i was hoping you could offer some encouragement and advice to me. basically the entire luckyvoidgirl thing yesterday, i acctually liked her success story, it made sense to me and i even listened to cee's subliminal and my parents ended up saying i don't have to go to this dumb event i was dreading so im even seeing successes with it

the thing was she said something that i can't stop thinking about. she said that a lot of tumblr is just misinformation and that the original blog that brought the void to tumblr was divineangelbee and she was exposed for lying about the void. everyone just copied whatever she said and kept spreading the same stuff she put out but her own experience was all a lie. it really got me thinking about how educated this community is about loa, like the void state and loa is so intertwined. luckyvoidgirl never said she used loa and she did something different but she got so much flack bc the void community on tumblr is so deeprooted in loa, possibly bc of angel. but anyways for a community that is so deeprooted in loa, so many people haven't entered and even worse, so many bloggers have been exposed for lying about their success story. the crazy thing is its so easy to lie on tumblr so the fact that so many have gotten caught makes me wonder how many we haven't even caught and really how does a community that knows loa struggle like this.

idk i just can't stop thinking about this and was hoping for some guidance.

hey love! im technically on break but you're not the only one spiraling so i rlly wanted to answer this.

first of all, i want to say she's just lying and this community is great but i can't. the truth of the matter is she is right. the person who brought the void to tumblr was @divineangelbee and she was the one who went around saying it was super easy and anyone can do it and she was and is still pretty much the blueprint for how a lot of voidstate tumblr thinks, but she was exposed for harassing her friends to enter the void for her. since then, many other bloggers who basically parrot the same thing as her have been exposed as well.

however i want to highlight something here. just because someone preaches something and it doesn't work out for them doesn't mean it's false. this is a super old argument, like back when bloggers like cleo and raven were super popular but people were arguing abt Sammy Ingram. basically she was a big affirm and persist girlie and people were going at her for saying this but never losing any weight (her main goal with manifestation was to lose weight but she never did and just gaslighted anyone who pointed it out, saying they were bodyshaming her). while something was off for sammy (maybe she didn't persist or maybe she just didn't bother doing her method at all), her method worked for so many people. there's boatloads and boatloads of success stories from her videos and methods. so someone can be lying about the void and still be giving legit advice.

however, the void state community on tumblr DOES have a lot of misinformation. ive seen people claim the void state is just SATS, just alpha state, theta state, delta state, it's acc just a placebo for you to guarantee manifestations, and all sorts of nonsense. now there's a new addition, people who tell you to pay money and they'll get you into the void state. it's honestly crazy how hard the community went against the luckyvoidgirl but not some of the other stuff i see here.

but anyways, what do you do?

you need to realize that you entering the void has nothing to do with the state of the void community on tumblr. people lying abt entering the void doesnt make the void a lie, it makes them a liar.

ive been in that position where i hailed bloggers and felt attached to this community so drama here messed with me internally. you shouldn't be doing that. please read my Doubts post where i talk about overcoming this and also provide many sources of proof that the void is real so that you don't need to rely on tumblr to know that:

how to transfer your old pokemon to pokemon home before it's too late!!!

the wi-fi services for the nintendo 3DS and WiiU are shutting down in early april 2024, and while it specifically lists pokemon bank and poke transporter as being available post-shutdown, there is no guarantee of how long that may be for. there will likely come a time when these services shut down, and it could be in the relatively near future.

it is also pretty much impossible now to transfer pokemon to the switch's Home service with alternative methods such as PKHeX (popular pokemon save editor for the uninformed) due to the implementation of server-side Home IDs tracking pokemon at all times - the details of that aren't super important for this post, but point is, whenever bank shuts down, unless nintendo makes an offline way to transfer to home, it will be impossible to move pokemon from the old gens to the new, even with alternative/hack-y methods.

i write this guide with the intention of making this process easier for people since transferring pokemon has changed so much over the past two decades that it's a bit of a mess, and in a timely manner to give people time to finish the process. i'll be organizing by generation so feel free to skip to any part of the guide you need. (keep in mind that transferring is permanent, your pokemon cannot go back afterwards!!)

(by the way it would mean a lot to me if you weren't overwhelmingly negative of pokemon in the tags/reblogs. i get that pokemon transferring being an online service sucks but reading that stuff in my notifications constantly is really tiring </3 make ur own post to talk about that)

to walk you through, i'll be transferring this random shiny spinda i hatched in emerald version all the way up to pokemon home. her name is Moss :]

below the cut since this is long as fuck sorry LOL

GEN 1/2 -> 3 (aka RBY/GSC -> RSE/FRLG)

this is impossible! as for the Virtual Console releases of the gen 1/2 games on 3DS, more on that later in the gen 5 -> 6/7 section.

