SHRI MAROOF RAZA: Hello and welcome to another episode of Heart of the Matter, a programme on international affairs that looks at issues from India’s perspective. Today we shall be discussing the Jammu and Kashmir elections.
We have with…
Since there’s a lot of new fans and fans in general that don’t know the timeline, here’s a simplified version of Leon’s timeline in the series spanning all of the games, canon novelizations, and CGI movies.
1977- Leon is born sometime before September 29th, likely somewhere in the northern United States based on his pronunciation and accent in the games. His new VA is from Boston, so do with that information what you will.
1977- pre 1998- Leon’s family** is murdered and he is orphaned according to the original source material for RE2. It’s unknown what happened in between these times other than Leon’s family was murdered. It’s implied that they were part of an organized crime group but they were somehow involved in crime and that is why they were killed. Leon was supposed to die as well but was rescued by a cop, which is why he wanted to become one when he was older. From the same source, Leon is Italian-American. **The text specifically states family, not parents, so it is possible that Leon had siblings, lived with his grandparents as well, etc.
May/June 1998- Leon decides to become a cop like the man that saved him and enrolls in a police academy. The average length of the academy program is anywhere from 4ish to 6ish months and Leon was fresh out of the academy in September.
September of 1998- Leon is now 21. He graduated from some police academy with high scores and requested to be placed at Raccoon City, Missouri because he was fascinated by the murders in the Arklay Mountains. Raccoon City is likely Springfield Missouri.
September 29, 1998- Leon wakes up late after getting **drunk in a motel the night before. His girlfriend broke up with him resulting in him heavily drinking and then passing out. Hungover, he hastily finishes his drive to Raccoon City even though he was told not to come in (due to the outbreak, but Leon didn’t know that at the time). He arrived in the city around 10 pm. (RE2) **Although Leon says he got the call to stay away in RE2, he says he was “late as hell on his first day” in Infinite Darkness (which came out after RE2R), so it appears either both events happen or the drunk in the motel version is what Capcom is leaning toward.
September 30, 1998- Leon meets Ada and Leon, Claire, and Sherry escape from Raccoon City sometime before 7:22 am. (RE2)
October 1, 1998- Simmons votes in favor of Operation: Bacillus Terminate and the US government sends missiles to destroy Raccoon City, decimating the area and killing everyone there. They hid all the evidence of their involvement in the outbreak. (RE2 & RE3)
October - November 1998- Claire bids farewell to Leon and Sherry and goes to find Chris in Paris. At some point, Leon and Sherry are kidnapped by the US government. Leon is interrogated by Adam Benford, who was an agent at the time, and Sherry is take from Leon and put in Derek C. Simmons’ custody. Benford tells Leon that they will kill Sherry unless he agrees to join their top-secret program. Now a part of STRATCOM, Leon sends a friend and detective named Ark Thompson to Sheena Island (Resident Evil: Survivor).
December 1998- Claire Redfield is held prisoner on Rockfort Island and manages to send Leon an email explaining what happened. Using the resources from the government, Leon is able to track down Chris and give him the information Claire provided (Code Veronica).
Late 1998-2002- Leon is now part of STRATCOM’s top-secret program called the Anti-Umbrella Pursuit and Investigation Team (or at least that’s what it was originally called, no word on this in the remakes thus far). Jack Krauser, a Major in the Army, becomes Leon’s Superior Officer and trains him, and seemingly the rest of Leon’s unit. Leon likely would’ve been living on or near Offutt Air Force Base near Omaha, Nebraska since that is STRATCOM HQ. Behind the scenes, the government is planning a mission to take out the cartel in South America. They select a special unit for the mission. There’s a conspiracy that either the government or top-brass within STRATCOM decided that the ultimate goal of the mission would be to get rid of the team they are sending. In other words, they planned for everyone to die.
2002- Leon is now 24 or 25 depending on his birthday and he, Krauser, and several other men are sent on Operation Javier, a mission to take out the cartel in a jungle in South America. The entire unit dies sans for Krauser and Leon. The unit was overwhelmed and the government didn’t send an extraction team or any back up, leaving Krauser and Leon to fight their way home on their own. Krauser was injured on the mission, resulting in him being discharged from the military. He fakes his death in a helicopter crash, later joining Wesker/Los Illuminados. Operation Javier was originally in Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles, but RE4R has altered the events of the game it seems.
