Happy Eclipse Day everyone! In honor of the event, I felt it was only fitting to give the Dead Moon Circus some attention.

I used the live rip audio since the CD version doesn't include the long "circus act" breaks. I had to edit a bit to make sure the singing parts synced up (also the video was like 30 seconds longer than the audio for…some reason? Not sure why).

Yes, it seems that NogiMyu 2024 is doing teams again and it seems to be using the same names as the 2018 production. I've seen mixed reactions around, and I can see why people feel either way on this. I'm just happy Myu's coming back. That's really there is to it. I look forward to seeing what the new cast brings to the table! <3

Hello everyone!

Small update/check in. I'm so very sorry it's been forever since I've updated our Tumblr. I'm also sincerely sorry for having missed any asks or questions sent our way. Apparently I haven't been getting the email notifications like I used to, but I think I've figured that issue out and should be able to get those from now on.

As far as future projects and updates go, the site is essentially on an indefinite hiatus in terms of future projects or translations. If we have time and are able to do new things, we certainly will! However currently with mine and Akiko's personal lives and other commitments we have, we do not have the time to dedicate to translations and site updates like we used to.

That said, SeaofSerenity.net isn't going anywhere! I planned for the site to eventually be a static site that will be around as long as I'm around (and I hope to have a successor plan down the road but that's a long time from now to think about) for those to have access to our fan translations.

Okay from the recent musicals, Amour Eternal was my least fav, because it pondered too much to the 90s thumpers it lost its individuality, that being said there is that one number with Mamoru and Helios that it is both phenomenally performed, and so unbelievably gorgeous

the LOVE, the ACTUAL LOVE Mamoru has for Helios it can be interpreted in many different ways, familial, friendly, homoerotic.

as we know in the dream arc mamoru is sick he’s slowly rotting from the inside, yet in THAT state of unhealth he still wants to save Helios who has been corrupted.

Helios during all these he refuses to release the nightmare into Mamoru, in fear it will kill him, Mamo insists, he even goes all future king on him and tells him it’s an order.

in the end Helios does and 

and Mamo dies in his arms, temporarily as the golden crystal appears there.

but the whole number is just pure love from start to finish it’s amazing

at this point mamo has 7 boyfriend (the 4 generals, fiore, asanuma, and helios)

ps: last night I was watching parts of this musical with a friend

and before this scene when the guardians encounter corrupted helios for the first time Haruka is all on attack mode, and Chibiusa tells her wait it’s helios and Haruka being Haruka was “what that monster???” and I pause the scene and yell

“stfu Haruka, stop being a karen” AHAHHA

and then

“I can’t believe I just called my fav chara a karen” ahhahah
