made a ninjago oc but all it wants to do is party
its name is WULFTRAX (all caps) and it’s playing this with zane extra info belooowww
pronouns: IT'S PRONOUNCED WOLF TRACKS LITTLE MAN (it/he/they) species: WULFTRAX. digital? like, it HAS skin, and a skeleton, presumably, just… not a human head. likes: game, rave dislikes: no rave wants: to party character motivation: biggest loudest party backstory: we think it came from prime empire, but that’s all we got. maybe an unused rhythm game dj…? strengths: WULFTRAX does everything at 100%, and it doesn’t tend to stick around after a fight. it isn't fighting to win, it's fighting to go hogwild. on its back are one to six doc ock-like arms made of wire and interwoven with the stuff in season 9 that triggered everyone’s elemental powers. weaknesses: can only attack on the beat, will only fight if there’s music. it’s actually not that strong, its robot arms and machinery do all the fighting. it prefers to fight/party using someone else — elementals party pretty hard, all their colors and glowing and exploding is its favorite. alignment: very chaotic neutral. it does things on impulse and regardless of morals. he doesn’t seem to want to hurt anyone, just wants to party, and if hurting someone is how you gotta party, shrug! you can sway him pretty easily with the promise of a better rave. it’s not that clever, there is no scheming with this thing, but it does somehow get a lot of machinery and builds massive batteries and speakers and light shows
speech conventions: IT TALKS LIKE A FRAT BOY MET A CHRONICALLY ONLINE GAMER. NOT THE MOST COMPLICATED SENTENCES LMAO.
it also yells like everything it says due to the speakers in its mouth. its favorite people to mess with are kai, jay and lloyd. they have the shiniest explodiest powers, and are more split-second competitive.
#WULFTRAX#my art#‘I have made an oc to help/be friends with the ninja’ I have made an oc to fight them. I have made an oc to pummel them#people have done this before HAHDIDBDHDH except WULFTRAX is 1) a horrible fighter and 2) stupid#ninjago#ninjago oc#honestly it’s definitely someone you could/should use as a henchman. He won’t even realize. He will also destroy your lair#and then go OH MY BAD DUDE and that’s the end of that topic. Now it’s in your fridge#the second two images — it wanted to play DDR with jay and then went BRO YOU WANNA HELP WITH THIS SET so now Zane tricked it into -#bargaining to let jay out of the battery and it immediately agreed and then said WE’RE PLAYING OSU and didn’t leave room for argument so#now zane is playing a rhythm game he’s never played to let jay AND KAI out of the batteries and stop the rest of them from dying in#human osu! which was going to be its dance floor (it forgot people die when they’re hit by lightning)#And ALSO now they should probably stop it from holding the most dangerous rave#if the stuff they have is enough to send an elemental into superpowered overdrive it’s probably not healthy for a regular dude#as a meta note.#it’s obsessed w thrillseeking and adrenaline because he’s been alone for so so long that any new sensations are obsession-worthy#obsessed with feeling things and being real. doesn’t know how to regulate its obsession with something bc it has no sense of moderation#its primary purpose is to make big noise big party like programmed into it is its DJ sets. So now it makes the biggest loudest brightest#sets not understanding that this much noise/power can hurt someone or itself bc hurt is in fact an interesting sensation to it#it doesn’t KNOW this or underSTAND it. And it wouldn’t listen if told. BUT! that’s its pathology#IT HAS NO CONCEPT OF DEATH THERE IS NO THIS IS TOO DANGEROUS. THERE IS ONLY DA PORTY#it and porty mk would be besties#rule of cool with this thing. its cars are big its sets are big its music is loud and it’s got a giant flamethrower and a piano to drop#It broke from its programming but that doesn’t mean it broke from its programming yfeel#hrmmm.... yes........ self indulgent shiny loud digital dogmanthing#ill tag three of em theyre getting situations#kai smith#zane julien#jay walker

7 19 23 35 40 52 69 for The Jester and The Crimegirl
thank you so much bee omg i loved the questions u made sm!!! time for Them. this is super super long im sorry njdkkfkrenkjr
7. which party member do they understand the least?
for pen it is probably alba if he had to pick anyone? just because he can do Crazy Shit Sometimes. but pen still feels like he understands him v well!!
for agni its probably elvira! she is from a place she knows next to nothing about besides what elvira’s explained or what she’s learned from school, she is 100+ years old, yeah! while agni doesnt like fully Understand her she still thinks she’s really cool!! it was rlly nice of her to try and comfort her when she initially found out abt Rei Time. and also knitted her a pretty holster that was so nice of her!!
19. what haunts them? what doesn’t?
pen’s is home. so mf much he genuinely loves his party a lot and has gotten really attached but also like he misses home so bad it hurts. he felt like he was an intrinsic part of something that he fit perfectly and was never gonna have to give up, and he got to be w everyone he cared about all day. he’s haunted by mikolai’s wedding lol. he’s also haunted by The Shit That Went Down Pertaining To His Exile, His Subsequent Exile, Making the Pact,  Dying, Making The Pact Pt 2, The Thing He Had To Do After He Made The Pact, And Then Also Dying Again. he’s haunted by holding ori dead in his arms and bringing her back using power he now understands was from a Not That Great Place. he barely knew her then but he still thought about it all the time, and now he thinks abt it even more lol! he just is not used to life being. Like This. at all. he was a vvvvvv spoiled kid. (some nobility complex part of him is haunted by lydia! stupid jester!)
he’s not haunted by everyone he’s been a bitch to lol, unless he vocally apologized for it later nfjnf. he’s not haunted by vargas. uh
agni is not haunted by most things and That’s On her super healthy coping mechanism! she tries to not think about her personal life with that much weight, she tries to keep it abstract in her head? but also there are some things she can’t help but get Unnamed Bad Feeling from instinctively. rei. w how last session fucking turned out lol, watching seras collapse in the doorway Will Def Become One. Moms Time, both for individual reasons. sometimes, not being accomplished, but that also filters into Moms Time. everything else tho she kind of just vibes through.
23. how do they feel about nicknames, titles, or labels that have been given to them? how do they feel about their name?
pens Official Title is penance the jester, court jester of tarbyen (and he makes sure no one forgets it lol.) everyone he grew up around had official titles so it made him feel realllyyy good abt himself that he had one too! (he likes that the party’s nicknamed him pen tho, he thinks its sweet >:) ) his Name name is camil, but only his mom n mikolai called him that, so he thinks its very like..... informal, and he likes being a Formal Title Boy, but also it makes him go all soft bc the two ppl he loved most called him that!! conflicting feelings.
agni’s had her nickname since she was really young i think, one of those like, you’re in fantasy kindergarten and learning how to spell and your first name is rlly long, so u employ a nickname very early Kind Of Moments. her full name is agnodice and she likes it well enough! it feels very kind of like. stiff and formal to her tho. she thinks agni suits her better!