GEN 3 -> 4 (aka RSE/FRLG -> DPPT/HGSS)

what you need:

a copy of RSE or FRLG

a copy of DPPT or HGSS in the same language as the RSE/FRLG copy that has beaten the champion and has access to post-game areas, preferably HGSS because it lets you transfer unlimited times as opposed to DPPT's once-per-24-hours limit (unless you happen to have korean DPPT/HGSS, which is not language locked in terms of transferring)

either an original DS or a DS lite, the old ones with the GBA slot at the bottom

the steps:

#1. you can only transfer 6 pokemon at a time, so get whatever 6 pokemon you want to transfer up together in gen 3. if you're intending to transfer less than 6 pokemon, you'll need to catch some extras since you have to transfer the full 6 every time (i usually just catch a bunch of extra mons on the first route, which is what i've done here with the poochyenas/wurmples)

#2. put the gen 3 game into the GBA slot of the DS, and the gen 4 game into the DS slot. both games should appear on the home menu after turning on the DS.

#3. load the DS game and spam A past the title screen. before loading your save, scroll down. you should see a "MIGRATE FROM (GAME NAME HERE)" option. if you don't, either the GBA game isn't reading properly, or you have not visited Pal Park in your gen 4 game of choice. in HGSS, the Pal Park is located in Fuchsia City, and in DPPT, the Pal Park is located at the end of Route 221 below Sandgem Town.

#4. select the aforementioned migration option and pick the pokemon you want to transfer.

#5. navigate to the Pal Park and complete the Catching Show, where you re-catch your transferred pokemon in the wild. this does not overwrite what pokeballs they were originally caught in! you will need to bring a pokemon with Surf if you have any Pokemon that spawn in the water areas. you can check what location the pokemon you transferred will be in on bulbapedia.

#6. say yes to storing the caught pokemon in your PC boxes and they'll be there!

important things to note:

pokemon with HM moves will be blocked from transfer, so make sure to use the Move Deleter to remove HM moves from any pokemon you're transferring in gen 3 before trying to transfer. in RSE, the Move Deleter is in Lilycove City, and in FRLG they are in Fuchsia City.

gen 3 -> 4 is the only step in the transfer process where held items transfer up as well, meaning that if you attach a valuable item such as a rare candy, master ball, or TM to a transferred pokemon, you can take it off that pokemon and put it in your bag in the gen 4 game.

an aside about colosseum/XD gale of darkness on gamecube:

you can transfer pokemon from colo/XD as well! unfortunately you'll need to have beaten colo/XD, and then you will also need to beat the gen 3 game... in FRLG, you even have to complete the postgame ruby/sapphire quest on the sevii islands to unlock trading with the gamecube games. once you do all that though, you can navigate to the pokemon center basement in Phenac City to trade with your gen 3 GBA title. to do this, you'll need a gamecube or wii with gamecube compatibility, a GBA (or GBA SP), and a GCN -> GBA link cable to connect the two consoles.

GEN 4 -> 5 (aka DPPT/HGSS -> BW/BW2)

what you need:

a copy of DPPT/HGSS

a copy of BW or BW2 in the same language as DPPT/HGSS copy that has beaten the champion (or N in the original BW) and has access to post-game areas.

two DS consoles of any kind (3DS is also fine!)

the steps:

#1. get the pokemon you want to transfer together in your gen 4 game's PC boxes. you can only transfer 6 pokemon at a time. if you have less than 6, catch some extra pokemon, since you need to transfer the full 6 every time. save it and turn off the DS with the gen 4 game.

#2. turn on your gen 5 game and navigate to the Poke Transfer Lab. personally i just fly to Black City/White Forest and head west.

#3. talk to the NPC in the lab to start the transfer process. you will be prompted to turn on your other DS again and open DS Download Play with your gen 4 game inserted. do that and download the Poke Transfer app that comes up.

#4. select the 6 Pokemon you want to transfer when prompted.

#5. play the transfer minigame! just drag the... bow? (lol) on the bottom screen to aim your pokeballs. there's technically a time limit, but it's very generous, and your final score doesn't matter.

