I had a very specific whump idea in my head and I was wondering if you ever saw it. Character A is carrying an unconscious Character B and is about to put them down. Character A (or others on hand) cradles Character B's head as they're lowered so it doesn't hit the surface they're being laid on too hard.
Oh my god nonny that trope is SO GOOD!! I LOVE IT SO MUCH!! It should be used more often!! It's so soft and caring and I die every single time. I definitely have some examples of it.
My immediate thought is this scene in Merlin 2x06 after Arthur takes the potion to slow his heartbeat and breathing so it seems like he's dead. Like, I read this description you wrote and my brain conjured this moment.
Other good moments:
Hawaii Five-0 10x22 Steve cradling Danny's head as he lowers him into his lap.
Graceland 3x08 The whole team has a hand on Mike but Paige puts her hands behind his head as they lower him into the ice bath and i love it.
The A-Team 5x14 Frankie and Murdock protecting his head as they carefully lower Face down to the ground after being shot.
Stargate SG-1 4x18
The Greatest Showman when PT lowers an unconscious Phillip to the ground after rescuing him from the fire and WD cradles his head
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
Avengers Endgame Nebula cradling the back of Tony's head as she lays him on the chair
One Piece Live Action 1x06
Supernatural 14x14 When Sam rolls Dean over he cradles the back of his head.
Saving Hope 1x01

Stargate rewatch: 1x06 Cold Lazarus
It’s crystal doppelgänger time!
We have abandoned the helmets entirely, now Jack in his cap is the only one with headgear.
Jack’s locker is next to Ferretti’s, do we assume he took over command of SG-2 when Kawalsky died?
In Jack's Van Dyck cigar box o' secrets: a b&w photo of two kids, his wedding ring, a culturally inappropriate coin pouch, a picture of Jack with what we can assume is his mother, Jack in military getup, and lots of pics of Charlie at different ages.
Ok we get a timeline clue - Sam says she’s known Jack for “months”.
Oh hey, there’s a female scientist in the lab! Who talks to Sam! Is this the show’s first official pass of the Bechdel test? Okay Daniel is technically present, but the exchange is with Sam about EM fields. Checking the cast list she’s only credited as “laboratory assistant” but I’m going to go ahead and say it counts.
Poor Teal’c’s room is so sparse, and the way he reacts to the tv indicates that it’s new.
Teal'c: "You received permission for me to fire my staff weapon in the gateroom?" Sam: "Oh Yeah." Daniel: "Absolutely!" Hee.
Sam and Daniel are really paired up a lot in these early episodes, not only doing their science twin thing, but for the character moments.
Daniel is wearing surgical gloves to examine the crystal, seems prudent.
I don’t ship Jack/Sam, but I am amused by the physical resemblance between her and Sara. This is a cute outfit too.
You may remember Harley Jane Kozak as Susan (with the bulimia) in Parenthood or Helen (Harry’s ex) in When Harry Met Sally. She’s really great as Sara, she and RDA have a nice chemistry and sense of history and there's a palpable difference in her interactions with crystal!Jack here and real!Jack later.
“Holly Hannah!” Hee, I love Sam.
Teal’c rattles off the sports teams of Chicago - guess he was doing a lot of reading before he got that tv. Jack tells him not to forget the Cubs - earlier we saw a photograph of Charlie in a Cubs shirt so that’s a nice touch.
“I did not understand your injury.” This whole scene hits me, I feel so bad for poor crystal!Jack, just trying to make things right.
Sara is going to need a boatload of therapy after this. I know they intended this episode as closure to Jack/Sara and his grief over Charlie, but I would have liked to have seen her again.
I hope they sent the other crystal back too!