Fall 2004- Krauser aids in Ashley Graham’s abduction (she’s President Graham’s daughter) and the government suspects there is a traitor within the secret service. They send several agents from other agencies (due to the possible mole) out to chase various potential leads all over the world in order to find Ashley. One of these agents was Leon, who happened to get the winning lead. He is sent to a remote village in rural Spain called Valdelobos. The events of RE4 take place. Leon is now 27. After he completed the mission, Leon wrote what is known as the Kennedy Report, which, in a rare display of giving a fuck, the US government shared with the BSAA in order to create better defenses against Las Plaga. The US gov notoriously hates the BSAA and won’t let them operate in the US/aid with any disasters in US.
November 2005- A terrorist attack at the Harvardville Airport results in an outbreak of the t-virus. The attack traps Senator Ron Davis inside (along with Claire, Rani, and several other civilians). President Graham sends Leon in to aid with the situation. The events of Degeneration happen. Leon turns 28.
2006-
1. The FBI reviews footage of an explosion and the bomb squad report from a terrorist attack at The Carnegie Museum of Art on Forbes, Avenue in Pittsburg, PA. They hand the files over to Leon and request he investigates the incident since the bombs used in the attack were the same ones used in a previous assignment Leon had dealt with, and the suspects from that case were still at large. **This is from the comic Resident Evil Infinite Darkness: The Beginning, only the 1st issue is out, so this is all the information I have about this event
2. Immediately following the events with the Museum, Leon is rushed to the White House to join a team of specially selected federal agents in leading the investigation of an unidentified hack of confidential files. The plot of Infinite Darkness ensues. Leon turns 29 at some point in 2006.
2007- pre-February, 2011- At some point between these years, Leon is placed on furlough meaning, because he’s a federal employee, he was not deemed essential and was temporarily laid off.
1. Claire Redfield invites Leon to a TerraSave reunion party where he meets Chris. Hunnigan was also present at the event, or otherwise heard about the event as noted from the files in RE6.
2. February 2nd 2011- The DSO (Department of Security Operations) is established and agents from various agencies are selected by the organization and undergo rigorous training. Leon is selected for the department. At some point before the events of Damnation, Leon was on vacation. Since the DSO is based in Washington D.C, Leon would be living there if he wasn’t already, but since the Anti-Umbrella unit was dismantled after Umbrella’s collapse in 2003, Leon likely would’ve already been in DC by the time RE4 was taking place.
3. February 2011- Leon is “screwed out of his vacation” and sent to investigate the use of BOWs in the Eastern Slav Republic’s civil war. He was meant to meet up with a CIA agent, codename: Scarecrow, to get information for the mission. The plot of Damnation ensues. Notably, an American-Russian joint task force storms the ESR’s capital and America had meddled with the situation. Leon argues with Hunnigan about the US’s involvement at the end of the movie. Leon is either 33 or 34 depending on his birthday.
June 29, 2013- Leon is sent to Tall Oaks University and talks to President Adam Benford who plans to reveal what the US did to Raccoon City and their involvement in the incident. Before his planned speech, a terrorist attack results in an outbreak of the c-virus happens and Benford is infected. Leon is forced to kill him. Due to Helena Harper’s involvement (coerced by Simmons) and Leon killing the president, Derek C. Simmons tries to insinuate that Leon and Helena are behind the attack. Hunnigan has them both marked as Killed in Action so they can pursue an investigation into Simmons, who they later learn was behind the attack along with Simmons’ “secret fraternity” called The Family, which had deep ties to the government and heavily influenced things. The events of Resident Evil: 6 take place. Leon turns 36 at some point in 2013.
