Cookie run school au (Ancients and Legendaries)

I'm doing this because I literally cannot get this idea out of my head

Ancients and Legendaries are the teachers at the school with millennial tree cookie being the Principal. Pure Vanilla and White Lily are the vice principals

Hollyberry and Pitaya are the PE teachers (most students prefer hollyberry cuz they think she is fun)

Moonlight and Sea fairy are in charge of the younger levels and they are pretty well liked by the whole school (the students are also massive supporters of their relationship)

Longan Dragon cookie teaches history but everyone hates them because of how judgemental and harsh they are

Lotus Dragon cookie is in charge of the aesthetics department, overseeing classes like music and art. Some students are afraid of them, some admire them

Dark Cacao teaches math. Popular among the girls(cuz he is dilf material). unfortunately for dark choco, Caramel arrow and crunchy chip, who are his children/ adopted children, they see a lot of girls simping over dark cacao and they just have to bear with the knowledge that their peers are actively simping for their father

White Lily and pure vanilla still do teach on top of their administrative work as the vice principals. White Lily teaches all sciences(chemistry and biology are her favourites) and Pure Vanilla teaches english

Fire spirit is the substitute that everyone loves. He puts on music while the students do their assigned work and lets them go on their phones once they are done. He also hangs out with the students a lot outside of class and is given the title of best teacher by the whole student body despite him not actually teaching

Wind archer is also a substitute although he is more serious than fire spirit. No phones during lesson, no chatting until you are done with your work and so on. Still popular with girls cuz he has a "pretty face"

Ananas is the secretary at the principal's office and they are an asshole to whoever disrupts their work. Once Pitaya messed with some of their stuff during their break and they literally barged into their PE lesson and fought them. The students were placing bets on who would win but in the end neither of them won because hollyberry came in and separated the two

Frost Queen is the discipline headmaster and most people stay out of her way out of fear. Only a few students dare to have casual conversations with her, though she is still very formal during these conversations

Golden cheese is in charge of the clubs and extra curricular activities. Also another one of the more popular teachers, students sometimes gets her jewellery for teachers day

& Juliet as a high school drama/romcom show: Juliet: people don't like her much. she's not very good at most classes, but she's good at sport. she takes french but she's absolutely hopeless at it. Lance tried to get Francois to teach her, but he couldn't. she's terrible. she and May get bullied a lot, but she stands up for them both. she has punched people before and will do it again May: very open about their gender and sexuality. spends a lot of time in the library. theyre great at english and drama. a lot of people hate them and are dicks but theyre fine. younger queer students come out to them all the time. they hate school but it's nice to know that they help other queer people. a pretty big advocate for all the different students, including themself and Juliet Romeo: he's... very bad at everything. he's openly bisexual though. not as open about being trans. he likes english and science, even though he's terrible at them. people absolutely love him though. everyone is in love with him but very few people like Juliet. unfortunately for them, shes his girlfriend and he loves her so much. he has lost friends because they didnt like Juliet. he also likes art and takes it with Juliet and May Francois: he's actually not that bad at academic stuff. he's good at maths, french, etc. he takes science. he and Romeo met by being assigned as lab partners in biology. they fail a lot because Francois gets scared and Romeo is bad at everything. people tend to ignore him, except for Romeo who is unofficially his best friend. he has a crush on May but hes pretty sure they dont know he exists before he befriends them and Juliet. he is wrong. also he's in the dungeons and dragons club the other main characters dont work at the school or go to the school. Anne works at a school though. just not this one

i might end up making a side blog dedicated to the good doctor

anyway here are a few reasons i love it so much.

yes the autism representation is good. there are some incredibly subtle representations of autism that are represented that aren't brought up even in autism centric spaces much and that fact makes me incredibly happy (for example, i don't see a lot of discussion about shutdowns, but as someone who experiences shutdowns more than meltdowns, seeing an autistic character shutdown because he's overstimulated, then see another character refer to it as "falling apart" made me feel represented because it can feel like you're falling apart, and from the outside, it looks like you're falling apart). like at the very least i feel represented.

i swear to god lea has adhd. shaun and lea give me audhd couple vibes and i love it. at the absolute least, lea is definitely not neurotypical.

the good doctor made me want to pursue a medical career again. not just "oh, something like bioengineering where i'd be working in the medical field would be super fun!!" no. i want to get a bachelor's in biology, go to medical school, and do a residency in either neurology or surgery (possibly something else, i'm not entirely sure yet). if i can get some structure in my life and find a place to live in salt lake city (where they have a university that doubles as a med school and a teaching/research hospital) i can absolutely start the journey to being a doctor at an actual hospital as soon as next fall.

im learning about actual conditions i didnt know about. did you know theres a real congenital deformity of the spinal cord that leads to your spinal cord being split in half at a certain point, leading to what basically results in two functional spinal cords? or that your heart can develop outside the ribcage, and protrude outside the chest? or that just getting a surgery, no matter how sterile the operating room and surgical tools are, can give you sepsis, because cutting you open can leave you vulnerable to bacteria regardless of sterility of the surgical environment due to the bacteria inside your body (risk goes up depending on the surgery; for example, your risk for sepsis goes up if you get surgery on your intestines for obvious reasons)?

