Ink scratched into parchment, not soft like a poet might write, but harsher. The signature was jagged and angry, and it blurred as the scroll was hastily rolled up. A contract was born.

“I hope you don’t regret this.”

“I won’t,” Scorpio replied, turning to leave. “I already decided I wouldn’t.”

“Is it that easy?”

“If you want it to be.”

“Piek,” June suddenly asked, “who are you?” 

His feathers ruffled. These moments always made him uncomfortable, but it made sense that she would continue asking. He wouldn’t want to trust him, either.

“You always do that when you’re nervous,” the mage noted suddenly, and Piek cast her a slight look in offense while his feathers ruffled further. He lifted them up and out and then slowly let them settle back into place. Much better. 

“Do I?” he asked, trying not to sound too perturbed. “I can’t say who I am. I told you.” 

He doubted that answer would satisfy her. But she was trusting enough to have brought him this far. He could have simply watched all of this from a distance, he could have not gotten involved at all, could have flown off to the mountains and just lived like a regular raven - but he had too much at play, and too much at stake.

“You’re really on our side, though?” June pressed, and he tilted his head to her.

“Yes.” 

“What do you have to gain?”

To gain? Was that how she saw him? As simply participating in hopes of gaining something? It wasn’t entirely inaccurate, and the more he thought of it, the more he realised how clever a question it was at trying to get him to give himself away. He took in a sharp breath. Had to remain vague. He looked back out at the sky. 

“It’s not what I have to gain. It’s what I have to lose.”

Baylor and Nathaniel

Both Bay and Nate could eat an entire box of christmas chocolates in one sitting. Bay would be sitting, reading a book and pick at the box while he was reading, and would go back and find there was nothing left. Nate would eat the entire thing while painting or while watching a movie.

Bay would get pissy enough and almost tell kids that Santa wasn’t real. He’s not fond of the holidays, as his mother died around the holidays, and his birthday is on New Years eve. ;-;

Weylin and Zied

Mmm. I feel like Weylin would accidentally eat the entire box of christmas cholocates in one sitting because he was waiting for his boyfriend, who is LATE and he grew impatient and started eating them while waiting.

Niether would almost tell kids that Santa wasnt real. 

Cameron and Nik

mmmm, I would say Nik. But I think that Nik would actually eat an entire box completely on purpose.

Cameron would tell the kids that Santa wasn’t real, that is, if he bothered to acknowledge most children to begin with lol

Dacia!!! Definietly Dacia. I Can see her downing a box of chocolates on accident while reading a book and drinking tea. She just snacks on them while she reads her book and downs them all.

Biela would tell kids that Santa wasn’t real if they were hounding her and bugging her enough. Otherwise she’d just ignore them

Hogwarts au please!

Hogwarts aus are one of my fave aus! There’s no semblance of any kind of storyline because this answer would have been even longer than it already is. 

Yarus is the DA professor that knows everything there is to do about defensive magic but is too mild-mannered to be a very authoritative professor. It’s an easy class but fun because even though Yarus isn’t the most authoritative, he’s sweet enough that the majority of students pay attention. Also Amaranthina will kick their ass if she hears about someone messing with her godfather. 

Hymera is the Muggle Studies teacher. She teaches them about pop culture and has a bi-monthly class where muggle students can present something for extra credit. Half of her students love her and the other half hate her because she assigns 3-page essays every week.  

Amaranthina, Metos, and Kalix are all in Gryffindor. Amaranthina is a year older and the captain/founder of the dueling club. She’s also part of the potions club, dragging Betia with her. Everyone’s both in awe and terrified of her (plus a little in love). 

Metos is a known flirt but everyone also knows he’s been in love with Betia since third year when the Hufflepuff taught him how to fly. He’s the beater for the Gryffindor Quidditch team and has been since his second year. He’s the one to go to for contraband or back up for a fight.

Kalix is the one who comes from a family who all were sorted into Slytherin, and no one’s really sure how he ended up in Gryffindor. Despite this, he gets along fairly well with everyone, mostly because he stays under the radar despite his status as Head Boy.

Reyja was almost sorted into Slytherin but ended up choosing Ravenclaw. She gets into as many arguments as Metos does, and is hella intimidating once she gets her wand out. She’s a Chaser for the Quidditch team and prefect.

Betia is in Hufflepuff and he’s beloved by the house elves because he always visits them. His housemates are collectively protective over him and are waiting for him and Metos to finally get together. Through a series of events orchestrated by Amaranthina, Betia ended up in the potions club and is actually fairly good at it.

probably?? i’m sorry i’m so bad at answering these i’m?? hvdhoehf terrible?? at weddings, they ask to be blessed by either the sun or the moon, depending, same with any royal celebration, life or death. other than that, i haven’t really thought about it because i’m still developing some stuffs!! sorry, pal!!

