the au itself is massive and i have SO MANY HEADCANONS for who is who and what happened to everyone... i feel like im going to end up writing this as a fragment series on ao3, like not chapters so much as a bunch of oneshots idk

Yok, Sean’s self-declared new best friend, grabs his hand – and the hand of the blond guy behind them in the queue – before announcing, “They’re here!”

Sean’s kind of overwhelmed, but he’ll go with it.

“Who?” he asks – the other guy echoes him a second later.

“The twins,” Yok whispers, “They’re the hottest guys on campus, they’re so rich they’re practically untouchable – there are rumours Black once spit in the dean’s face and he didn’t even say anything, that’s how untouchable they are.”

Sean feels his lip curling as he says, “That’s fucked up.”

“No, it’s cool,” Yok disagrees, “Haven’t you read about what the dean’s like? It’s speaking truth to power, that’s hot-“

“-I’m straight,” says the guy behind them, and I can’t tell who you’re pointing out.

“Oh,” Yok says, then pauses. “By the sign? The one asking people to sign up for the street clean-up activities?”

It’s a busy day on campus, and they’re still in the line to register – it’s not a surprise the other guy couldn’t see them. Sean’s not even trying to look, Yok’s description of two untouchable rich guys not being the kind of thing that appeals to him, but the other guy cranes his neck and makes a sound.

Sean squints at him, and he says, “Maybe not entirely straight.”

“Congratulations,” Yok says mock-solemnly, “I don’t know who to congratulate – what’s your name?”

“Gram,” says the guy.

“Congratulations, Gram,” Yok says, “How about you, Sean? Have they made you realise anything about your sexual orientation?”

He rolls his eyes, but Yok seems harmless, so he says, “I’m already into guys – not rich ones, though.”

“Maybe you just haven’t met the right rich guy,” Yok says with a teasing nudge.

To humour him, Sean starts to look.

As he does, Yok narrates, “The one without glasses – there, he’s kicking the sign back into place – that’s Black, he’s the older twin,” and Sean sees him and is relieved to find that Yok was exaggerating his hotness, because he’s kind of cute but that’s about it, nothing to get Sean questioning his morals or anything, “And the other one-“

“-Why aren’t you calling them phi?” Gram interrupts.

Yok waves his hand kind of wildly and says, “The twins skipped a year, I think they’re actually younger than me – I was born pretty early in the year? – so they don’t call their classmates phi but the fanpage says they don’t want our year calling them that way either-“

“-They have a fanpage?” Sean asks.

“They’re the hottest guys on campus, keep up. Anyway, the one who is wearing glasses is White, and he’s-“

He catches sight of him and loses his breath.

It’s like something from a movie, something from a dream – Sean’s been having weird dreams lately.

“Why are you talking to me?” he asks uneasily. People don’t tend to talk to Chai – not when they know who his brother is and what he does.

The little guy bites his lip nervously and hands him a pamphlet, saying, “I think you could benefit from reading this,” before glancing around nervously and running away.

Chai watches as he goes – it doesn’t seem like he’s running out of fear exactly, more like he has something to do – and he wonders if the guy realises he didn’t leave his name. It’s an odd interaction, but he’s prepared to shrug it off before he looks down at the pamphlet. His stomach swoops.

Handing out pamphlets this nakedly political in person?

No wonder he came up to Chai despite his family – the guy’s insane.

He wants to know more.

“Sean?”

“Sean!”

“Huh?” he says, shaking himself out of it.

“Hot enough it doesn’t matter he’s rich?” Yok teases.

Gram, meanwhile, is saying, “The line’s moving.”

Oops – there’s a big gap in front of them.

“Sorry, Gram,” he says, ignoring Yok’s accusation entirely.

Starting tomorrow (Sunday) there will be five posts from the queue per day. 1 Location, 1 Stranger related post, 1 story mission, 1 Point of Interest, and 1 Newspaper. 5 posts between 10am and 2pm (EDT) (The amount I have now is enough for the rest of the month.)

I was debating whether to post one of each of the three newspapers a day but that's too much so we're just gonna start with the New Hanover Gazette then Blackwater Ledger and finally Saint Denis Times. Most of the newspapers are identical anyways but some have articles added or swapped out.

There are also articles that are contingent on completing certain Stranger Missions and/or Bounties. i.e. you don't get the Black Widow article unless you bring her in.

For my low honor run (I'm finally doing it) I have a few Colter Missions I hadn’t made posts for so I got screenshots for those to make those.Those will come after the story missions that are already in the queue (which is… pretty much all of them but 2)

I need every John drawing I missed, every John entry for stranger stuff. Arthur will ONLY do story stuff (or stuff I hadn’t done for him. Like I think I legit only need a drawing of the mammoth skeli from him). He's not even gonna save random people cause he's gonna be low honor anyway. I mean I'm probably gonna cave and make him do the Edith Downes missions in chapter 6 cause redemption (and John can’t do those anyway) but until then we're mean >=T

I’m also working on a timeline for mission events but it’s gonna be from the order that makes the most sense to me (nothing official) so I’ll be doing that as I play this time.