theres what i perceive to be a realistic balance between personal experience/empathy and objective medical knowledge when it comes to the doctors in the good doctor. for example, morgan not wanting to fuck up a patient's chances of playing violin in the future, and this resulting in the patient's arm getting amputated. on the other hand, shaun's objectiveness means in that same situation, he was trying to convince morgan to do testing, something she was hesitant to do. i think that experience helped morgan find a middle ground between being empathetic and being practical about what tests and such she needs to do in the future; as melendez tells her, one day, she will kill a patient. all doctors eventually do; mistakes are made, surgical errors are made, signs and symptoms are missed, things get misdiagnosed, and a patient dies. i feel like that's a very grim reality in medicine that people don't like to acknowledge (especially people who practice medicine) and adds some realism to the good doctor that isn't seen much in shows centered around anything medical. it's something i'll have to accept if i do decide to go into medicine. yes, the goal is to save people; but i can't save everyone, and in my career i will almost be guaranteed to make mistakes that result in someone dying. the earlier i can accept that (before residency is best), the better off i'll be as a doctor, no matter what specialty i decide to go into.

most of shaun's colleagues are super accommodating when it comes to shaun's autism. it's just a detail i appreciate. they also figure out what helps him out of meltdowns/shutdowns fairly fast, which is another thing i can appreciate.

Also hmmm what was Abel and the other moonlight reverie crew like when they were going through ISA(and what does Isa stand for!!!) I love ur ocs so much it's insane their like friends to me :]

ISA is like a college sort of! Like where ensigns train to intern for starfleet! it stands for Institute of Space Associations! It particularly focuses on communication with and study of Whos Out There! Theres other space-centric places that teach things more related to the running of ships and the mechanical stuff. ISA has classes for that too but definitely is known for the specialty in .. well. Space Associations!!! You can go for however long you need to finish all your assignments & internships, generally about 5-7 years. Space Travel is Serious Business !! Id say its a bit like medical school, or getting a masters degree!

Abel & Manabi went to ISA together :] Manabi has always been a sort of All-or-nothing type of lady so shes very much a hard worker, very focused on her studies and training! and she is doing the equivalent of double majoring, learning interspace relations and engineering! she loves loves loves spaceships. Poor ladys diet consisted of 90% crappy coffee, and she didnt get out much. Abel sort of kept an eye on her! She was busy too, of course, but doesnt let her work consume her quite like manabi does. Abel focused in Broad Medicine, including the study of how to apply current medical knowledge to an unknown species! She is really interested in extraterrestrial biology too hehe. Abel makes sure manabi gets at least some sort of food throughout the week, and manabi helps abel on any mechanical questions. During this time also they dig up a bunch of old VHS tapes of scifi movies, manabi rigs up a device so that they can play them, and they get really into it. Thats why abels cat is named spock!

Shape was their underclassman! It was actually kind of there to Be studied, but took on quite a few internships in his time there, and did take & pass the final test, so he gets an honorary graduation. Abel met Shape in one of her classes where he was explaining Gaseous Cloud Science Stuff, but they didnt become friends at this time! So Abel & Manabi graduated together (yay!) and Shape graduated (technically) a year or so later. The rest of the main crew did not attend ISA! The planet Zee is from is pretty private, but ce went to a similar sort of school and is interning on the Andromeda Grace! Bunny is a stoaway LOL. Babble and Murmur went to a different, less intense, school for botany. And Dawn … Contains the skeleton of somebody who went to ISA, way back in the day. But she is not this person. Sort of? Oh shes a whole can of worms. I love her.

Shape has gotten more confident, in the years between the present and attending ISA, i think! They enjoy floatin around the andromeda grace and just hanging out, and doesnt spend so much of their time teaching people what they Are, anymore! Abel & Manabis dynamic hasnt changed much, except for Abel being busier now and Manabi having a job that makes it Mandatory to take decent care of herself and not spend all day peering over reports and planning treks and the such. They dont get to be around each other as much as they were in the ISA but they find time to hang out! Usually over a shoddy VHS and a cup of joe. Theyre so lesbians. Heart!

Chapter 1 of "Light"

My name is Ryuka harakawa. I am know as a really smart student and I have been accepted to a high school dedicated to students that are intelligent as I am. Think of it like Harvard... almost. This school is a little different since it also looks for students that are gifted in talent in which I didn't meet that criteria. I've always wanted to expand my field in science research and have a career in marine biology. I look really in depth at everything I see and I've always wanted to see the ocean one day. Today was the beginning if a new chapter. I found myself at the steps of my new school reading the name "Atamagi highschool home for talent and smarts" the name alone made me smile and fill with excitement. Everything was going to be great for me. I wish my parents were here to see all this, unfortunately they passed away when i was only 5. The three of us were in a major car accident and i was the only sole survivor. I dont really have many fond memories of them but my gram gram always tells me stories about my mother and sometimes about my father. My aunt Maki also tells me a lot of things about my mother and sometimes tells me things about my father that gram gram didn't know about. The two of them love together, since my aunt is paralyzed from the waist down. Me and gram gram usually help her out a lot since she was also in a var accident with a boy she liked but he crashed into a tree while being intoxicated. Both luckily survived but the boy never talled to my aunt ever again. She says she doesn't hate him but it's just rude to just ditch her after everything. He didnt even care to even check on her after the crash, plus he only suffered minor damages.