#6. say yes to transferring the pokemon once you're done and they'll be placed in your PC boxes!

important things to note:

pokemon with HM moves will be blocked from transfer, so make sure to use the Move Deleter to remove HM moves from any pokemon you're transferring in gen 4 before trying to transfer. in DPPT they're in Canalave City, and in HGSS they're in Blackthorn City.

the level the pokemon was obtained at and the date it was obtained is changed upon transfer to gen 5 - it will have the met date of your DS clock and the met level of the level it was at the time of transfer. if you'd like to preserve a pokemon's met date, make sure to change the DS clock to the proper date.

GEN 5 -> 6/7 (aka BW/BW2 -> 3DS TITLES/BANK)

what you need:

a copy of BW/BW2

a copy of any 3DS pokemon game (XY/ORAS/SUMO/USUM)

a 3DS (or 2DS, i'll just be referring to them all as 3DSes here) with the poke transporter and pokemon bank apps installed. these were free apps that were once downloadable from the 3DS eShop, but the 3DS eShop is no longer available, so if you don't already have them installed you will need to explore alternate methods, AKA hacking your 3DS and injecting them in. that's outside the scope of this guide but you can find more information here on 3ds.hacks.guide. (do not attempt to follow any 3DS hacking guide not on this website, they could be outdated and harm your 3DS!)

a nintendo network ID that your 3DS is logged into (also outside the scope of this guide but if you don't already have one, it will prompt you during the process to make one)

internet connection

the steps:

#1. poke transporter defaults to trying to transfer every pokemon located in Box 1 of your PC, so go into your gen 5 game and put every pokemon you want to transfer into Box 1, and take anything you don't want to transfer out. if you want to transfer more pokemon than you can fit in one box, you'll have to transfer multiple times.

#2. open poke transporter with your gen 5 game inserted into the 3DS' cartridge slot. after pressing A through some menus and selecting the gen 5 game when prompted, it should ask if you want to transfer the pokemon in Box 1, with a preview of the pokemon inside. confirm and let it do its thing. after poke transporter is finished, the pokemon you transferred will be in the special Transport Box in bank.

#3. make sure you either have a 3DS pokemon title downloaded onto your 3DS, or swap out your gen 5 cart for one, it doesn't matter which.

#4. close out of poke transporter and navigate to pokemon bank. at the time of writing this guide, bank is still online and is free for everyone without a subscription - the main menu has an infinite "free trial" period number.

#5. select "use pokemon bank" and pick a 3DS game to connect with when prompted. it doesn't matter which one, but if you're looking to see your pokemon in a gen 6/7 game right now, pick the one you want to move it into. viewing a pokemon in a gen 6/7 game isn't required to move to home later, though!

#6. the Transport Box is located one box to the left of Box 1 - navigate to it and drag your pokemon out into a normal bank box. now you can move them to any gen 6/7 pokemon game you want, or home later!

important things to note:

even though bank connects with both gen 6 and gen 7 games, once you place a pokemon into a gen 7 game (SUMO/USUM), you cannot transfer that pokemon back to a gen 6 game (XY/ORAS), so be careful!

an aside about the VC releases of RBY/GSC:

poke transporter can also be used to transfer pokemon out of the VC releases of RBY/GSC. these pokemon are changed pretty heavily, converting all their old gen data into pokemon's modern data structure. you can find more information about all the changes/conversions made on bulbapedia. these pokemon are considered gen 7 pokemon afterwards, and cannot be moved into XY/ORAS. pokemon with held items also cannot be transferred from VC titles and will fail to transfer.

if you want to transfer pokemon from cartridge RBY/GSC and have a save dumping device, it is possible to inject the cartridge's save file into the VC versions with Checkpoint on a hacked 3DS and then transfer that way. for GSC specifically, you'll need to edit your save slightly to make it compatible with VC GSC's save format. i personally made a converter for that here that you're free to use in-browser.

GEN 6/7 -> GEN 8+ (aka BANK -> HOME)

what you need:

a 3DS (or 2DS, i'll just be referring to them all as 3DSes here) with the pokemon bank app installed. this was a free app that was once downloadable from the 3DS eShop, but the 3DS eShop is no longer available, so if you don't already have it installed you will need to explore alternate methods, AKA hacking your 3DS and injecting it in. that's outside the scope of this guide but you can find more information here on 3ds.hacks.guide. (do not attempt to follow any 3DS hacking guide not on this website, they could be outdated and harm your 3DS!)

a nintendo network ID that your 3DS is logged into (also outside the scope of this guide but if you don't already have one, it will prompt you during the process to make one)

a switch with Pokemon Home installed, which can be downloaded for free from the switch's eShop. a nintendo switch online subscription is not required.

unfortunately, you WILL need a subscription to home's premium plan to do bank -> home transfers.

internet connection

the steps:

#1. open pokemon bank and make sure all the pokemon you want to transfer are in their own boxes, and any you don't want to transfer are not in the same boxes as the to-be-transferred pokemon.