35. which party member do they worry for?
pen worries for All Of Them. he tries to follow juni when he’s having one of his (as pen puts it) “freak out moments” bc he’s scared someday it’s going to be something that really hurts him, and he wants to be there to help if it does. pen has fully accidentally triggered ori before, and he feels really bad about it, especially since her triggers literally Set Her On Fire. so you know. he tries to be really careful with his words around her, especially since the incident a couple sessions ago. also, he is Very Concerned abt all of her past stuff with the mahne that he’s recently learned abt, especially putting together all the past knowledge she’s given him abt the river and what to do in a pact and Where Exactly She Got That Info From. he’s grateful she’s not in any of that anymore, though, whatever the mahne is exactly. alba’s impulsivity worries pen n he wants to make sure alba doesnt accidentally Put Himself In A Situation accidentally w that someday.
agni worries for theodosia, just because she seems to know a lot about the fucked up illness time thats going on and it seems to rlly effect her and she knows it cld be coming from prior past experience? she also worries for cyrus because of the whole you know. his family’s shop and home being burned to the ground Situation, even though theyve since recovered it couldnt have been good for him. worries for kai, also, because he is Small Baby Boy. but worries as in like. does so in her agni way and it may not come across as such?
40. do they enjoy poetry?
pen loves poetry he heard a lot of epics at home!! the stories were Less fun when it was about like, war and bloodshed and stuff, but he loved them when they were all pretty n flowery or like romantic 🥺
agni likes hearing poetry recited, especially when it has a specific repetitive syllable pattern she can get lost in!
52. from whom do they seek validation?
pen simply be like [wants validation from nobility noises]. its his Complexes. thats why being @ ravenloft rn is so... bad for him lol bc hes getting like all the positive attention from important people hes wanted for his entire life, oops. hes literally living out a dream being asked to dance with someone so important!! he also seeks validation a lot from like powerpful women bc of growing up with his mom and how much he looked up to her and cared about her, which manifests itself a lot w wanting attention from ori and jenny (and previously w lady wachter lol) and also the lady of delights.
growing up agni sought validation from her mothers n instructors, now (while she still wants momsvalidation) she looks for validation mostly from herself, which is kind of bad bc she never feels fully satiated w her work n accomplishments!
69. how would they describe their party members?
for pen: ori feels like an older sister to him, hes too scared to express as much, but yeah! she is warm (he means figuratively but also lol) and Kind and Competent and Smart and above all, Safe. he defintely feels like, the safest with her than anyone else he’s encountered in his life, both i mean in the physical protection sense but moreso the emotional sense! yeah. juni is.,, complicated. at first pen was uhhh scared of him bc of the whole Sorcerer Thing, but after all of them talked abt it at jenny’s, that feeling passed and he was more just concerned for him than anything. he is Powerful and Pretty and even though he’s been thru a lot of things pen himself cant even comprehend juni’s still Soft and Understanding and pen really admires that about him! alba is Also Complicated, for different reasons. pen thinks he is Reckless and Impulsive but also Smart in his own little scheme way, and pen really appreciates him as like a constant in his life? like yeah, he is scary and concerning sometimes but he’s always Predictably as such and while pen doesn’t see alba as all that loyal in general pen is kind of blind to that stuff when it comes to ppl in relation to him, so he’s just glad he’s met someone that wants to stick with him.
for agni: cyrus is so nice to her!! he feels like a capital f Friend in her head and so far like. she’s only had one of those before so thats really cool!! he helps her out a lot and she tries to do what she can to be there for him too! it was nice of him to teach her abt Beach Swimming. theo is really cool and agni loves seeing her in her element doing Medicine Stuff she thinks she is really smart w that kind of thing and rlly respects her practice, agni’s also very interested in her magic!! she thinks dendy is small little lizard guy who sings silly songs. greatly appreciates him. she wld follow kai blindly into terrible plans because she wants to make sure this cool teen is alright , is thankful to know he can turn into a bear at will and she didnt do that on accident that one time! amadeus is confusing and hard to keep track of in her head, but at the end of the day she thinks he’s very caring and just looking out for people. adaeze is really fun to hang out with and she is both concerned and greatly impressed w her just straight up downing one of fer’s Fucked Up And Evil Potions no questions asked, bc thats something even Agni’s too scared to do. thinks her sword is very interesting in terms of the arcane, wants to see what happens w all that! elvira is super different from anyone agni’s been around but she thinks she’s an amazing artist and would love to see her home bc she talks about it so vividly!!

If you have the time, could you do a quick overview for Xiumin (exo) for his ideal type/romance or just his chart in general? No rush of course. Thanks in advance, you're crazy talented at this. ❤❤❤
Hey there!! 💞💞💞 I can do his overview no probs!! 💞💞 This probably won’t be talking about his ideal type/romance but I hope you like it! 💞

[EXO Xiumin/Kim Minseok Overview]
🚫long post 🚫
I wrote SO MUCH for this but then I lost it all because my computer decides to shut off so im sorry if this is :((( shorter than expected.
Aries Sun | Pisces Moon | Aries Mercury | Aquarius Venus and Mars
God ok so I hope I make it in time for his birthday still and I’ll give a quick… overview of the main points I’ve talked about before it shuts off
The first thing to talk about are those Aquarius Venus/Mars he has because damn that’s an incredible thing to have?? I’m going to talk about the placement first before we dive into the aspects
A lot of incredible dancers in the idol industry tends to have aspects to Aquarius– particularly Aquarius Mars/Sun (Chungha, Hoseok, Seulgi oh and Jongin also has?? Aquarius stuff as well??)
With Minseok, this Aquarius is probably an understated but really really powerful side to him thats– amazing to see honestly!!
Part of why Aquarius placements are incredible is because they have a lot of persevering power. Not just as a fixed/air sign, but also because of his Aries (Sun/Mars sextile) and how it’s working together in his manifestation
Bodily, physically. There’s a lot of tangibility (physicality) to Aquarius even if most interpretation talks about the mind/energy that they embody. It’s the translation of those energy (external/stimuli/noises/source) into something that’s grounded (fixed) onto the physical body– movement, dancing, interpretation of immaterial things into the physicality of the situation/reality is something that Aquarians have an incredible ability to do intuitively as well.
See the thing about Aquarius is that they embody both the ‘learning/conditioning’ aspect of a craft (certain aspects of the topic, like say ‘teaching’ themselves to do something, incredible perseverance/discipline in this regards) as well as the intuitive/analysis quality of it that comes from the ‘self/self-expression’
It’s a combination of Saturnian energy and Uranian energy. That Uranian energy in particular– taking something that’s been learnt and progressing/leading into something that’s ‘moving forward’ with (’yes we know that but then what now/what next’). Having the space/freedom in order to do so.
These people embody a lot of discipline/control that comes from their own mindset/values (not what socially regarded) and without the ‘title/responsibility’ set on them ‘officially’ by other people (authority giving them titles of ‘leaders’ in something) – they can excel in so many different areas they set their mind to. And that has to do with the ‘freedom’ they are given and their ability to work well on their own terms/set themselves up for it.
You can see your local Aquarius excelling well at something that doesn’t burden them with titles– often times, Aquarius are said to be rebellious and free-spirited but it has more to do with the mind-set or restrictions (lack thereof) that is set upon them by others/themselves.
Aquarius ARE discipline, but more like SELF-discipline in what THEY want to do. Aquarius works so well when they have a purpose, a space, an area where they can just push their energy into and do their work/show their skill-sets and adjust others as they see needed.