2014-
1. Following the event of RE6 and the discovery that Simmons was a traitor, there are all sorts of conspiracies regarding who was also tied to The Family and therefore involved in the Tall Oaks incident. Benford’s VP takes his place and there’s a lot of tension between him and Leon since Leon had to kill Benford. It’s mentioned that Leon won’t even look at the new president because he is reminded of what he had to do. Nevertheless, Leon and a small team of other agents are sent to Bethesda, Maryland to apprehend Senator Stephen Ayer, who was involved with The Family. The mission goes awry when Patricio “rats out” Leon and his team, resulting in explosive being placed in Ayer’s car and the surrounding vehicles. They detonated as Leon’s unit pursued the vehicle, killing everyone except for Leon who was blown back by the explosion into a tree. The force nearly knocked him out, but when he got back to his feet, his entire unit was dead. Following the traumatizing event, Leon goes on vacation to the Rocky Mountains, Colorado where he spends his days getting drunk at the hotel bar in order to try to cope with everything that’s happened to him. **This is all from the Vendetta novelization, which is canon to the timeline and mentioned in the movie.
2. A little while into his stay at the hotel, Rebecca Chambers and Chris Redfield come to find him and convince him to join their mission to find and apprehend Glenn Arias, an arms dealer who Chris has a vendetta against. The plot of Resident Evil: Vendetta takes place in New York. Leon is either 36 or 37 depending on his birthday. Leon turns 37 at some point in 2014.
2015- Following the events of Vendetta, Maria Gomez is still on the lose. Dr. Antonio Taylor, who has vital information about BOWs, is abducted and Leon is sent to rescue him but Maria Gomez inteveins. At some point, Leon ends up on a mission with Chris and Jill Valentine on Alcatraz Island to investigate the virus that’s infecting tourists of the island. Rebecca helps them. **This is from Resident Evil: Death Island, a new CGI film which hasn’t been released yet. It’s slated to come out Summer of 2023, all the information came from the trailers and the synopsis of the movie. Leon turns 38 at some point in 2015. Update: Leon, Chris, Rebecca, Jill, and Claire are all on the mission together.
Character Age Gaps for reference:
Chris is 4 years older than Leon, Leon is 2 years older than Claire, Leon is 3 years older than Rebecca, Jill is 4 years older than Leon, Ada is 4 years older than Leon.
Side note: Yes, I’m aware that there’s blank bullet points in the text but tumblr’s bullet point formatting is horrendous and basically unreadable unless you add a gap, which there isn’t an option for so this is the best I’ve got.
Only one date is ever mentioned in-game, that being 2021. Considering that the Virtual Singer Fan Festa seems to be a stand-in for Magical Mirai 2021, we can assume that the Scramble Fan FESTA! event takes place in September 2021 (the real-life MM2021 was delayed to November due to covid-19, but the pandemic doesn't exist in-universe and MM Tokyo usually takes place at the beginning of September). There are Leo/need Daily Life social media posts that show them attending Magical Mirai, and do state the year of the event, but these can be considered promotional material for the event itself rather than canon material, especially since the characters address in-game that only one year has passed since the start of the story (despite the fact they have celebrated new year's day 4 times now. Timeloop things).
Based on this date, we can actually place exactly when every main character was born. The cutoff date for Japanese schools is April 1st, making Ena the oldest main character, being a 3rd year with a birthday of April 30th, followed by Tsukasa on May 17th, so on so forth all the way down to Kohane, a 2nd year with a birthday of March 2nd.
Considering when Scramble Fan FESTA is set, Ena, who was a 2nd year at the time, would be 17 years old. That would place her date of birth as April 30th, 2004. Additionally, while Kohane, a first year at the time, should be 15 during the event, the game considers her to be 16 due to using a set age for every grade bracket. Regardless, the event setting places her date of birth as March 2nd, 2006.
Based on this, we can conclude that:
Ena, Tsukasa, Rui, and Shizuku were born in 2004
Mafuyu, Kanade, Airi, Minori, Saki, Toya, Nene, An, Ichika, Mizuki, Emu, Haruka, Honami, and Akito were born in 2005
Shiho and Kohane were born in 2006
This also means that Ena, Tsukasa and Rui are all older than the MEIKO software (released November 5th 2004), and everyone except Kohane is older than the KAITO software (released February 17th 2006). Every main character is older than Miku, the Kagamines, and Luka based on this information.
