Decided to start my rewatch with The Gift because I had fairly recently watched the other season 1 episodes and just wanted to jump straight in. It did make me laugh though, I was talking about Teyla earlier and I completely forgot that is a Teyla centric episode.

TO BE SO LONELY, part two
Tumblr media
summary: after the pouges forget her special day, y/n meets someone the pouges aren’t too pleased with. (heres part one if you haven’t read it yet)
notes: here is the long awaited pt two, im sorry this took to long. i’m in the middle of finals and im trying to get back into writing (p.s theirs another important note after the fic)
warnings: language?
Tumblr media
after the big fight at the chateau rafe drove them to the beach, more specifically the one they first interacted at.
y/n quickly slipped off the helmet and walked towards the water without a word said.
as she got closer and closer she placed the helmet and shopping bag down and continued walking.
“y/n!” rafe yelled trying to catch up.
“y/n!” he yelled again a bit more sternly making her stop in her tracks.
he quickly caught up seeing as he was walking very fast to keep up with her “please talk to me” he softly spoke as he stopped in front of her.
“there’s nothing for me to say” she spoke back clearly lying as many tears rolled down her face.
“you’re allowed to be upset y/n” rafe says placing his hands on her face, wiping her tears away.
“how come everyone forgets me” y/n’s voice cracks as she speaks.
Tumblr media
after y/n broke down at the beach rafe thought it would be best for her to stay at the cameron household for the night.
waking up to the sun peaking through out the expensive silky curtains the rougtledge girl rubbed her eyes.
her eyebrows furrowed at the unfamiliar smell of the sheets she was laying on, turning her body around she saw a sleeping rafe.
she sat up, carefully doing her best to to wake rafe and succeeding.
y/n’s eyes gazed around the room that was clearly rafes. it pleasantly surprised her how organized his room was, the way all his expensive colognes were organized, no laundry on the floor and the pictures of his family and him displayed along the walls.
“good morning” y/n turned to rafe who was now rubbing his eyes as she was minutes before.
“good morning” she smiled as he pulled her closer kissing the top on her head.
“how you feeling baby” rafe asks.
“better now thanks to you” y/n grins looking up at him “what time is it?”
rafe grabs his phone from the nightstand by his side “its 12” he says.
“i have a shift at 1” y/n sighs leaning against rafe.
“can you cancel it?” rafe trys to reason.
y/n chuckles “thats not exactly how a job works, wheres my phone?” she asks.
“under your pillow” y/n reaches for it, hopingit doesn’t explode with messages when it powers on “i also put it on silent so we could sleep through the night” rafe chuckles.
“thank you” y/n smile up at him before checking “jesus christ” she quickly says as she was right about the phone blowing up and
scrolls through all the missed notifications.
“you okay?” rafe asks observing her face.
closing her eyes, y/n takes a deep breath then setting her phone down onto the bed and started to get out of the plush cameron bed.
“woah, woah, woah, where you going sweet thing?” rafe quickly followed now standing in front of her with his hands on each side of her face caressing her soft cheekbones with his thumbs.
“rafe” y/n smiles and tilts her head up looking at the tall boy.
“you know, not all of us can be kooks” sending him a sad smile.
Tumblr media
shortly after rafes constant attempts to get y/n not to go to work he accepted his loss in the battle and dropped her off.
she was 2 hours into her shift and nothing had gone wrong yet, but of course she knew something was bound to happen seeing as her brother and his friends new where she worked so it was all just a matter of time.
as soon as her break hits she’s pushing the back door of the the store open for some fresh air only to be met with the pouges.
“what do you guys want” y/n spoke sitting on her usual break bench and gave into her fate.
“i don’t understand why’d you do this to us” john b speaks up first.
y/n eyebrows furrow “i didn’t ‘do’ anything to do” she emphasizes the ‘do’ “not everything is about you bee” using her brother nickname only reserved for her.
“i never said tha-“ john b interjects.
“but thats what you meant, you know i’m actually happy?” y/n humourless laughs then begins to raises her voice “i don’t remember the last time i’ve even been this happy and the second you find out its not in a way you ‘approve’ of you want to try and take it from me”
“we-“ jj tries to interject something else but y/n doesn’t even give him the chance as she grows angrier every time they say something.
“you know he hasn’t bothered you guys in months but you’re all too self absorbed in your fucking shit to even see that and where the fuck was all this when john started dating sarah” y/n’s voice quivers but also grows louder as she stands up “huh?”
“i always supported you and sarah” y/n addresses the young couple making eye contact with the cameron who continued to remain silent “nice to know kindness is a one way street with you guys”
“y/n we never meant to try take away your happiness” kie spits out as y/n starts towards the door.
she turns around to face the pouges “then what were you trying to do?” they all look down at the ground or just stay silent.
“that’s what i thought”

Little Black Dress
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
➪the one where you and the pogues are invited to a fancy party at the cameron’s, and jj can’t seem to keep his hands (and lips) off you.

“No,” was the first word that came out of JJ’s mouth as soon as you stepped out of your bedroom wearing the newest article of clothing that was added to your wardrobe. It was a simple but cute black dress you thought would look nice on you at the dinner party the Cameron’s were throwing at their house. “Absolutely not.”
Apparently JJ thought differently. “What?” You frowned, looking down at the dress self-consciously. “I thought it looked nice. Cute, you know?”
“Cute?” JJ asked in disbelief, uncrossing his arms as he stood up straight from his slouched position against the wall. “No, you don’t look cute, Y/n. You look fucking hot. Go change.”
A startled laugh escapes you as you look back up at him. “Wait, you think I look hot, yet you want me to go change?”
JJ nodded, and it looked like he was struggling to keep his eyes locked on yours instead of letting them trail up and down your body. “Yes,” he answered as it was the easiest question he’d ever been asked. “It’s bad enough that this is the best I could find, I don’t need you showing me up even more than you already do.”
He gestures to his simple white button up and dress pants he wore when he was a waiter for about three hours before he got fired. You laughed as you looked him up and down. “I think you look hot, too,” you shrug. “I don’t want you to go change though.”
“Baby,” he nearly whined as he reached for your hips. “Please go change into something that won’t give me a boner all throughout fucking dinner. John B will never let me live it down.”
You laugh again and brace your hands on his shoulders as you stand in between his legs. “You can make it through one dinner Jay,”
JJ groaned and leaned in to rest his forehead on your shoulder, his hands trailing further down your body. “One dinner might as well be one hundred,” he hummed, his hands skimming past your lower back.
“JJ,” you warn and he lifts his head to give you an innocent look. “Don’t start, alright? You’ll just make things harder.”
It was a poor choice of words, and you knew that the second you saw the smirk form on his lips. “I know one thing that’s already hard,”
You scoff and push him away with a laugh. “That’s your own fault,” you shrug again and begin walking away from him.
“My fault?” He muttered as he followed after you. “You come out wearing the hottest dress I’ve ever seen and it’s my fault for reacting to it?”
“Yes,” you answer, stepping outside into the cool summer air. It was deathly hot earlier, but thankfully it had cooled down pretty significantly now that it was nearing the evening. “You just had to go ahead and touch me when you knew we need to leave soon.”
“I won’t apologize for that,” he shrugged just as John B pulled up in The Twinkie.
“You’ll just have to deal with it,” you mumble as Pope opens the back door for you.
JJ muttered something under his breath, then he was getting into the van as well and sitting extremely close to you. “Everything okay back there?” Kie asked when she turned around from her place in the passenger seat and saw just how squished you were between Pope and JJ.
“Yeah, Kie,” your boyfriend replied,  reaching around you to push on Pope’s shoulder. He took the hint and moved to sit across from you instead, and you glared at JJ.
“That was rude,” you whisper, gently nudging his side with your elbow. “He was keeping me company.”
JJ leaned in close so his lips were brushing against the shell of your ear. “I’m all the company you need,” he murmured and you froze for a second and had to hold back a surprised moan. “And you look fucking hot in this dress. I can’t wait to take it off you at the party.”
You actually did whimper as you turned to gaze up at him with wide eyes, and he just smirked at you as Kie let out a laugh of disbelief. “Guys, are we seriously going to the fucking Cameron’s for a dinner party?”
John B looked over at her as he turned left down the street that leads to the fancier part of town. “Hey, Sarah really wants us to come. I promised her we would be there,” he defended his girlfriend. “And you can’t lie and tell me that you haven’t been actually getting along with her.”
“Sarah’s fine,” Kie mumbled. “The rest aren’t.”
“Give them a chance, Kie,” Pope said from his place behind her. “We gave Y/n a chance, and now she’s one of us. Richer than all of us combined, but still one of us.”
JJ lifted his head from where it was against your neck and glared at his friend. “Shut up, Pope,” he grunted, pulling you tighter against his side. “Y/n was never like that. She never gave us a reason to not like her.”
You smile at him and press a chaste kiss to his cheek, one that had him fighting off a grin as he turned to his left and reached around the driver’s seat to grab John B’s shoulder.
“Unlike this one, who is dating the girl who cost him his job with her dad,” he added and John B flipped him off through the rearview mirror.
“Sarah’s not like that, either,”
“Whatever you say,” JJ laughed, leaning back and looking down at you with poorly hidden lust in his eyes.
You had to keep your eyes off him for the rest of the ride, otherwise you were sure you would end up doing something indecent to him in front of your friends.
When you arrived at Sarah’s house, she ran out and greeted you all before kissing John B and tugging him inside. Pope scoffed as he watched the two disappear inside the massive house, “Oh, don’t worry, we’ll just find our own way around your giant fucking mansion,”
Kie laughed and shoved him a bit as the two of them walked through the double doors, leaving you and JJ outside. He turned to you with a pleading look, his hand reaching for yours. “We can still go back,” he tempted you by wiggling his brows. “I can think of many things that are a lot more fun than sitting down with a bunch of Kooks for three hours.”
You roll your eyes and take his hand, lacing your fingers with his. “Come on, party boy,” you laughed as you pulled him with you. “You can make it through a few hours.”
JJ groaned but followed after you. “Alright, but I’m telling you right now, I won’t be able to take my hands off you when we’re at the table,”
You blushed and tried pulling your hand out of his, but he just pulled you closer then wrapped his arm around your waist. Pope, who was standing in the entryway of the dining room must’ve heard JJ’s dirty promise, as he snorted before saying, “Might not be able to live up to that, JJ,”
JJ furrowed his brows then looked over Pope’s shoulder. “No way,”
John B was sitting across the table from Sarah, Rafe, who looked hilariously miserable, was sitting across from Wheezie, and Ward was sitting across from Rose.  “Oh,” you trailed off, watching as John B and Sarah practically eye fucked each other. “Guys sit across from the girls..?” You asked, earning a tight nod from Rose before she downed whatever was in her glass. She clearly didn’t want to be here either, and it was her own house.
“Y/n,” Ward greeted with a charming smile that faded when he looked to your left and at your boyfriend. “JJ…welcome. Come on in, have a seat.”
JJ turned to you with a look of warning in his eyes. “Let’s go,” he mumbled. “I’m serious.”
You bit back a laugh and quickly escaped his hold in order to sit next to Kie. Pope sighed before sitting across from her, leaving JJ to sit in between him and Rafe.
“Fuck,” he muttered, knowing damn well that he would only ever do something like this for you and you only. With a barely hidden eye roll, he sits next to Rafe and Pope, refusing to acknowledge the Kook next to him as he looks at you from across the table. “This is fucked.” He mouthed to you just as Ward stood up.
You held back a laugh as you broke eye contact in order to pay attention to the man you were sure Sarah begged to let her organize this whole thing. “I just want to thank you all for coming. I know things have been tense lately, but I think this is a great opportunity for us all to get to know each other. It’s always nice to know who my little girl is hanging around with these days,” he nodded at Sarah who just smiled at him. “With that being said, enjoy the food, everyone.”
With the ice being broken, you watched as almost everyone began picking at the food on their plates. Everyone except JJ, who just braced his elbows on the table and stared at you. You nodded towards his plate, but he shook his head. “This is torture,” he mouthed and you softly glared at him.
“Eat,” you mouthed back, your eyes flickering between his and his plate. “What is your issue?”
“I can’t touch you,” he mouthed a little too audibly, earning a glare from Rafe that JJ promptly ignored.
You gave him a pointed look, and when he still made no move to pick up his fork, you gently kicked his leg under the table. He jumped slightly, his eyes widening as if he couldn’t believe you actually just did that, then he huffed defeatedly and grabbed his fork.
You smile then pucker your lips at him, laughing at the way he rolled his eyes but let a small grin form on his face.
Soon enough everyone was having their own little conversations, and it was going surprisingly okay, but despite your best efforts, you were getting bored. You could tell that JJ was, too, as he grabbed his glass and spun the liquid around instead of actually drinking it.
When Ward announced that he was going to go get dessert, an idea formed in your head and you smirked. You lean back in your chair and kick your heels off from under the table, then you extend your leg out until your foot grazes JJ’s knee. Your smirk grew when he jumped again, nearly spilling his drink as he registered that it was you who was touching him.
He met your eyes with a look of warning, but you ignored it. Just as Ward came back with two trays of cake and pie, you slid your foot higher until it was trailing along JJ’s thigh, and his knees hit the underside of the table as he reached under and grabbed hold of your ankle. “Y/n,” he muttered, ignoring the many sets of eyes on him at the loud noise. “Come with me.”
Your smirk faded as he gently pushed your leg away from him then stood up, and you had to hold back a moan at the dangerous look in his eyes. “Why?” You managed to ask as Ward set the trays down onto the table.
“Now,” was the answer you were given, then JJ looked over at Ward. “You don’t mind if we’re excused for a few minutes, do you?”
He really wasn’t asking, and Ward knew that as he nodded and sat back down. “Not at all, take your time,” he was honestly probably happy to have you and JJ leave, even if just for a little while.
JJ turned back to you then made a beeline for the doorway, and you were left to quickly stand up and follow after him on shaky legs. “Sorry, we…we forgot..something,” you make up the worst excuse of your life before fleeing the room in search of your riled up boyfriend.
You hadn’t even made it halfway down the hallway before a hand wrapped around your wrist and you were pulled towards JJ’s chest. “You got some nerve, you know that?” He asked and before you could say a word, he pressed his lips to yours and effectively shut you up. You whined against his mouth when he deepened the kiss, then he pulled away and left you craving more. JJ hummed as he lifted his hand and tugged at your bottom lip. “What do you say, baby? Why don’t we explore this house a bit?”
Nodding and in a daze, he takes your hand in his and pulls you along with him as he heads towards the staircase. He let out a low whistle as you and he ascended the stairs, and you were breathless, too, but for a different reason.
“Look at this fucking place,” he grunted, glancing at you as you and he reached the second floor. “Look at all these empty rooms.”
You swallow hard as he grabs your hips and pushes you against a wall. “JJ,” you whisper and he smirks before leaning down and kissing you. Your arms wrap around his neck as you moan into the kiss, just as needy as he is even though you were better at hiding it. “Are we really doing this?”
JJ pulled away and took your hand again. “Oh yeah, we’re doing this,” he answered and you gave him a wide eyed look that he scoffed at. “Don’t give me that look, you’re the one who decided to tease me under the table.”
Your eyes widened as he opened a random door and pulled you in with him. “My heels, Jay,” you gasp. “They’re still down there. Oh, my God, that makes it so obvious as to what we’re doing.”
JJ raised a brow. “Baby, I think it was obvious from the second we left that table,” he laughed then turned to observe the room he chose. “Jesus, even the bathrooms are massive.”
You huff out a quiet laugh and start to walk around him to observe the room yourself, but you don’t get very far before JJ wraps his arms around you and pulls you back to him. You stumble a bit but then are lifted up and set on the marble countertop next to the sink. “You’re impatient,” you tease, running your hands along his shoulders.
“Can you blame me?” He asked, leaning in and kissing your neck. “You look so hot, baby.”
You whimper at his words, tugging on his shirt. “JJ,”
“I know,” he groaned, lifting you up effortlessly and sliding your panties down your legs. “Baby, I love you, but if you ever make me go to another dinner party with a bunch of fucking Kook’s, I might never speak to you again.”
His threat was empty and it had you laughing before you cut yourself off with a moan as he sunk to his knees and wrapped his lips around your clit. His hands pushed your sinful dress up until it pooled around your waist, and you reached out to grab hold of his hair. “Oh, fuck,” you bite your lip and looked cautiously at the closed door.
You’d been secretly turned on since the second you saw JJ dressed in his take on a formal outfit, and that much was clear as his tongue poked out to run along your already soaked slit. JJ hummed at the feeling of your wetness coating his taste buds, “I knew you needed this just as much as I did,”
Your face heats up as you place your other hand flat on the counter behind you. “You dressed yourself, you know how good you look, Jay,”
He laughed, pulling away as he tugged your body closer to the edge of the counter. JJ pressed his cheek against your knee as he stared up at you, sliding one of his hands up your thigh until his fingers were ghosting over your core. “You want me to get you off on my tongue, baby? Or do you want the real thing?”
You bite your lip as his index and middle fingers slip into you. “I want,” you trial off, wanting him to make you come more than once during this little sneak off from the party, but you also didn’t want to ditch them for too long. You whine as you pull him so he is standing up, and you tug him towards you while reaching down to grope him through his pants. “I want this.”
JJ smirked, kissing you deeply as he pushed your dress down and palmed your breasts in his much bigger hands. You moan into the kiss as you unzip his dress pants and push them and his boxers down just enough to free his hard cock. He slipped his tongue into your mouth as you guided his tip up and down your soaked folds, and you shared a groan at the feeling.
“Please,” you begged, tugging at the buttons on his shirt until the top of his chest was exposed. “Please, Jay.” You knew how much he loved when you begged him, and it had the reaction you knew it would, which was a quick thrust of his hips until he was buried deep within you.
JJ groaned loudly, knowing damn well how massive this house was and that there was no way anyone would be able to hear you. “Fuck,” he grunted, grabbing your hip with one hand while his other squeezes at your chest. His thumb and index finger pinch and tug at your nipple until it’s impossibly tight, then he leans down and does the same thing to the other, but this time with his lips and tongue.
You jolt and kick the lower cabinet by accident, but neither of you care about the loud noise you just made as you let the lust take over. “Oh, my God,” you gasp, locking your legs around his waist as he begins to fuck into you. “Fuck.”
JJ sucked in a breath through his teeth as your walls tightly gripped him, inviting him in deeper and deeper with every thrust of his hips. You felt so good, and he knew that, which is why he couldn’t wait until he got you back to your house after the party to do this. He probably would’ve come in his pants if he had to wait that long.
With that being said, there is no way he is lasting long now. Not with the way you clung onto him as he fucked you, and the way your saliva coated chest brushed against his.
You were already a moaning mess as he trailed his hand down and began rubbing circles onto your clit, and the new pressure only made you louder. JJ would proudly admit if you asked him that he loved the way you sounded for him, and loved how you weren’t afraid to get vocal at times like this.
“Jesus, Jay,” you whimpered, biting down on your puffy lip that was swollen from his harsh kisses. You gripped the edge of the counter tightly with one hand, the other tangling in his blond hair as he fucked you hard and fast. Usually he liked to take his time with you and really worship your body for as long as he could, but this had to be quicker than normal for obvious reasons.
“I know,” he grunted, pinching and pulling at your clit as he worked you open. He watched as he became more and more coated in your arousal with each thrust, and his jaw locked when you tilted your head back and pressed your chest against his. You looked so fucked out and hot, he was still in shock that he somehow managed to get you to agree to be his. “I know.”
“Fuck,” you nearly, cried, pressing your heels against his lower back and letting the sides of your thighs rest on the cool marble of the counter. It gave him the best view of your dripping core and it took a lot out of JJ to not come right then and there.
“Fuck, Y/n,” he rasped, fucking into you even harder than before, determined to make you come first. “Tell me you’re close, baby.”
You whimper, lifting your head and kissing him deeply. “I’m close, Jay,”
“Thank fuck,” he huffed, earning a soft laugh from you as you tensed up. “Come for me, baby. Come on me.”
“Oh, fuck,” you moaned loudly, bracing yourself on shaky arms as you coated his cock in your release. “Fuck…fuck.”
The added wetness and the way you were still clenching around him was all JJ needed as he came deep within your throbbing and pulsing walls, a deep grunt leaving the back of his throat. “God, Y/n,” he breathed out as he stilled inside you, watching with squinted eyes as you push yourself up and grin at him. “The things you do to me.”
You laugh as he leans down to kiss the tops of your breasts before pulling your dress back up. “I don’t want to go back downstairs now,” you blushed under his intense gaze, taking it upon yourself to button his shirt back up. “That was too good.”
It was always good with him, and he knew that, which is why he strived to give it to you better each time. “We could always just sneak out a window, steal The Twinkie and go back to your place,” he suggested as he slowly pulled out of you.
You watched with parted lips as he grabbed your panties and shoved them into his pocket, then he zipped his pants up with a smirk. “But that pie Ward brought out looked really good,” you pouted and JJ laughed, walking back over to you and tugging at your lip.
“Fine, we’ll stay for pie,” he stated, lifting you off the counter. He leaned down to press a final kiss to your mouth, smiling at you when he pulled away and took your hand in his. “Then I’m taking you home.”