Gram gram liked to sew a lot and would usually sew my clothes expect for my school uniform. She was kinda upset about it but I reassured her that it was okay and she should keep making me more clothing anyway. This moring she handed me a pin and told it was for good luck and everyone was going to love me. I love my family, and if anything were to happen to them I wouldnt know what I would do.

At the school gates I spoted a small group of people. They were surrounding a student throwing rocks at them. I had to do something, and on the first day too. That seemed to be very inappropriate to me. "Hey, Stop!" I said as I stepped in. It was a boy, the same age as me. "Aw, would you look at this girl. She trying to be the hero. How stupid." One of the bullies said. "How about we teach her a lesson about hunter and prey." One of the other bullies said with a smirk. I stomped my foot and said, "Look at yourselves. Do you guys even realize what you are doing? This isn't right, especially on the first day." One of the bullies looked at me. Her hair was long, blonde with purple highlights at the tips. "Aw, I think we should listen to her. Never!" She laughed with the other bullies. There was a total of five of them. The boy grabbed my hand and said, "Let's get out of here!" And we ran. We entered the school and stopped in a hallway. I was out of breath, but I wanted to ask him questions. "Hey, are you okay?" "I'm fine..." "you don't seem fine." "I am... now leave." He seemed kinda rude especially just considering I just stopped him from getting bullied. "Hey, maybe we started off on the right foot. What's your name?" "Why does it matter? You're just gonna be like them." He seemed scared and was trembling. I saw that his arm was bleeding, so I reached into my bag and pulled out a bandage. "Here, I see that your arm is bleeding." I said with a cheerful smile. He looked at me and smiled. "Thanks, but why are you doing this for me?" "Because I'm not a twisted individual." He seemed really happy now. "Alright, my name is Ryu Ichigawa." The name Ichigawa, it felt familiar before but I could decipher where I had heard it before. "I'm Ryuka Harakawa, I hope we can become great friends." He looked at me with shock. "I dont think that would be a good option..." "why?" I asked. "Nevermind, nice meeting you." He waved me goodbye. He seemed very suspicious. I took out my phone and noticed I was going to be late for my first class. I panicked and I didn't even know what or where my first class was.

Eventually, I found my class despite being 5 minutes late. And to my surprise I saw him again in that class. I sighed and sat down. The girl that sat right next to me slamed her hands on my desk and looked at me with the biggest smile on her face. "Oh my god, I love you pin!! It's so cute!!!" Her eyes with different colors, the left being green and the right being blue. I had never seen anyone with heterochromia before. "Hey! Are you going to respond? You looking at my eyes arent you? Man, I'm not a monster!!!" She cried. "Oh, sorry. I spaced out for a second. Thanks for your comment though." "Eh? What kind of reponse is that?" "One I thought would be mature to answer with, sorry." "What’s your name?" "I am Ryuka Harakawa." "Hmph, I'm Setsuna Kodaki the girls that outshines everyone else and it's not because of my eyes." "You want to sing and be an idol?" "Not really..." it seemed I had dampened the mood. "I really like to draw a lot if things. Such as really cute animals, like cats." She said. She pulled out her sketckbook and showed me many of her drawings. They were pretty impressive, sadly i wished i had talent like hers. "Your work is pretty impressive." I said to her. "Thank you!!" She sat down at her seat really quickly when the teacher stepped into the classroom. He was even later than i was. "Sorry, I had an issue on my way here. I am your english teacher."

After school i was met with Setsuna. "Hey there Harakawa-san! I want you to meet my friend." A shy girl, a little shorter than Setsuna stood next to her. "Hi, I'm Margie Smith. I'm a foreign exchange student from

Senria. Nice to meet you..." she seemed like didnt want to continue the conversation. I looked at my phone. I recieved a text messags from my best friend Tsukuba. It read, "want 2 get ice cream tmmr?" I responded "of course!" My gram gram wasn't too fond of Tsukuba since she was older than me and plus she knew my mother in ways that gram gram and aunt never told me before. But Tsukuba never really liked to talk about the topic of my mother. She liked to talk about cosplay, video games and anime she watched. I started my walk home. Today was really nice and I was already starting to like this new school. I was already excited to go the next day. I reached my home and noticed the door was locked. That was odd to me, but luckily i had a key. I unlocked the door and called my aunt and gram gram names. No response. They should've been home, even if they went out. I ran to my aunt bedroom. I knocked on her door. No response. My heart racing. I raced to my gram gram room. I knocked on her door. No response again. I opened her door only to find the unthinkable. There laid the corpses of my gram gram and aunt Maki.

They're (canonically?) warm blooded

Reptiles take a lot longer to heal than mammals, which is a trait that carried over after the mutation. When they were little they would get a lot of infections (its hard wrangling 4 children under ten, Splinter had a hard time keeping every single cut clean). They own a lot of bandages (specifically fun cartoon band aids) because they have to wear them for much longer periods.