Using the information around set ages*, we can also work out rough estimates for when the side characters were born. For example, Arata, who was 19 during the first 3 years of the game, is 3 years older than the members of VBS who were all considered to be 16. Since the members of VBS were born in the April 2005 - April 2006 school year range, Arata was likely born in the 2002-2003 school year range.
* based on how characters like Youta and Miu, who are said to be the same age as Leo/need, were both confirmed to be 16 years old before the 3rd anniversary age-up. Also Haruka's age is confirmed as 16 at a point in time when she shouldn't be 16. Timeloop things.
Based on this, the oldest living side character, Kounosuke, who was 55 pre-3rd anniversary and 39 years older than Emu, was probably born between April 1966 and April 1st 1967. On the younger side of things, Hanano, who was 14 pre-3rd anni, was likely born between April of 2007 and 2008. I've put the rest of the estimated side character DOBs under the cut.
assumed age as of 3rd anniversary in brackets (literally just pre-age-up age + 1)

Additional notes (mod is rambling atp):
Rakunosuke died when he was 98 years old. In the WxS main story, Emu says that he died a year ago. Assuming Emu was 15 at the time, they have an age gap of around 83 years. The year of birth listed here was based on that assumption.
We know that Kanade's mother died aged 30, but we do not know when she died. She is still alive in flashbacks set roughly 10 years prior to the events of game.
We do not have confirmed ages for Shindou, Arisa, Nagi, Reki, Mafuyu's parents, and Yuuki (Mizuki's sister) yet.
Considering Arisa was in a group with Shizuku, they are probably somewhat close in age. Obviously idol groups can have age ranges of several years, but Arisa's design is also closer to that of the MC designs, so she's likely somewhere around her late teens.
Yuuki left for university when Mizuki was 15, making her at least 3 years older than Mizuki. Next to the Unchanging Warmth suggests that it's a bigger gap than that.
Rui says that Asahi is the same age as him and Sakurako in A Story Where You Are the Star. Unless a fanbook eventually confirms otherwise, he is 18.
Rui also suggests that Reki is the same age as him in A Story Where You Are The Star. However since it's more vague than Asahi, I left it out. For now at least. I might come back and edit this at a later date, because he does use the same general character design as the teenagers too.
Nagi's age is left blank in the fanbook due to it not being revealed that she was dead at the time of publication. She is younger than Taiga, but we don't know by how much, but nonetheless she was likely born in the early 1980s.
A list of some alterhuman identities and groups (cut version)
About this article
This article is a five-minute read. It gives definitions and sources about (in alphabetical order) alterhumans, constelics, daemons, dragons, endels, furries, fictionfolk, nonhumans, otherkin, plural systems, therianthropes, tulpas, and vampires. These alterhuman community historians, archivists, and writers wrote this article together in August and September 2023: Orion Scribner, House of Chimeras, Page Shepard, Dinocanid, Ryuu Yumemoto, Draconic Wizard Workshop, and others. Alterhumans
In 2014, Lio of the Crossroads System created this word as an umbrella term and identity for anyone who feels they have an identity beyond the scope of how one might typically think of “being human.”^1 Later, the alterhuman advocacy group Alt+H popularized this word. According to the coiner and Alt+H, it includes but is not limited to nonhumans.^2 Some groups who can opt-in to considering themselves under the alterhuman umbrella are otherkin, therianthropes, fictionfolk, plural systems, daemians, vampires, voluntary identities, furries, and more.^3 This umbrella is very broad because its purpose is to give these communities something to unite under without erasing their distinctions.^4
Constelic
Coined by Extranth in 2021, a person who is constelic identifies with or as one or more entities, objects, concepts, species, items, or characters throughout their life.^5 A constelic may collect or hoard any number of these identities for any number of reasons, as their identities are non-inherent and are considered to be entirely extrinsic.^6 Constels may be voluntary or involuntary identities,^7 and can be intense or casual, but they are often non-permanent.^8
Daemians and daemons
Daemians are people who have daemons, which are most often described as mental constructs or a part of an individual’s consciousness which has been assigned a unique gender, form, and personality.^9 Some daemians consider themselves plural.^10 Their community started in 2002, inspired by Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials fantasy novel trilogy.^11
Dragons
The dragon community started in the 1990s in an online group called alt.fan.dragons.^12 They identify as dragons for spiritual or psychological reasons. They are draconic, and they refer to this part of themselves as their draconity.^13 In the 2000s, the dragon community started to mingle with the other communities: with dragon otherkin (dragonkin)^14 and dragon therians.^15
Endels
Mental health experts say that being alterhuman isn’t the same as being mentally ill.^16 For alterhumans who do have mental illnesses, that can be an important part of their everyday life and their sense of self. Endel is a word for alterhuman identities that are rooted in or greatly influenced by delusion. Babydog coined this word in 2021, by and for delusional alterhumans.^17
Furries
The furry fandom is a large subculture that began at sci-fi conventions in the 1980s.^18 It’s for creating and enjoying art, stories, costumes, and roleplay about fictional human-like (anthropomorphic) animal characters, called furries. Many fandom participants choose to represent themselves as their furry persona (fursona), which can be just for fun, though it can be meaningful about who they are.