Tipsy. (Captain Price x Reader.)
!CW! NSFW Smut, unprotected p in v sex, public sex, Price is being rough ;), alcohol, this is really short. Been sitting in my drafts for some time (sorry if I missed any.)
Tumblr media
“I’m thinking we all go out. As a celebration.” Soap smiles.
“Oh please, you’re just looking for a reason to get your hands on some tequila.” John mumbles.
“Whaaaat? I would never.” He pretends to look offended. He shakes his head. “Alright fine. For just an hour though, nothing crazy.” John mumbles. Once they’ve arrived back at base they gather everyone up and they’re walking down the streets to get to the small club. It was nice being here, nobody knew who they were when they were dressed normally. It was peaceful. An hour later, you’re nowhere to be found.
“Is she still out on the dance floor?” Captain Price looks at his watch. “Yeah probably. You’ll have to drag her away Captain.” He rolls his eyes. “Christ in heaven, I didn’t sign up for this.” He grumbles, standing up from his spot at the bar.
They know exactly how you get when you drink, so sending their Captain out to get you is going to be funny. Your Captain hadn’t seen it yet. He was always so uptight, never wanted to go out. They knew you can be pretty persuasive, maybe it’d help him lighten up.
He’s shoving through the crowd to get to you and when he runs into you, you’ve got a grin on your face, grasping his hand and pulling him into you. He laughs awkwardly, you’re very pushy. “Uh.. it’s time to head back now.” He mumbles, you’re dancing in front of him. “Nooo. Come on. We just got here.” You grasp his hand, spinning around.
His eyes widen as you back your hips into him, moving with the beat of the song.
The rest of the task force is witnessing it, Soap is trying not to laugh. “He’s gonna kill us for sending him out there.”
“Oh absolutely, but it’s good for the old man.”
They can see how rigid he’s gone when you back your hips up into him. They can’t help but laugh.
“Y-Y/N. Stop.” He spins you around, you pull him into you. “Oh come on Captain. Live a little.” You smile. He swallows hard at how forward you’re being. You’re drunk. He’s drunk too, had a little more bourbon than he should’ve. He can feel himself getting hard in his jeans, something he hadn’t felt in ages. He growls when you back up into him again. “Y/N..” he grits his teeth, face near your neck.
“So. How many push ups do you think he’s going to make us do?” Gaz asks.
“Good question. I bet we’re up early for extra drills.” Soap laughs. Taking another drink of his Tequila.
You let out a gasp, tilting your head back to rest on his chest, feeling him hardening against your ass. “Captain..” you smile. Grinding back into him. “You’re in a lot of trouble for this.” He breathes, rocking his hips into yours. By now, the crowd around you has you buried between them and nobody is focused on the way you’re rocking into him. He grasps a handful of your hair, tilting your head back. His breath is hot against your ear. “Bathroom. Now.” He growls. You bite your lip, watching him disappear into the crowd of people. You can feel yourself sobering up, nervous as you make your way for the bathroom.
“She’s gonna keep him out there a while, I say we check out this pool table.” Soap nods. They all agree, standing up and making their way over to it.
You push open the door seeing your Captain standing in front of the sink. Luckily it was a small one person bathroom. He makes his way over to you, locking the door and pushing you up against it. “You’re a bad fucking girl, making a fool of me like that.” He growls. You look up at him, eyes wide and you appear intimidated until a smile creeps onto your lips. “I can make it up to you Captain.” You breath. “Oh you will baby.” He growls. He spins you around, pushing your face into the wall and forcing you to arch your back. Pushing your dress up over your hips. He pulls your panties to the side, rubbing his fingers over your bare pussy.
“Fucking soaked.. such a fucking slut.” He breathes. He unzips his cargo pants, tugging them down far enough to expose his aching cock. His tip is blushing red and leaking precum from being teased for so long. He spits in his hand rubbing it over the entrance of your pussy, feeling you mewl into him. He rubs his cock back and fourth over you until you’re whining.
When you don’t expect it, he’s thrusting into you. A gasp leaves your lips and your hands are resting against the wall, wishing you could hang onto something as he starts his aching hard thrusts into your pussy. Gripping your hair hard and pulling you back to kiss him, resting his hand on your throat as he fucks into you. “Such a bad fucking girl. You like teasing me? Hm?”
“Yes- yes Captain!” You moan. “Mhm. I bet you do.”
“W-wanted you so bad.” You cry. Choking on sobs and cries as they leave your throat. “Yeah. I guess you got what you wanted hm.” He smiles. He wraps his hands around your waist, fucking into you and holding you tight. He hisses as you clench down on him, only now realizing just how long it’s been, how good you feel on him. “Fuck- gotta be quick before we get caught.” He breathes.
He pulls you back into him more, moving his fingers down between your legs and rubbing fast circles into your clit, you know you won’t last long. “Oh fuck- I’m gonna cum!” You whine, tilting your head back as he tugs on your hair once more. “Cum on my cock baby, yeah that’s it.” He growls. He’s right on the edge of his own orgasm, ready to let you have every bit of it. You pull away from him, and he growls. “What are you-“ you turn around to face him. “Wanna see you.” You breathe. He laughs, shaking his head. He grasps your thighs, lifting you up and pinning you to the wall behind you, a gasp leaving your lips at him manhandling you. His cock is slick with your orgasm still, making it easy for him to slide back into you. Hearing you moan. He pins your legs up, pressing his forehead to yours and thrusting into you, fast and hard. He’s reaching deeper places than before, growling as you start to claw at him.
You wrap your arms around his neck, holding onto him tight as he cries out. “M’gonna cum.” He gasps. “Gonna fuckin cum baby- fuck.” He grits his teeth, hips stuttering to a stop as he finishes, crying out as he finishes. He holds you tight to him, panting as he comes down from his high.
He pants hard into your shoulder. “Fuck.. I’m sorry.” He breathes. Hearing you laugh. “For what?” You breath, pulling away. “I was rough.” He breathes. “I haven’t.. done anything like this in a long time, I couldn’t control myself.” He breathes. You say nothing, deciding to kiss him instead. When he lets you down off of him, he slides out of you with a groan. “Fuck..” he sighs. “We should get back out there, they’re probably wondering where we are.” He laughs awkwardly. “Probably.” You smile, sliding your dress back down.
The both of you emerge from the bathroom, thankful that nobody is waiting outside.
When the both of you approach the pool table, you’re getting glances. “Finally got her off the dance floor ah?”
“Yeah, she’s uh.. quite the party animal.” He laughs. Hearing you laugh. “Nah I think she just sobered up enough to be done.” He lies. “Right, we’re just about done with this game.” Soap laughs, turning back to the table. They don’t see the way your Captain squeezes your ass as he passes by, a quiet gasp leaving your lips.