They! Make! Turtle! Sounds! And they picked up some rat sounds from Splinter! Splinter knows what all the turtle sounds mean, but never makes any himself. The first time April heard the turtle sounds she demanded they teach her. She cant make them exactly so she'll make a similar enough sound and they'll joke that she's just got a thick accent

Like most reptiles they will continue to grow throughout their lives! Thats why future!Leo was so big

They've eaten plenty of questionable things growing up. And still will if bribed with enough money. One of the reasons they love Run of the Mill so much is they serve Yokai food aka food with some gross stuff (ex. that pizza with eyes the twins ate when they took April)

Splinter has no idea how old they actually are. Neither does Draxum he didnt exactly care what day his subjects were hatched he just needed them to be juveniles. They were mutated 13 years ago so in reality they are all (mentally?) 13. Splinter needed to put someone in charge while he was gone and the reasoning was because "he's the oldest" because how do you argue with that? And then eventually the kids asked who the second oldest was and Splinter panicked and just went in height order. He randomly picked birthdays and accidentally made Leo 20 days older than Donnie

Splinter's DNA is the reason they're such good ninjas. Somehow. I dont see how thats genetic but yep thats the reason. They pick up moves really fast, so growing up on Lou Jitsu movies and having easy access to youtube allowed them to learn moves visually. Splinter also gave them all a crash course on fighting before he ever let them start going off on their own

Growing up

Splinter named them after colors! Growing up he had to color code everything to avoid "but its mine" disputes. It took him a while to figure that out so they actually didnt have names for that time.

April was the one who started the twin debate. At the time (she was idk 10?) she didnt understand how two siblings born in the same year could not be twins.

Raph and his duty of older brother is essential for the family, but the most substantial role is held by Donnie. Splinter is the father but Donnie is the true provider. Before Donnie got old enough to play around with fixing things the family lived a very different life. Donnie is the reason they have a tv, working kitchen appliances, clean water despite living in a sewer, electric lighting and heating. He's the only one who regularly brings money in and organizes things like online shipping or grocery delivery (thank you internet!). Donnie looks at something and sees something entirely out of the box, and then makes it a reality. Leo found the area that became the lair, but Donnie is the one who made those concrete tubes a functional home. And he did it all just to see if he could. Splinter didnt think he could do it, but it kept the boys entertained all day so he let them have at it. Splinter feels guilty so much has fallen on Donnie's shoulders over the years, but he is so grateful that Donnie turned out to be so smart

General

All the brothers are really smart, just in different capacities. Donnie prefers engineering and computer science but also picks up other science subjects fast. Leo's is harder to see, it manifests more in quick thinking, puzzles, and people skills. He's also really good at math. Mikey is good at seeing patterns, in both objects and relationships. Raph is in emotional intelligence, particularly internally.

When Cassandra said "my friends call me 'Casey'" she meant that only to Splinter, and the rest still had to earn the right to call her "Casey"

Raph and Casey (Sr) somehow become best friends. No one expected it.

Donnie has scars on his shell, but most of them are from minor everyday things and not true fights. Raph has the most scars due to his tendency to use himself as a shield to protect his brothers

Leo, Donnie, and Mikey all feel like they didnt earn their spot on the team. Leo because he feels he doesnt offer much (canon), Donnie because if he cant make tech he thinks hes useless (canon), and Mikey because he's the youngest and his brothers are therefore forced to include him (headcanon)

At one point Mikey tricked Splinter and Big Mama into going on a date

All the boys love the joey pouch (its basically a incubator and theyre reptiles). April finds it disgusting (its a very hot and tight space made of flaps of skin and you cant move without lots of effort)

At one point the boys all try to get jobs. Raph tries the Hidden City but gets run out by the police again. Mikey somehow talks Sr Hueso into giving him a job. Donnie attempts to work for Big Mama but in disguise. Leo somehow ends up helping Draxum out in the high school kitchen. None of them last the week. Raph doesnt make a day, Mikey gets into a argument with a chef on day four and quits "on principle", Donnie got discovered on day 2 but out of nostalgia's sake (being her exbf's son) Big Mama let him stay on but it got uncomfortable fast so he bailed also on day 4, Leo finds out he's outlasted all his brothers and goes in on day 5 solely to steal some ice cream bars and then told Draxum he quits when he was already on his way out

Theres a running joke that Piebald is always there but the boys keep forgetting about her. They dont know if her and dad are messing with them again or she actually was there and they just dont notice ("i mean... she can turn invisible. She could have been there")

Post-Movie

Casey Jr lives with them! April and Casey Sr are at college and living in dorms. Plus, he's not quite ready for full emersion into a society thats never had the apocalypse

Growing up Leo had become a father figure to Casey Jr, a person who could do no wrong. After the movie that illusion is clearly shattered, but he still looks up to Leo and the others. Leo has now taken a role closer to Big Brother (someone who can be flawed) than Parental Figure. Leo on the other hand has fully embraced being a role model for Casey Jr and has basically become Raph whenever Casey Jr is around