The dominance/control over their own skills and being respected/admired on the subject helps the Aquarius placements a lot– there’s no pressure of anything ‘official’ but the work speaks for itself, and the respect/admiration/people coming to them for advice truly helps them take on the lead/flourish in what they do.
There’s integrity here, in the way that they demonstrate rather than speak. They are people who really do ‘fix’ alot of their energy into driving power/force of what their skills are/what they do. Aquarius energy (Saturn/Uranus) often let people notice a couple of things about them:
1) They are naturally disciplined, capable achievers and leaders, able to work on their own and with a team. They can handle shit and often times, their Saturnian energy really do enhance their critical eye and they are able to give constructive/creative advice without offending too many people (maybe not in regards to emotions/others insecurities) because it comes from a place of understanding/truly wanting to see manifestation in something and not undermining anyone’s ability as they do ‘the best that they can’
2)  They don’t notice that they stand out, even when they’re doing nothing. Its the way they carry themselves, with grace and capabilities. True power of these Aquarians comes from within and their ability to detect and ‘filter’ the bad/good intentions from people.
Aquarius Venus in particular, can be good at helping others problems out more so than themselves sometimes. In a way, they ARE invested in helping out others but most might not notice this/take offense to it because they can be focused on analyzing/thinking about the problems (and can come off as quite blunt) instead of highlighting/knowing how to word things right (cushion it) to show how understanding/compassionate they truly are (misunderstanding).
At the same time there’s a strong driving force in focusing on themselves. No messy, no non-sense. Often times they’re fun-loving people but within the square they’ve drawn up for themselves. Discipline remember? If they deem something as ‘tasteless’ then that’s that on that.
Aquarius ‘fixed/air’ nature is more about the driving force– the movement of getting yourself into this motion/gear of constant movement (air) and the repeated pattern of it. Most Aquarius placements may have to find a way to ‘break’ out of the mold they made for themselves– they are quite self-aware as well so I’m sure most would always notice when they ‘lack’ something and tries to work on it consciously by themselves (through social interaction– often times when people complain that they ‘lack’ compassion or ‘hurt’ others intentionally)
Most people who give constructive criticism to Aquarius would often mention begrudgingly that they ARE honest/truthful but at the same time, they may often disregard certain emotionality level to it (and thats the main problem for them).
The Aquarius driving motion– is thinking over the latter part and finding ‘steps’ to overcome it, once they have step one in mind they start implementing it. They work on a trial and error, most of the time as they go (in order to remedy the problem/deal with things as they come).
Aquarius Venus often has people thinking they’re: ‘freedom loving!!!’ and ‘friendly’ even when it’s?? the ‘result’ of what they’re prompted to do (reaction) not the ‘reasoning’ (like say there’s more to it beneath the layer than that and you can’t take things on a surface level if you want to understand them/have to actually ask/get to know them to not cause misunderstanding)
What you see isn’t exactly how it is. They’re friendly because they believe in universality, it’s politeness in a way– decency and respect for others/that should be given back to them. If you cross that line, they have no obligation to be ‘friendly’ towards you – they’re not gonna lie there and take it. You have to learn how to understand how they work as well.
‘Freedom loving’ in another way is a case of privacy/personal space, it’s being grounded in oneself (like an earth sign) and a self-expression. It’s for them, not for you. Don’t get it twisted thinking you can’t ground them, ‘freedom-loving’ is a way they ground themselves. This isn’t your call to make, it’s theirs. So respect that too!
Most people don’t think they’re polite because they’re blunt– but they are polite. They’re thoughtful, just need to develop consideration more sometimes.
There’s a lot of dichotomy/things we can go through with them because y know– they symbolize two things. The water carrier/vase thing and the the water flowing out. Much like how the other air signs have duality in them, Aquarius has this too but may be more concerned/stressed about how other people ‘dont fully understand them’ but yeah. We’ll get to that soon (in other posts maybe)
Tumblr media
So that’s part of how he comes across to others, probably at the beginning. There’s a respectful distance with strangers/new people sometimes– observing, can sometimes be a little distance/detached but he has enough nervous energy and friendliness (personability) to not like– come across as someone who’s unreasonable/you can’t get along with sometimes
(If you’re not much of an overly teasing/dramatic person because that can throw them off a bit bc ‘tf bitch?? we’re not that close yet you can’t do that’ – Saturnian Aquarius respectable energy)
His true core however– Sun/Moon (and Mercury) combination IS someone who’s quite playful. Often quirky, has a sense of humour that’s quite quirky even if he doesn’t SAY say things but rather SHOW it instead (emotionality and compassion flows out more than is said/translated through communication sometimes)
The main beef here is with that Pisces Moon which really really shines a lot. Minseok essentially — is such a compassionate, sensitive, sentimental (sensual) person at his core. In terms of subconscious, the internal and his emotions, it translates to how he cares about others, his dream/goals and how he expresses himself so much.
This is the driving force– the Aries acts as the outlets and the way he goes about getting things/doing things. Pisces is the prompter. It’s the part of him that feels, fears, deals and settles things internally. It’s the part of him that creates dimensionality and layers sometimes. Strong need for self-expression and connectivity with others.
Those with Pisces Moon often tends to be someone who finds themselves using creative media/outlets in order to manifest themselves, because it’s a way they can push all that scattered nervous/anxious/worrier energy out into something that they enjoy and can connect to others as well. They may ‘depend’ on something (music, writing, art, creating something) and often when they’re alone– they may tend to day-dream or let their mind get some ‘rest’ and can come off as someone who has a lot of internal energy they can utilize into the external (if you’re friends with them)
Amazingly receptive to other people’s emotionality as well, they’re one the fastest people to be fond of others and may often let others cling/hold on/take care of them (or be taken care of but that may happen less often) – most pisces moon people are incredible actors, because they are able to put themselves in other people’s shoes and can ‘feel’ emotions as if they’re going through the same thing (highly imaginative)
The more they suffer/think of scenarios that makes them suffer the more they get emotional, there’s an element to them that’s self-suffering sometimes (not always)– as in, they may somethings be the kind of worrier that over-stress something/has a habit of doing that (over-think/analyze something) that they may self-doubt or push themselves into the ground (hesitance)
Because they’re rather fearful of being ‘overly optimistic/hopeful’ and not have that handed to them in a plate (which is why achievements are kinda met with a confused, happy, scared kinda approach sometimes) – they’d rather think ‘realistically’ and self-sabotage themselves from their ‘dream/first choice’ if they let this element of worrying overwhelm them.
On the other hand, he does have a lot of Aries placements that may be the ‘dependency’ crutch. As in, if his Pisces dreams gets too overwhelming/scary because it’s so hopeful– the Aries is bumped up to help provide support.
Anything he doesn’t earn with his own two hands (bare hands) and hasn’t climbed/rightfully felt he achieved he doesn’t take. It has to feel like he ‘earned’ it somehow — a sense of principality, if he’s put in effort/worked hard for it then it comes with a price that’s he’s paid. The Aries aims for a perfectionist state (much like it’s sister Libra) but the process is more through proving themselves, rather than tactic/prepped-work/strategy sometimes.