Alright, low honor blogging here we go.

So far I haven’t antagonized anyone but Kieran (which kills me T_T) but I just don’t wanna be mean to anyone and at least being mean to Kieran seems reasonable for canon reasons. But I also haven’t greeted anyone but Javier in Colter.

Chapter 2 I started with Swanson’s mission (which is what I always do anyway) and skipped poker, tried to be low honor and just shot the guy fighting Swanson then the witness but shooting the witness made a cop spawn and I failed.

Moving on to Uncle’s mission, I don’t think there’s an option not to help the coach guy but it makes sense for Arthur to help cause the women are there. Now… Jimmy Brooks… sorry buddy… wish I could get the pen from him but oh well. I didn’t return the “borrowed” horse >=D

Javier telling me to hurry up because they have drinks waiting… *violently mashing to get Tommy OFF Arthur* I’M A LITTLE BUSY BUDDY

I always get Kieran off the tree asap which would be next since it’s night as my face was being smushed into the mud. I’d say I’ll do that, then go get Sean. (I normally do Hosea and Strauss’ stuff after Kieran’s mission but I’m trying to do this more realistically. (give Charles a day or so to find out about Sean, give Javier and Trelawny some time to meet up with Charles (because Javier goes with Trelawny - for what, i don’t remember) So I’d say there’s enough time to start the next day, after the bar fight, with Kieran’s mission then maybe talk to Strauss about money lending, go to Painted Sky and get that done since it’s across the river then move on to Sean’s mission (leaving the Emerald Ranch debt and Downes for later) I’ll do the ER debt when me and Hosea go there later.

I just antagonized Bill after greeting him since he’s on guard duty when I came back and Arthur said “That ain’t good enough. Hello.” “Yes, hello Arthur.” Bill’s already done with my shit XD

Apparently that one time I greeted Javier back in Colter must have registered to the entire gang that I was nice because Bill was confused as heck as to why I was suddenly “acting like this” when I antagonized him the next morning so…. Gotta antagonize more… People I REFUSE to antagonize: Tilly, Charles, Mary-Beth, Karen, Hosea, Lenny, Abigail, and Jack. Everyone else is free game. Maybe I’ll antagonize some of them but I will never ever ever disrespect Tilly, Charles, Hosea, or Lenny… I love them too much… okay maybe not Abi either… (it’s hard being mean!)

I can already say (figuring out the timeline wise) I hate that I’m making myself do this because starting out Blackwater heist was May, Hosea says it’s still May, Arthur’s journal however (that he narrates as he writes it the next morning) says they’ve been running for WEEKS … BUT… there’s NO WAY Davey would’ve survived longer than three days with a gut shot wound… even three is pushing it but Dutch said he hasn’t slept for three days so logically they’ve been “running” for three days? unless he just took over driving for three days.. I DUNNO… This is way too fucking complicated… Why do I do this to myself…

Jennifer Morrison is coming to FACTS in Belgium, on the 29th and 30th of September! No need to introduce her to you guys, but in case you have any questions about the con itself, I can help as I’ve been a volunteer for about 10 years now.

Many of you remember how horrible it was when Jennifer cancelled at the Fairy Tales convention and many lost the money hey had invested in autographs, pictures and meet and greets? There’s no reason to worry about a repeat of that in your wallet. The economic model of the FACTS convention is a bit different. You buy autographs at her table itself - so once she’s already there. No need to buy them in advance. So no risk of losing that cash. Photoshoots are sold about 3-2 weeks before the convention starts, so sometime during September. The risk of an actor cancelling is much lower then.

We’ve had a cancellation before of Sean Astin, a few years back, right after his mother had died. Everyone with a photoshoot ticket that had been bought in advance was later refunded automatically, and I think all refunds were ok about a week or two after the convention. And Sean did visit FACTS about 6 months later and he was an absolute sweetheart!

The entrance ticket is something that’s non-refundable, but also not expensive if you get it now. Prices for entrance tickets go up as the convention draws nearer, so the sooner you get it, the better.

And even without the actors, FACTS is still awesome, so you certainly won’t get bored there! There’s speeddating, lots of stalls for shopping, often also karaoke all day round, and we’ve had lasershooting and Europe’s biggest bouncy castle (which they call THE BEAST) in the past, and cosplay competitions are also very big there. So don’t worry that you’ll get bored, you won’t.

At this moment, you could buy two standard tickets for 30 Euro and be in for the entire weekend. The VIP sounds great, and it’s certainly nice. You can skip the queue for pictures and autographs and you have seats that are reserved at the front of the Q&A. You also have access to a room with snacks and drinks, where you can chill if you need to rest your legs and you probably get a few goodies. Personally, I would just go for 2 standard tickets for Saturday and Sunday. I don’t mind queuing as much. But if someone is your big idol, a VIP package is nice to ensure you have good seats during the Q&A.