Casey Sr takes her job as Casey Jr's mom very seriously. She's not the same as future!Casey Sr, obviously, but Casey Jr enjoys spending time with her anyways. If anyone asks they say they're cousins and as a inside joke Casey Jr calls her "mom"

Casey Sr drilled proper etiquette into her son. The boys are working hard to break that ("Master Michelangelo-" "woah buddy, you can just call me 'Mikey'. 'Master Michelangelo' is way too long and too many syllables")

Raph's got scars from being krangified (from when it ripped into his body and from when he ripped it out of his body). He's got some vision problems in his right eye now

Donnie's also got scars from being forcefully ripped out of the control console

Casey Jr is a avid pupil of Nap When You Can and falls asleep everywhere. Showing him a movie? Asleep. Dinner's gonna take another 15 minutes? He's already drooling on the couch. Leo's taking to long to get his gear on? Catnap on the kitchen table. As the new baby of the family everyone carries him to bed instead of waking him up

Mikey begins spending more time over at Draxum's now, learning about mystic powers

Leo being forced to leave Raph behind really left its mark on him. Watching Leo sacrifice himself really left its mark on everyone else. Its not surprising to wake up in middle of the night because someone came in to check on you after a nightmare

i just had a conversation with a mentor figure i really look up to and she basically disagreed with trans people. something along the lines of hormone treatments and surgeries being bad and messing with “natural” biology.

i don’t know to feel. i really look up to this woman and even though i’m not trans i was kind of taken aback by the whole thing. she’s fairly old so i think she’s just a bit behind, but i can’t stop replaying our conversation in my head.

unfortunately its a common occurrence, older generations often dont realise theyre transphobic, racist, sexist etc because they grew up in a society that didnt question those beliefs (which is not an excuse, youre never too old to stop being an asshole)

there is a lot of misinformation out there, and unless you are looking for answers than you probably wont know any better until someone teaches you otherwise. my advice would be to try educate her if you can, if she pushes back and is firm on her transphobia, then it isnt your responsibility to change her views, you can chose to remove her from your life or not.

I realized the book didnt have one so i thought about writing it on my own, im not that great at writing fan fic but i hope you guys like it. Enjoy <3

I liked to think that everything works out in the end, and it almost did, but then I saw him. There he was, in line for a Dr.pepper, with his handsome face, and unruly hair and the memories came flooding back. 

I thought to myself, shit, what do I do, do i look good? Do I go up to him?Maybe I shouldn't. But what if it was one of those times where I regretted not doing something? I should just  go, no I wanna stay. GO. STAY. 

Then all of a sudden he looked at me and a huge smile spread across his face

He’s coming here, I think to myself , god what do i do, what do i say?? tell him you still love him oh my god no, tell him you're married, WHAT NO ? okay but what if he's married ? AHHH why is this happening to me? 

“Hi”, he said, i forgot how to respond for a moment, and then he smiled again “what's going on in your spiral, right now”, “You”,i say without thinking “not in a creepy way tho”, he laughs, “how are you ?”,  “I’m good, though the spiral hasn't left me, which I guess is pretty evident, but I'm getting better. Still can’t kiss someone without freaking out tho, what about you ?How are you? How's Noah?”,  “He's good, he has grown up to be a good guy, although I still have my doubts” I laughed, “So what are you doing here ?”, “Oh nothing just missed home, i guess”.  Before going we both looked at each other with this longing gaze, his dark brown eyes were more alluring than ever, I tried not to succumb to the crazy entropy of this thing between us and then finally,  he said “goodbye, aza”, I smiled “Goodbye, Davis”and he was gone. Again.  

As for my life, I wasn't lying when I said I'm getting better, I still haven”t had c. diff. and  honestly i'm not as fearful as i was anymore. I now teach biology in a university, not far from home. My mom has retired, and I really really hope her baking days do too, ever since she has stopped working, she keeps making me cookies and I just don't have the heart to tell her how terrible they are. As for Daisy, she's now a successful writer and still my best friend. She got engaged to Mychal last summer and I know I'm not the only one surprised by the fact that she said yes.

I still haven't been able to be in a long term relationship but I think I can live with it. I love my job, my friends and my family, and that’s all I need. 

I went home and looked up davis’s blog, i realized i hadn't checked it in a long time

In a few minutes, it was just me and Daisy, floating through the still river. The boat was big enough for us to lie down, and so we did. We looked at the trees that leaned over the water in search of more sunlight. It was as if nothing had changed in these 25 years.

I told her about my short interaction with Davis and what he wrote. 

I told her how much i wanted to go to columbia, and how much i wanted to be with him, but i couldn't, i couldn't just leave indianapolis, i couldn't just leave mom.

All Daisy said was , ”break hearts not promises, holmesly.”

Fanfic writer's director's commentary! Thanks to @candycoloredwolf for the ask! I chose to talk about my first panchulien oneshot 'Wanna Dance?'. I wrote it in a single night on impulse so there's a few grammar mistakes and other stuff I noticed upon revisiting it.