Summary : when rafe left, you realized that it wasn’t the pills that cured your insomnia it was rafe
Genre : fluff
Tumblr media
Ever since rafe left you could not sleep. It wasn’t that you weren’t tired, no rather the opposite every part of your body begged for rest but your brain didn’t grant those wishes.
Only now had you realized that Rafe was the reason you slept so good. The way his arms were wrapped around you or the way you were close enough to hear his heart beat was the reason you could sleep.
But now all these things were gone, his scent, his kisses, his hugs maybe never coming back. You hit your head against the pillow hoping that maybe something in your head would move and you would fall asleep. But it didn’t and you were left to stare at the ceiling.
Then your phone started ringing making you flinch since it was so quiet only the sound of the waves hitting shore. “Fucking hell” you groaned sitting up in your queen sized bed.
You picked up your phone and put on your glasses the one you only used when it was night since you didn't like the way you looked with them.
You picked up the call with a smile after seeing the callers id and not long after Rafe’s face popped up on the screen “hi” you breathed out after seeing him smile at you through the screen.
“You have your glasses on!” He exclaimed laughing when you just stared at him he apologized and stared at you through the screen. “God i fucking miss you already.” He admitted he would never do so in front of anybody else but you were different.
“He’s whipped” whispered JJ from his place in the walk in closet the pouges all were stuffed into when they saw rafe entering the room. Sarah nodded she knew her brother he would never in a thousand years admit affection for someone.
“So what are you doing Mr. Cameron why are you still awake? You asked curiously while laying back down on her bed. Rafe shook his head “im awake because i know you can’t sleep and that you most likely wont until i help you to” he explained getting comfortable on his bed.
“Well i would love to tell you, you are wrong but sadly you aren’t.” You replied sighing. ”didn't know y/n needed help sleeping” john b piped up leaning his head against the wall. Even though he was nervous about the whole being in Rafe Cameron’s closet thing he found it quite amusing.
“Did you at least try and take your pill’s?” He asked softly seeing the tired look on her face. “You just want me to fucking tell you that I can’t sleep without you do you Rafe?”
“Maybe” he said smiling slightly you were the only person that could read him. You let out a yawn which made Rafe smile harder he knew that this was the first stage now he only had to tell you random stories about his life before you and you’ll sleep.
”dude this is actually impressive” whispered Pope making JJ frown at him “what the fact that she starts getting tired?” He asked making pope shake his head “well not exactly that but it takes a lot to make a insomniac sleepy by just talking to them” he explained
“Baby, how was your day?” You asked running your hand through your hair. And with that Rafe started talking about how he missed you and how his day looked like without you. At the end you were fast asleep and the pouges were also trying not to fall asleep. It was after all almost 3 am.
“Good night baby i have to take care of something” rafe whispered hanging up and then he stood up walking over to the walk in closet already knowing what was waiting on him on the other side.

Ps, Ps, Ps
"Ps, ps, ps." Whispered John at the felinoid stood next to him in the queue. The bored man wanted to test a theory.
The thing that had nearly driven John to madness, was the, in his opinion, fact that 'felinoids', shared an alarming similarity with the 'felines' of Earth.
Most people, including fellow humans, if you pointed out the similarities would give wishy-washy answers. It was obvious! The ears, the whiskers, the tails, the fact that if you got in reach and scratched one under the chin or behind the ears that they would turn to putty in your hands; how could anyone *not* agree that they were basically, bipedal space cats.
Yet when he pointed this out, any of the aliens would just say 'no, we don't see it', whereas humans might blink, look at the felinoid and squint before wiggling their hand and saying 'kinda'. It was infuriating!
How could anyone *not* see how close they were?
The most annoying answer was 'it's just pattern recognition'. It wasn't pattern recognition; their goddamn names were '*felin*-oid'. It's like a single letter off!
But John was normal. He was completely normal about this connection. He had long since taken a breath, run his hands through his hair and accepted that everyone else was an idiot. He, alone, was sane.
But he'd been in this line for well over two hours now, stuck beside this eight foot tall felinoid alien and his mind had asked the question;
'Would 'ps, ps, ps' work on them?'
The second he'd finished making the quiet noise, just loud enough for the alien beside him to hear, he saw their ears swivel in an instant and lock onto him before her head turned and looked down at him. Eyes wide, fully dilated and *furious*.
Gulping in sudden fear, John turned his head forward and was mercifully given an out as he was called up by the counter, allowing him to basically flee the tall alien. She wasn't visibly muscular, but the silky fur could have hidden any body type with ease and these creatures were well known to be athletic at the very least.
Making his way through customs and getting his bag checked and his biometrics scanned, John fled into the station proper.
He deliberately made several turns away from the custom booths and ducked into an alleyway.
John took a breath and laughed, chuckling in near-shock.
He had expected a reaction, but not that.
"You think you can just hide? After you said that to me?!" Growled a voice as the light of the alley dimmed dramatically as someone blocked the entrance, and only exit.
John glanced up at the felinoid who was now rapidly approaching him. He fully flinched as she reached down and grabbed him by his lapels before heaving him against a wall, his feet dangling uselessly as he was pressed into the wall, aloft.
"You don't get to do that and just walk away." She growled, but as John opened his mouth to apologise, her own raced forward and slammed into his, knocking his skull back against the wall.
He got the sensation of a slippery appendage invading his mouth and wrestling his tongue into submission. Her body pressed against his, pinning him in placed while one hand caressed the side of his face and the other began to roam downwards.
John's mind, before checking out, mentally noted that 'ps, ps, ps' worked on felinoids as well.

Tumblr media
Your fingers carded through long blond hair. You were pressed firmly against the wall of your bedroom as strong hands gripped your hips. Your breath knocked out of you by JJ’s heated kisses while your head was spinning. You had dreamed of this moment for so long, never letting yourself hope that your childhood best friend would return your feelings. Just as your hips moved of their own volition and made contact with his, JJ ripped away from you as if he had been burned. Panic settles in your stomach as you look at him with wide eyes. Breathing heavily, JJ shakes his head. “I’m sorry. (Y/N/N) I shouldn’t have done that.” Your heart plummets as you try to reassure him that you want this. “It’s fine, JJ. I’m more than okay with this.” He looks at you with sadness in his eyes. “It’s not that. I can’t do this with you. I’m not ready for a relationship, I’m sorry.”
As you blink away the dream of the events that transpired a few days ago, you pull yourself out of bed and get dressed in a pair of cut-off jean shorts and a cropped band tee. Trying to push the thoughts of JJ out of your head you grab your skateboard and head off towards the chateau to meet up with your friends.
You grew up with JJ and John B; they were your best friends, and the chateau was like a second home to you. You were a very tactile person, enjoying physical affection and comfort from your friends, so it wasn’t unusual for you to curl up in bed with John B and Sarah, snuggle with Pope or Kie, or take naps with JJ. It’s just how you have always been, but since the kiss, you have pulled away from any physical affection with JJ, feeling like you were making him uncomfortable. As you showed up to the chateau, John B and Sarah were down by the water. As they saw you approaching, they started towards you. You made your way up the steps, and as you headed into the house, you heard John B yell at you to wait and Sarah yell Y/N, but it was too late. You had already walked through the door, and you could hear JJ and a girl giggling in his room. Dread filled you at the idea of having to see whatever turon he had decided to hook up with, but as you turned to leave, the bedroom door opened, and Kie walked out wearing one of JJ’s shirts and nothing else, with JJ behind her, leaving kisses on her neck, causing her to giggle. They were so wrapped up in each other that neither of them noticed your presence.
Nausea bubbled in your throat as you turned and slammed back out the front door just as John B and Sarah made it to the porch. You shoved past them, mumbling that you had to go.  But before you could get far, John B grabbed your hand, pulling you back into a hug. “I’m sorry,” he mumbled into your hair. You shrugged. “Who he hooks up with is none of my business.” John B looked at you with sad eyes as he told you, “It’s not a hookup. They’re dating.” You could swear you physically felt your heart crack as you nodded your head and pulled away from John B. With a sad smile at Sarah, you turned away and yelled that you would see them later as you took off down the road on your board.
You wandered around for most of the day, trying to wrap your head around what had happened. John B and Sarah knew about the kiss with JJ because you confided in them when they asked why you seemed to be avoiding him. John B also knew that you had been in love with JJ for as long as he could remember, but JJ seemed oblivious up until he kissed you. Yes, you had the occasional hook up here and there but you never had a boyfriend or anything remotely close to a relationship. You knew it was pointless considering your feelings toward your best friend so you chose to stay single. As you made your way to your favorite spot on the beach, hidden back in the cliffs, you were so wrapped up in your own thoughts that you didn’t notice that someone was already there, sitting by a crackling fire.
You heard a pop from the fire, and it startled you into looking up and making eye contact with the last person you expected to see sitting by the fire. Rafe Cameron sat staring back at you with a smirk plastered on his face. You stammered, “Shit Rafe! You scared the crap out of me. I’m sorry; I didn’t realize anybody was here. I’ll just go.” As you turned to leave, Rafe called out to you. “Wait! You can stay. I’m just hanging out here. You don’t have to leave.”
Rafe had had plenty of run-ins with your friend group over the years, and it was no secret that he and the boys clashed at every turn, but he had never been mean to you in any way. In fact, the only thing he ever did was call you Sunshine for some reason unbeknownst to you. You always figured he just did it to irritate you.
Tentatively, you made your way over to the fire and sat down, wrapping your arms around your legs and staring into the flames. Rafe observed you for a few minutes before he broke the silence. “What’s wrong? You seem upset.” You whipped your head up, locking eyes with his crystal blue gaze. “Why do you think something is wrong?” He chuckled, shaking his head like you were exasperating. “When you came in here, you were so distracted by your own thoughts that you didn’t even notice I was here. You look like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders, and you are hiding out in the cliffs.” After staring at him for a few moments and struggling to piece your thoughts together, you scoffed. “I could say the same thing about you. You’re down here hiding in the cliffs all by yourself too.” Rafe smiled, and it made your breath catch for a moment. “You’re right. I’m down here because I don’t want to be around anyone. Your turn.” You gaped at him for a moment before you turned back to the fire. You could tell he wasn’t being completely honest but it really wasn’t any of your business. “It’s nothing, just stupid boy drama.” Rafe gazed at you thoughtfully before he responded. “So what did JJ do now?” Your head snapped towards him so fast that you could swear you heard a crack. “Who said anything about JJ?” Rafe arched his one eyebrow and scoffed at you. “Come on, Sunshine, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know you have a thing for that idiot.” You stared at him as you struggled to form a sentence. Finally sighing in defeat. “He kissed me the other day but said we couldn’t be together because he wasn’t ready for a relationship, and then today I found out he is now dating Kie. So apparently he is ready for a relationship; he just doesn’t want me.” After sitting in silence for a few minutes, Rafe scoffed, “I knew he was a fucking idiot.” The response startled a laugh out of you, which caused Rafe to chuckle. You swatted at him, “Watch it; that’s still my friend you’re talking about.” Rafe dodged your hand as he laughed. "No, but for real, that’s fucked up, and he is a moron.”
The two of you fell into a comfortable silence for a while. Eventually, easy conversation started to flow, and before you knew it, the sun had set and there was a chill in the night air. Rafe noticed you shiver slightly and quickly pulled his black hoodie off and handed it to you. “Oh no, I’m ok.” You tried to deny it, but Rafe just looked at you, smiling. “You are literally shivering; just take the god damn hoodie.” You relented sliding the hoodie on. You didn’t realize how cold you actually were until the warmth leftover from his body enveloped you and his woodsy scent filled your lungs. You thanked him, and your easy conversation continued. Eventually, you were lying down on your back by the fire. Rafe was seated looking down at you while you guys asked each other random questions like, What’s your favorite color? Rafe’s is blue, and yours is (Y/F/C). What’s your favorite animal? Rafes is a tiger, and yours is (Y/F/A). Rafe had just gotten done justifying why he thought Top Gun Maverick was a great movie, and he couldn’t believe you hadn’t seen it when he turned to look at you and noticed you were on your side sleeping. He tried gently shaking you awake, but you didn’t show any signs of waking up. He decided he would let you rest for a little while, then wake you up so you could head home, but the sound of the ocean and your light breathing lulled him to sleep.