Fictionfolk
Fictionfolk is an umbrella term for many sorts of identities that come partly or wholly from fiction.^19 Fictionkin identify as characters or species from fiction,^20 and their community started in the early 2000s.^21 A plural system member with origins from fiction is a fictive, which psychologists call a fictional introject.^22 When someone has the brief experience of becoming someone or something from fiction, that’s a fictionflicker, which psychologists call experience-taking.^23
Nonhumans
An umbrella term for those of us who identify as partly or wholly not human: therianthropes, otherkin, and more. Many nonhumans opt to include themselves under the alterhuman umbrella.
Otherkin
Otherkin are elves, dragons, or other beings, usually from mythology. It’s always an important part of who they are throughout their lives, not role-play for fun.^24 The community started in the Elfinkind Digest mailing list in 1990, when they started calling themselves otherkind or otherkin.^25 Their reasons for being otherkin are often spiritual, for example, from reincarnation.^26 However, otherkin is not a religion.^27
Plural systems
Plurality (or multiplicity) is an umbrella term for all experiences and identities in which more than one entity, consciousness, or pseudo-consciousness exists within one physical body,^28 for systems who are or can be diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder (DID), formerly called multiple personality disorder (MPD), as well as systems who do not meet those diagnostic criteria. Plurality and multiplicity as terms have always been inclusive of systems regardless of their origin or diagnoses.^29 Some plural systems have members who aren’t human or who are fictional characters or species.^30 Multiplicity can be an interchangeable synonym for plurality, or multiplicity can mean a form of plurality in which more than one person, self, or identity is within a single body.^31
Therianthropes
Therianthropes are people who have a lifelong identification as a certain species of animal on an integral, personal level.^32 Some are other species than animals from Earth.^33 The therian community started in 1993 in an online group, alt.horror.werewolves.^34 They developed jargon about shapeshifting to describe feeling more animal-like at some times. These changes are mental or spiritual, not physical.^35 Some have sensations of phantom limbs.^36 Some feel consistently animal-like at all times.^37 In the late 1990s and early 2000s, therians started mingling with the otherkin community.^38
Tulpas and tulpamancers
A tulpamancer is someone who practices tulpamancy, which is the act of creating tulpas.^39 A tulpa is an autonomous conscious entity who shares the body and brain of their creator.^40 Tulpamancy is often considered to be a part of the plurality umbrella.^41
Vampire Community
The vampyre or vampire community (VC) is for people who identify as vampires and require sustenance.^42 Those who drain energy are energy vampires or psi-vampires.^43 Sanguinarians drink blood.^44 Hybrid vampires need both.^45 Vampire lifestylers and donors are in the VC, too.^46
None of the above
Some participants of our communities are not themselves alterhumans. However, they’re here because they’re curious, or they’re our friends, family, and partners.

In Martha's medical log, she states that Owen is 27 during the events of Reset. We're going to talk about why we should stop accepting that as canon and start referring to Owen as being 34 during Reset.
His birthday of February 14th is always constant and isn't something I dispute. We are given two dates for his year of birth, 1974 or 1980.