Pisces can also be— scared of criticism, or worry a lot about perspectives. Other people’s perspective, consideration for things. The overall sensitivity and sentimentality to certain things can often make them pace back and forth by themselves figuring out what to do and how to do things without acting much on it.
Whilst Aries (polarizing force) can be the absence of that – going back to the basics (full circle) instinct, what they want, the main ‘core’ of the thing tightly wrapped and concentrated/focused on. The sheer belief in something that pushes native through the achieving their goals/dreams without ‘thinking too much’ about things uselessly (efficiency)
The thing about this is, you have one side of him that does think things through. Is sensitive, considerate. Vulnerable and learn a lot from others (want to share it with others) – but he doesn’t speak/say. He doesn’t pull attention to it because maybe who knows who’s going to judge him (criticism) and Aries is against vulnerabilities/exposure of that or rather– talking about it in a way that leaves them defenseless and cuts down on their credibility (it’s like opening the self up bare and the other person looking down on them/stomping on/not understanding them)
Aries/Pisces combination is more SHOWING through his self-expression, how it’s received. Learning it’s OKAY to be vulnerable in a way– because he has plenty of strengths (Aries/Aquarius) that carrying personal things by himself can become burdensome on his psyche if he doesn’t ‘share’ it with others sometimes as well (Jupiterian influence)
This Pisces Moon gets stronger, more developed as it expresses itself. There’s moments where he’s intuitive, soft and sensitive and can’t hold back his tears/compassion for others. And there’s time where he’d rather support, encourage, motivate or direct/guide others instead.
There’s a duality to this nature here. Where on one hand— you get Aries who’s confident, self-assured, may be blunt/crass and decisive. And then there’s Pisces who’s hesitant, sensitive, compassionate/willing to listen but also needs time to itself as well (both do, Aries in order to manifest/do things for the ‘self’ and Pisces to cover emotionally from taking in so many stimuli from the environment)
If you don’t know him that well— there are moments where his Aries may discredit his Pisces side. Sometimes he’s someone who is blunt, straight-forward. Someone who is decisive, based on fair play and honesty– focused on principality. If you want something this is something that is earned/worked for it. Can be quite stubborn, may limit his vision because he can see things from his experience. And sometimes his Pisces takes over, someone who worries, over-stress, hesitant and indecisive.
You have a duality here of someone who can be pretty vulnerable (or weak-minded) and someone who is also strong, resilience and sure of themselves (confident, strong-minded) you get a mixture of a person who have to balance the two together— because they make full circle right?
How to not get stuck in either Aries or Pisces but rather balance them both – develop both essentially.
It’s like on certain topics his Aries takes control– this is how it is, that’s how to get there. This is a sure-fire decision. Talking more about the things they need to tick off. And then on certain topics, there’s a deliberate consideration of emotionality on topics. The goal for Aries/Pisces ultimately is to work from one energy to the other – if you’re a Pisces thinking phrase right now, instead of discrediting your work it’s using that Aries energy to not suppress it (but encourage it/speed it up) it order for it to reach something the Aries can take the banton from and run with (manifest)
If you’re an Aries thinking phase, it’s adding that heavier element (expansive/wider) of Pisces to your thinking and not dismissing it. It’s working with what you have, because essentially – you don’t want to suppress/cut one side off but see it work/develop nicely to do a relay run with both doing it’s equal parts.
Pisces Moon can also make for someone who needs time to retreat back into themselves– for their emotional state, like being at home/sleeping in order to ground themselves/recharge from their environment. Because they can expend so much of their energy on mundane/external task, being at home and being able to enjoy the simplicity/joys of life really brings them a lot of joy.
Another thing to touch on is that Aries Sun/Mercury – combine with Aquarius in his placements, he can be someone who is essentially very strong. The trouble with the overly worrying Pisces is one of the main vulnerabilities that should be addressed, because it ultimately balances this ‘strength’ with sensitivity and emotional receptivity but also enhances a fear (Pisces) of being misunderstood (Aries/Aquarius) as well.
Anyways… Aries Sun/Mercury and it’s strength. A lot of people think ‘oh Aries they HAVE to be loud and crass’ – that’s not necessarily true. Most prominent is their laid-back nature, they’re concentrated on themselves and their experience. An Aries is less judge-y on you than earth signs sometimes, because they don’t ‘measure’ things like others tend to do.
An Aries respect their personal individuality/freedom, celebrates their own strength/individuality (when it’s healthy) and thus– they celebrate yours/give you the space to do that for yourself. You rarely meet an Aries who doesn’t take personal offense to someone calling them ‘dishonest’ because it’s an attack on their personal integrity (prompt -> reactor)
None of the messy shit, Aries is more of a defensive sign than an offensive one (compared to Scorpio it’s counterpart)
‘A baby doesn’t cry out of nowhere, it’s prompted by something and that crying (complaining) is a reaction to it’ – Aries level of expression is more concentrated about reacting to the stimuli, rather than explaining the stimuli/reasoning behind it’s stressors.
It’s more of an action-y type because it shows through demonstration, and in a way a stability in themselves that they are principled and trustworthy. They don’t take kindly to others who don’t have this sense of fair-play or don’t ‘walk the way they talk the talk’ for. Bluffers in particular, has to bring their A-game in (no non-sense in a way even though they ARE silly and playful people themselves)
In a way it’s also self-discipline. In a way they trust/believe in certain things and ‘do’ something about it. Aries ARE persevering, this comes from Aries before it moves onto Taurus.
An Aries may not be patient but they are persevering, the kind where they butt their heads against the wall and if it doesn’t budge– ‘think smarter not harder’ and try something else (that motion of charging/working/finding something that ‘fits the lock’ and is ‘right’ – cardinal/fire – instinctual/decisive) before a taurus (post Aries who found the ‘right lock’ – continues to butt its head there until it gives – fixed/earth)
Aries can be great at team-work because they DO care about others, they DO show compassion and are kind to others. Most people for some reason disregard this because they don’t understand/appreciate how the Aries work (compared to Libra/Venusian signs). But it’s in the way they observe from a distance– knows when you’re down/struggling and gives you the time/space to work shit out on your own by blocking challenges/possible threats that will hinder you even more by putting themselves in the way of it for you.
They pull attention AWAY from you when you need the space/time to work through your shit, yes you can struggle but they need you to meet them halfway because they can’t solve your personal problem for you. YOU need to do it, but an Aries is there to protect, guard, shield and encourage/motivate/cheer you up if you need them by your side.
An Aries cares in the way they initiate things for you, if you’re a rather shy person they start the interaction. If you don’t want attention they pull it away from you. They care when they sit down with you to check in, giving you their concentration/attention and honesty.
An Aries cares– sometimes, in the way they physically put themselves in front of you if you don’t want to be seen (or doing things/urging you to do things that are good for you) the way they face things heads on for you and handle challenges in order for you to have more time figuring your shit out.
They care in the way they physically reassure you– a hand around your shoulder, validation, a nod, whatever you need if they can give. They won’t over-do it but they will care and accept you if you give them a chance to do so.
They’re close-minded when it comes to themselves, more ‘free-minded/open-minded’ when it comes to others. Trust in an Aries, if you need direction or some stability – they’re great people to be around because they exert more of themselves to make up for the lack of yours.
