Made a pair of lil squid fellas to sit on my desk :)

I didn’t like any of the squid patterns I found on the internet so i ended up making my own, and after some trial and error I ended up with these little guys. They’ve both even got little beaks! I’ve attached the pattern I made below if anyone wants it haha.

I used size 8 miyuki rocaille/round beads, some bugles and 0.28mm thread, but pretty much any size or shape should work. Hell, you could even use pony beads if you’re crazy enough.

If your thread’s long enough you can even do the whole thing in one go, I’d personally recommend that as it means you have less knots to tie up :).

It's finally finished! I've been working on this fabulous monster hunter monster on and off for years but finally it is completed.

The articulation is a bit less than many of the dragons I have made in the past, but it does have the new innovation of including crystals as well as glass, the ridge on its back is made of carnelian.

And now for something completely different!

Fun fact I make sure I take screen breaks throughout the day and work on something traditional. Lately I've taken up embroidery, as once I get the lines on the fabric I can just go.

So naturally the next step was to get some tiny beads and incorporate that into my work. This has been a month long project in the making, inspired by Pink Agate Geodes :>

The edging is done with size 11 glass seed beads. There’s two couched outlines and one picot edging. Needless to say, couching takes a very, very long time, lol 🐋
