Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Saturday's Remember songs like Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, Chitty chitty bang bang, Chim chim chee-ee, A spoonful of sugar, Winnie the pooh? These were composed by the Sherman brothers! With their theme for composing ; Always together, always one! A spoonful of Sherman is an awesome and fun production to rekindle fond childhood memories or create new ones for yourself or even your children. I enjoyed singing along with the audience and even some of the kids knew some songs too! Thanks to @iamjoel.low for inviting me to catch this production. If only these walls could talk, what stories they could tell! @nationalgallerysingapore @groundz0pointsg The National Gallery Singapore is housed in two of Singapore's historic national monuments, the former Supreme Court Building and City Hall. Both have witnessed crucial moments in Singapore's history in the 20th century. These buildings' history and stories have been woven into an interesting tale and a fun interactive theatre tour - "Shadows IN the Walls" - by GroundZ-0, a theatre company. They've woven stories of these two buildings and turned it into live theatre, combining facts and reenactment of crucial periods, with ghosts from the pasts that tells you their stories. The audience is taken on an after-hours tour across the carvenous spaces. It was a fun and interesting way of telling the stories of these two monuments with an array of characters which captivated the audience's attention by making us part of it. Despite the messy lines and smudged ink, the dance between pen and paper always satisfies my need for imagination. The thrill of figuring out different perspectives and putting them together into a flat surface is like an addiction. Just like theatre, and well, many other art forms, art challenges both the artists and the audiences.