Also big thanks to all the fans that visited Kirsten Bauer, Jared Gilmore and Emilie de Ravin during the previous editions of FACTS. By showing their interest in OUAT, they’ve now gone for Jennifer too. That’s awesome! So keep showing your love for the show and who knows who else they’ll bring for future editions!

I Want Someone Here To Evaluate My Life (IF TLDR: Just Skip To The Last Two Paragraphs)

Hi my name is Sean, I'm a 27 year old "adult" and I'm not very happy about my life. This is not a post asking for sympathy or bemoaning how bad I have it but rather a request to any anonymous person reading this to give me their honest assessment of the following regarding my life up this point. I'm going to try to break the various stages of my life into bullet points, key word being "try".

Born in Wisconsin to a mother of three children who worked all the time and a career oriented father who was abusive physically and emotionally. Transferred to suburban grade school due to emotional problems at the mps though I still had difficulty connecting with teachers/students, I would frequently get suspended and get subsequently beaten at home. After numerous incidents at school I was ostracized by the other children for being "weird" and became very distant from them. I was sent to a special needs class due to disruptive behavior and would remain with one throughout my school years.

Years later after four abusive relationships my father permanently left and my mom received custody. She tried to be as supportive as a working mother of three could but eventually couldn't cope and took up drinking. Middle school, still an outcast my situation didn't change having also been devastated by news of my best (and only) grade school friend dying in a car crash. As time went on incidents occurred both less frequently because of psychological fear of physical harm leading to repressed emotions. By 7th grade I retracted my emotions completely and the incidents stopped. Grades were average at best.

Though my high school population was 3-4 times that of middle school at that point I had no concept of socialization and would never learn how to. Youngest brother by four years started displaying outbursts similar to mine though much angrier, leading to arguments and eventually boiling points that lead to me hitting my own brother. Mom though a supportive figure, still drank and still worked too much to be a positive figure in my life. Grades floundered with C's and D's turning into D's and F's every semester, eventually failing a remedial algebra class senior year. The teacher was convinced by the school to pass me anyway and I "graduated" with a useless high school diploma and a damaged high school transcript.

After high school we moved to a smaller yet sizable rural town 40 miles north of where I grew up. Having no concept of life after high school, how expensive college would be, or anyone to talk to for guidance, two years passed before I took up a job busing tables. That became first time I had any meaningful social interacted with people in years, though I realized that I didn't know how to hold conversations or how to pick up on social queues. Eventually I moved in with a coworker who I became very good friends with though that was short lived as said roommate went to prison. 2 years of savings gone I was forced to move out and experienced the most severe mental breakdown since childhood, physically shaking, constantly sobbing, erratic behavior that went on for 9 months.

-Transitioning out of my emotional breakdown, I resolved to move to another state with a friend that I made online by the following winter. Having no concept of things like credit, and having never spoken with a landlord/realtor before those ambitions where put on hold and unresolved tensions lead to us no longer being friends. Eventually got back in contact with said friend. And we resolved to move in together when the time was right. nearly two years of working as a kitchen cook I managed to save $11,000 and signed a lease with a landlord, I moved the following month.

It's been a year and two months since I moved out. I left with the lofty goal of getting a job, saving enough to comfortably go to college without risking poverty or homelessness and hopefully pursuing a career. I've been fired from one job and laid off the other, both dishwashing jobs that paid only enough to get by. I've had to put college off indefinitely and likely will never be able to attend in my current state as I have less money than when I moved out. And my living situation is currently dependent on myself and my roommate living together, the latter of whom is almost finished with college. As someone who has never been able to properly socialize and relate to others, there's a particularly strong sense of elitism in this city as most of the schools while not ivy league consist of students (many foreign) who's tuition have been paid for and have their futures already set. They drive luxury cars, eat out frequently as most of the restaurants are next to their schools and talk about their futures as if it's a forgone conclusion rather than a question. And it's brings an extra layer to all of the anxieties, insecurities and feelings of social incompetence that I've had since I was a child and reminded me of how inferior I feel (and in fact am) to everyone around me.

I also spent a week in Montreal with a couple who lived more modestly by comparison. As much as I appreciated them for their hospitality, I couldn't help but be reminded of the stark differences between us and how they and many people, are normal people living normal lives. I'm not and I possible never will. Seeking out healthcare to address my poor physical and mental health has left me realizing I knew nothing of healthcare in the US or how it works. Ineligible for Medicaid and my inability to get health insurance for most of the year has left me on the verge of another mental breakdown like the one that crippled me years ago. After making numerous calls and emails, once again my only option is to wait and put my life on hold. This is where I'm at, I'm 27, I have no meaningful education, no future, unable to cope with repressed emotions that I don't know how to express, unable to function like a normal person, unable to relate with people, unable to find help, and I don't know what to do. As distraught and miserable as I feel about myself, I understand I still made choices that lead me here, I am not asking for help, or advice, or sympathy. As the title already states I'm just asking for someone, anyone, to look at my assessment of my life and tell me what they think of it.
