I am a wife/mother/empty nester. I am a senior Swiftie. My first Taylor Swift concert was The Speak Now Tour in Milwaukee, WI.

I am so grateful to Taylor!! She saved me!! When my daughter left to go to school overseas a week after she graduated HS I feel into a state of depression. It was Taylor’s music that brought me out of this darkness of depression into the ☀️

Taylor IS my Therapist!! She is a friend I have never met but is always there!! I just love her!! I am a mama bear when it comes to her defense when needed. As an older Swiftie I have heard negative comments. I will forever have her back!!

In Minneapolis during the REP Tour I was lucky to meet Taylor’s mom Andrea. She approached me & just hugged me 😭🥰 She brought us up to the stage to see Taylor up close. We were dancing 💃🏼 💃🏼 & singing as Taylor was singing Blank Space. She invited us into the VIP booth. She is the sweetest person 🥰 My one regret is I wish I would have talked to her. At the time I felt she has been so generous & I didn’t want to over step any boundaries. I SHOULD HAVE TALKED WITH HER!!! I did see The Era’s Tour in Minneapolis & I missed her. I was on the other side of the stadium. BUT my daughter & her hubby surprised me with tickets for the show in Tokyo!! 💝 They both live & work there. I will be there night 1 !!!! I will be leaving for Japan on Wednesday!!! I will be there for 2 weeks. My daughter lives walking distance to the Tokyo Dome & so I will be there each day🥰 @taylorswift I hope I can meet you one day!! You are my Hero & Inspiration even though I am your mom’s age 😁 I have learned so much from you. You have made me a stronger person. Having an abusive childhood I had this low self esteem most of my life. You taught me I do matter & I can say no without feeling guilty!!! 💝🥰 Thank you for giving me this inner strength I never knew existed 💝❤️🥰 I am so grateful for being a part of your world 💝❤️🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 I LOVE YOU!!!! @taylorswift @taylornation

Thank you for our experience of a lifetime! Not only the FANTASTIC concert, but meeting up with other swifties. Met two young SWIFTIES in the hotel lobby making friendship bracelets for the DenverTheTSErasTour concert! So what else do SWIFTIES do! We gave them some of ours ! Their smiles! 😃Then what Swiftie magic! 🪄 We we were seated right next to another mother and daughter Swiftie pair! Swiftnesss is a state of MIND….Not AGE! We were dancing like we were 22 again! As an OG Swiftie the only interaction I’ve ever had with @taylorswift was on MySpace... and screenshots didn’t exist back then. I don’t expect or think I deserve any notice. I’m just happy to enjoy her music and the experience of it all, while meeting some amazing friends.

I can still vividly remember talking about this new artist, Taylor Swift, before school in 7th grade. Little did I know just how integral to my life Taylor would be. Like soooo many other swifties, I got to grow with her, and her music always seemed to just perfectly follow my life. Even now, at 29, it always seems to fit perfectly.

Eras was the first tour I have ever been able to go to. My sister and I went, and it was the most incredible night. Seeing this woman who I feel like I've grown up together with, singing songs from throughout both of our lives, with my sister, with 70k other people. It was surreal! I may not be a super swiftie, but just ask my husband - Taylor and her music has and does get me through life. I've also had the best time sharing her music with my kiddo and creating another little swiftie in the house. Being a swiftie parent is almost cooler than just being a swiftie.

This post has taken a winding turn, but so has my swiftie journey. Can't thank her enough for giving us her art, emotions, and sharing bits of her life to make us all feel like we have a friend.