I probably went way overboard on my commentary (oops) but it was so much fun going through it all. I hope this is entertaining.

*the crocodile ambassador gave him an unusually soft smile.*

After everything that's happened in the show, I feel like the croc ambassador would have warmed up to Julien quite a bit and come to respect him as a leader. Also he's trying to butter Julien up before complaining about one of his subjects.

*provided they were on their best behaviour. It had said on the invitation that it was a 'sophisticated' event, so Maurice had managed to wrangle all of the lemurs into formal wear, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, dancing in pairs to the soft music*

Man, I just love it when characters dress up in fancy outfits and go dancing together (like in the prom episode). One of my favourite tropes in fact, so I just had to throw it in there!

*but still all this fancy partnered dancing wasn't entirely to the ringtail's taste.*

As much as I like the formal dancing stuff, it wouldn't be something Julien would enjoy, so he's already looking for an excuse to bounce and throw his own afterparty. He's only stayed so far to try and be polite and improve relations between their kingdoms or something else that Maurice told him to do.

*Clover, Sage and the rest of the mountain lemur kingdom was there, and the king and queen were happily sharing a waltz. Maurice was dancing with his sister while Prince Brodney was teaching their children the steps*

This takes place after the show's finale, but without the inclusion of the zoosters, so sort of like a parallel universe? Where Julien and Clover are monarchs together, which I think is neat. Also People tend to forget that Maurice has a sister, myself included really, and I kinda wish they'd had more cute bonding moments, so I gave then a brother/sister dance.

*even Pancho was leaning against a tree*

Aside from the main squad (excluding Mort of course) Pancho is the only minor lemur that Julien really mentions here. Almost like he was looking for him specifically. Hmmm....

*He caught Julien's eye and winked. Julien chuckled fondly.*

Casual flirt.

*"I do have a minor issue with the behaviour of one of your, ahem, subjects*

That little cough just feels like something the croc ambassador would do when he's embarrassed, or to sound authoritative, so he did.

*Julien tore his eyes away from Pancho*

"Tore his eyes away" almost like he didnt want to look away. Hmmm...

*The anxious lemur was currently giggling as he twirled his new boyfriend around*

Ah, I just want Willie to be happy and have a good time with his bf. He deserves to laugh more. New boyfriend infers that they're in the early stages of their relationship, so they're just messing around being silly and cute and having fun together.

*but Horst and Mary Ann weren't doing much better.*

Horst and Mary Ann deserve a nice romantic dance. It would be pretty awkward because she's twice his size and can only really walk on all fours, but they don't even care. They just cut their own path through the dance floor and ignore everyone else, no matter how annoyed the other dancers are because they keep getting in the way.

*"Well, they're both males!" He said. "It's completely unnatural, wouldn't you agree?"*

Oof, the croc ambassador wants that snooty monarch solidarity with Julien since he's the most popular king in Madagascar, but that ain't happening any time soon. Not with that attitude!

*Julien was lost for words. He had known ever since he was young that he liked boys. Every male in the kingdom liked boys! In fact, it was considered a little unusual if you WEREN'T interested in the same gender.*

I like the idea that homosexuality is just the norm in the party kingdom, kinda like She-Ra. People are just gay and nobody thinks anything of it and coming out is celebrated. Julien doesn't care if you're gay or straight though, he just cares for his peeps and wants them to love who they love.

*whatever their genders were*

A subtle difference between Julien and the croc ambassador, Julien says 'genders' while croc ambassador says 'sexes' because Julien is more open to the idea of gender not being confined to biology.

*Julien took a few deep breaths and tried desperately to not get angry.

"What's the problem man, they're just dancing." He remarked in what he hoped was a neutral tone.*

Julien tries to keep his cool here, a bit of his character development showing. He now knows that everything doesnt have to be a scene, so keeps his temper. It's also kind of to protect Willie and his partner though. He knows they're having a good time and he doesn't want to bring to their attention that their host doesn't like what they're doing, because he knows they'll be upset.

 *"rather not have it ruined by such atrocities being committed!"*

And this was the point where I started to hate the croc ambassador too while writing.

*"Oh, hey Julio." Pancho smiled at him. "I was just gonna-"*

Pancho was just gonna say that he was bored with the party and wanted to leave. He would have asked if Julien wanted to come with (he could tell Julio was getting bored and he couldn't have THAT), which would have been a different fanfiction entirely.

*"Wanna dance?" Julien said.*

I honestly can't remember if I thought of the title or this line first.

*He considered sticking his tongue out at the reptile's back, but ultimately decided that such a juvenile display wasn't the best way to get his point across.*

Again, character development. Julien has matured (a little) and realised that there are better, more fulfilling ways of getting revenge.

*"OK." Pancho said with a shrug, and slid his paw over to Julien's waist,*

Once Pancho can mentally catch up with what's going on, he rolls with it. In fact, he sorta likes the idea of dancing with Julien, and had been trying to gather the courage to ask him for most of the night. I wonder why...

*As they danced though, he began to feel his attention drawn to a different place: how smooth Pancho was on the dance floor,*

We all know Julien's attention span is not great, so there's no way he's going to be able to stay angry when he's too busy being distracted by Pancho's smoothness.