Expresso(John Soap MacTavish x Reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: Johnny will be the first to admit that after years in the military he has a few screws loose. Or it might’ve been because of the bullet wound he took to the head. Sure he knows what he’s doing isn’t healthy. Call it obsession and delusion if you will. But, now he’ll do anything just to spend another second in your company. You belongs to him, you just don’t know it yet.
Warnings: John Soap MacTavish x reader, 18 +, Dark mature themes, unhealthy relationships, gore, violence, eventual smut(may have Non-Con), Dub-Con, kidnapping, stalking, creepy behaviors, death, F.Reader, Café AU but dark and twisted
Part 1
It wasn’t until recently Johnny has discovered just how challenging readjusting to civilian life would be. Of course such a drastic change would be difficult for anyone. Especially since he wasn’t supposed to be discharged so early. It was unexpected. The man is antsy. He hates sitting still, as he’s been forced to do since he took a bullet to the head. Between neurology appointments and physical therapy he’s been bound to his apartment for months. There’s an itch in his skin, the need to have some kind of busy routine to get through the endless bland and boring days of spring. His mum even came to visit him, helped take care of him after he acutely lost his ability to walk properly and speak in clear sentences. Even his memory was affected for a while.
Eventually his doctor gave him the okay to try finding employment. He’s gotten most of his functions back up to par, but sometimes he gets nasty migraines that make him want to vomit. As soon as he returned home from that same appointment, he grabbed his lap top and plopped down on his couch to begin job hunting.
It sounds perfect. Something to fill that empty void in his life even though he gets enough money due to military benefits and disability to let him live without a job. Being a Sergeant paid comfortably too. So, money is not truly a problem. After an hour of lazily searching with a glass of whiskey in his hand through different positions of different opportunities, he doesn’t find any that sounds appealing.
Johnny groans and sets aside his lap top, stretching his arms above his head before standing up. He scratches his stomach while walking lazily to the fridge. After tugging open the door, he narrows his eyes and huffs in annoyance at the emptiness inside of it. Time to go shopping.
After pulling on jeans and a basic black Tee, he takes the elevator down to the lobby of his apartment complex and exits the building. Swinging his set of keys around his index finger, he strolls down the sidewalk. He slows after spotting a quaint little café up ahead. He always passes it on his way to the shop. Except this time the now hiring sign catches his eye. Now that he’s retired from the military permanently, the man’s got a hell of a lot of time on his hands. So, he opens the door and enters, looking around curiously.
He strolls into the homey little building and is instantly hit with the smell of chocolate mixed with coffee. It’s cozy and warm, with windows that look out into the city and green plants in pots seated by them. The lights glow a warm yellow and the walls are painted a medium dark brown. It’s not busy, as expected due to the time of day being late morning. The early rush has clearly dissipated.
What really captures his attention is the lass behind the counter, busying herself with cleaning the counters in the coffee making area. When she hears him come in due to the bell at the top of the door, she turns around and meets his gaze with a smile that has his skin slightly flushing. She’s a pretty thing dressed in a black apron. He keeps his eyes on her face. Hell, he deserves a medal for not looking…lower.
“Can I help you, sir?” She asks in a sweet voice, using one of those higher pitched customer service tones. He gives her a lopsided grin and nods his head. Oh she could help him in a lot of ways, he thinks as he finally gives in and lets his eyes briefly flicker over her figure. The way the apron is tied around her accentuates her waist, tits, and hips. Such a bonnie thing she is.
Call it rash or dumb, Johnnys never been good at planning ahead- or thinking with his brain rather than his dick. Especially when cute little lassies like her are involved. She seals his decision in an instant when she looks at him with her pretty eyes. He points his thumb in the direction of the help wanted sign on the window.
“Aye, I’m interested in applyin for a job”
——————
Today was a usual day. Nothing special, nothing grand, morning rush was awful as always, and then you have class later after work. You hum to yourself as you clean up any spilt coffee beans or creamer by the machines. Finally, you get some peace now that the busiest time of day has passed.
Sadie, the old lady who owns this café and lives in an upstairs apartment above the restaurant, has trusted you to run pretty much everything by yourself. Well, you and Aiden whose a coworker of yours that became your friend that’s off today. You’ve been working for Sadie since…well your beginning year of college. Now you’re a senior, about to finish the spring semester.
Since her daughters and sons moved away, Sadie’s been alone. When you waltzed into her café, nearly begging for a job she took you in a heartbeat. She’s like a grandmother to both you and Aiden. However, you can never be here all the time and neither can Aiden, so you told her that it would be best to get another employee on board to handle things. Thus, this has resulted in a little help wanted sign being placed in the window of the café.
What was supposed to be a normal shift takes a turn when a nearly six foot hulking man built with bulky muscle and adorning an overgrown Mohawk saunters into the café. You’re not blind, he’s clearly attractive in a boyish yet gruff way. Some scars on his chin are visible. He’s got tan skin and beautiful blue eyes. He seems older than you. While you’re twenty two, he looks to be somewhere between late twenties, possibly thirty.
“Can I help you, sir?” You ask as he approaches the counter and you set down the cleaning supplies you were using. He gives you a playful smirk, one that gets your heart fluttering a bit. You stand in front of the register and get prepared to take his order.
“Aye, I’m interested in applyin for a job, '' He replies, scottish accent strong in his voice. You yourself have an American accent since you grew up in the states before deciding to move here to the United Kingdom. His words shock you for a moment, your lips pat in surprise.
“Oh! Got it, let me go grab the application paper for you to fill out” You give him a grin, relieved that someone actually decided to show interest for the barista position. Anyone would literally do. You’ve been waiting for the day someone came to apply and finally you’d get some extra help around the cafe. “I’ll have you fill this out and then I’ll just have a small interview to conduct after I give it a read” You tell him while snatching an application form off of the wall that’s clipped to a clipboard. After getting a pen from your breast pocket, you hand it to him.
Your fingers brush his for a moment when you pass him the pen and application. Something slightly uneasy though stirs in your stomach when his hand lingers against yours a little too long. You gently pull away.
“Yev got it lass” He responds and tucks the clipboard underneath his arm, holding the pen in that same hand. With his free arm, he extends it to you. The pure muscle rippling from underneath his tight shirt that stretches across his broad chest is crazy. “The names Johnny by the way, pretty lil place yeh got here” He greets. You place your hand in his and he shakes it gently, making you feel the rough calluses and collection of scars on his skin. His gaze flickers from your face down to where your hands connect.
“Oh it’s all thanks to Sadie, she owns this place not me” You explain while letting go of his hand. Your elbows rest on the counter as you stare up at Johnny, leaning over the counter slightly.
“Where is she at?” He asks while glancing around the empty café, running a hand through his Mohawk as he does so.
“Sadie’s at a doctor's appointment, I fear she is getting older” You sigh softly and glance at the ceiling where you know her apartment is above. You’ve been up there countless times to help Sadie with little things such as errands and carrying groceries.
“Ah, makes sense. Will I need to win her approval to get hired? Does she take bribes?” He jokes with a goofy smile that makes you giggle softly and shake your head. Your shoulders relax a bit.
“The only one you need to impress is me….and yes I do take bribes” You smirk slightly before turning around to finish cleaning up some things, your back facing him as he chuckles at your comment. “Have you ever worked as a barista before?” You ask while placing a new garbage bag over one of the cans hidden under the counter. A man like him coming to work at a tiny little café? He is the least likely person you’d expect to be interested in a job at a cozy hole in the wall like this.
“Oi has the interview process already started? I haven’t even filled out the application” He has a playful whine in his tone. You place your hands on your hips as you turn to face him.
“I lied, It truly started the moment you walked in and asked to apply” You tease.
“Well…ah suppose I’ve never been a barista in meh life, nor have ah worked in a café” He says as he glances down at the application, twirling the pen in his opposite hand as he holds the clipboard in the other. He glances up at you, eyes finding yours as he grins with his perfect white teeth. “But, I’m a very quick and…efficient learner lassie” He says that last part lowly, tone dropping an octave before he turns around on his heel and sits himself down in one of the chairs near the window to get started on his application.
—————
He watches her like a hawk, vaguely aware that he’s being a bit creepy by staring at her unblinking as she reads his application. Yet she’s so distracted she doesn’t even notice. He likes her already. Fuck. He swears his pupils dilate when she runs her tongue over her bottom lip while she focuses on her task. Makes him wonder how good she’d be with her mouth wrapped around his cock. God. He needs to get laid. Sure on base he wasn’t prone to Messing around with barracks bunnies or nurses from the med ward. And yes there are dating apps and shite specifically designed for hookups, but he hates going on those sites. He hasn’t been clubbing in a long while too. Needless to say his interaction with women has been…zero within the last six months.
Johnny is snapped from his thoughts after she gently sets the clipboard down with another bright smile. The interview was short and sweet, the basic questions were asked and he answered them. Johnny knows people. He knows how to work them. How to appeal to them. It all came with learning how to efficiently go undercover for certain missions.
“Okay, your charms have wooed me. You’re hired Johnny” She says and crosses her arms over her chest. He wonders why she said yes, especially since he has no experience whatsoever being a barista. But, he has an inkling that it had something to do with when she read over a particular question that asked what he did before he wanted to work at the café. Johnny was truthful, putting that he was medically discharged from special forces.
He noticed the slight frown on her lips and the way those pretty eyes were glazed over with sympathy for him while she read it. Pretty and nice, a lovely combination. Johnnys always gone for her type. Clearly studious from the textbooks lying behind the counter, medical related ones. A university student for sure. She’s a hard worker and he admires that.
“Thanks bonnie, seriously, thank yeh” Johnny decided to play up the part. He wants more sympathy points from her. He likes seeing her worried about him, makes his heart flutter at the thought of having a pretty lil thing like her concerned about his well being. “Life’s been pretty…hard since I’ve been discharged, wanted this job to make some money and have somewhere to actually be…homes lonely” He shrugs, a ‘sad’ smile on his lips.
“It does sound rough…I’m sorry'' She says and gets up from the chair, placing a hand on his strong shoulder. From how close she is he can smell her perfume and it makes him want to bury his face in her neck to get a better whiff. “I hope things get better, if you need anything tell me” She offers with a kind grin. He wonders if she tastes as sweet as she acts. “You can start with me for tomorrow's morning shift for training, sound good?” She asks him.
“Sounds absolutely perfect bonnie” He replies and leans back in the chair, eyes focused on the way her ass moves while she walks away to the back of the counter to start closing. In one afternoon he’s somehow managed to find a nice little job…and some entertainment too.
——————
You’re surprised when Johnny stays with you until close, yapping away as you put things away and clear off tables to clean them up. The café closes at 4 PM every evening. You’ve tried your best to get rid of him. He literally refuses to go and you’ve run out of excuses to get Johnny to leave. He follows you around like a puppy. Hell, even when you’re outside locking up for the night he stays standing right beside you. With only spending four hours with Johnny, you’ve learned a lot about the man.
While overwhelming…it iis sort of nice. Besides, you remember what he said earlier about adjusting to civilian life again. You feel bad…he must be lonely. He served his country, the least you could do is provide some company for him.
“So you don’t have any family here in the city?” You ask, bag slung over your shoulder as you yank the key from the keyhole in the door. Johnny shakes his head no.
“Nah lass, they all live on the countryside-on the farm” He sighs while shoving his hands in the pockets of his jeans.
“No girlfriend? Boyfriend? Friends?” You try to pry further. If he has no one to go home to, that just makes you even more sad. Well, while you own your shitty little apartment not far from your university, at least you’ve got friends to fall back on for company.
“Nope” Johnny says with a shrug. “All my friends are deployed lassie, I’m all alone-. As for a girlfriend…I’m taking applications if yer interested bonnie” His lips curl into a smirk. Your heart does a little flip at the boyish grin he shoots your way.
“Haha very funny, now go home you’ve been here for hours!” You tell him and cross your arms over your chest. Admittedly, your social battery is a bit low at the moment, especially considering you’re going to have to study until bed tonight. That thought alone makes you irritable and exhausted already.
“And not walk yeh home? The city is a dangerous place!” Johnny exclaims, dramatically looking at the alley ways in the immediate area. Despite being socially tired, Johnny's playful demeanor does make you crack another smile.
“I’m perfectly capable of defending myself” You assure while showing him the pepper spray connected on a metal ring that holds your keys for work and home. Johnny blinks at the sight of the tiny defense weapon before scoffing, raising a single brow at you.
“Hate to break it to you sweetheart, but Someone could easily snatch yeh off the street- that wee thing of pepper spray won’t do much, common I’m walkin yah” He finalizes and shoots down any argument you’ve begun preparing in your head. A frown forms on your lips and with a sigh, you begin walking in the direction of your apartment. As you brush past him, you’re acutely aware of the hand he hovers over your lower back.
The situation is weird. Johnnys nice and he hasn’t given you any reason to be wary of him…but maybe he’s being too nice. It begins to process in your head as the two of you walk down the street that you’ve only just met four hours ago and now he’s walking you to your apartment. He stayed with you an extra FOUR hours until close, just sitting there watching you and making conversation. Is that not a little strange or are you overthinking things?
Eventually you arrive at your apartment. Those little red flags are shoved to the back of your mind. He’s just being nice probably.
“Well…thanks, see you tomorrow morning Johnny” You smile and readjust your bag over your shoulder. Johnny looks elated at the moment. You wonder why, but don’t question it.
“Night lass” He gives you a wave as you start to enter the apartment complex you live in. Little do you know as you make your way up the stairs, he’s watching the windows to try to see what floor of the building you live on.

