this is kinda silly, but one of the things that came to my mind when Eddie kept screaming Buck's name like THAT was that afterwards his voice is hoarse and raspy bc he strained it (bc did you hear him omg), and he can barely speak etc - à la that scene in lemonade mouth when Olivia yelled at Wen and then could barely speak (lmao, I know, wtf, no idea why this was my first thought 😂) but worse

and I wanted to write a fic around it - and I started it with the drive to the hospital