#2. go back to the bank home menu and select the "move pokemon to pokemon home" option. when you get the notice about the transfer being one-way, you'll need to scroll down to hit "Begin".

#3. you will be prompted to select what boxes of pokemon you'd like to transfer, so pick all the applicable ones.

#4. you will then be prompted to put in the moving key from home, so turn on your switch, open pokemon home, and select the icon that looks like a 3DS on the main menu. when prompted, choose "Ready!" to get the moving key.

#5. input the moving key on the 3DS, submit it, and wait for both apps to do their thing. once bank goes back to its title screen, you can turn off the 3DS.

#6. home will go back to its title screen as well, and depending on how many pokemon you moved, you may have to wait a few minutes to get back into the app. once it's done, the next time you open home, it'll prompt you to choose how to organize your transferred pokemon into home. pick whatever you see fit.

#7. congratulations, your pokemon are safe in home!!

important things to note:

unlike all pokemon games before the switch, pokemon can actually go backwards in generation on switch, so don't worry about transferring a pokemon into scarlet/violet locking you out of moving it to sword/shield, for example. (the exception to this is LGPE - nothing can be moved into LGPE and once a pokemon is moved out of LGPE, it can't go back.)

pokemon home actually has decent hack checks, so be careful when transferring hacked/glitched/otherwise illegitimate pokemon around.

pokemon from a gen 3/4 game will have their met location set to "Poke Shifter" - this is an alternative translation of the japanese name for the Poke Transporter.

pokemon on switch can only transfer into games that contain that pokemon in its dex, so not everything transferred can go into scarlet/violet, for example.

and that's it!!

there's a lot of other quirks to the pokemon transferring process at pretty much all steps, so if you run into an unusual issue or have specific questions about how pokemon data is changed in minute ways across the franchise, i would encourage you to do your own research, all of this stuff is pretty heavily documented by the fanbase. this is just meant to be a guide for casual users, and a quick reference.

this guide of course does not cover options for transferring in alternative ways, but it's worth mentioning that if you have a hacked 3DS and the ability to back up save files at any point from gens 3 -> 5, you can use PKHeX to transfer pokemon into the 3DS titles, then move them to bank and transfer to home normally from there. that's outside the scope of this guide and i'd also encourage you to do your own research for that.

Hey! I was just wondering if you have any ideas of how I can display the fact that a character has aged (not necessarily from adult to elder but just in general) without describing appearance. I’ve tried searching it up but they never really want into detail or they simply advised on changing the character slightly as in giving them old fashioned hobbies. I’m sorry if this has already been answered or does not simply have a direct way and must be decided by the author. Again I am very sorry if this has already been asked I really don’t mind if you either direct me to the answer or copy and paste it if so :)

Showing a Character Has Aged

When it comes to illustrating that someone has aged, you basically have four choices: describe physical characteristics that illustrate age, describe physical activities that illustrate age, indicate the passage of time, flat-out state that the character has aged.

The problem is that aging isn't a wildly specific thing. People don't take on certain physical characteristics, appearance, or activities at exactly the same age. While there are certainly some activities and behaviors that are broadly specific to age categories, age is not accurately defined by behavior, thought process, personality, etc.

If I say, "The last time I'd seen my nephew he was barely crawling, and now he was not just walking, but climbing on everything..." that's a pretty good indicator that this child has aged. But how much? Because babies don't all learn to crawl at the exact same age, or learn to walk at the exact same age for that matter. Some babies skip crawling and go straight to walking. Other babies seem like they'll never go from crawling to walking and suddenly do. This child could be two weeks older than last time or two years older. It isn't clear at all.

Complicating things is the fact that physical appearance is also not a good indicator of age. I mean... as I've pointed out in the past, Paul. Rudd:

Carrol O'Connor (on the left) is the same age in that photo as Paul Rudd is in the photo on the right (both are early 50s here). And while things like hairstyle and fashion do have an impact on how we view someone's age, some people just get wrinkles/gray hair/gain weight/lose muscle tone sooner or later than others.

And, the advice to "give them old-fashioned hobbies" is terrible. "Old-fashioned hobbies"? What, like candle-making and churning butter? What does that even mean? Maybe these people view hobbies like knitting, stamp collecting, and wood-working as "old-fashioned," but I guarantee those are hobbies that are broadly enjoyed by young people to this day.

