I’m taking a break from Cupid Parasite to try this new game : Tengoku Struggle. Since it’s the same team that worked on Olympia Soirée, I’ll probably like this game. I can’t wait to learn more about it!😁

I finished Sharaku’s story. It was good and I liked him.😊

But I must admit I’m a bit disappointed with the game’s main story so far and the common route was long.🙁 Jack and Goemon are the ones that interest me the most but I can’t play their routes.

Some otome thoughts and slight spoilers incoming!

Sooooo…Tengoku Struggle is a funny silly otome, which is Olympia Soirée meeting shonen manga kind of vibe!

I finished Yona and Sharaku’s routes so far and Yona 😭😭 (who would’ve thought I’d love another red haired ore-sama otome dude right? hehe he’s also the sweeetest tsundere type)

Anyway, Yona’s route feels organic, cute, slightly angsty at times (just a little) and romance in the end is just ughhh

My boy also reads a lot (smutty books too hehe) even if he’s a bit of a himbo? Please, wrap him.

My guy’s been even calling us his wife 😭

Anyway, I got too comfy too soon, because Sharaku’s route…ummm

Well, it’s otome style kind of messy. I still really like him as a character and if mc was me, everything would be fine and dandy (and consensual). But what happens in the game is him constantly sexually assaulting and harassing mc.

The ending, even if it’s like full on romance and accepted mutual attraction still feels like he coerced and guilt tripped mc into having sex with him. 👿

I kinda get what they were trying to show with his behaviour (relates to his past as a Tea House worker (if you know you know)), and there are plenty of moments when it’s shown that due to his trauma/life experience he doesn’t value his own bodily autonomy that much. Which I guess is how he feels towards other people as well. Still, it was unpretty and unpleasant and not sexy in the least cause the game portrayed it in a cute/sexy/desirable type of way not like when dealing with yandere/abusive characters.

I’d love it if he remained his overly flirty and sexually unrestrained self, but didn’t push it that much with sa stuff.

I didn’t even make any screenshots of him cause I’ve been in a constant state of “gurl are you for real” during this route.

What I like the most so far, is the abundance of pretty npcs with amazingly written backstories! I’m not joking when saying that literally everyone in this game is an eye candy!

My favorite NPC is kind of hell - Emma, who’s overly quirky and too attached to our mc - his adopted daughter. I guess I cannot just overcome how goofy he sounds when also possessing Toji Fushiguro’s voice and insisting on mc calling him ‘papa’ 😏