1980 is on screen in Reset and I believe Exit Wounds, as well as in text published after season two. The fact that this is well documented makes it hard to argue with, and yet I will.
1974 is only ever mentioned once, in an email that was written and published on the TW website alongside Dead Man Walking. Keep in mind that this would have been written before DMW aired, which suggests that 1980 wasn't in the script that the writers were given. A few days after airing, the date in the email was changed to 1980 to match what we saw on TV.
Let's take a quick look at a Owen timeline.
Born either 1974 or 1980.
Began training as a doctor in 1994. He would either be 14 or 20.
Late 2000/early 2001 he walked out on his college girlfriend in London. He would be either 20 or 26.
In March 2001, Owen is a qualified Doctor in Cardiff. He would be either 21 or 27.
Owen was employed by Cardiff General between at least 2000 and 2002. He would have been either 20-22 or 26-28.
Lucy Marmer is brought to Owen's attention in September 2001, six months after Owen qualified. Owen would be either 21 or 27.
Katie dies in 2005, which would make Owen either 25 or 31.
Owen is hired by Torchwood in 2006, making him either 26 or 32.
Reset is set after June 2008, making Owen either 28 or 34.
Having Owen be born in 1974 puts his timeline into some form of sense. It makes him a year older than Tosh, four years older than Gwen, and nine years older than Ianto, which sits well with the dynamics. He in no way feels five years younger than Tosh, two years younger than Gwen, and three years older than Ianto.
In addition, Burn himself is born in 1974 and I frankly don't think he looks six years younger than he actually is.
In 2002: My Chemical Romance gave their first ever interview. The interview, featuring Gerard and Mikey, was for Snagglezine, a New Jersey fanzine run by two Eyeball Records interns.
Read the interview here, or below the cut!
M: I'm Michael Way, I play the bass guitar.
G: I'm Gerard Way, I'm the singer.
K: Your biggest influences?
G: Iron Maiden.
M: The Smiths.
G: At the Gates, Brit pop, Blur, Morrisey, shit like that. Like metal, like melodic metal. We're all about it, like Helloween, big influences.
M: Oh yeah. Keeper of the Seven Keys.
G: You can't hear any of our influences in our music though but it's there.
M: It's subconsciously in the music, but nobody else can pick it up unless you're looking for it, you can't really pick on what's there.
K: We hear that you just signed to Eyeball (Records). How's it feel to be signed to such a great label?
G: We're fucking really excited.
M: It's so excellent.
G: I've know Alex for a while, I probably shouldn't say that, Alex is fucking great.
M: ..and an amazing human being. We've known him and he took care of fucking Thursday and we were psyched about that, but not only that, we were really psyched to be with Pencey Prep because those kids fuckin helped us out right from the start. They gave us their tour van when we needed it, they gave us their fuckin tour van! Hambone gave us the tour van and fuckin cause they're getting a new one and they gave us a spot in their practice studio that we share with them, so we share a practice studio with them.
C: Yeah Alex got us our first interview, Thursday.
M: Yeah I remember, I was right there. No, but it's great cause it's like a family, we all hang out all the time, it's amazing.
G: We can't hang out with Thursday as much as we'd like to cause they're always on tour which is gonna happen to all our bands now.
K: Favorite bands to play with and favorite venue?
G: Pencey (Prep).
M: So far it's just Pencey (Prep) but the Loop (Lounge) was hot.
G: But the Loop, even though they don't let kids in which sucks, I don't like that 21 and over stuff, but it had great sound.
M: Yeah, there's like a professional sound guy.
G: But this place (Garfield American Legion) had great sound.
C: CBGB'S had good sound for Thursday.
M: Oh the Piebald one?
C: Yeah.
G: Oh I want to play there.
C: It's good.
M: So far we only played about 5 shows, out of 5 shows, the Loop was the best.
G: And we got an encore there.
M: Yeah people were calling for an encore.
K: That's awesome, we've never been there. Have you guys played in any bands before?
G: Me and Mikey had this band called Raygun Jones and we were like, you know, really young and he was the bass player back then too. We had a female bass player and she just dropped out so we just put a bass on Mikey pretty much the same way we did this time. We put a bass on him and said play. We trained him.
