Back in winter 2022 I started working on a comic of one of my favorite nsfw oneshots, Practical Demonstration, made like five pages, and then promptly dropped it cause I was still in the midst of Art Block From Hell, among other reasons

but the fic series recently got an update and I read it on a flight last week, which has renewed the brainworms :)

The comic's FAR from finished (I've thumbnailed the entire thing and it comes out to twenty-eight pages, while I have thirteen of those pages in varying stages of completion) but I've been having a lot of fun working on it and forcing myself to try and learn new things (backgrounds/environments, in this case) in the pursuit of Harvey Smut LOL

I thought I'd post some WIP shit here, in case ADHD gets my ass and I end up dropping it again 😭 pray for me

obviously he’d be a doting boyfriend 24/7, but if you fell sick?? ohh boy dr. boyfriend is in the house !!

it’s no surprise that he knows all of your favourite foods, and is more than happy to cook up some hearty soup or a tea to help soothe your body and soul (i.e., his 14 heart event)

he’s trying so so hard to be calm, because he Knows that you’re going to be okay, but harvey is such a nervous baby :(( just wants to be by your side to look after you (he wanted to ask you to occupy one of the beds at the clinic, but was worried that the suggestion would sound over-protective)

since he can’t be by your side 24/7, harvey is 100% the type to leave encouraging messages and doodles on post-it notes around the house:

eager to help you with your medication schedule, and to make sure you’re taking their medicine as prescribed (doctors orders!!)

LOVES being able to give you massages if you ask, it may not help your illness medically-speaking, it certainly makes you feel better <3

his nerves would go into overdrive if you attempted to get out of bed to keep up with the farm work, he can take care of it !!

(at least, he can try... harvey has been helping you out around the farm for a while now, so you’d trust him to take care of the chores)

as soon as you’re back to full health, your first priority is figuring out how to make your amazing boyfriend feel as cared for as you did 🥺

I know the Harvey stans have claimed Too Sweet by Hozier and the art coming out of it is beautiful, but my non Stardew playing partner brought up that the song fits my alcoholic husband way better.

And they’re fuckin right.

I love Harvey and I love this trend but I think it fits Shane better. Maybe it’s just the alcohol, idk.

- Honestly? You don't even have to ask him to help you do your injections. When you tell him you do them at home, he practically jumps at the opportunity to help. (Only because he is a generous doctor, not because he wants to get closer to you, of course!)

- Before you marry him, he insists on only doing your injections in his clinic. Poor guy is so happy you trust him with this and is SO paranoid about infections.

- He honestly makes it a sweet little routine. If you do your injections in the morning before you get to all the farm work, he is waking up early to make you a nutritious breakfast and get you some water before he sits you down.

- If you do your injections at night, he makes sure it is after a nice shower so you aren't as tense after farming.

- Either way, he is so gentle. He walks you through every single step no matter how many time it has been done.

- "Alright my love, take a deep breath in for me. I'm about to poke you so just relax." type shit.

- 10000% keeps silly bandaids around the house that are always geared to your interests, no matter how childlike they are. Superhero bandaids, Bluey bandaids, or just bandaids with fun patterns. He loves seeing you smile when you see which one he picked for the day!

- Honestly, he probably ends up getting your prescription at some point so you don't have to take the bus out to Zuzu city as often. Stays super on top of ordering everything you need so you never run out.

- Once you have the bandaid on, he makes you sit and stay with him for a couple of minutes, he says it is to make sure you don't have a bad reaction but really he just likes being around you.

- Rubs your injection spot, always. Man straight up drags you over to him just so he can rub your thighs and tell you how proud of you he is.

- If you are scared of needles, he figures out a way to work around it. Always tells you when he is switching needles so you can look away if need be. If you get really scared he gets you something to fidget with.

- Generally gives you prince treatment, he does not want you to lift a finger at all!