╰┈➤ getting caught with rafe
warnings: smut, a lot of swearing.
summary: y/n maybank gets caught with rafe cameron, by her brother.
“nobody’s home rafe, it’ll be fun!” y/n gleamed, dragging her reluctant boyfriend by the arm. branches and leaves crunched underneath their feet as the trampled through the cut. rafe cameron did not want to be walking through this side of the island, but after a minor spat about rafe having never been to his girlfriends house, he agreed.
“im not sure if you’re forgetting princess, but there’s a reason we’ve never gone to your house” rafe whispered, earning a cheeky smile from her. “shh, he’s not home, he’s out with pope..” y/n uttered, praying her boyfriend won’t bolt.
it wasn’t that rafe was scared, absolutely not. rafe cameron would never run from a pogue like jj maybank. he was nervous about y/n getting in trouble. y/n and rafe had been sneaking around with eachother for a little while, having shared a blunt at a party once, leading to a very long conversation about outer space.
still being dragged along, rafe observed the girl in front of him carefully, seeing how her hand fit just right in his, watching the skip in her step as she pulled him with her.
he was in awe, he adored her to no end, to the point it unnerved him. rafe cameron couldn’t have seen this coming from a mile away, the thought of falling so hard for someone scared him to death, nevermind falling for a pogue.
over the last few weeks they had a routine going, y/n would sneak out when she knew jj was asleep and walk fifteen minutes up the road where rafe’s car would wait for her. from there they’d drive back to his place, or when they were feeling it, drive to the beach and sit there all night.
because of her, rafe’s downright hatred for pogues had softened quite a bit. taking the time to understand why she lives the way she does, why she has to work two jobs, sometimes three just to make enough money for her and jj. y/n maybank had really opened his eyes, and he secretly loved it. he was amazed by her.
“see? nobody’s home” she stated, subconsciously taking the win as she peered through the open porch. no lights, no cars. she knew jj was somewhere with pope, and would most likely crash at john b’s place. “what about your dad?” rafe asked carefully, aware of the sensitive topic. shrugging, “he’s been gone for a while, don’t know where, doubt he’ll be back anytime soon” y/n sighed, her heart hurting slightly at the thought of luke abandoning her, thought she would never admit that.
pushing the door open, she ushered rafe through and turned the hallway light on. looking around, he took notice of the various holes along the walls, a few broken pictures lay on the ground underneath them. a strange pain in his chest caught him off guard, he couldn’t explain the feeling, but he knew why.
rafe picked up the pace and hastily followed after her before she could notice he was looking. “you hungry? we probably don’t have much but i’m sure i could make you a sandwich or something, if jj hasn’t eaten everything…” y/n fidgeted with her bracelets as she rambled anxiously, now regretting her decision to bring him here. the differences between their houses was ongoing and y/n was overly aware of it in the moment.
taking hold of her cheek, rafe shushed her with a soft kiss. “i’m not hungry angel, it’s okay” he muttered, stroking her head with his fingers. nodding, she grabbed his hand again, leading him through to her room.
heading through, rafe chuckled as y/n jumped onto her bed the moment they set foot in her room. y/n’s room wasn’t big, big enough for a double bed and some bookshelves. the walls were littered with framed pictures. rafe’s lips curled slightly, threatening a small smile as he looked over the baby picture of her and her brother, pictures of her and the pogues.
wracking his brain, rafe couldn’t think of anything that would make him change his mind about her brother and his friends, but her large smiles in the photographs were enough to make him see that they were a big part of her life.
creeping behind him, y/n wrapped her arms around his torso, leaning her head on his shoulder blade as he continued looking at the contents of her room. coming round to look with him, she pointed a finger at one of the photos. “this was in the marsh i think, we were fishing through the summer and jj pushed me off the boat, a scary moment for sure because god knows what’s down there, but it was fun” she spoke quietly, a toothy smile appearing.
rafe’s eyes trailed from the photograph back to her, sucking in a breath as he stared. “you are so fucking beautiful angel..” he muttered, almost breathless.
y/n turned to face him, beaming as he looked down at her. suddenly, she latched onto him, causing them to topple and land on the bed.
giggling, she leaned down as she straddles him, planting kisses all over his chiselled face. his ring clad fingers reached up to hold her cheeks, pulling her in for a deep kiss. not breaking the kiss, his hands wandering as ground her hips onto him.
y/n moaned into rafe’s mouth, feeling his cock harden beneath her. pulling away slowly, rafe flipped them both, pinning y/n down. a torrent of whimpers left her mouth as he trailed kisses down her neck, undoing her shorts as he did.
she gripped the sheets, lifting slightly for rafe to pull down the denim bottoms. pleasurable thoughts invaded her mind, wanting nothing more than release. looking up at her, he pressed light kisses to her inner thighs, the hot air from his breath making her jolt.
the cool metal rings on his fingers added nothing but pleasure as his thumb circles her clit at a painfully slow pace. “f-fuck, rafe..please” y/n whined, intertwining her fingers with his hair, pulling slightly.
groaning as she tugged, he pushed his fingers through her folds, earning yet another breathy moan. his pace quickened as his tongue took over from his thumb, sucking softly on her clit.
the burning coil in her stomach twisted tighter and she clenched around his fingers, an early sign that she was close.
“you gonna cum for me angel? can you do that for me?” he whispered, the vibrations from his mouth sent shockwaves through her. nodding, she threw her head back, not able to suppress the noises bubbling in her throat.
a loud gasp erupted from her lips as she heard a bang outside, pushing rafe’s head away. “oh my god” she muttered in fear. rafe’s head perked up, unsure of what was going on.
“quick, get under the blanket, jj’s back” she whispered, hearing her brothers taunting footsteps in the hallway. y/n covered rafe with the sheet the best she could, lying back, nervously thinking of a plan.
“yo y/n! you in?” jj called from outside her door. “fuck” she mumbled, “y-yeah, in my room!” she answered, half praying he’d take it and leave it. before god could consider granting her wish, her bedroom door swung open, jj’s boots clunking on the floor as he stepped inside.
his eyes narrowed at the sight before him, y/n laying in bed, the blanket bundled up around her lower half. “you okay? you sick?” her brother questioned, suspicion laced in his tone. “uh, y-yeah, yeah i’m not feeling great”
“okay, you cold or something? that’s a lot of blankets y/n” jj joked, taking a step forward to prod the sheets. “no don’t touch them! i finally got comfy!” she screamed, her heart beating almost out of her chest.
“hey man, im just making sure you got enough” his brows furrowed, making the final step towards the bed, laying a hand on the mound of blankets. for a second, time seemed to slow. her eyes widened as her brothers did. he knew, and she knew that he knew.
jumping backwards with such force, knocking the photograph of her in the marsh onto the floor. “that’s a fucking person y/n, that’s not a fucking sheet!” he shouted, not knowing what to think. before she could get a word in, jj had started on a verbal rampage.
“who the fuck is under there y/n? i swear to god i’ll blow his fucking brains out!” his arms flapped around as he spoke, his anger showing through his movements.
“for fucks sake jj! get out!” she screamed at him, gesturing violently for him to leave. shaking his head, he tapped the wall beside him as if to ground himself.
“no! get out of the bed y/n! get up!” an argument ensued as rafe stayed as still as possible. he’d have jumped up by now to argue with her brother also, but he didn’t want to make things worse for her.
after a bit of back and forth, jj, fed up, went to rip the sheets away from his sister. “no! jj don’t! i’m naked!” she shrieked, pausing all movement from her brother.
the look in his eyes scared her, he looked crazy, possibly even murderous if she really squinted. “i’m not leaving this house until i find out who’s in your fucking room y/n!” jj bellowed, slamming the door behind him. “you’ll have to come out at some point! might as well get it over with!”
chest heaving, she pulled the blanket off rafe, who just smirked up at her. “i told you this was a bad idea angel” he laughed quietly, enjoying the feeling of being right, once again. “it’s not funny rafe! he’s going to kill me!” she cried, worried about her brothers reaction when his eyes meet rafe’s. shaking his head, he pecked her thigh once more. “not as long as i’m here”
after helping her get dressed, rafe pressed a kiss to her forehead as she moved slowly to the door. the door vibrated as jj knocked on it. “i’m waiting y/n”
this was it. this was the moment her brother would finally snap.
opening the door slowly, y/n couldn’t meet her brothers gaze as his eyes travelled from his sister to the man in her room. for a moment he said nothing, almost hyperventilating as his blood boiled.
“rafe? you’re sleeping with rafe cameron?!” he shouted, causing his sister to jump at the sudden noise.
as if to anger him further, rafe stood tall behind y/n, hands on her waist as he stared her brother down, egging him on to make a move.
the bad blood between the two was incomprehensible, unfixable, unchanging. she could think of so many words to describe the mutual hatred between them.
jj shook in his place, seething. if his sister wasn’t standing right in front of him, he would’ve went for rafe by now.
“jj! stop! he’s not what you think!” y/n pleaded, desperate for him to understand. the taken aback look on his face said it all. “not what i think? not what i fucking think?! he’s dangerous y/n! you need to stay away from him!”
rafe stayed quiet, knowing how upset she would be if he made any advances. his fingers dig into her side as he listened to the insults spewing from her brothers mouth, struggling to keep his cool.
“no he’s not jj! he’s so sweet and kind to me! you wouldn’t get it!” she retorted, growing tired of brothers anger.
worried about what he might do, given the chance, jj stopped shouting. “you know what, I can’t even fucking look at you right now y/n”
before she could plead with him, he’d stormed out of the house, taking his forever packed bag with him, a sign he wasn’t returning that night.
“shh baby, i’ve got you, it’s okay” rafe cooed, pulling her into him, her tears staining his top.

Send Me An Angel
Continuation of my College years series. Can be read on its own, but is sweeter when read with the rest. The first time you see Melissa in a couple years is when her nana dies.
It’s one in the morning on a Thursday when your phone starts ringing off the hook. Waking up to the high pitched beeping you wipe your eyes not bothering to look at the caller ID.
“Yeah?”
Hearing sniffles and a staggered breath on the line you immediately perk up knowing exactly who it is on the other end.
“Mel?”
“It’s me,” she croaks out. “I need you to be here I need you to get to me as soon as you can.” She lets out in a sob.
“Mel, honey what happened?” You ask tucking the cell phone between your cheek and shoulder as you get up and move to pack a bag.
“It- it’s nana,” she breathes. “She died.”
Feeling your heart drop into your stomach you freeze where you stand. Maria Schemmenti had been sick for a little while, refusing most treatments despite you and Melissa begging her to, even offering her a blank check to cover the costs. The old school Sicilian woman declined, saying she was as healthy as a horse.
“I’ll be there as soon as I can, Red. Hang tight, okay?” You say tossing clothes into your carry on.
“Be careful,” she sniffles. “I’ll see you.”
As soon as Melissa hangs up you’re calling a pilot friend of yours offing him a crazy amount of money to get you across the country as soon as possible. Forty five minutes later with a bag slung over your shoulder you walk with your friend onto the tarmac. The flight from San Francisco to Philly would be long and excruciating not only because of the reason you’re going, but because you haven’t seen Melissa in person in two years.
The first time she came to visit you in California was ten years ago and it had been a yearly occurrence up until recently. You were nervous to see your person again after so long, but she needed you and you needed to pay your respects.
The sun is just coming up when the private plane touches down at the Philadelphia airport. “Thank you, John. I owe you big time.” You give him a hug and a big check.
“Go take care of your woman and you can buy me a drink when you get back,” the man pats your shoulder. “I’ll be at the hotel if you need me.”
Hustling through the airport like you’re about to miss a flight, you get to the pick up location hailing a cab panting as you speed dial Melissa on your cell phone.
After two rings, a groggy voice answers.
“Hey, Red. Im in the city on my way.”
“You’re here already? Hon, how?”
“I know a guy.” You smirk quoting your best friends famous excuse as you ride through the streets of Philly. “Are you at home or your mom’s?”
“I’m at home. I’ll get started on breakfast.”
“Don’t even. just get dressed and we’ll go to that diner I’ve heard so much about.” You smile against the phone hoping the little outing would help her.
“Okay, hon.” She lets out a weak chuckle.
“I’ll see you soon, Red.”
In the cab you tuck the phone into your carry on and reach for your make up compact hoping you looked presentable after the long night and the nerves you felt eating away at you. When the cab pulls onto Melissa’s street you sit up taking a breath. Paying the driver you hop out jogging up to the door lightly knocking.
Not even ten seconds later the door opens and you’re being hugged by Melissa. As always, it’s as if the time apart doesn’t matter. Her face is hidden on the crook of your neck and her arms are around your shoulders.
“Walk backwards, honey.” You instruct walking carefully inside, hand rubbing her back. Sliding your bag off your shoulder it lands on the floor with a thud, discarded for the time being. Wrapping your arms around the redheads frame you let out a sigh just standing there with her, her walls always broken down with you.
“Thank you.” Is all Melissa says keeping her arms around you in a warm hug not willing to let go yet. You had always been a safe place for her, that much you knew, and you loved it.
“Have you eaten at all?” You ask with your lips against her hair.
“Not since yesterday morning.”
Reluctantly pulling back you keep her at arms length running your hands up and down her arms. “Cmon, let’s get something to eat and when we get back I’ll help you with whatever you need.”
Melissa looks up at you with a wobbly lip wiping her eyes as she moves to get her shoes. “God I look awful.” She pouts looking in the hallway mirror.
“No you don’t, Red.” You meet jade eyes in the mirror. “And if nana heard you say you haven’t eaten she’d chase you with a wooden spoon.” You tease getting a weak laugh out of your best friend.
As she always did, she hands you the keys to her car silently asking you to drive and you happily accept. Getting in the vehicle you drive her through the familiar streets smiling when you see all the old spots you haven’t visited in many years.
“Turn left up here, hon.” She points resting her hand on yours as it dangles off of the center console. Flicking your signal on you relish in the feeling of warm skin on yours happy to provide her even just a little bit of comfort. Having known Maria Schemmenti yourself since you were a freshman in college this death hit you hard. She was a confidante for you when visiting the family with Melissa, and you were going to miss her.
In the cozy mom and pop diner you sit across from Melissa adding sugar packets to your coffee when the server comes over.
“Melissa, I was so sorry to hear about your nana. My condolences.” The young woman says gently.
“Thank you, hon. It’s been a rough 24 hours.” She gives the girl a weak smile. “This is my friend I was telling you about.” Melissa smiles at you reaching for your hand across the table.
“Oh Melissa talks about you all the time! Let me hook you guys up with some comfort food.”
As the server takes the order you can’t help but glance down into your coffee cup biting back a smile. Of course Melissa talked about you. Despite how you left and how you reconnected, it was no surprise she told other people about you.
Through a nice breakfast, you sip your coffee picking at your own plate while making sure Melissa actually eats a full meal. It’s mostly a comfortable silence unless your server comes over, and at the end of the meal Melissa meets your eyes.
“I can’t believe how fast you got here.”
“You needed me.” You shrug sipping your coffee. “And I loved your nana too you know.”
“She loved you a lot.” The redhead cracks a smile thinking about her wedding and how her nana held her as she cried for you after the ceremony.
You smile tightly playing with a sugar packet on the table feeling guilty. “I wish I came sooner. Got to visit one more time.”
“Oh, hon. None of us knew it would happen so fast.” She reassures you reaching across the table again for your hand.
Fingers laced together you give her a soft smile as your arm rests on the table. “I can stay here as long as you need me to.” You offer after a moment of thought. “After the funeral and everything, you could- you could come back to San Francisco with me. Even for just a couple days.” You shrug.
Melissa looks at you surprised, biting her lip in thought about the idea. She hadn’t seen you in so long and phone calls weren’t scratching her itch anymore. She was already hurting and needed you. “I’ll go with you, hon.”
“Yeah?” You smile in surprise.
Letting out a content sigh Melissa smiles at you. “It’s been too long and my phone bill is outrageous.” She teases you.
“I can’t argue with you, Red.” You chuckle leaning back in your chair, an odd relief hitting you at her answer.
After arguing over who gets the bill, you happily pay and tip the young girl generously before resting your hand on the small of Melissa’s back as you two leave.
“All that coffee and I could still sleep.” Melissa yawns.
“You didn’t sleep did you.” You say more as a fact than a question knowing how she is when she’s upset. When she was going through her divorce she would call you every night staying up until the late hours of the morning on the east coast.
“‘Course not. I was goin through family photos after I got the call.” She hums climbing in the car.
Driving back to her house you glance over at her seeing her start to look sleepy. “Koala time?” You ask referring back to the dumb joke between you two from college. Quickly into your friendship you learned that Melissa loved to cuddle. So much so that even when drunk she would wrap herself around you.
“Yeah.” She smiles getting the key out to unlock the door. Inside your bag still sits on the floor next to the door. Kicking your shoes off you lift your arms in a stretch ready for a nap yourself. Looking at the clock it was hardly nine o’clock, and it was obvious the redhead needed sleep.
“Cmon, Red.” You hum wrapping your arm around her shoulders as you both go upstairs. When you enter Melissa’s room, the environment is completely her. More family photos are on the walls, a massive bookshelf loaded with books, and a signed eagles jersey hangs above the bed.
“That’s amazing.” You chuckle looking at the jersey as you stand there, a little nervous to climb into bed with her. You’d thought about being in bed with her ever since you left, and now you were here and she was right in front of you.
“Do ya need a formal invite, hon?” She teases snapping you out of your trance.
Getting under the blankets you shift with Melissa, wrapping your arm around her as she hides her face in your neck letting out a content sigh. She needed this comfortable bubble as much as you did.
After years of being apart, the feeling of your legs tangling with the redheads and her steady breathing lulls you to sleep faster than you even remembered.
Waking up to knocking and a voice that isn’t Melissa’s you bolt up keeping your arm over the redhead ready to jump out of bed, Melissa jolting awake beside you.
“Ain’t this cute? Bout time you came back, world traveler.” Kristen-Marie leans against the door.
“Jesus Christ, how’d you even get in here?” Melissa huffs, you lay back down letting out a breath trying to calm down.
“I have a key, genius. You weren’t answerin the phone, I came to see if you were okay. And I found letters from nana.” The blond woman shrugs in the door way. “If I knew lover girl was here I woulda stayed outside.”
Rolling your eyes you turn over burying your face into the pillow.
“What letters you talking about?” The redhead looks at her sister. No one had gone through any of nanas stuff yet.
“They were in her purse.” Kristen-Marie clears her throat handing two over.
“This one’s envelop had a stamp on it and everything.” She gestures to you handing it over to Melissa. Confused, you sit up looking and the white envelopes, one completely addressed to you.
“Why would I have one?” You ask quietly, almost afraid to open it.
“Alright, hold on, let’s go downstairs and read these, yeah?” Melissa looks between you and her sister.
Holding the envelope your arm feels like it weight about a hundred pounds as you file down the stairs with Melissa and her sister. Melissa is already tearing up as she sits on the couch, envelope unopened. Curiosity getting the better of you, you carefully peel the paper open. A piece of stationary with Maria Schemmenti’s beautiful cursive handwriting sits on the page. As you begin to read wonderful compliments and praises from the now gone woman, tears begin to flow down your cheeks when you get to the very end.
And you my dear, need to make this old lady happy and take care of my Melissa. I know you two love each other more than friends, more than sisters. I held her during her wedding reception in tears because she knew she made a mistake. I remember those glances you two tried to hide during family dinners. Please, tell her how you feel.
I’ll be watching.
Love, Nana.
Sniffling you re read the words over and over again letting them soak in. She knew. Of course Maria Schemmenti knew.
“Hon? Hon?”
Your head snaps up to meet watery green eyes, Melissa holding her sisters hand on the couch.
“What did yours say?” She asks through her own sniffles.
“It uh, she just reminded me of some things.” You shrug with a smile.
Maria Schemmenti, the matriarch of that entire family, was right and you intend to do as she says.