These sister signs (Libra/Aries) is about balance– an Aries will know when you’re not exerting yourself/need them to do something in order to equalize the interaction and they will do it. They’re great supporters in the team, as well as leaders if you need them to be.
But more so than that, they just want freedom to be themselves. You can’t place responsibilities on someone but give them restrictions that makes no sense (linearly) established structure or enough room to ‘bounce off the wall/make their own path’ helps a lot too.
Non-messy, simplistic. In a way that if something works in the way it’s supposed to then it will. Back to the basics, the clear simple solutions is appreciated (no nonsense) don’t play mind games unless both sides are consented/knows the rules and agreed to play.
They may enjoy stimuli and equal game-play than they realize– essentially what an Aries want is banter in a way that’s naturalized/organic and plays to the advantage of BOTH individual involved (or more if there’s more participants) – similarities to Libra but in a way that’s more observable/manifestive (fair play, fair minded, balanced in an intuitive way but you gotta bring your game/meet them half way because they can’t solve/bend themselves back for you bc thats not?? fair or healthy.)
Libra/Aries perfectionist streak when it comes to Aries is more about that perseverance strength– tenacity. Aries sets its eyes on something and then manifestation is something they do. Sometimes they can be obstinate, doesn’t listen to others because if they want it they will do it (and occasionally out of spite as well)
Personal freedom comes with a balance of privacy/private space– and this is something that is amplified by Pisces Moon as well (need to ground) – for an Aries, grounding is being active/feeling productive in what they do. It’s stimulation (fire) that feels like it’s going somewhere– moving flame, and some of the fear/frustration comes with fearing the fire will burn out if it doesn’t get enough wind/action going on. Passion is represented in the flames.
Aries may find themselves frustrated if they don’t feel like they’ve manifested/fulfilled something out– often being hard on themselves for ‘starting and not finishing’ or seeing something fulfilled (stubborn, can sometimes try to remedy/finish a goal by persistently doing it anyways even if they don’t want to anymore because they believe in principle of it instead of reasoning/listening to their own emotionality sometimes)
Besides this– Aries/Aquarius makes for someone who enjoys thrills, often times mental/visual stimulation (VR is more of a Pisces thing but the physicality of movement is Aries/Aquarius too) say someone offers an alternative route— Aries loves innovative ideas and Aquarius likes pulling it apart/the concept of it. If something’s done cleverly, within reason, in order to prove something (improve on something) then they absolutely love it.
Another thing is that they are often people who can motivate others up, a lot of vitality to them especially in terms of encouragement/refreshing energy when they are with those who doesn’t get a lot of it/is depleted.
Yes a part of him will need to be alone/by himself too but socially, he can be a very sensitive and equally reliable/dependable person because of his strength (uniqueness/skill-set – Aquarius/Aries) as well.
Tumblr media
Likes something that’s new, thats innovative. If he feels like someone is going in a direction that’s progressive/good for them then he can be someone who encourages/support them in their path.
I think the whole spiel I did above was to highlight how ‘underdog’ traits can be apparent in Aquarius Venus/Mars placements?? Like no they don’t ask for recognition they show it/prove it, if they know what they’re talking about then they won’t hesitate to validate/prove it even more. Understated, but very efficient/dominance energy.
Also a lot of Aquarius Mars placement have powerful movements, it’s to do with their control and the energy they put into ‘feeling’ and ‘planning’ (not prior but as they go) what the ‘narrative’ is going to be.
Cohesiveness is more of the goal rather than like– a prep-planned/pre-planned idea. They like control, but it’s a control that’s more to do with themselves/what they do with their energy rather than controlling anyone else (unless they ask for advice from them)
Sun/Mercury conjunction and his overall placement does point to a lot of an avid learner personality — learning comes from experience as well as discipline/studies. There can be sense of validation for doing something ‘right’ – for being ‘objectively’ successful in terms of studying or choices because essentially that covers up for Pisces insecurity sometimes.
If you have this placement too – make sure to look that you aren’t seeking validation from others to make up for your confidence in yourself (which can lead to a lot of ‘me’ or attention-needing attitude) Even if you ARE confident in yourself to an extent, an Aries learns best when it’s perfectionist streak is broken and begins to rely more on itself, rather than subconscious dependency on material validation instead (skill-sets, valuability, social popularity, etc.)
Positive aspects from Sun to Mercury, Mars (I didn’t look at the Sun-Moon conjunct because it’s 9′ at 12.00pm) but this is very promising because it can point to a rather optimistic person publicly. Often popular because they seem to have strength, gain strength and encourage others through their sunshine attitude even when others are tired out.
If Sun/Moon conjunct at a tighter degree, it could point to someone who may be quite disciplined. Old soul but also youthful, lively but also easily settled back into a listener’s role. Self-struggle is still a thing, but there’s a more positive motion for it as well.
Sun/Jupiter-Uranus square can point to someone who may often over-expend themselves sometimes. Expansion, exaggeration. All with sincerity but they can sometimes bite off more than they can chew/do for others and thus feels the consequence/frustration with themselves later on sometimes (and don’t know why they feel that way).
Considering how his Jupiter is in Cancer and Uranus is in Capricorn – it’s more about a sense of balance and stability in himself. Sometimes giving too much to others to a point where he comes home feeling unsatisfied or analyze situation at home/his next plan of action but then getting ‘swept off by the flow’ when he goes out again.
Moon/Saturn is quite strong in his chart— pointing to the above point about being quite disciplined. His Saturn is in Capricorn, domiciled whilst his Moon is in Pisces – it can make for someone who’s quite in tune with his emotionality but can sometimes struggle to say it outwards and thus, focus more on long-term manifestation of it over time (building of bond, trust, loyalty and established connection) before he feels comfortable talking about it in the open.
It also points to a strong persevering drive to see his visions (Pisces Moon) through into reality. Sticking with it through thick and thin, his emotionality or rather ‘devotions’ aren’t something to be laughed at all because it ‘sticks’ and thus– impressions stays with him forever.
Mercury/Mars in sextile and Mercury/Uranus-Neptune in square — this points to someone who does genuinely enjoy a good banter. Even more– talking about issues/topics or in a way that makes things accessible for the normal/less elitist people so that it’s approachable.
Aries/Aquarius draws down the energy of something that COULD be complicated but is put in a way that’s understandable for everyone (can be good at explaining too) – at the same time, he may have moments where things just gets out of hand/act passively and then he’s left to deal with the consequences of things not going the way he wants it to happen/opportunities passed (Neptune aspect) which can be frustrating for the Aries to have to face (often maybe an opportunity to make it into a reality – Capricorn Neptune)
Venus and Mars square to Pluto (conjunct to each other) can point to a powerful personality, can sometimes exemplifies his Aquarian nature/trait (especially with the earlier Mercury/Uranus aspect) — again, Saturnian/Uranus nature as well.
Powerful devotion and standing power (disciplined) but at the same time they can be nit-picky, critical, moody/brooding or feels a strong need to get affirmation/confirmation that they are on the same page as the other person. If there’s a lack of movement, they may often feel the effect of this Pluto even strongly– making them doubt, get suspicious or become critical of something/someone or even themselves sometimes.