If I write, "She sat on the couch lovingly knitting a sweater," that tells me nothing about her actual age because:

And, again, the woman on the left could be sixteen or thirty-five, and the woman on the right could be sixty-two or eighty-six.

So, outside of flat out stating that a character has aged, your best bet is to use a combination of these methods to get the point across...

"It had been over ten years since I last saw Mr. Smith. At the time, he'd recently returned from hiking in the Alps. Now he was hunched over a walker, his formerly salt-and-pepper hair now stark white. The deep grooves that had once made his face look handsome and worldly now made him look wizened and tired."

Between stating the amount of time that has passed (over ten years), physical activities (hunched over a walker vs hiking in the alps), and physical appearance (white hair and tired wrinkles vs salt-and-pepper hair and handsome lines), it is very clear that Mr. Smith has aged quite a bit in the decade since the POV character last saw them.

very good question i think there's no like guaranteed way to get him to conk out it's a lot of trial and error and most of the time they simply fail. having spent the majority of the night trying to get mob to fall asleep, they trudge through the next day on like 2 hours of snooze time and simply pray tonight they'll have better luck

the best method they've found is to get him somewhere quiet and peaceful, lie him down or get him to rest against something, and simply sit there quietly. he gets distracted easily by noise, so getting somewhere quiet is a must. somewhere dark is preferred too. they can't always get him to lie down since he's stubborn and Immovable so they settle for getting him to sit against something he can slouch on and getting him as comfy as possible

if they talk too much or start bickering mob will likely latch onto their convo since it's the only thing around to listen to, and then he won't fall asleep cuz he's too enthralled by their voices, so they have to just sit there. tome once tried to pretend to fall asleep to give him the idea "hey maybe i should do that too" and ritsu was desperate enough to copy her.it didn't work. if it weren't for the fact that they're Worried about how negatively all this lack of sleep has to be impacting his health, they'd find this whole scenario funny

it's def not fullproof, but if they're quiet for long enough and mob's body is Tired enough, he'll eventually drift off like ,,70% of the time. sometimes mob gets too stubborn and will keep moving around and shoving the blankets off of him, sometimes the space they're in just isn't quiet enough and he can hear little animals in the leaves around him. and sometimes everything goes perfectly and yet he's still awake and staring at either of them, seemingly confused on this lack of movement since they always seem to be movin somewhere, but ultimately content to just sit here

ritsu has a little mental map of how much sleep mob gets and it's lookin dismal. every time mob goes more than like 3 days without sleeping he starts gettin real stressed. it def doesn't help that after a while mob will start acting like he's seeing shit that isn't there, or hearing things that they don't

and alsoYEESSS YES that Is when ritsu fainted<33 poor mob has alarm bells ringin in his head but no idea how to respond to them past the brain fog

i have a question for other people out there who may be like me and have a taste in music that is confusing, weirdly specific, random, inconsistent, and really hard to explain to other people; HOW do you go about finding new music? do you have a method that's successful most of the time? or do you, like me, just keep desperately listening to playlist after playlist and album after album and hoping to get lucky by finding a song or two?

when people try to give me recs they ask me what genres i like and i just say "nothings off limits" but it's not in a "i'll listen to anything" kinda way, it's that there's just something about certain songs that makes my brain go "YES" and every genre has the potential to have some songs that scratch that itch. pretty sure genre actually has little to no bearing on what i like.

there's a few specific genres i end up listening to quite a bit more than other genres but i don't think that's cause there's actually anything "special" about them for me, i think it's just kinda incidental and a result of how spotify will be like "oh you liked a few songs from this one specific genre?? so it's your favorite genre???? you want to hear nothing but songs from this genre for the rest of time????" and so the vast majority of my recs on spotify are just from these few genres and i've just fallen into a loop of them. i don't even end up liking the vast majority of songs that get recommended to me anyway, and whenever i go to ANY genre-specific playlist i only end up liking a couple, if even that many. so yeah it doesn’t seem like genre matters at all.

i think it's more about the rhythm/melody/vibe of a song (and maybe it could have something to do with the bpm of a song but idk) but there still doesn't appear to be much consistency for me. like spotify has the playlists that are like "chill mix"/"energetic mix"/"moody mix"/etc. and it's the same as when i listen to a genre mix. i CAN find songs i like in any mix but i'll still maybe only like 1 song for every 25 i listen to. and it's also the same with artists and albums in general.

like basically i think the problem boils down to how there's no way to label my taste. like there's no key words or phrases for me to use to tell people or search engines what i'm looking for.

my best bet is just showing people the songs i like, and seeing if they can hear some kind of pattern, and can give me recs based on that. this is what i do with my sister, cause she's also kinda the same, having an inconsistent and indefinable taste in music, and the things we like overlap a little so i tend to get good recs from her, but that's obviously also dependent on her being able to find new songs, which doesn't happen a lot.

i don't usually have the ability to just ask someone who kinda understands my taste to give me recs, and when i do there's no guarantee they'll even have any, and i wanna find a way to be able to search for new music on my own.

