I baked too many cookies

I’m real proud of myself. I never had the motivation to do anything like this. But the new job and the SSRI’s have really helped with my zest for life. Now my biggest concern is who to give all these cookies to before they go stale or I eat myself into a coma.

☕ SEQUILHOS ☕

.150 gr amido de milho60 gr açúcar90 gr manteiga/margarina (fiz com creme vegetal)1/4 cc essência de laranja2 a 3 cc água (ou trocar a essência e água por suco de limão).Com as mãos ir misturando o amido, açúcar, margarina e essência até virar uma farofinha, depois acrescentar a água aos poucos até a massa virar uma bola (veja a consistência no vídeo, não pode ficar molenga!) Fazer rolinhos e cortar, colocar em assadeira forrada com papel manteiga untada ou assalight (ou untada e enfarinhada com amido) levar para gelar por 5 min, depois fazer marcação com um garfo e levar para assar em forno pré aquecido a 200° por 15 min..⚠️ Com manteiga ele fica mais "derretendo" na boca mas com margarina (creme vegetal) fica bem bom também!.⚠️ A massa não pode ficar molenga então coloque a água ou suco de limão bem aos poucos, pois caso contrário irá desmanchar enquanto assa! E se colocar mais amido a mais ficará dura depois!!!.⚠️ Sequilhos são branquinhos mesmos não espere ficarem dourados pois se passar muito tempo no forno ficarão duros também! Só mexa neles depois de totalmente frio para não desmanchar.

as my resident brazilian mutual i must ask about 'sequilhos' because i have acquired some from a local supermarket out of intrigue, which, the fact i have been able to buy them suggests to me they must be 'a thing' in brazil. so... are they? what do you make of them? i'm sat here munching on them and they're going down well with a cuppa haha

(silly me forgot to check the date on them so now i've got a couple bags to get through and 3 days to do it in 🤭)

Ohhh sequilhos are very much a thing!! They're really really good, a bag usually doesn't last long with me. They're so good to dip into coffee!!

They're made of maize starch and you can find them in different flavors, like coconut, condensed milk etc etc

My favorite one is this one:

We call it casadinho and it's two sequilho biscuits with a layer of goiabada between them and powdered in sugar, it's just, so good.

very quiet, kinda nonchalant and standoffish but never in a cool guy type way, more like aloof, i guess? his brain is full of elevator music

has emotions, and he can detect he has them but not really what they are or mean

like i put in the ref sheet, i imagined he'd like making music with music pads or midi fighters, but of course only when he has time

ok, so i might have gone a little crazy with this one but HEAR ME OUT

i imagined that if he were to be a part of the story, that in some alternate universe L1X would realize that all the wormhole buisness happens because of Engineer. and as his job is literally to ensure the safety of the colonists, he decides to jump into the wormhole looking for Engie. this chase would get more and more frustrating tho, as L1X can find many Marks but not Engineer, and stresses as the more time he takes to find Engie, the more that the colonists will be hurt/traumatized. not to mention the betrayal, i mean, L1X would probably think that Engie meant what he was doing. In the end tho, i imagine that he wouldnt have a big part in the ending (i like that the captain and Engie have their moment), but that after all of it got resolved that he'd still remember everything that happened, so i guess more trauma for the poor android :(

and poor L1X is completely in love with this cat. if it sits on his lap he feels so much emotion towards it he cant bring himself to move it. he has a back pocket on his pants specifically designed for the cat to sit in while he works. you cant get it away from him.

someone who worked on him once tried to take the cat away from him and he lost all will to live. Engie and Gunther had to go get the cat back so that L1X could actually work again.

idk why i designed him to look kinda like a porcelain doll, but it looks pretty cool! tho obvs he's made of some stronger material XD also, he's made to look kinda weirdly human, so his "blush" is painted on.

the light blue lights are illuminated parts that show the inside of the wiring. whether the color can be changed to others like those rgb lights remains to be seen.

and finally, his weapon of choice is usually his two laser guns, though he knows how to fight with any weapon B)

aaa these three were so fun to do, im so happy with how they came out! although i have to admit there was a fourth idea that never really went anywhere. cause if we got lix in all areas of the ship, an alien!lix isnt that farfetched. it wasnt a bad idea at all, i just didnt have a good idea for it, but it could totally be made XD! maybe someday ill make it...

hii!! i'm here again. this time to ask for some dead poets favorite cookies hc

i firmly believe that pitts' favourites are chocolate chip cookies- IT JUST MAJES SM SENSE

you got it completely right with pitts. his favourite cookie is chocolate chip cookies and they are like one of his ultimate comfort foods.

his mom makes really good ones, they're like perfect and golden on the outside and soft and gooey on the inside. he can make them too but he's still perfecting the chocolate inside.

also really likes sequilhos bc his dad and grandma on that side makes really good ones.

meeks is 100% a biscotti boy. he loves those cookies and once again, was taught how to makr them by his mom and he has managed to replicate her recipe perfectly.

neil is a gingerbread kind of guy. he loves that shit fr but he likes making them at christmas even more, like he loves designing them and making competitions with his friends about them.

he also likes chocolate chip cookies alot. it's actually tied for his favourite and he doesn't get to eat them as much as he wants. this is later changed when him and todd move in together and bake cookies or other treats every sunday

todd has two types of favourite cookies aswell. from when he was a kid, he's always loved kiss cookies, and has rlly fond memories of him and jeff sneaking cookies in the kitchen as children.

but his more recent and commonly eaten favourite is white chocolate macadamia cookies. he loves them and they fit his pretty extreme sweet tooth.

cameron is literally the god of baking out of the poets and he's able to make any type of cookies. his secret is that his grandmother taught him but he refuses to share any recipes.

his favs are choclate cookies, not choclate chip but choclate cookies, and his are to die for. he manages the perfect soft and gooey consistency but also a nice texture.

charlie likes all cookies. he'll eat anything but he likes monster cookies and cameron's recipe for choclate cookies the most. will never admit it though and he always pisses off cam by stealing them while he's making them

knox is a peanut butter cookie guy, could eat a million in a sitting he loves them sm. but also loves his mom's torticas de morón.

no idea why that recipe for sequilhos had me make them like a normal cookie size. they should definitely be bite size bc they are: cornstarch. I was like oh they're very much still cornstarch eh? I do love them though but also WHILE I was making them I was like "I think maybe it's irresponsible for me of deep inflammation to consume this much cornstarch ever again" I feel like this is a carb bomb. Did make me more curious about a shortbread that incorporates a little cornstarch

also my dulce is so frickin pale, next time I try it I have to start it like the second I wake up bc i let it heat for like 10 hours! but my crockpot is very gentle I guess

all that said, three baking experiments down👍
