantaSSStic and I adore this song ever since, also it is thematically On Point with Dante's character arc in 5)

- One of the fics I've read (Неудачник by velkhar on ao3) had written down the idea that Dante doesn't speak in SDT is because he is afraid of what his voice would sound like (once again, Dante has problems with his demonic heritage, they did not go away, not at all) and this headcanon has been aggressively accepted ever since

- Every Sparda has a very refined music taste. Dante is a Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Tenacious D fan for sure, perhaps also a Deepeche Mode fan, probably other 80-90s rock would fall into his interests. Nero is more of a pop rock guy, he definitely would like some rap and grunge music too, he'd like older Imagine Dragons albums, Linkin Park For Sure, maybe Skillet and or Katy Perry, probably also developed a taste for some classical music (being in Order and all; btw yes, you can like rock and classical music at the same time). Dante and Nero would dance to Shakira and Lady Gaga. Vergil's harder to pin down, as much as I enjoy BTL I cannot imagine him listening to it. I'd say he would enjoy classical music of course, maybe something like jazz or soul too. Might be a big stretch, but I also think Vergil would enjoy something like Evanescence too, I feel like all Spardas have a weak spot for female lead vocals.

(projecting here) all of them would like orchestral covers of classic rock songs, Vergil would especially enjoy covers on pipe organ (double projecting).

Hi I’ve just become an army last year and a tkkr about half a year ago.

I wouldn’t want to argue on something if I actually believe it so strongly so jikookers(??) don’t really bother me. And if someone asks about the so obvious pillars..? GCF japan trip and now enlistment

I want to talk about enlistment because I feel you’ve explained enough about the other 2 on your blog.

Enlistment for Jungkook seemed like something he wanted to just be done with. It still seems that way and the reason for that is that if he had truly adjusted to the lifestyle there he would still be in contact with us. Rn it’s like radio silence between army and jk. And that just resonates to me with the fact that he may not be at ease completely. Why did jk enlistment with Jm and not others

Well maybe because Jimin was afraid of joining the services after what happened to taemin, could also be that since jm has suffered near clinical depression earlier and jk was the one who was the “listener” during that period if time it made more sense.

Why was it jk with jm and not v with jm? That’s because v was actually in someway excited for his service. He wanted to experience ms. He knew for a long time he wanted to join sdt. He looked forward to it. Those 7 guys are brothers before anything else, they would never do anything hinder the choices for another so v was out of picture for a partner.

With the last 4 of the members enlisting in essentially one go, I’m fairly sure that time was of the essence here. Namjoon for instance seemed hardly done with his last project, so I feel if enlistment could have been postponed it would have. Since it was not, I think it was decided (amongst themselves or with BH as well) that they had to go when they went.. making them return in time for a reunion in 2025. Because of that, I also feel that Jm and Jk enlisting together was for a great part because of that (as I understood it, this was a way to ensure an early date rather than to wait for the army to send for them). Them being together is a lucky side effect of that. Jk and Jm both have tattoos, which limited their options. Tae did have more options, and he seems to have had a plan for himself (probably inspired by his friend).

People all deal with tough situations in their own way. I think Tae tries to make the best of it (though I also think he might’ve been putting on a braver face to not front of army) and he made this an opportunity for himself instead of something that stands in his way. I think we have no clue about how Jk is doing and feeling right now, simply because we don’t hear from him. He might’ve settled in and be actually enjoying parts of it for all we know.

I think Jk was never going to show us this part of his live. Even though he has been with us many many times… his music and his career have always been the things he wanted to share with us most… and perhaps his cooking skills. I don’t feel he wants us to know too much about his life aside from his music career. So him not showing his time in the military doesn’t really surprise me much. From the way Jm lets us know how he is doing, I think it is clear that we are not to expect much from Jk for the upcoming time 😢. As much as I personally miss seeing him, I also respect him a lot for having such boundaries.

Vídeo recente do canal TV Formosa revelou que o logo da Sessão da Tarde de 1989 foi feito na pressão e o pessoal resolveu zoar, escolhendo um typeface "sonífero" (Souvenir, que não estava mais na moda) além de fazer o que seria "a maior extrusão do mundo". A abertura, portanto, teria sido feita na sacanagem e fora dos padrões de design. E ainda assim, foi um sucesso e durou 25 anos, com direito a remakes posteriores (no original o céu é roxo e não tem chanfro/bevel nas letras, em uma as letras parecem desenhadas manualmente, inclusive). Isso quer dizer que as minhas pobres obras gráficas também tem chance?... :P Até 1989 a SDT passava filmes bastante antigos, até no máximo, dos anos 60, não era incomum que os filmes fossem em preto e branco nem que tivessem legendas (no caso, nas músicas dos filmes) em película, frequentemente feitas usando-se máquinas de escrever (o que não é "crime", tem LIVROS que já mem mandaram comprar na escola que foram feitos com máquinas de escrever). Depois começaram a levar ao ar versões dos filmes aí sim com legendas eletrônicas como as da Videolar (amarelo-esverdeadas), e mais recentemente, algumas que parecem ser feitas pela própria Globo e já em Full HD. Esse assunto é caro para o meu cérebro. Já tive um sonho em que eu via um número musical em animação e com legendas. Na minha frente.

No More Dream

Boybands are essential members of the music industry. For a time, they would become trendy and come a dime a dozen; other times, one boyband defines a generation – from the Beatles to the Backstreet Boys. The music lives on for generations but sadly, boybands come and go. When one member becomes too greedy and decides he is too famous to be just a member of a group; or when a member thinks he could be more than just a back-up singer with a few lines and very limited screentime and tries his luck as a solo artist – the band disintegrates and nothing is ever the same.