Powerful with that Venus/Mars conjunction – but at the same time, when it’s aspecting Pluto in Scorpio (domicile) the Aquarius nature may often overthink/obsess over the value/validity of certain things without getting enough reasoning/affirmation to verify/sustain it’s own over-working mind.
Tumblr media
Alrighty I think that’s it, another thing about Aries is that they often have ‘powerful’ image or like– stand out for their eyes/eyebrows whilst Aquarius also makes them semi-aware of how they look/pose or making them look better when it’s in gif/motions than they realize.
Anyways, this is xiumin overview! I hope u enjoy it! I added the aspects as well even though I don’t usually do that for overviews but– yeah I hope you like!

KILL YOUR DARLINGS, pt. 2 (Discarded Fic Edition) (Part 1 here)
(A small snippet written after someone asked the group chat (I think it was Rodella) ‘hey, do you think Uryuu can’t bear to look in mirrors anymore bc he looks so much like his mom and that hurts him?’)
There’s something odd about Ishida-kun’s house, but Orihime doesn’t quite manage to put her finger on it until about the third or fourth visit.
“Sorry, Ishida-kun, could you let me know where the bathroom is…?” she asks, in between a brace of calculus problems; Ishida-kun looks up from his Japanese literature homework, a little startled, and points vaguely down the hallway.
“Oh— oh, right, it’s the first door to the left,” he says, and goes back to his book. Orihime excuses herself with a small smile.
It occurs to her while washing her hands afterwards; the reason why Ishida-kun’s house has always felt a little… off-kilter.
There aren’t any mirrors in his house at all.
(The discarded beginnings of a fic I was writing for deathberryprompts’ weekly prompt, paradise.)
There are birds of paradise sitting by her windowsill, pretty in their wrought-iron cages. A note, written in an elegant hand, is attached to the lock: Congratulations on the union. The birds are a set, a male and female; currently asleep with their brightly coloured heads bent together. Rukia’s hand itches for the key. In the quiet of the morning before everyone wakes, everything still seems a beautiful possibility.
Her trembling fingers sweep over the fabric of her dress, skitter over the handle of her sword; nobody would ever know. One twist of her wrist, a key turning in a lock, and she’d never have to see them in captivity again. A gift, from some far-flung branch of her family. Who would she be offending? Does she rightly care? She does not understand why her marriage should be celebrated by tying creatures of the sky down to a lifetime on the ground. What a terrible thing; to lose your wings. To never even realise what you’ve lost—
The key is such a slender thing to be the only obstacle between them and the endless expanse of the sky. Rukia grips it in her hand, and though she is tiny, the key is tinier still; such an easily lost thing, this tenuous bridge to freedom. It shakes as she moves it towards the lock.
(When we were busy writing irbb, the irbb writer’s chat did a thing where we rewrote a snippet of each other’s fic in our own writing style. The excerpt in italics is a scene from Jess @sequencefairy’s irbb fic, Torque, which you can find here (x). The part following is my take on that scene.)
There are always sirens at night, Tokyo is a big city, and even though Karakura is a relatively quiet part of it, Ichigo can always count on hearing the wail of some siren, somewhere. These are close, and, in his relatively extensive experience, they are police sirens. He gets up, shuffles across his bed and pulls his window open further.
They get closer still, and now Ichigo can make out the whine of an engine being pushed to it’s limit. They must be a number of blocks away still. Ichigo pulls out his phone, keeping half an ear on the noise outside and scrolls through his twitter feed. Sometimes, if he’s lucky, the Tokyo police force traffic detachment will give information about current traffic disruptions. There’s a screech of tires and Ichigo winces. His thumb pauses in its movement on his phone’s screen and everything seems to hush.
The moment hangs. Ichigo forgets to breathe.
The crunch and squeal of metal on metal is unmistakable, even at this distance. He’s already pulling on his sweater by the time the phone in the clinic rings.
________________________________________________________________
The still air of his bedroom is split by the sound of police sirens. This in itself is nothing new; living on the edge of a city as big as Tokyo, the fantasy of an undisturbed night is something he has long since discarded. But these sound closer to him than usual, and Ichigo strains to hear them. It was unusual to have a chase this close to Karakura-cho. He flings his window open and reaches for his phone.
His twitter feed reveals nothing unusual, but Ichigo stays on edge. The sirens get closer at an alarmingly fast rate, and now he can make out the whirring of the engines and the skid of tyres on asphalt that tell him they’re only a few blocks away. His phone is crushed in his palm. Ichigo knows from experience; a chase at this speed ends in only one of two ways. Voluntary surrender, or…
The screech of metal on metal tears through the sky, and Ichigo’s already gone; the phone slips from his sweaty grip to land on his abandoned bed even as the one in the clinic begins its urgent and unmistakeable song.
(The beginnings of a discarded fic I was writing for deathberryprompts’ weekly prompt, lunar.)
There is something about the moon that night. Brighter than the streetlamps that dot the streets below, less harsh than the fluorescents inside the house, she emits a soft, steady light that bleaches the surroundings of colour and makes the edges of objects glow.
(.... this was going to be a fic where it looks like Ichigo is talking to Rukia at first, but as the fic progresses the reader notices things getting weirder and weirder until at the end they realise that a) Ichigo was actually just monologuing to the moon and that b) Rukia’s been dead for ten years. (Un)Fortunately for everyone involved, my muse for this fled, so this is all there is of that.)
(Some Ryuuken/Katagiri + Uryuu introspective thing that I really want to finish, but I can’t remember where I was going with it )
The boy’s in love.
For all that other people called Ryuuken an awful father, he’s always been adept at reading his son’s emotions; Uryuu always been far too much like Kanae for him to not be able to see every flicker of thought across his idiotically expressive face.
(The discarded beginnings of a fic I was writing for deathberryprompts’ weekly prompt, truth-bridge-knife. The ellipses indicate that there was supposed to be more writing in between, but I never quite got around to it.)
Here’s the thing: the truth is, she’s never loved him.
Oh, people supposed. If you had, you certainly wouldn’t have been the first; they never seem to understand, all these outsiders, that she’s never felt more for him than what a mentor would feel for their student, what a comrade would feel for their fellow soldiers-in-arms. The bond forged by blood and war is stronger than any covenant sealed with homework and trips to the arcade; she supposes it’s easy to confuse such a bond with love. But it’s not like he’s ever singled her out for special treatment compared to the rest of his comrades. It’s not like she ever treated him any different to Renji or nii-sama or any of the other men in her life. She loves him, of course; she loves all her friends. But she’s never been in love with him.
Here’s the thing: he’s never been more than a bridge to her; a connection back to the world that she belongs in.
.
.
.
And now, here’s the thing: truth isn’t a bridge. Truth is a knife and you can wield it in the same way, cut, cut, slash. Truth is subjective and truth is not what the Kuchiki Clan keeps and sometimes, the truth isn’t the truth, not at all, but everyone agrees that it should be the truth and they won’t listen to anything else.
.
.
.
So, here’s the thing: the truth is that he’s always never been just a friend. Love and companionship are needless essential emotions and she had both was missing both before he came into her life. It’s not like he changed her world and dried her rain; it’s not like she became his ray of light. The truth is that they’ll always never be ‘just friends’.