Some thoughts and details on my last Gamefly rental, Dragon Ball FighterZ(Switch version; no DLC).

There's an original story mode in this instead of retreading the main Sagas like usual, split into 3 Arcs(that seem to be alternate timelines?). Beating all 3 Arcs will unlock Hard Mode for the first one, and I believe the rest get it once you finish the previous one in Hard Mode.

For this story, an unnamed Earthling Soul links with the Z-Fighters, a few villains who've been revived and/or the Androids after strange waves incapacitate them all as a huge wave of clones of many Z-Fighters and villains go on the attack and is somehow able to allow them to fight again. They're weakened, however, so you'll be raising your Link Ratio(i.e. levels gained from experience) with them to make them stronger.

Battles are done in any combination of 1 to 3 available fighters in Story Mode, and I think always 3v3 outside of it. The ones you aren't playing as can be called in for Assist Attacks or switched out with your current fighter.

Something I think unique to DB FighterZ is that, when one fighter is KO'd, instead of them tagging in normally, they'll fly in and arm clash with the winner of the last round, then both will jump to the starting positions before the player(s) gets control back.

Constantly fighting the clones over and over, as well as how the maps work(they're laid out like a game board, with different panels to move to, one at a time), reminds me of Budokai 2's story mode, which looked similar, and where later on, you had to repeatedly fight Majin versions of Frieza and Cell. At least there's more variety here, though it can get repetitive.

Here are the unlock conditions for Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta:

For use in Story Mode, they must reach level 40. The easiest way I found was to redo the second to last battle in the third Arc over and over and equip them with Skills that increase EXP.

For use outside Story Mode: You need to earn 300,000 Zeni for SSB Vegeta and 500,000 Zeni for SSB Goku. Alternatively, you need to beat the 'Extreme Gravity Spaceship Course' on Hard in Arcade Mode, and get A Rank(Vegeta)/beat 'Hyperbolic Time Chamber Course' on Hard(Goku). There are Skills that increase the Zeni you earn to make the grind a bit easier, though I don't know a good farming method.

After starting the game, and selecting if you want to play online or offline, you'll be put into a Hub where you can walk or fast travel with ZL to different parts of it for each Mode.

In Arcade Mode, you can fight a set of 3, 5 or 7 matches, with Hard Mode for each being unlocked after clearing on Normal. I've heard Hard Mode really lives up to it's name, reaching 'SNK Boss' levels at times, too.

There's a Shop in the Hub where you can spend Zeni earned from fights on Z-Capsules, either 1 or 10 at a time, which can give you, alternate character colors, various customization options for your Lobby character that walks around the Hub or your online Player Card. If you get a repeat from a Z-Capsule, you'll instead get Premium Coins. Using them, either 10 or 100, will guarantee that you get items from Z-Capsules that you don't have yet.

In the Story Mode menu, there's a Gallery that lets you view story scenes that you've found, and this includes 'Special Events', which can happen when specific characters enter a battle. They're shown here in silhouette, with enemies marked in red, until you see them, and some are specific to each Story Arc. I like these, they usually have some interesting or amusing conversations between the characters.

The Boot Camp/FighterZ Dojo Mode is full of gameplay tutorials, which also pop up often in the first Story Mode Arc on Normal(doing them there also gives you some extra Zeni).

During non-Story game modes, you can collect the Dragon Balls and make a wish by making large combos, 70+ hits needed for the last one. More details here.

By winning fights under specific conditions outside of Story Mode, you can trigger a Dramatic Finish, where iconic moments from the series, plus some new ones, can play out. Here are the conditions to initiate each Dramatic Finish.

Yamcha feels like he got thrown a bone in this game: he feels fun to play(and is the type of fighter I'm good at), and can even get a reversal of his infamous death in a Dramatic Finish against Nappa.

Krillin and Android 18 have some really nice moments in this, and I want to see more of that.