*He raised an eyebrow. "You just couldn't resist?"*

Not entirely subtle flirt.

*"But you know, you're not a bad pick." He patted Pancho on the arm.*

Not entirely subtle either flirt.

*"Abner over there's been missing steps and stumbling all night!" He glanced over at Abner and his wife with a small frown.*

Poor Abner, he's the one getting picked on tonight. Bit of a running gag here.

*Pancho's eyes widened and he instinctively pulled Julien closer, whether it was to shield him or to further prove the point, Julien couldn't tell, but the ringtail wasn't complaining.*

Pancho does pull Julien closer on instinct to protect him, he knows how badly homophobia would hurt Julien's feelings. Julien is just loving it though. He was more angry for Willie's sake than hurt anyways.

*"But us lemurs dance with guys all the time!" Pancho exclaimed. "I've seen you kiss four different guys at a party once! What's his problem?"

"That's what I'm saying, wait I did what?"*

Even if they weren't a couple, dancing together is just something the males would do. They're that casual. And of course Julien would go around kissing everybody at his parties when he gets drunk enough. Poor Julien doesnt remember half of what he does at parties though.

*"Oh no, I don't mind." Pancho remarked, then cleared his throat awkwardly, looking away.*

Awkward silence much? Internally Pancho is just screaming *why did you say that?!" because he doesn't know how to handle his feelings right now, especially not with Julien so close.

(For any other ballroom dance enthusiasts, what they're dancing would be a mix between a waltz and a slow dance. Like a casual, less fancy waltz that's quite easy for them to get the hang of, but still quite romantic and personal).

*"You know Julio, I don't think he's gonna notice." Pancho remarked.*

But eventually Pancho plucks up the courage. They're already dancing, he tells himself. And Julien just wants to make the crocodile ambassador mad. Julien kisses people platonically all the time so he won't question it. If he doesnt like it, say you were doing it to piss off the crocodiles. And if he does like it... well...

*"Well, I had an idea." Pancho was avoiding his gaze again."*

He's still nervous of course, but he's made up his mind. It's all or nothing, baby!

*"Lay it on me." Julien said.*

And he does! Literally!

*And holy Sky Gods.*

I was tempted to have this line be 'holy crap' or 'holy sh*t' because that's what I would say idk but holy sky gods just works better for the show's lore, and allows the story to keep a G rating.

*All thoughts of spiting the crocodile ambassador had been fully driven from his mind*

Julien just gets so caught up in the moment, he's all "what crocodile ambassador?" he just wants to keep kissing.

*Julien stroked his paw through Pancho's soft fur and deepened their kiss.*

I imagine Pancho's fur would be very soft, he's always playing around with explosives so he's bound to get his fur burnt off every now and then, and it grows back softer.

This was the first time I wrote the lemurs kissing, so it's not the most explicit thing in the world. I probably couldn't write an explicit kiss scene to save my life though.

*"Hoo-ah." Pancho sighed softly.*

Hoo-ah" is exactly what Pancho would say after having his mind blown by a kiss like that. Just no thoughts, head Julien.

*"Yeah, crocodile ambassador certainly thinks so." Pancho said, a wild grin overcoming his face*

Heh heh, Pancho's happy because he just got to kiss his crush (and he liked it!) But also because he can see the croc ambassador is pissed and he loves the opportunity to mess.

Some of the crocs are intrigued because they've never been able to be open about who they are or experiment because of compulsory heterosexuality in their kingdom. Seeing two guys just being so open about their attraction to each other would definitely help them rethink things. They've never seen gay love expressed like this and it's new and exciting.

*Julien's face broke out into an ecstatic grin.

"Yeah that's right!" He called wildly. "I kissed a guy! At your party! Boom, I like kissing guys! Ha, suck on that loser! Woohoo!"*

Oh the sweet triumph of proving a point. This rant was a joy to write, it just feels very Julien.

*He grabbed Pancho's hand and held it up.*

Grab your boyfriend's hand, hold it aloft like a prize.

*"I'm like ninety percent sure Ted likes kissing guys!"*

Haha, poor Teddy needs to be extracted from the closet, pronto. Julien just has an excellent gaydar.

I imagine princess Amy would have some questions after this, questions which her father would definitley struggle to answer. If she really wants to find out what Pancho and Julien were doing, I imagine she'd visit the party kingdom alone, and the lemurs would be happy to answer her questions. Pancho and Julien may have ushered in a new era for the crocodile kingdom and their relationship with LGBT+.

*There came a cheer from the crowd of lemurs and they all began to head off the dance floor*

Of course the other lemurs go with Julien immediately, he's their king after all and the moment he suggests that someone might not be cool with their sexualities, they're ready to bounce.

*Clover and Sage at the front hand in hand,*

Clover and Sage would definitley be behind Julien 100%. The moment he declares that they're out of there, they just drop everything to leave with him.

*some mountain lemur ladies holding hands too.*

Mountain lemur lesbians? Anyone? I just think it's neat.

*"You read my mind, Julio."