Never Just Two
Ghoap / Reader
(Wheelchair User Reader)
Chap1, Chap2, Chap3
"A Sargeants Bad Luck"
Word Count: 2k
CW: Johnny can't leave well enough alone, misunderstandings to the max
You were starting to come out of your shell now. Gaining some real confidence. Defiance. Threading your personality into the tightly woven design of this team. You still avoided the couple, however it wasn't out of fear. You gave them the respect of coworkers, but because of their actions you made no effort to befriend them. Simon could handle and understand. But it was wearing on Johnny.
"How do we even apologize?"
He groans, laid back lazily in Simons bed. Who rolled his eyes at the dramatic scott.
"By apologizing."
The masked man grumbles in return. He knew a simple 'I'm sorry' wouldn't fix everything, but it would be a start. The real rough part was to do it, cause that meant they would have to directly explain their pathetic behavior of strategizing against a disabled coworker.
"She already hates us I swear it-"
Johnny sighs, sitting up with a frown. Watching you with Gaz and Price was driving him up the wall. He liked being close knit with his team, knowing them and fighting beside them. Maybe you weren't out on the field with a gun, but now you were officially one of them. And you didn't want a damn thing to do with him. You had every reason to, of course, he knows that. He wants to fix it. You have such a strange affect on Johnny, you make him so damn nervous.
Tumblr media
He tried first with coffee. Leaving a cup ready for you in the common room, where you'd usually sit by your laptop doing your morning routine and chatting with Price. He can fix this, little things at a time. He was never exactly great at leaving things be.
But then he sees your face, scrunching with confusion staring at the mug in your spot. Johnny doesn't speak up yet, watching emotions flow through you. You take the mug, carrying it back to the counter. Mortified, he watches you pour it right down the sink. Turning to the coffee pot to pour yourself a new cup. As you prepare it, he realizes what happened. He wants to slam his head through a wall.
Fucking idiot.. He made it no where near how you like.
His next attempt, he was sure it would work this time. At least get him on your better side. Was to adjust some of the cupboards. Johnny noticed how sometimes you struggled to reach all the way up with your sitting position. Taking the time to remove the cheap box cupboards, and screw them in a bit lower on the wall. He was almost finished when Gaz interrupted him.
"Hey mate you wanna help with the recruit situation? Got a couple idiots fightin' in the mess hall."
John groans, nodding and heading out with the fellow sargeant to deal with it. The cupboards were mostly done, he just had a couple screws to tighten back up.
By the time he was walking back to continue, he hears a crash. And your voice cursing out. Gaz and Johnny look to eachother before rushing towards the common room. And where you were, holding the detached handle of the cheap cupboard, the rest of it fallen on the floor. It almost fell on you. Once again Johnny wanted to bash himself. He opens his mouth, but Gaz is already coming over to you.
"You alright?"
He asks, resting a hand on your shoulder. His free hand takes the cupboard door and tosses it on the countertop.
"I'm fine just-"
You glance at Johnny, blinking as you see the screwdriver poking out of his pocket. Your eyes shoot away from him. Lips pressing into a tight frustrated line.
"I'm good."
You mumble, reaching to grab something else from a more stable cupboard.
Tumblr media
"So you're way of apologizin' is making her coffee that could give her diabetes and dropping a cupboard on her head?"
Simon asks, crossing his arms. Watching Johnny bump his forehead repeatedly against the bed post. The brit is leaned back in a chair, mug of tea in his hands as he watches his distressed scottsman.
"Tha fuck is wrong with me?"
Johnny mutters exasperated.
"You're pushing too hard. We'll apologize tomorrow. Leave it be Johnny."
Simon advises, his hand coming over to his partners shoulder. Giving him a stern squeeze. It was for the best. Give you some time to cool off from Johnny's attempts, hopefully you won't take his actions as more threats. They've done enough of that bullshit.
Johnny swallows.. leave it be. That's what he should do. That is the plan. Leave it be and tomorrow they'll get on track to make things better. He was never good at leaving things alone. He just drowns in the paranoia of your hatred. The way you look at him and Simon makes his stomach ache, embarrassed to admit that it matters to him what you think of them. They started off so harshly with you. Now he's left to watch you show the rest of the team utter warmth and acceptance, things they should have shown you.
Tumblr media
Now they're fucked. Utterly fucked. He didn't leave it be. Far from that actually. Johnny slams the door shut behind him in the room. Looking pale with wide eyes. Simon raises a brow at him. Johnny swallows.
"I know ye said ta leave it-"
"What did you do?"
Simon growls, Johnny sucks in a breath. Slowly revealing what he was hiding behind his back. The footrests to your chair. Simons jaw snaps shut, snapping the cigarette in his mouth clean in half.
"What the fuck were you thinkin'!?"
Simon curses, wrenching the footrest from Johnny's hand. Looking down at it with furrowed brows. The blue eyed man starts his explanation.
"I thought I could fix it- she was talkin' all mornin' about it being too high. That it needs lowered cause it hurts her ankles- she was workin' out so I tried adjusting it and the damn thing just fell off-"
Rambling about how his intentions were to assist you. Make things better. But this was far from it.
"Johnny you don't fuck with a mobility aid."
Simon scolds instantly, eyes narrowed. He had a fucking plan. An apology to make. The damn bastard couldn't wait one night!? He runs a hand over his face with a groan.
"You couldn't put it back on?"
Johnny deflates.
".. The screw was stripped. Gotta find a new one that size-"
They're interrupted by harsh banging on the door. Johnny grimaces. Simon gives him a deadpanned glare. Should have let it be. Simon pushes the footrest back into his lovers hand, turning him with a push on the shoulder. Grumbling sarcastically.
"By all means love. Go explain yourself."
Johnny sighs and reaches to pull open the door. Opening his mouth to spew apologies but you don't even give him the chance.
"Where the hell do you get off!?"
You boom, face twisted in a snarl. You are fuming. Sitting in your chair, arms crossed, nails digging into your own skin. Eyes lit up in a furious glare. Your chest heaving up and down. Your feet hanging just above the ground is a sore reminder of Johnny's worst mistake of the day.
"Y'know- I was fine with letting you guys do your thing and not bothering you. But you have no fucking right to make my life hell when I haven't done a god damn thing to either of you!"
Johnny's throat is impossibly tight, strangled by his own actions.
"Lass I'm really-"
"Don't call me that. You call me by my name, or nothing at all."
You snap. He takes a breath and nods. Mumbling your name. Simon stands behind him tense and looking at you.
" 'm really fuckin' sorry. I never meant ta break it."
"Why would I believe that? You've been fucking with me all day!"
You say, brows furrowed. Johnny blinks, shaking his head as he tries to pitifully explain himself. A feared soldier on the battlefield, a menace of explosions and tech, now babbling out excuses to you.
"No- I swear- I was tryin' to find a way to apologize ta ye."
"Apologize? .. Then why wouldn't you just fucking say that?"
You huff.
Simon cocks his head to the side, looking at Johnny with a glare.
"Yeah Johnny, why didn't you just say that?"
He repeats, trying to beat his point into his stubborn partners head. They could have apologized and not been in this mess. Johnny swallows and gives Simon a glare from the corner of his eyes.
"Yer nae helpin'."
Simon rolls his eyes, looking at you again. For once, a little softer. You've been fucked over all day.
The blonde mindlessly adjusted his balaclava a bit, before clearing his throat. Gesturing you inside the room. You give him an untrusting look, before rolling your chair into the room, letting him shut the door behind you. You grumble something under your breath, snatching your footrests back from Soaps hands. Resting it on your lap for now.
Simon grasps Johnny by the nape of the neck, pressing down on him with an authoritative grip to sit down on the edge of the bed. They were going to talk. They were going to start making this right. By doing it the right fucking way so help him god.
"You got every right to be angry. You deserve a proper apology yeah? No excuses. Just the truth."
"Bit of an understatement.."
You mumble, making Johnny wince. Simon nods in understanding. You suck in a tight breath and continue.
".. I already told you I wasn't telling anyone about you guys- so what the fuck do you have against me? .. That I'm new? That I'm not Laswell? ....Is it because of the chai-"
"No!"
Johnny says quickly, Simon almost says it at the same time.
"It's nae like that.. we were right pricks. We know. I really was tryin' ta make it up to ye today. Jus' dinnae know how.. and kept fuckin' it up.."
Soap rubs the back of his neck, blue eyes full of remorse and swimming in guilt. Simon sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose.
"We made a .. Few mistakes. We got off wrong from the start. The apology is long overdue. But we are sorry. We can pay for the repair."
You glance between the two of them with eyes of scrutiny, trying to dig for any hint of insencerity. When you find none you huff in annoyance, it would honestly be easier to hate them.
"Doesn't need a repair. Just a new screw. ... Just thought you did it on purpose."
You mutter. Johnny's shoulders sink.
"I promise ye I dinnae..I wouldn't."
Simon huffs, arm resting on Johnny's shoulder. He looks down at you.
"We're a team.. you're good for this team. We need to start treating you better. As one of us. .. Maybe we can start over right."
"No."
They blink at your rejection. But it's clear you're serious. You raise your brows at them.
"You guys don't just get to start over when you're assholes... Fix your actions instead."
You say, crossing your arms. Simon swallows thickly, you were right. You could go and tell Price of their treatment. Not only get them reprimanded, but you could come clean about all of them and get them in some real trouble.
"No more running around behind my back. Tell me when you want to help out.."
Johnny lifts his head at your words, opening his mouth. But you hold up a hand and give him a light glare.
"And no touching the chair anymore. Shouldn't have to say that at all."
You say, Johnny nods instantly.
"I deserve to be here. I know you're a Lieutenant, and I know you're a Sargeant. But I have a job to do too. Frankly it's to make sure you guys get back alive..... I'm not telling Price what happened."
Both men slack with relief. But you're not done yet.
"But if you pull that shit again. I'll transfer out. I know my worth. I'm not going to stay where I'm not wanted."
"We know-"
Simon starts.
"Then act like it."
You finish. Effectively silencing them. Simon gives a short nod to your order. In a way it was hard to describe the affect you had on them. Your strangely strong and suffocating presence. You weren't to be stepped on. You weren't to be taken lightly. Not anymore.