M: Yeah exactly. It's like I normally play guitar but like my brother came up to me with the material and I was just so blown away that I had to join. I was like, "I don't care what I play" and "I have to be in this somehow".
G: He really filled out our band. We had a good vibe going anyway but then when he was in it, it clicked. And that's why, the way you saw us play out there today, we weren't playing like that until Mikey was playing tight with us and joining.
K: How long have you guys been established and what was your reason for starting a band?
G: The band, uh, me and Otter really got together in November, I believe, and the real reason we established it was because it has a lot to do with the September 11th attack. I was on my way to get ready for a Cartoon Network meeting because I do cartoons and stuff and he had that option. We saw the plane hit right from the train and when we got there we were all just standing on the pier in Hoboken like right on the edge. There's like 300 people that were friend and family and we all saw it go down. That's when I realized that doing this cartoon was bullshit, I love to draw and make art but it was so commercial, it was just that I felt like having meetings with people in suits, it just made me realize what the hell I'm doing with my life. That's what our 1st song that we always open with "Skylines and Turnstyles" is about. It's about the Trade Center.
C: Although I'm a big fan of the Cartoon Network and like 3 in the afternoon in your pajamas...
G: Yeah but dealing with them is not fun. That actually got it and everyone like came together through the music. It's like therapy.
K: How did you get the name and does it imply that you guys are quite the partiers?
M & G: Hahaha Oh!!!
G: We used to call Mike "Mikey Party" but now he's "Mikey Romance".
K: That's how we met you!
M: Yeah it was at a party.
G: It's like 11 different meanings for the band. You can take them anywhere. On a personal level, for me, it's about anti-depressants. I was like so depressed about a year ago and I just wanted to cut my fuckin face off. It's also like a reference to Irvine Welsh and his books.
M: All his books are like classified as Chemical Romances. It's like love stories where there's like drugs involved.
C: Yeah, I went to google to see if you guys had a site and all his stuff came up.
M: Yup yup, Irvine Welsh. Now there's only 2 people so far that picked up on that. Two people were like "Whoa, you mean like Irvine Welsh?". But it's a personal level, like we took the name and we brought it to a personal level.
G: Yeah it really means for me anti-depressants. Like we drink beer and shit...
M: We like to party.
K & C: Hell yeah.
G: We drink and party, we rock and roll man.
K: Yeah, the most "un-edge" name, right?
G: We don't like do drugs though.
C: You're not my friend then. (haha, he's kidding).
M: Yeah we don't need drugs to have a good time.
:: Gerard announces slumber party and that guitar player takes guitar to a whole new level because he has a gash and is bleeding::
K: One more serious one, what do you guys think of the sudden outburst of bands on indie labels such as Thursday, Phantom Planet, Hot Water Music, and Rival Schools being played on MTV2 and MTVX?
G: I think, I always thought this because I've been an artist with comics from that whole scene too. Anything from the underground eventually makes its way up. It's like something underground, it's new and fresh and it's eventually gonna make its way up to the tv. It's bound to happen, it happens with everything. Nirvana is the best example of it and I think that's what's gonna happen with Jersey and I think it's gonna be great.
M: I think it's like survival of the fittest cause like whoever's doing it for the right reasons is gonna survive and whoever's doing it for the wrong reasons is gonna get chopped and fried and we all know who's doing it for the right reasons.
C: Yeah we know. Do you guys like Dragon Tales?
G: We're Lord of the Rings fans.
M: No, he's talking about the cartoon.
C: ...on PBS.
G: The only exposure I have with Dragon Tales is that little kids come in and ask for the cd @ B & N.
C: Best Valentine's gift you ever got?
G: I'm about to get one right now but I haven't seen it yet. Shit. I haven't really gotten any. I got roses, I love roses so a girl got me roses. That was pretty cool.
M: You know what, I can't even remember getting one because there hasn't been a powerful female outlet in my life to give me a Valentine's day gift. So there's no Valentine's day gift I can remember.
C: No little candy hearts from grandma or mom or anything like I usually get?