Julien pulled Pancho towards him and tried to ignore how it felt like there was a little party going on in his stomach when Pancho called him that.*

Julien really likes that name! I see it as an affectionate nickname Pancho gave him that eventually just evolves into a pet name that makes Julien a little warm and fuzzy inside every time he hears it.

*Julien's heart leapt with joy to see Willie clutching his boyfriend's hands as they danced.*

Daaaww, Julien might pick on Willie but at the end of the day he likes to see him happy. He's glad they don't have to stay at a party where their dancing is scrutinised.

*Pancho rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly as they stood face to face. "I'm sorry about kissing you, I just-"*

Now that there's some distance between them, Pancho has had time to think and wonder "oh sheesh, what if I messed it up, what if he only felt like it was platonic" and he's now all embarrassed, poor leem. He's just a guy in love.

*He nodded, then cleared his throat in an attempt to get a grip on his emotions. "You know, um, while we were dancing*

And now we see Julien trying to hold it together, these two are just so precious and I can totally see them stumbling over their feelings like that.

*kissed Pancho on the forehead, giggling slightly at the other lemur's squeak of surprise.*

Pancho is the perfect height for affectionate forehead kisses, let's not forget it!

*Pancho and Julien headed onto the dancefloor together and moved their bodies to the beat.*

They would have spent the night together just dancing and vibing (and making out probably).

*Nobody there who gave them the stink-eye or who told them that they were wrong. They danced and had fun and kissed without a care in the world. Julien felt so happy that his kingdom was a place where he could kiss Pancho all he liked.*

Ah I really went to town on the "love is love" concept here, didn't I? Well, a theme is a theme.

Julien's just really happy at the place he's created. He's glad they can dance and kiss and all that jazz, and he did that, he created a kingdom free of prejudice. It's exactly how I can see the kingdom's relationship with LGBT+ going down, a place where they're all just happy to vibe and be themselves.

One thing that sucks for me in college is my highschool was extremely lacking.

My english teachers didn't teach proper essay structure, only formatting and some grammar

My math level went up to only Algebra 2, but we skipped half of it bc the teacher didnt know algebra 2

Drama hasnt contributed anything for me other than memorization, just because drama isnt my major

I only took biology, and i barely passed bc i struggle in science

I wasnt allowed any AP classes even though i qualified for English and History

I wasnt allowed to take a foreign language via home study (basically online at your own pace) bc the teacher didnt feel like having more that 12 home study students (even though she could have up to 15)

I only ever felt prepared from History and piano

Idk, my highschool, although fun and easy, did not prepare me for college and ive had to reteach myself how to do the basics lol

Sorry for taking so long!! I wrote this a while ago but i didnt post them bc i suck 

Lets see what i have

Brazil tries real hard to be all Big Bro to them, trying to make the do something fun (or that he thinks is fun lol) and also trying to impress them so that they’ll think he’s cool.

They already think he’s cool and if anything him trying doesn’t really help

But that can lead to some fun times. If Cape Verde likes biology, he’ll be like “hey you wanna go to the Amazon?? The pantanal? Have you seen a pink dolphin? I have plenty!!!”. If Tomé likes engineering, he’s like “would you like to see the first plane ever? The REAL first one? Ok not the first one it was destroyed but ONE OF THE FIRST ONES?? Yes it flies. You wanna fly? LETS FLY” and basically try to think of the coolest things he can show them to be Coolest Big Bro.

In general, the teens like when he’s around and go along with his ideas more often than not. If Mozambique or Angola agree to they’re more likely to. That’s bc they look up to brazil as a Cool Bro but not as a responsible figure at all, so if Mozão or Angola are around its safer.

Not to make this angsty But – I’ve talked before about how brazil just yearns to be liked by everyone all the time and how that might make him act in ways that even push people back (like being overly cheerful and extroverted), and that’s certainly true with the kids, who are all way chiller than him.

With the teens there is also something else. Brazil grew-up pretty much alone. The only kids he saw in his childhood were in the very very rare occasions Portugal would visit England and America, or Spain and the kids, or when he brought Macau. And each of those visits had DECADES separating them. Brazil only made actual friends once he was well into adulthood (like…. He still had no friends during most of the empire lol.). There’s an unconscious longing for childhood he feels around the kids that make him want to be liked even more. He wants to be Big Bro but also… bby boy just wants friends……

Brazil also has an easier time with them when they’re all together. When he’s alone with each he is way more awkward and quiet and uncomfortable (which the teens don’t really think it’s a bad thing haahah).  It gets way better if someone other family member is around too.

Of all the teens, I think he’d be closer to Tomé. She teaches his dog tricks (and tries to teach him to teach his dog tricks) and is usually more up to whatever dumbass idea he has. And also they talk shit abt port

Also one idea I love is them just hanging out one day and one of them asks how brazil was like when he was their age (so like 11~14) and he just goes silent for five minutes having united kingdom/independence war/cisplatine war/early empire flashbacks, and then he’s hesitant to say anything bc even he  knows that it would make him a Bad Role Model (not bc he actually recognizes the Bads of the empire but he does have like… two drops of common sense in his body that sometimes kick in) so he just finds a really silly way to change subject.