[for the @calaisreno May Prompts Tour, which affords me the opportunity to be supremely self-indulgent]

Is this still the number for John Watson?
John pauses, thumb hovering. Before he can choose a response, another message flashes in.
It's Harry
He nearly drops the phone. Or maybe he nearly throws it against the wall. Hard to say.
His reflex to caretake wars with his lingering resentment of her absence. But he knows he would regret ignoring an olive branch… or whatever this is.
Hi
Everything okay?
No small talk, got it
Yes I'm fine, good in fact
and no I'm not going to ask you for money
He breathes in deeply.
I'm glad things are going well for you
And he is, at least in the abstract.
Thanks
I know this is the part where I'm supposed to ask how you are
But you know I'm pants at texting
Can we just have coffee or something?
John taps his phone to his lip absently and considers his options. A public reunion seems like it could be a volatile mistake, not to mention it's 7pm on a weekday. Sherlock is at the lab, Rosie is having her after-supper blanket time, and John is catching up on charting.
And to be honest, he's pretty bored.
Come to mine for tea?
Harry's three dots wibble for a while, which John supposes is fair.
Right now?
With my schedule, I have to take opportunities where I can
Okay, yeah, I'm free
He sends her the address, feeling both pleased and annoyed. One would think that hitting his own rock bottom would make him more sympathetic towards his sister. But really, it just piles helpless anger on top of guilt on top of anger, ad nauseum.
He's not even sure she knows he's a father, for Christ's sake.
Turns out, she doesn't. She walks through the door he holds open for her, and stops abruptly when she sees Rosie. 'Oh my God,' she breathes, staring. 'Oh my God. You--' She turns to John, eyes wide. 'She-- Johnny. She's yours?'
He nods, and despite everything, he feels his face curve into a proud smile. 'Her name's Rosie.'
'Can I--' Harry indicates the blanket with a sharp movement. 'Can I say hello to her?'
'Yeah, course.' He follows her, and folds himself down behind Rosie. 'Sweetheart, this is your Aunt Harry.'
Harry makes a bit of a squawking noise, probably at the 'aunt' bit, but tamps it down. 'Hi, Rosie,' she manages, her voice rough but determined. 'It's lovely to meet you. What are you playing with?'
'Avocados,' Rosie mostly manages to say, then holds one up for Harry without hesitation. Harry takes it with a giggle, and before long they're thick as thieves with a pile of emoting avocados between them.
Harry glances up at him when there's a lull. 'So. The dad life is treating you well, yeah?'
He hesitates, then nods. 'It is now.'
She eyes him, but doesn't ask about what came before now. Instead, she says, 'I'm just going to ask, alright -- who's the other parent?'
He raises an eyebrow. 'Why d'you say there is one?'
Her eyes twinkle. 'Because you do not have the fashion sense to have bought her this outfit. Your bird rich, then?'
He coughs. 'Well. No.'
She waits, though he can see she's trying not to be annoyed by his reticence. She's never understood people wanting to keep things private. 'No?'
'My… flatmate. He's able to buy her things I don't give a toss about, yeah.'
She blinks. 'You have a gay flatmate?'
John feels his ears heat up. 'I do, yeah.'
She seems weirdly impressed. 'You've come a long way from being a rugby lad, haven't you?'
He snorts. 'I'm learning how to do plaits, if you'll believe it.'
'She's not got enough hair for that yet.'
'Sherlock--the flatmate--insists it's a useful skill, though I've no idea why.'
She doesn't reply, and he looks up from where he's helping Rosie with her current avocado. 'What?' he asks, though he knows it's useless. Harry is no Sherlock but honestly, she doesn't have to be, because his emotions have always been written all over his face. It's a curse and a blessing.
'Oh holy shit,' she breathes out.
'Language,' he admonishes reflexively.
'Sorry, I mean-- Holy noses, Johnny.'
'Don't be smug.'
'Oh, I take no credit for this, I always knew the overcompensating locker room talk was hiding something.'
He rolls his eyes, but his lips are twitching. 'Yeah, insecurity about willy size.'
'Okay, ew, first of all. Second of all-- What the--' He gives her a warning look. 'Ever-loving heck.'
'Short version?' She nods quickly. He decides to also give her the slightly-less-mad-sounding version. 'Got married, got pregnant, had baby, wife passed away, realised I had feelings for my flatmate. Who is a man. And who is effectively fathering my child.'
She claps her hand over her mouth, and for a moment he fears she's going to cry, but then realises she's laughing.
'Oi, that's just not on,' he protests.
'But it's ridiculous!' She holds out a hand to him placatingly, speaking through continued laughter. 'It's lovely and sad and all that, but you have to admit--'
There are tears escaping the corners of her eyes, and he feels it begin to bubble up in his chest, too. Her laugh has always been a thing of beauty, of loud, annoying, contagious, unforgettable beauty, and he can't help it.
And she's right, really. It is kind of ridiculous.
He lets out his own laugh, finally, and reaches for her hand.

The Patron Saint of One Way Trips
Ch5
Tumblr media
Description - progress is made with soap in this chapter. The sweet boy is feeling guilty for upsetting and scaring her when he found her. He needs to win her back now! Gaz is still lovely sweet Gaz. John is as captainy as ever and Ghost is still suspicious af! Enjoy!
Tumblr media
*Ghost's POV*
The asset was acting strange. I had followed her when I heard the room door open and she was clearly looking for something, she did seem to give up and go to bed immediately so I decide it best to leave it for the night and warn the others in the morning. I sleep lightly, listening out for other suspicious activity. All I hear for the remainder of the night is small shuffling noises and the occasional whimper.
*Laika's (Y/N's) POV*
The low timbre of voices through the walls is what finally brings me out of my half-sleep half panicked state. I stay under the bed and try to listen but can only pick out certain words. There voices sound like a low buzz. 'Hereford' and 'Kate' and 'Wheels up today' are what I pick up before an unexpected knock on the door startles me. I hadn't even heard the footsteps approaching because I was too tuned into trying to figure out what was being said.
"Laika? It's me, Kyle" - "Kyle..?" I whisper back, unsure. "Sorry, Gaz.. it's Gaz" the voice replies, slightly muffled by the door. "Gaz.." I sigh, trying to mask the relief in my voice, "Yeah..?" I ask quietly, wondering what he was wanting. "Laika, I can hardly hear you from the door, can I open it and just stand in the doorway? Promise not to come all the way in" He enquires politely. "Oh, uhm, yeah, let me-" the door opens before I can get from under the bed and act like I'd had a normal nights sleep. Shit!
*Gaz's POV*
The first thing that hits me when I open the door is the smell. That's my bodywash and shampoo. Citrus and tobacco - Price loves the tobacco one, always appreciates it when I cover myself in that scent. I try not to groan. That means she had showered using our products.. mmm.
I quickly notice that she isn't on the bed, but instead, peering at me nervously from the floor beyond the bed. "Shit, love, did you fall?" I move to make my way around the foot of the bed to help her up. She tenses up slightly at my movement which stops me in my tracks immediately. "Hey, its ok.. just want to help you up" I offer, trying to keep my voice as gentle as possible.
She slowly stands unaided and drops her blanket back on the bed, she crouches down and retrieves a pillow from under the bed too. Thats when I realise she hadn't fallen off the bed, but instead holed herself up, underneath the bed. She had been scared. That is typical nesting behaviour of anxious Beta's and Omega's. "Oh, Laika.. you should have come and said you didn't feel safe. C'mon downstairs, I'll make you a cuppa, we have a big day today."
*Laika's POV*
I allow Gaz to coax me from my useless excuse of a nest. I follow him downstairs, to the kitchen. I do step closer to him when I spot the masked one - Ghost - staring me down as I walk past the armchair he was sitting on. His eyes are narrow and sharp. Terrifying.
"Find what you were looking for?" He grunts, in that rough, harsh voice of his. I freeze behind Gaz and whimper. How had he known I was out of my room last night. Oh God, he is going to kill me.. I start to breathe heavily. Gaz is looking at me with suspision now too. I can't handle the scrutiny of their stares. "What were you looking for, Laika?" Gaz asks hesitantly, trying not to sound like he is accusing me of anything, but struggling.
I start to stutter a reply, "I- I uhm - I.." -
"What's going on here?" The pack Alpha comes through the door. I am now completely surrounded. I feel ashamed. "The girl was rooting about down here last night" Ghost states in a cold, flat voice. "Were you?" the Captain asks. I nod, tears pooling again. I can feel my chin wobble to. Gaz tsks in disappointment too. That noise from him almost snaps my resolve.
Captain Price steps forward and clasps my shoulder in his large, strong hand. I whimper and turn my head away, terrified of the punishment they were about to give me. "What were you looking for? Tell the truth.." he asks bluntly. It wasn't a suggestion, it was an order.
I turn to a disapointed, borderline pissed off looking Gaz, my chin wobbling and admit "Y-your jacket". He looks up to me with his brow forrowed. "The harddrive wasn't even in my jacket so that was pointless" Gaz says to me, and his team. "Tha-that's not.." - "my handkerchief.. I- I couldn't sleep.." I keep stuttering and interuptting myself. God, I'm useless!
"You're handkerchief" Ghost grunts, "We are supposed to believe that?!" - "It's my only belonging.. I-I can't lose it" I sniffle. "I promise.. I didn't do anything.. if he followed me, he will know that is the truth" I add. Gaz turns away and leaves the room. My heart sinks, he has left me with two Alpha's - one of which I am terrified of and the other, who is in charge of my fate. "You better start telling the truth" Ghost threatens. "Simon.." the Captain warns.
"We are going back to base today, in Hereford. We are meeting with Laswell and we will all have a long hard chat about.. this" the captain gestures with his hands. They're going to interrogate me. I whimper. I hear steps jogging down the stairs. Gaz rounds the corner, entering the room and stepping in front of me. "She was telling the truth, look!" He pulls a familiar piece of fabric out from his jacket pocket that he had carried downstairs. I sigh in relief, desperately wanting Gaz to stop showing them my handkerchief and give it back to me. He holds it out to me and smiles. I grab it and start weeping, shoving it in my face for reassurance. He steps forward again and pushes my hair back behind my ears.
"Shh, I knew you weren't lying. Don't worry. Laswell will sort you out. Kate's a legend" he reassures. "Thank you, Kyle" I whisper through drying tears. He strokes my face "it's fine, it's no problem". Ghost sighs and sits back down, Price comments that its going to be wheels up in an hour and then Soap comes crashing down the stairs, "Used that tobacco bodywash again, Gaz? You know Pricey boy loves that stuff!" he says excitedly, before sniffing the air near Gaz before his eyes draw immediately to me. I shrink under his hungry gaze.
"Not me.." Gaz says lightheartedly. "Awkt our little Bug wants to smell like her new pack.." he teases. Ghost growls. "We are not her new pack Johnny". Gaz steps closer to me.
"Boys, ENOUGH!" The captain bellows. I flinch. I then realise I have grabbed Gaz's sleeve in my fright. "Stop taking the piss. Get your bags packed and bring them downstairs. I need a cuppa first though. Or something stronger.." he sighs and moves toward the coffee machine, trying not to breathe in the tobacco scent pouring off me in waves. He can't help himself have a little sniff when he gets clear of the living room. There is something distinctly feminine underneath the heavy tobacco scent. He tries not to purr.
Gaz places his warm hand over mine on his sleeve. I stare at it, somehow not immediately flinching away like I usually do. He is warm. And gentle. I has a rosy tint to my cheeks after Soap had joked that I was trying to smell like my new pack. I'd never had a pack before. Never even had chance to find out what designation I was. I was a late-bloomer, my friends used to say.. I was the only one who, at twenty years old, hadn't presented. I never had any symptoms of an approaching heat. My mother and father were Beta's so it was just assumed that I would also be Beta.
"Laika, do you want anything to eat or drink?" Gaz asks, rubbing my hand that still rests on his sleeve. "Oh, uhm - sorry" I release him and step back, embarrassed. He steps forward, smiling at me. "It's okay" he laughs "Price can sound grumpy sometimes, I actually think he is just pissed off with Simon..not you" he explains, trying to reassure me. "Food?" he reminds me. "N-no thanks, I'll probably just wait for everyone else to eat and have what's left.. I don't want to be a hassle" - "nope, thats not fine.. if you're hungry, we have cereal.. or toast.. what do you want?" - "what're you having?" - "probably both" he shrugs - "oh, uhm.. just a slice of toast please, then" - "go and sit down with Johnny, I'll bring it to you when it's ready.
My eyes widen but I feel the need to obey his request after he had been so kind and understanding, he had sort of defended me against his own pack members after all. I glance back to Soap - Johnny - and step hesitantly towards the sofa he is reclined on. He is wearing a tight t-shirt and shorts. His legs are covered in dark hair and his scent is stronger than any I have smelt in a long time. He smells of masculine spice, a hefty hot-headed scent to perfectly compliment his somewhat exuberant personality, or what I had seen of it so far.
"Sit doon, Lass. Stop clinging to Gaz, I'm nicer!" he booms in his rougish accent. I sit down at the end of the sofa, leaving a huge gap, for Gaz (I tell myself that anyway), "Naw, c'mere, closer!" he beckons, slapping the seat of the cushion next to him. I whimper but obediently slide closer to him so I am about a meter away. "Johnny.." the Captain warns from the kitchen, Gaz looks up from his task of toasting bread, concerned, but quickly rolls his eyes at the sight of Johnny's bright, boyish smile as he does a thumbs up gesture to them.
"You're gonna have tae warm up to us eventually, Lass. Bit a' exposure therapy willnae dae you any harm!" he jokes. I just shyly look at him. His face looks much friendlier now that he isn't in 'mission mode'. His eyes soften slightly and he speaks more gently to me this time - "seriously, lass, I won't do anything.. hand on heart". I try to relax and seconds later, Gaz steps in front of me with a huge stack of toast, wobbling precariously on a plate. Jam, chocolate spread, butter - whoa.. my mouth almost starts watering. "This is far too much" I murmur, blushing. "Nah, don't worry. Me and Johnny are sharing - hope you don't mind.."
I smile and take a slice of chocolate covered toast, Soap snatches a jam slice and Gaz chooses a plain butter covered slice. We all tuck in together. The chocolate tastes like heaven. A luxury I hadn't had since I was younger. It's spread on so thickly, that it is almost gluing my mouth shut. I chew, determined, trying not to moan in pleasure. I am barely half way through my first slice when Soap takes another, Gaz following closely behind. They are messy eaters I notice. Soap has jam on his cheek and crumbs all over his lap and chest. Gaz has a greasy chin where butter had melted and dripped. He had the decency to wipe his face with a tea towel, at least. Soap was shameless. I realise in that moment, that my anxiety is beginning to back down, allowing a hesitant happiness to step forward. I was too scared to fully commit to this rare emotion, so instead, I tucked it behind the bars of my facade, scratching at the door.
I finish the final corner of toast and although I wish i could eat more, I feel totally satisfied. I watch as Gaz rolls his eyes at the state Soap is in, wiping his face with the same dirty teatowel that he had used for his own face, and brushing the crumbs from his chest and lap. It's such an easy moment but so loving and intimite at the same time, I feel as though I'm intruding, they are an established pack afterall. I'm just a glorified hostage at this point. I slip back inside my own head. How can I feel abandoned when I've never had anything in the first place? It doesn't really make much sense, but that's how I feel.
*Soap's POV*
Sharing food with her was step one of my plan to make up with the poor girl. Gaz and I had discussed this before we came downstairs this morning. I felt guilty for how I had treated her before she had even had the chance to explain. I can be like that sometimes. My packmates say I'm hot headed. I'm unapologetic about it but it had been weighing on me ever since the wee scared Lass flinched at me when I was attempting to untie her. Should never have tied her up in the first place, said it myself, she was as quiet as a wee mouse. Fuckin' idiot that I am.
Gaz seemed on board with me trying to rescue our rocky introduction. I can't lie, she is a bonnie wee thing. She was filthy dirty when we found her. Hair a mess and literal dirt and dried blood all over her. Her skin was all shades of malnourished and cold. Not to mention the terrified look on her face. And the way she was so submissive and overwhelmed. Poor wee bird was in a right state.
My heart almost stopped when she walked down the stairs, behind a smug looking Garrick. The little bastard, Kyle, knew she was going to affect me. She was dressed in *my* clothes that I'd packed in the spare room. Ghost had thrown me out of the pack's shared room as a cruel punishment for apparently being to rowdy. Bullshit. She had clearly showered and cleaned herself up. Her hair was brushed and plaited back. But fuck, what almost finished me was the fact she had used that fuckin' tobacco scented showergel. Price loves that stuff, Simon too - Gaz and I have started using it when we piss of the other two. Softens them right up, melts them into a puddle. Works every time. And the wee lass walks down, like a lamb to slaughter, covered in *our* scent. Fuck me.
I can't help but try and get her as close to me as possible, I almost can't stop myself from being a shameless mutt and just draping myself over her. I behave impeccibly if I do say so myself. Anyway, we sit and eat the toast that Gaz and I had planned to use as a peace offering. She is sandwhiched between us. Rose between two thorns, I think. I can feel Simon's seething eyes on me, and can smell the rich spicy phermone that rolls off of him in waves when he is pissed off. I couldn't care less. There was something about Laika. Let's just hope she ain't the cunning, evil, super-terrorist that Ghost seems to think she could be. Not this wee thing. No way.
Jam on toast always goes down a treat. I eat a couple of slices and then Gaz starts attacking me with a teatowel. I'd not even made that much of a mess. Laika is looking toward us, but almost as if she isn't all there. Weird. Gaz notices too. We both turn to face her and she suddenly focuses again and is back in the room with us. She starts to mumble out an embarressed apology for zoning out. Before she can finish, I've automatically reached my hand out, cupped her chin and wiped the tiniest bit of chocolate spread from the corner of her mouth. I didn't even realise I had done it until she goes quiet. If looks could kill, I'd be dead, becuase Gaz was side eyeing me with the fiercest side eye I've ever seen. I look back down at Laika. Her wee cheeks are red. Is she blushing? She's blushing. Thats cute as fuck.
Turn around, Johnny, before you do anything else stupid. I listen to the smart voice in my brain and turn to take the plate back to the kitchen sink.
I lick the smear of chocolate from my thumb.
Delicious.