(sara in 1x06 "cold lazarus")
(sam in 1x12 "fire and water")

Hey there
Favourite supergirl episodes from any season?
Hello!
Hmmm let's see
Season 1: All of it, I have such a soft spot for season 1 but if I had to choose then definitely 1x06 where Kara has to work through a lot of her anger, 1x09 when she's trying so hard to prove to Cat she's not Supergirl, 1x16 with the red kryptonite and 1x18 with the Flash crossover
Season 2: 2x05, with Lena and the gala (and Kara saying 'golly' 😭), 2x12 when Kara is fighting concrete because she's angry that nobody trusts Lena, truly an iconic episode. Also the last 2 episodes purely because Cat Grant (my fav) comes back.
Season 3: 3x05 because of soft drunk Lena, Sam and Kara fighting to prove her innocence and Kara being willing to poison National City to save Lena. 3x09!! Which has (in my opinion) the best fight scene of the whole show. 3x11 because we got to focus on 3 sorta background characters and the dynamic between them was just really cool to watch. 3x12 because it had Kara risking her identity for Lena and the whole lollipop scene between Alex and Sam. Last one I can remember off the top of my head is 3x23 which was a pretty good finale as Supergirl goes, I enjoyed it. Season 3 was really fun.
Season 4: Oh 4x02 is most definitely one of my favourites. It's so goofy and I love it with my whole heart, the role reversal of Lena protecting Kara will forever be funny to me. 4x11, the Nia centric episode, it was kinda sad but I liked getting some of her backstory. Plus Kara was just being great. And I loved literally the whole back half from 4x15 - 4x22. It was so consistently good. I enjoyed everything about those episodes and I could talk about all of them for days!! 4x20 where Kara and Lena go to Kasnia is a contender for my favourite sg episode of all time. There is so much tension, and drama, and Lena worrying about Kara and the almost reveal. It was too good. And 4x22, the finale, was the MOST stressful season finale of anything I've ever watched. I have such vivid memories of terrorising my family with the entire plot of the show just so I could tell about the finale lmao
Season 5: [redacted] lol listen I like angst (with a happy ending) but this season draaaaaged it out SO long. I like 5x03 when I mostly ignore the context. 5x07 and 5x08 were so very heartbreaking and they are faves based on the acting. 5x13 (the 100th) was the best episode of the season imo. And also the last episode I remember enjoying that season.
Season 6: Very early days but the only episode I didn't enjoy was 6x02
I think that's pretty much it? I'm definitely going to remember more immediately after I hit post but oh well 😂 I've rambled on quite a lot but this was fun. Thanks for the ask.

Hi, do you know of any good movies (or tv shows for that matter) with an over intimate antagonist? Thank you! (:
I can’t think of too many movies at the moment. But for tv check out: 9x02 & 11x21 Supernatural, 3x02 Killjoys, 7x12 Stargate SG-1, 1x04 & 1x06 Legion, 7x01 The Walking Dead, 1x08 Legend of the Seeker (he is completely broken because of it too) and 7x07 Once Upon a Time. :)

Stargate SG-1 1x06 "The First Commandment"
SPOILER ALERT
Another ancient civilization
I hope we can see developed civilizations, maybe super-civilizations. But it is really good seeing such cultures. And beliefs. A planet without atmosphere.
It was clever that Jamala used that weapon of jaffa. So everyone saw anyone could use that weapon.
And we see how beliefs can be dangerous without questioning.
I like the episode.

[initial reactions] Star Trek Discovery 1x05-1x06
I liked these episodes much better than 1x04! But I watched these two together so they’ve kind of blended together.
In bulletpoints
I love Michael’s mentorship of Tilly and compassion for the Tardigrade...
And was that a hint to the mirrorverse??? This early in the game??? Hmmm.. Mirrorverse episodes tend to happen later in a series once we get to know the crew.
Ash is interesting and honestly, I thought that the situation Lorca was a set-up for one of the prisoners ratting out Lorca, which happened but I have a hunch that this spy game is not yet over especially when the... I forget the Klingon captain’s name. Anyway, I suspect we haven’t seen the last of Mudd... he has that Harry Maybourne of SG-1 quality. Someone who’s gonna cause them trouble and a source of eventual hilarity.
Sarek continues to be a fountain of father issues to both Michael and Spock and Amanda, as always, is awesome and want more of her.
Lorca sending out the Admiral to certain doom, someone he cares about at that is both shady and self-serving. He wants to keep his rank and gambled his friend’s life.
I’m seeing Michael, Tilly, and Ash as the action trio of the Discovery crew.
NGL I kind of ship Michael/Ash.
...I’m afraid that the double agent game is still not finished and if my theory is true it’s both plausible and problematic because it will all be circling back to STD’s problematic handling of Klingons.