( 47 ) what fantasy trope makes you want to punch a wall? which trope actually makes you smile?

fovsdoijei ya know what really bothers me?? those guys in fantasy that are *ahem* dark and mysterious w/ a tragic backstory, but are actually super abusive and cruel to their partners. don’t get me wrong, those guys can be written well, i’ve seen it. but like?? why they always gotta have a bad rep.??

mulan-ish characters are my weakness, ya’ll. also?? lady knights?? women who can kick my ass is ( probably ) not a trope, but they just :’) also couples who joke w/ each other, but aren’t mean. also long fantasy names?? i love tHose, gah! also?? redemption arcs ( DEPENDING ON THE CHARACTER )??

2. Do you have a personal favorite among your OCs?Hmm, honestly not really. It largely depends on what I’m currently working on and what mood I’m in. Right now, if I had to pick, I’d probably say Rei, from The Shaman Society.

13. Do you have any troublemaker OCs?Hello, Rei, good to see you again here. Yes, Rei is pretty much defined as a troublemaker, so she is the clear answer for this question. She’s only been suspended from high school multiple times and has spent more time in detention than not. And has broken more than one of her classmate’s noses.

14. Introduce an OC with a tragic backstory. I had one character named Phokas, a man who worked his way up from peasantry into his kingdom’s military, came under the leadership of a young upstart commander, fell in love, and worked to move their kingdom towards a brighter future. Then, said commander discovered a dark source of power, became corrupted by it, and sacrificed his people (including Phokas) to obtain near divine status, thereby plunging the kingdom into dark and terrible leadership. Phokas died, was resurrected by the gods to stop his former friend and, when he failed, was brought back again and made eternally immortal until he succeeded. Five hundred years later he still hasn’t succeeded, and has been wandering the world aimless and broken. Happy stuff.

39. Introduce any character you want. Let me introduce you to Raven Allard, the burly blacksmith of a small town who dreams of more in her life. A bit of a dreamer, and a competent fighter, she comes into possession of a magical gauntlet, which is actually cursed and won’t come off, slowly killing her while she wears it, thus forcing her on an adventure to free herself of the curse while being chased by murderous hellspawn working for her king. You know, the usual.

It has been a while since I used this account, huh. But it's the second anniversary of publishing original music after The Hiatus, so I thought I would publish a total conversion (for lack of a better word) of a really old track! Details under the cut.

The original was written 2013. Back then, it was just called 'Freedom' and pretty much existed in a vacuum; no clear inspirations nor purpose. Despite that it's a track that I always had nostalgic feelings for, the sort of feeling that I wanted to convey in the remake. Originally this remake was going to be a solo piano version (hence the solos). However, I also wanted to improve the barebones title. While I won't go into too many details, the new title is slightly inspired by a poem I had to read for class some time ago. Due to this and a couple other factors, somewhere along the way I started thinking of depicting this family where the kid feels on top of the world over something that might seem small to anyone else. Hopefully that came across well!

16: (truth) What is your dream job?

I used to think it was to be a composer/song writer. And I solidly pursued that for a while in my childhood + teens but then I like… somehow became a super useless adult with a really short attention span. I ended up pursuing a lot of other interests, mostly departments in music or to do with musicians (like promotional positions or managing them), etc. I think the most consistent dream I had that I still do have right now is to be a published author? But yeah I’m… still trying to find myself I guess.

Stick Up - grandson. This reminds me of @dandagostino, I think because of a WIP playlist of theirs I’ve listened to before. They write quite nicely.

You’re So Cold - Two Feet. @medusaswrites. I think it’s one of her OCs from Martyr. Also she said I had sexy taste in music? (Not true by the way.) And this is kinda sexy so.

Bawling - Primary, OHHYUK. Reminds me of @marscults. Because this kind of music is what I associate with DEAN and Club Eskimo and I think she’s the only person on the internet I’ve ever talked about anything remotely close. (We mentioned Dean once, but never again I don’t think.)

💙 how has the idea changed between starting it and where it is now?

I’ve rewritten the summary a couple times since beginning it. There haven’t been any major changes necessarily... more like tweaking the focus. I had the plot and setting initially but the biggest thing for me has been character development, particularly for June.

💔 give a brief character bio of your 3-5 MCs.

June: main character. She grew up ignoring half of her identity - basically not wanting to acknowledge that she is a celestial mage at all. When the time comes to not just accept, but embrace this part of her, it’s slow going. After that it becomes a quest to find her family, and learn more about exactly who she is and what she can offer the world. Curious, hungry, and doesn’t take shit.

Theo: June’s childhood friend. Always thought that relying on magic was a sign of weakness. Learning to change his mindset and meeting so many people puts him on a massive learning curve. A bit of a disaster. Romantic at heart. 

Sagittarius: Searching for the right person to help him. Stumbles across June and Theo. He sees the potential in them that they can’t. But he also has his own struggles. A little needy. Too charming for his own good. Persuasive. Lucky. 

❣️ which scene has been the hardest to write so far?

I’m still only a little ways in. Figuring out the climax is tough, but I am excited to write it. The toughest scenes for me are always the ones that set up the world or transition from place-to-place; I want them to be interesting, provide depth to characters, and not just act as buffer zones between the “fun” parts.