But here’s the thing: people don’t care. They’ve never cared and what can such a ragged, patchwork truth do to disguise the festering wound that’s opened up between them, more effective than a child’s the floor is lava game in keeping them apart? Nobody wants to read between the lines anymore and what matters is what the Kuchiki Clan’s records say. Some truths are truer than others and none are as true as the Kuchiki Clan’s truths, and there, written in her own hand, in the truest true-black ink she can find, will be her name; linked to a man she’s never wanted, not like that. And in time, when there is no more Ichigo and Rukia, that will be all that remains; just her name linked to someone else’s in true-black ink, the only truth left out of the myriads of other truths that they keep.
(The discarded beginnings of a fic I was writing for deathberryprompts’ weekly prompt, truth-bridge-knife (can you tell I was very taken by this prompt… also that it was viciously difficult for me :’)). Truth was supposed to be Sode no Shirayuki, Bridge was supposed to be Zabimaru, and Knife was supposed to be Zangetsu.)
(Truth)
The truth is that you’ve never liked the boy. Hair like the blazing sun, and a soul equally as hot; yet what is the sun to the snow but anathema? You waited out your stint in the boy’s soulscape like a curse. In his heart, there is no room to hide, nowhere to escape or take shelter. If it rains, you get soaked; if the sun shines, you burn. You wish the boy would learn some tact; some scrap of control. You lend him your powers because you see no other choice. You never even give him your name. He never thinks to ask.
The truth is you don’t like him. He jumps into things without thinking; deliberation and calculation is second nature to you. You felt abandoned, see; when she relinquished her grip on your heart almost eagerly, handed you over to him like you’re water through her fingers and not solid ice growing through her veins.
.
.
.
(Bridge)
It surprises you how easily a bridge of a hundred years, forged from the sweat and tears and blood of shared friends, crashes and burns.
It doesn’t matter how many years have gone into its making; it doesn’t matter how steady you thought it beneath your feet. One moment of inaction is all it takes, and she’s sliding your master’s hands from her shoulders, averting her eyes. You think you can see the smoke as everything goes up in flames.
You didn’t know her then, yuki-onna. You won’t know her for another forty years.
.
.
.
(Knife)
You haven’t been called upon in years.
Even the best swords rust if they’ve been neglected. You’re not sure you can even call yourself a sword any more. A kitchen knife, maybe— maybe less than that. A butterknife. You almost envy that imposter that once took up space inside his mind, as much as you had cursed him once— he, at least, had bailed while the King was intact. You could overthrow him now, sure, but for what? There’s no point in ruling over a field of ashes. His fire has long since burned out.
(A very very short snippet of a Bleach x Percy Jackson AU)
“You’re a demigod.”
Ichigo blinks. “I know I’m good-looking, but that’s coming on a little strong, don’t you think?”
The girl with the odd violet eyes smacks him upside the head. “Not that kind of demigod, you fool,” she snaps. “I doubt an oaf like you would be familiar with Greek mythology—”
“No, I know a little.” It takes a short second to sink in, and when it does, he bolts up from his chair. “Wait, demigod as in Greek mythology demigod—??”
“Yes.”
“But, but,” he splutters, “we’re Japanese.”
She smacks him again, harder. “Don’t question it, fool!”
(idk what this is but I like it.)
In his dreams, he loses her a hundred, a thousand, a million different ways. To fire, to flood, to a sword through the gut; to creeping disease and the ravages of time. Always right before his eyes, so that he can see the life draining from her; always, always, always helpless.
None of the dreams ever hurt as much as waking up does.
(A really, really old (several years at least) highschool soccer AU fic I started bc Korea lost to Australia in the Asian Cup and I got pissed as hell lmao)
The shrill blast of the whistle cut through the morning air as twenty-two people erupted into simultaneous noises of outrage, but one voice carried clearly over the rest.
“A foul?! Which part?! Any moron could have seen that it was his foot that tripped me over!”
“Not bloody likely!” snarled player fifteen, his face slowly flushing to match his distinctive orange hair. “Look at her! I’m not even sure she’s tall enough to actually trip over my feet! If anything, she’s the one that was underfoot, not me!”
“Underfoot?” The woman’s eyes flashed dangerously as she took a step closer to player fifteen, and despite being a clear foot and a half taller, he stumbled backwards in his haste to avoid her searing anger. “I’ll show you underfoot, you great, big, bullying lout—”
“That’s enough!” Another shrill pipe of the whistle, this time right into the two players’ ears; they jumped back comically, the boy tripping over the ball and landing flat on his backside. The opposing team hid their sniggers behind clean white shirts accented in violet. “Kuchiki, Kurosaki, no name-calling on the field. Kuchiki, last I checked you weren’t the umpire. It’ll be Kurosaki’s free kick. Resume play!”
“I believe in you, onii-chan!” a sweet-looking girl with pigtails called from the stands as the orange-haired striker assumed position; the white-clad team slunk into formation, muttering darkly about the umpire— Mizuiro, wasn’t it? Fucker’s got raisins for eyes— behind his back. Player twenty-three, black-haired, violet-eyed, seething with anger, settled into a defensive stance; her opponent smirked at her lazily.
“Don’t worry, Yuzu, I got this,” he called back to the stands, but his eyes were trained on her.
Bring it, they said.
There was nothing that Kuchiki Rukia did better.
________________________________________________________________
Half time at the annual ‘friendship’ match between Karakura High and Seireitei Academy brought with it a frustrating score of nil-all, multiple yellow cards, numerous fouls and several inappropriate insults hurled across the field. The umpire for the first half had narrowly managed to avoid an angry Seireitei Academy mob, slipping away into the Karakura High stands before blood could be drawn. The game so far had been tight; the two teams were evenly matched, and, as such games tended to go, had been getting increasingly dirty with time.
(Very old Ichiruki sort of camp counsellors AU I was writing based on some of my own experiences with mentoring at camps)
“We are going to annihilate you.”
A perfectly acceptable sentiment in team sports, had it not been for the fact that currently, their teams were made up of borderline terrified seventh-graders on their first highschool camp. Kuchiki Rukia brandished a finger in his direction, and Kurosaki Ichigo rolled his eyes.
“In your dreams,” he retorted, spinning his makeshift paddle in one hand and looking for all the world like a full-grown adult to their coterie of kids. The mischievous gleam in his eyes, however, could only belong to a teenager, and a reckless, headstrong, seventeen-year-old one at that. “Bring it, Queen midget.”
“For god’s sake, you’re leading kids. Do you have no shame?” Ishida Uryuu interjected from the side, rolling his sleeves up methodically and pushing his glasses up his nose. Behind him, Inoue Orihime smiled apologetically, ushering yet more seventh graders along behind her. Rukia and Ichigo looked at each other.
“Not really,” they both replied, before turning to their frightened looking protegees.
“Besides, you guys want to win too, don’t you?” Rukia asked, flashing a grin that was all teeth. There was a short silence.
One brave soul nodded.