Like with GBF Versus, the graphic style and animations are very well done. I watched a video from Boundary Break that showed how it looks away from what the player can see, and how some shots were made to work look really silly. XD

Will they have a "happy" ending (get together) at all? I love to see all this horrible they-are-so-bad-for-each-other dynamic and it makes me wonder just how compatible Astarion and Hescrates really are (or not).

Much like the game, I have multiple endings and multiple AUs for these two chuckle fucks, and how it plays out depends a lot on whether they can overcome the worst of their tendencies around power and freedom. They're good for each other in that they understand where the other is coming from on a deeply personal level, and bad for each other in that they enable the other's selfishness and distrust for the world. The fact that they eventually come to trust/maybe even love one another is antithetical to their whole "I'm in this for myself" notions, and I like the idea of them both struggling with the cognitive dissonance of it. Here are the "canon" headcanon timeline endings lol.. Bear in mind these are from pre-release so there was no concept of "ascending" at the time. (It's... long. I'm sorry I have brainworms) Bad end 1 Cazador is defeated, Astarion turns fully, and out of fear/twisted love/entitlement/whatever, Hescrates is enthralled against their will. Attachment becomes possession, talons closing in. They eventually trick Astarion into finishing the process and become a bitter, eternal nemesis. Or as I like to call it, divorced. Bad end 2

They lose. Badly. Cazador regains control and commands Astarion to kill Hescrates. They've had to kill a lover that turned on them before, but it's different when the person coming at you with a knife is begging you to run. If Hesc dies, it just reinforces to Astarion that he will never escape, that any and all attachment is a grave mistake. If Astarion dies, Caz gets a new spawn - probably the most stubborn he's ever had, lol. Hesc would probably neg him for having shite torture methods. Mid end

They leave Cazador alone and Astarion mooches off Hescrates' begrudging generosity. I think this one is funny because he gets to be all silk no vitamins again, this time with a parade of knights forced to clean up after him. Happy end Cazador is defeated, and the cognitive dissonance I mentioned goes the other direction. It turns out that there is value to helping at least some people. Attachment becomes respect and trust, the desire to see the other free, even if that means letting go of the notion of "'safety' forever". In this one I like to imagine that Astarion breaks free of the cycle first; relinquishing power while Hescrates protests. "Why would you do this? Isn't this what we've been working towards this whole time?" Because they're part of a cycle too, except they'd chosen the power option long ago. It doesn't make sense. (I wrote Hescrates to have murdered their nine siblings 2 years ago when I designed them, and it honestly threw me for a loop when the game released that A, Astarion has "siblings" and B, he also has the option of sacrificing them. Just imagine my reaction when he said he had six "brothers" and "sisters" for the first time. I was DERANGED I tell you). And then it's kind of a reverse Vlad Dracula Tepes/Lisa of Lupu moment. A hapless stray cat of a vampire spawn asks a powerful, burnt out tyrant to travel the world, because there's so much he hasn't yet seen, and maybe it will look different when it's not being razed to the damned ground. "You freed me, let me free you too." By now Hescrates' petrified heart will have softened enough to agree to this objectively stupid request, and they find a way to make it happen. Neither of them will have ever fully atoned for their crimes (I always imagined this being ex-corrupt magistrate Astarion), and there is no guaranteed "safety", because this time, freedom isn't found in regal, sublime protection, it's found in the mundanity of each other's company. They'll both probably still be menaces in their own right, just... much more low key about it.

I literally do not understand why transmeds tend to be against teens transitioning. If you get why dysphoria is really that serious why deny a teen treatment? Y'all super adamant about needing dysphoria (I agree on this part) but also like no cure for you though. Only treatment for adults. Like it would be one thing to be against informed consent for teens, but like with genuine proper diagnosing (not some hack talking to them for an hour, meaning no trenders getting this) (though tbh only letting straight trans teens transition might help decrease regret rate as like I have yet to see a trender claim to be a straight man). Also transphobes against teens transitioning usually dont want adults to either, they'll always push the number higher if they could. 25 for brain development, but I guarantee if they got to that they'd say more time to experience after hitting full brain development. You're never old enough to know but also later is too old anyway. Also, genuinely curious as to what resource you say they should get as literally nothing other than transition helped my mental health in any way. It's not like a therapist hits you and the head with a wand and you feel better. It's not like talking about anything can solve these issues.

Eh… like I’ve said before. It’s a situation that requires some nuance, but overall the rule should be no minors transitioning, but perhaps with some exceptions. Of course dysphoria is a bitch, but there are ways to help trans kids and teens that aren’t immediately jumping to the medical side of things.