M: No way!
K: You got frogs this year.
M: You're lucky dude.
C: Yeah I got frogs from her. Disney character that most represents you?
M: Donald Duck.
G: Yeah Mike dressed up like Donald Duck in 2nd grade.
M: It was a fuckin rad costume, my grandma made it.
G: It was fuckin hot and then the next year he dressed up as a stay puff marshmallow.
M: And it was also really hot.
G: Mr. Toad.
C: Would you guys ever cover "The Lady Is A Tramp" by Frank Sinatra?
M: It could be done.
G: Could we do that?
M: It could totally be done.
G: Yeah I could see us doing that.
M: Cause Frankie's awesome.
G: What about doing a Dean Martin or a Sammy?
M: Those guys knew how to party man.
C: The Rat Pack.
G: The Sans Crew. Vegas man. We want to bring Hambone with us cause he always wins on slots.
M: He's the King of Slots.
::tangent on Hambone::

a (potentially incomplete) list of all the times Jason’s memorial case has been smashed
These are all the times I could find, but I don’t want to say definitively there aren’t other moments. Please only add others if you can say what they are from!
Batman vol 1 #497 (July 1993) - Bruce is thrown into the case by Bane. This is the first time the case is ever broken.
Batman: Shadow of the Bat #73 (April 1998) - The case is destroyed during an earthquake that hits Gotham.
Batman vol. 1 #600 (March 2002) - Dick punches it by accident during a fight with Bruce.
Batman vol 1 #657 (September 2006) - Tim falls on the case after being knocked out by Damian with a punch.
Batman and Robin vol 2 #10 (June 2012) - Tim throws Damian into the case during a fight that Damian started
Batman and Robin vol 2 #21 (June 2013) - Barbara smashes it in anger at Bruce’s behavior after the death of Damian
EDIT:
Robin Rises: Omega (July 2014) - This is the Barbara scene again so it’s technically not new but I figured I’d add it.
And from @chibi-keebo
Nightwing vol 3. #30 (May 2014) - Batman just kind of tosses Dick on top of it.
Batman (Vol. 3) #5 (August 2016) - Thrown by "Gotham Girl" in a fit of anger and dispair. Interesting one of the few times its not a direct "batfamily" member breaking it.
Bonus:
Conclusion: stop fighting in the batcave, you children. Also, surprisingly--as far as I’m aware, Jason himself has never broken it.
Here is this month's end-of-month update on Tumblr's top and bottom four films. Remember that you can view the full ranked list of movies that have come up on this blog by clicking here and that you can view last month's end-of-month update by clicking here.
As of today, the top four films with the highest percentage of “yes” votes are:
Monsters, Inc. (2001) | The Incredibles (2004) | Ratatouille (2007) | Aladdin (1992)
And the bottom four with the lowest percentage of “yes” votes are:
Babysitting (2014) | The Source (2002) | Advantageous (2015) | My Father and My Son (2005)
The top four movies all remained the same between months, while the bottom four remained the same except for the new addition of The Source (2002).
Currently, The Incredibles (2004) is the still only film to receive absolutely zero “haven’t heard of this” votes!
Also, since it's become a topic of discussion recently, I made a pie chart breaking down all of the genres seen in the 35 movies that received majority "yes" votes. Here it is:
The top three most popular genres are family (with 21 movies,) adventure (with 18 movies,) and comedy (with 18 movies.)
Keep in mind that this chart is based on what Letterboxd defines these movies' genres as, so you might find that you disagree with how certain films are categorized (for instance, the "music" genre describes films that are about music, not necessarily musicals. There is no "musical" genre on Letterboxd.)
CLAMP made a decently big announcement on their twitter/X.
CLAMP post that leads to link above.
Flying Dog licensed music is now available on most streaming sites, which means X and CLAMP Campus Detectives soundtracks. From my understanding, it's a worldwide release.
This also helps to fill out Ali Project's discography available on Spotify too, as they made some songs for CLAMP Campus Detectives.
The list of Albums affected are listed below, copied from the original link and translated by ChatGPT. Please keep that in mind since ChatGPT has been acting a bit more unreliable as of late.