The globally phenomenal business that is kpop thrives because it follows a time-tested formula. Personalities come first; music comes second. The center member gets most of the lines and screentime; all the other members have to prop him/her up, whether they like it or not. They all have distinct roles to play to make the fans happy regardless of their own preferences. The music is generally crappy – sometimes a HIT but mostly a MISS - but the stage performances are insane; the stage antics and fan services are cringey at best and bordering on abuse at worse but the fans are happy; and the members play out their roles and personas to the hilt even if they are fictional versions of themselves.

Take for example the different personalities BTS members have projected on screen and on stage. (Intro: Persona by RM)

Jin is ONLY handsome; he is lazy; he only games a lot; he is a princess; he is a scaredy-cat.

JHope is another scaredy-cat; his only role in the group is to laugh a lot.

Suga is a genius; he is savage; he does not speak a lot but does not mince with his words.

RM is the leader; he has a very high IQ; he is a great lyricist; he is the muscle guy; he is a workout junkie.

V is cute; he has his own world; he always checks the vibe.

Jimin is CUTIE. SEXY. LOVELY.

JK is the ultimate muscle guy; he is an adrenaline junkie; he is very competitive; he is manhood personified.

For years, members play out their roles as best they can but since they are only portraying a make-believe persona, cracks appear here and there and they unwittingly show bits and pieces of their real selves. How many times have we seen Jin show his highly calculating intelligent mind in all those Run BTS episodes; or of Suga being soft and kind while Jimin is being assertive and scary when angry. Sadly, business is business so the script and the roles remain; hence, staged personas are magnified to obscure these snippets. And the members do their part.

But the military – an entity all its own – bursts the rose-tinted bubble that shrouds the kpop members. In a snap, the makeup and the hairstyles are gone; the glitter and the glamour are matted by the reality that all men in Korea have to go through. Boys become men to defend the sovereignty of their country. There is no script, only reality. No More Dream.

And so Captain Korea Jin excels superiorly in the military. For someone who is supposed to be the lazy and cowardly princess, he advances in his military promotions like how he moves up in his game levels – with his physical and emotional strength, calculating strategy, highly intelligent mind, and deep empathy.

Jhope who was originally chosen to be BTS leader now commands an entire army of trainees – his leadership skills shine through. And it’s not a laughing matter.

V who seemed passively placid carves his own path in the Special Duty Team (SDT) of the Korean Army Military Police. His competitive self stands out and he is now truly in a world all his own.

Cutie sexy contemporary dancer Jimin is assigned in the artillery that “requires good knowledge in mathematics and physics, as well as good judgment.” And that is so sexy of him.

And of course there is RM.

Muscle guy slash workout junkie RM is in the military band.  Fans thought that his IG posts of himself exercising – sometimes half-nakedly sexy – were a prelude to what should be expected of him once he would enlist. But no. RM is a musician through and through. Whether he is in a state-of-the-art music studio or in the military field playing his saxiphone, his musical genius is serving.

And JK?

Ultimate muscle guy slash adrenaline junkie fiercely competitive Jungkook is in the kitchen. And he is very proud about it, he even posts it on weverse himself, confirming that he is cleaning and cooking in the military. Did I expect it? No. Am I surprised? No. Because JK has shown many times his domesticity – during Bon Voyage when he would do the laundry, during In the Soop when he would cook together with Jin, during his weverse lives when he would wash the plates, vacuum his place, wash and fold the laundry, and cook and share his recipes even in the wee hours of the morning. How many times has he opened his live only for his fans to watch him watch a youtube cooking tutorial? Did JK condition us for what he wanted to be while in the military? Maybe. Maybe not. But what is assuredly definite is that he is very happy with where he is right now. JK brings dignity and glamour to what would have been a thankless job (and butt of jokes for many). I am so proud and happy for him.

This, for me, is the real Chapter 2 of BTS. They have chosen, on their own, where they are most comfortable and the happiest. No script. Just serving.

People are complex; celebrities even more. Despite the hours and hours of footages in different platforms, whether staged or personal, we are only shown a glimpse of the complexity of their lives. We are only spectators, but hopefully without the rose-tinted glasses, so that we can truly see what THEY (not the company) want us to see.

PS. Yoongi is still Yoongi - off the grid but surely making wondrous music.

honestly taehyung is so fit, or he became more attractive during his military service and i think it honestly suits him more than his idol image. beforehand i only really liked them for their songs or their talent but imho when they have that natural masculine look to them without makeup or glitz or glam its very very attractive. i esp like him in his police uniform like arrest me please he seems to have really enjoyed his time in the military away from being an idol as well.

what kpop often does is give idols images that dont really suit them or does too much too them that might be off putting to say the least like give them weird hair styles and hair colours when imho even their natural hair colour is very attractive and suits them just fine.

i cant wait for san to go into military hes already buff... he will do just fine imho. i wanna see him in full camo.

I get what you are saying, anon, but I tend to focus on idols as their public personas. for tae it had been glitzy and I kind of like both his glamour and whatever bits he chose to share online that may be their actual life or not like him in military. they are idols to me who i really dont pretend to know; i admire them for the kind of music they produced. beyond that, they are people who are entire strangers to me as i think everyone saw with nct. honestly though, boy with luv tae was probably as lethal as sdt tae.

i think it's exciting that a lot of people are getting into listening to music on vinyl but i beg of you if finances allow please buy a record player that's got a counterweight in the arm. A lot of cheaper record players do not have this and it means that the needle is pressing down onto your records, which overtime can damage them and damage the sound quality. Thats fine if youre listening to old records you got for £2 in a charity shop, but less fun for a record you paid decent money for. Also my top tip is buy good speakers, you can get excellent speakers in charity shops or second hand online, and they can really make up for a record player that might not give the best sound quality, especially ones that have built-in speakers