I’m against puberty blockers for trans kids wholesale because frankly they just cause more problems than they solve, ethical issues nonwithstanding. But I also don’t necessarily see a problem with a 16/17 year old starting HRT, given that they’ve had persistent dysphoria since childhood and have cleared it with a doctor and a psychologist.

It is definitely annoying that both sides seem to want this to be a black and white issue when it’s not. However, the fact that transphobes will use any kind of medical mistreatment of (potentially) trans minors to try and prevent adults from transitioning means that minors transitioning should be handled with the utmost care, in addition to the fact that a lot of kids and teens think they’re trans adamantly before settling out as adults.

And yeah, the “25 bc brain development” reasoning is dogshit and that’s not how the world works. There are things that have 21 as a limit that I think should be lowered back down to 18 because it the age of legal adulthood and if you can go to war, vote, acquire debt, live independently, etc, you can start making your own medical decisions too. Again, given that there is also a degree of ethical practice on the part of the doctor as far as informing the patient and assuring that the treatment s correct, etc.

Usually when I and other transmed aligned people talk about “other resources” we’re typically talking about mental health services and other methods of alleviating dysphoria like safe binding, voice training, packing/tucking, etc that aren’t invasive or medical but can ease some dysphoria and aid passing. Obviously theses things don’t solve everything, but medical transition isn’t a magic fix-all either. But I think it would help trans kids/teens specifically to have a baseline of trans-specific coping skills since it’s typically unethical imo for minors to go on HRT or have trans related surgeries on the whole.

Dusty's Low-Effort Shiny Hunting Guide for Pokemon: Legends Arceus

Hello! I got PLA for Christmas and have already filled an entire box up with shinies, so I figured, I'm pretty much an expert at this point, so why not share some tips? (That's a joke. I'm not a professional shiny hunter, I just love this game a lot.)

Disclaimer: If you are looking to hunt a specific Pokemon, this method is not for you. This is for people who don't have the patience for normal shiny hunting methods but still like shinies. Or just people who want a lot of shinies and don't care which ones.

Without further ado, let's go!

Step 1: Complete your Pokedex and unlock Massive Mass Outbreaks. You could probably use this method without completing the Pokedex, but I cannot guarantee the results would be as good without the boost. You don't need the Shiny Charm (I don't have it (probably)) and you don't need Perfect entries, but getting to research level 10 on every Pokemon seems to boost your odds enormously on its own.

Step 2: Ready your party. I have a strong core of three level 100s (Samurott, Gastrodon, and Infernape), but I don't think that's necessary. What you need is coverage, strength, and PP. Preferably, you should be able to one-shot most Pokemon you encounter, tank a lot of hits, and have enough PP on your moves that you only rarely have to heal mid-excursion (though it isn't too terrible if you have to heal every once in a while).

Step 3: Start going to Massive Mass Outbreaks. Hop on Braviary and hit up every outbreak in the region, keeping your eyes peeled. There will be four spawns in each outbreak; if there's a shiny, catch it and then check if the new spawn is shiny. If there's no shiny, move on. The goal is to briefly look at every outbreak in the area before the rainstorm/blizzard ends to see if any of the initial spawns are shiny.

If there's a Pokemon you really like, or you want to check the secondary horde, you can clear out the whole outbreak, which is where your team comes in. Frankly, I don't know if the timer keeps going while you're in battle, but still, I recommend fighting and knocking out the Pokemon as fast as you can, or just scaring them off if they're timid. Then you can check the new horde, check for shinies and leave, or clear it out, too.

Fast travel when possible. Go to one place, check the outbreaks in the area, then don't waste time flying halfway across the map to the next outbreak if there's a spot you can instantly travel to near it. You'll learn the best routes for each region the more you do this; some sections are best taken on Wyrdeer or Sneasler, so don't be afraid to switch your ride when you need to.

Step 4: After you've checked every outbreak and cleared out any you're particularly interested in or the rainstorm/blizzard has ended, head back to Jubilife.

Step 5: Rinse and repeat! That's it, that's the strategy, just do this over and over again. Sometimes, you won't get any shinies. Sometimes, you'll get multiple from the same MMO, or even the same mass outbreak. I listen to YouTube videos while doing this so I don't get bored, which means I have to keep my eyes especially peeled for the visual shiny cue, but I haven't had a problem. Having Smoke Balls on-hand is useful for shinies that might flee if they see you, and always save as soon as you see a shiny, before doing anything else! If you fail one, you can just reset and they'll still be there.

I've gotten a ton of shinies this way, and I hope it works for you, too! :D