________________________________________________________________
Peer mentoring as a concept had existed for a while now in education; it developed leadership and organisational skills for the mentor, helped younger students settle into the rhythm of school life with minimal discomfort and fostered a sense of unity and mutual respect throughout the school. A beneficial arrangement all around, many schools had soon adopted the procedure of assigning an older peer mentor to a group of younger students. Karakura high was no exception; their ten-week peer mentoring program in which students in their twelfth and final year of schooling each mentored a group of roughly five seventh-graders was generally acknowledged to be the best leadership program around for miles, and looked stellar on any resume, reference letter or college application one cared to write.
So there was no way in hell that Kurosaki Ichigo and Kuchiki Rukia, two of the most promising students of the 2015 graduating class, was about to pass that chance up.
(Old hichiruki oneshot set straight after the fullbring reunion)
He’s taller.
Kuchiki Rukia is used to being small; used to having men and women tower over her day and night, used to fighting and defeating people and monsters that far outstrip her in size. Her lack of physical presence is something she is long accustomed to, such that she barely gives a passing thought to size differences between her and her opponents these days. People who are taller and bigger than her have long since ceased to unnerve her, given how she has been positively diminutive all her life—
So then why am I so acutely aware of the fact that he’s taller than me?
Not just taller than her, no; taller than before, specifically. Silently, Rukia berates herself; human males grow, it’s not as if she didn’t know this. Did she think Ichigo would forever remain the angry fifteen-year-old she had first transferred her powers to? Of course it was natural that he’d have gained a few inches since she’d last seen him, but for some reason, the fact that he is notably taller and broader than when she left him is really hitting home at this moment.
Maybe it’s because of his proximity to her. Suddenly flushing, she realises how close they are standing; attempting to hide her flaming blush (it’s ridiculous, this is Kurosaki Ichigo, why would she be blushing—), she coughs and takes a deliberate step away from him.
.
.
.
“I’m not your princess.”
He cocks his head at her, like a disturbing, overlarge bird. “No?” he hisses, eyes glinting in the half-dark. He grins a grin that’s all teeth, and his tongue curls out and runs across his bottom lip. He slams a fist into his palm as though he’s figured something out. “Queen, then. There, that fits better, anyway. You’re not some timid bitch under someone else’s rule. You only bow for the King, don’t you?”
“I’m not your Queen either,” she says steadily. Her voice does not betray her inner turmoil, and for that she is thankful. “And I don’t bow to anyone—“
The hollow snorts. “Tell that to the King,” he says, getting up from the bed. Rukia smothers her instinctual reaction to take a step back.
(Ichiruki Snow Queen AU, version 1: Ichigo dies in the war with Yhwach, Rukia singlehandedly ends the Thousand Year Blood War, goes insane with grief, turns the Seireitei into a desolate icy wasteland and flees to the snow fields with Ichigo’s body, which she encases in ice and basically becomes a hermit ice queen protecting the corpse of her loved one. Several hundred years later, a reincarnated Ichigo comes to the Seireitei, wonders why everything is so shitty and cold, and decides he’s going to go give this ‘Ice Queen’ a piece of his goddamn mind. He likes summer, ok?)
The thousand year blood war ends like this:
Kurosaki Ichigo falls, blood spurting from a wound that not even Inoue can close. Unohana, who might yet have saved him by dint of accumulated centuries of medical knowledge, lies a lifeless corpse in the bottommost floor of Muken. Urahara is too far away on the battlefield to implement any of his clever schemes, and his father is god knows where, doing god knows what. Aizen watches his demise with passive eyes. Yhwach swings his broadsword, and blood trails from its edge in scarlet droplets – scatters on the soil like rain. He laughs, Kurosaki Ichigo falls, and dooms the entirety of the Seireitei to fall with him.
Yhwach laughs, because he can see it now, his victory, his victory, Soul Society his to rule and a realm of endless carnage that would ensure he never lose the light– but all those eyes and that almost infinite power of his could not have shown him what came next.
It is not Kurosaki Ichigo he has to worry about. It is a tiny shinigami, not even worth making the special war potentials list, barely a foot soldier before her promotion to lieutenant a year prior to the battle. She is the one who ends the thousand year blood war, she and her zanpakutou spirit and the mindless energy that comes with the severance of a fate ordained by a higher being than he could have ever imagined.
For if the Soul King evades his prophetic eyes, what hope does he have of perceiving the fabric of destiny woven by a power greater and more terrible than ten Soul Kings combined?
The moment he felled Kurosaki Ichigo was the moment he sealed his mortal fate. The last thing Yhwach sees before frost encases him is a blinding pillar of white annihilating half of the Seireitei.
(Ichiruki Snow Queen AU, version 2: Sode no Shirayuki gets jealous of the ‘unbreakable bond’ between Rukia and Ichigo, and also she thinks that Rukia’s kind, giving heart is basically barring her from true greatness, so she blankets the Seireitei in an eternal winter, erases Rukia’s memories and kidnaps her to some ice castle on the edge of a cliff, so she can train her to be the Queen of the universe that Shirayuki knows she can be. Ichigo, predictably, is having None Of That Shit, thank you very much.)
Winter comes upon the Seireitei without warning that year.
Softly, quietly, almost without anyone noticing, the first snow comes, blanketing the eaves of the nobles’ and the commoners’ houses alike, the cold winds starts stealing into the alleyways and shakes the last of the autumn leaves off the trees, creeping frost scurries along the pavement, filling their cracks–
and slowly, imperceptibly, the unfurling of something colder than the winter, pale violet eyes blinking open, waking to the world it observes with dispassionate detachment before deciding–
something was wrong.
.
.
.
She looks out the window, to the blizzard just starting up outside; he is still there, waiting in the snow.
“Who is he, Shirayuki?” she asks later, when it is just the two of them and any cries of her name— Rukia, Rukia— are drowned out by the wind whipping through the corridors. “He burns like the sun.”
The tiniest furrowing of Shirayuki’s brow, an almost imperceptible tremble in her hands— but then she blinks, and it is gone.
“I know not, and I care even less,” she says, face smooth and cold. “The sun is no friend to the snow, Rukia.”
(...Some kinda timeskip!feels, I suppose?)
It’s been 17 months, not that he’s been counting.
Or maybe he has; and who would blame him? After all the shit that happened to him two winters ago, the peaceful life he’s living now seems almost like a dream. He lives in constant fear—
Fear?
— fear of it disappearing, like so much smoke through his fingers, so is it any wonder he keeps count, to this day? You know, kind of like those joke signs about workplace safety. It has been X days since our last nonsense. Yeah, that’s definitely what it was. Every day that he adds to his mental tally reassures him—
does it
— reassures him, and one day there’ll be so many days that he’ll have lost count. One day the days that he’s had to count will outnumber the days that he hasn’t counted, and he looks forward to that day with a reverence bordering on fanaticism; he can’t wait till he can do away with the tally altogether, until he’s secure enough in his normal
mundane
life that he no longer has to count every new day like an
disappointment
achievement. Because that day will come, he tells himself, gritting his teeth, curling his hands into fists, that day will come when he no longer leaves his windows open at night and leans into the cold snap of the frost; that day will come when he doesn’t jerk away from butterflies and look the other way when he sees Inoue or Chad or Ishida running down the corridors, skipping class. The tally is only one part of it, the easiest part of it all; and that day will come when he can take it down from his mental walls and throw it in the trash. But for now, for now—
Seventeen months and a day, since he last saw spirits.