We Got Nerves For Nothing
Tumblr media
Two Years ago
Sitting in one of the booths in the dining I had my five year old daughter Leanne beside me. The door opened having me see Sheriff Haskell enter with an older looking cowboy following him inside. Haskell walks over to me with the stranger gesturing to him with a smile. “Hey Y/n, I’d like to introduce you to my friend John.”
“It’s nice to meet you, sir.” I clasped my hands together leaning back in the booth sending him a smile back.
Haskell nodded looking at Leanne suggesting to leave us alone to talk. “Hey Lea, why don’t you and I go see if they have any good pie up there today huh?”
"May I sit, ma'am?" The older cowboy removed his hat asking me to which I gave him a head nod. He sat across from me tilting his head. "I didn't mean to catch you off guard but I have noticed that you work here quite a lot. And I thought it would be nice if I helped you out."
He pulled out some money from his pocket, sliding it across the table to me. "Oh..uh John I can't take it."
"I insist. Besides, you have that little girl to take care of all by yourself. My parents raised me to help someone in need if I could." He pushed the money towards me some more with a kind smile.
Taking it from his hand, I agreed, thinking of a way to pay him back later. "How about I cook you dinner at our house as a thank you."
"We can do it later at my ranch since my cook is taking the weekend off. So make whatever you want, Ms. L/n." John noticed that the sheriff and my daughter were coming back from getting some desert. He placed his hat back on his head, waving bye to Leanne. "I look forward to seeing you again ma'am and you too sweetie."
Getting up from the booth I twiddle my thumbs calling his name. "Mr. Dutton...you can call Y/n."
"And you can call me John." He paused at the doorway before leaving the dinner.
Shrugging my jacket on and over my shoulders, Leanne came running down the stairs, almost bouncing off the wall with excitement. "Mommy, is Mr. Dutton visiting today?" She had her hair up in a braid instead of being lose like it normally was throughout the day.
"Yes, honey. He said he had something to ask me before we go out for dinner tonight." Sliding my boots on the doorbell rang where I quickly turned my head seeing someone standing at the front door through the small glass piece at the very top. Quickly walking up I turned the handle opening the door to reveal the current land owner of the largest ranch in Montana. "Hey John, come on in. Leanne has been asking about you all day."
He removed his orange coat hanging on the hook by the door after he gently closed it with his foot. "Well, I'm excited to see you too Lea. Hey why don't you go wait at the dinner table while I talk with your mom."
"What are we gonna talk about, John? I asked him once she made it out of the living room.
The older cowboy held his hat in his hands shifting from foot to foot clearly nervous. “Y/n, I know that we haven’t been together that long as I was with my late wife. But I was hoping you would maybe…uh want to meet my family at some point.”
“Oh John..” I gasped putting a hand over my heart not thinking he would be asking me that.
He cleared his throat rubbing the back of his neck avoiding my gaze when he began to get flustered. “I understand if you don’t want to yet. I mean two years isn’t that long and this was a stupid idea. I’m…gonna start the car and wait for you and Leanne..”
He started to turn on his heels until I snagged his wrist halting his tracks. “John, John, Woah hold up. It’s not that I don’t want to meet your family. I just it took me by surprise is all yet I couldn’t be more thrilled to the idea.”
“That’s a relief, darling.” John slumped his shoulders dropping his hat on the wooden floor down beside our boots. He moved one hand upward and rested it against my cheek kissing my forehead.
I smiled tilting my head up and pressing my lips onto his mumbling into the kiss. “Can I tell you something, John. I was just enough about meeting you as much as you are about me meeting your family.”
“I guess we had nerves for nothing.” He chuckled breaking the kiss briefly before drawing me in for another. Resting my hands on his chest I deepened the kiss until we heard footsteps rushing towards us.
Leanne called to us. “Mommy, Mr. Dutton, the food is getting cold and I can’t have cake until we eat.” She put her hands on her hips with us both laughing heading into the kitchen finishing off the evening no where near as nervous as we were before now.

Happy birthday Virgil <3 Started this for Fishtank Week so it's a little more Gordon than Virgil but shhh :D Many thanks to @gumnut-logic for the read-through!
Enjoy!!
CW: long term hospital visit + disorientation (Gordon, you can assume it's post hydrofoil if you like that incorporating that backstory for TAG Gordon)
---
Gordon misses the sun.
He doesn’t know what day it is, still too muddled and confused by the way it’s apparently April, and he’s missed not one but two brothers’ birthdays in the long haze of recovery. Time passes in cycles of pain and medicated relief, and he’s fallen out of sync with the world outside.
The shades have been drawn in all that time, even the slightest line of light glaring to his sensitive eyes. He’s not even sure what the colour of the walls are in this room, can’t remember them even though he’s certain the lights go on sometimes.
He hopes they’re yellow.
They’re probably white.
The door opens and the nurse bustles in, muttering to herself as she checks the lines.
“Morning,” he mumbles. It’s not been good for a long time.
He doesn’t pay attention to her chatter, not anymore. The information slides out of his memory as fast as it enters, and he doesn’t feel like asking her for her name. He knows she’s told it to him a hundred times already, sees it in the tightness around her eyes and the way her smile grows fixed.
He’s gotten pretty good at reading people’s expressions. It’s not like he can read anything else.
They won’t let him – no holos, no old-school screens, no music, not even books. He knows the rules; they’re inscribed on the inside of his head, sending alarms of searing pain if he tries to circumvent them.
When the nurse leaves, he’s left alone again in stark silence and shaded windows to wait for the next disturbance.
Gordon knows the routine well enough by now. He’ll lie in darkness until visiting hours start and someone walks in the door.
He thinks they’re following a schedule, but if there’s a pattern he doesn’t know it.
It’s dark again, ambient noise, perfect temperature.
He hates it.
It’s exactly what he needs.
There’s little difference between waking and sleeping, but still he startles when the door swings open.
It’s Virgil’s day, and Gordon melts in relief. Alan chatters, John questions and Scott hovers, but Virgil? Virgil just lets him be whatever he needs to be, knows how to follow his lead, knows when to push and when to let things go.
He can be angry, he can be miserable, he can be proud of the smallest thing. Gordon doesn’t know when Virgil became the brother that he could bare his soul to, but he knows he’s endlessly grateful.
“Hey,” he says, speech still slurred by sleep.
Virgil’s response is mumbled, face half in shadows as he turns on the dimmed night lights around the room.
He hardly looks at Gordon when he sits in the usual spot and Gordon studies him instead, trying to keep the pieces of the puzzle in his muddied head.
“Something’s happened,” he says with certainty.
Virgil snorts.
“Understatement of the century,” he mutters, unable to keep himself from catching Gordon’s eye.
Gordon shakes his head, his movements slow.
“Something’s happened,” he insists. Then he squints, taking in the way Virgil’s mouth is turned down at the corners, the steady set of his shoulders, the dark shadows under his eyes. “To you,” he finally concludes. “What happened to you?”
Clear as day, Gordon can see the clench in Virgil’s jaw, his teeth gritted together.
“Nothing.”
“Bullshit.”
Virgil glares at him. “Nothing important.”
Gordon lifts a shoulder in a half shrug. “I’ve got nowhere to be.”
“That’s not funny,” says Virgil, his voice strung tight and sharp.
“Wasn’t a joke.”
There’s more Gordon wants to say, more he wishes he could say, if only the words would stop dancing in and out of his memory. He offers Virgil a tired smile, and hopes it’s enough.
Virgil’s face softens, but still he hesitates.
Gordon reaches clumsily for his brother’s arm.
“I’m here,” he whispers. “Don’t make this place mean I can’t be with you. We’re a team, you and me.”
Slowly, Virgil nods and Gordon breathes a sigh and settles back, letting the words wash over him. For a moment, he can pretend the dimmed lights float in from a hallway lost to childhood, trusting that Virgil won’t ask anything more of him than to listen.
He thinks he can do that.

The day Titus died was a great tragedy for us all, questions had been shouted every time I passed through Polis, and Azgeda tried taking over my place. The people were scared of what the future may hold.
"Heda, what shall we do?" One of the ambassadors asked me, bowing down.
I thought for a second, "Search village to village for a fleimkepa, do not return to me till you've found one." I demanded, turning my head to the guards standing before the door. They nodded before taking their leave. Whispers were heard throughout the crowd.
"This meeting is done," I spoke loudly, tired of their questions.
Watching as they exited the castle my mind went back to Titus, he was a great flame keeper. He always knew what to do, having served 6 commanders before me. His death was unexpected, having passed in the dead of night, with no wounds. A peaceful death, something he deserved.
The only thing I could do was hope the next flame keeper was a good soul.
The sound of bells ringing and long distant chatter had awoken me, the sun beams hitting my face from the open curtains. A sight I had come to love while living in the tower.
Prying the blankets off my bed I shivered at the cold air, the fire at the end of my room doing nothing.
Placing my feet on the cold ground I rushed to the neatly placed pile of clothes sitting at the end of my bed, my shoulder gear and faded red sash included- it was important I'd wear the shoulder piece. It separated me from everyone else. I had been the second commander to rule over all 13 clans, Lexa being the first. She had united them into one coalition before her passing. Her spirit chose me wisely in the conclave.
Placing the small gear on my forehead I opened the doors to be met with guards.
"Heda, we've been waiting for you. We found a new fleimkepa,"
I had followed them down to the temple below the tower, a place Titus thought was sacred- only allowing specific people down there.
Walking down the steps I had grown nervous to meet this new flame keeper.
I stepped into the room, the only light coming from the torches lit around the room illuminating the drawings on the walls.
A pod stood on the back wall- which my new flame keeper was examining. He only turned around to face me when one of my guards coughed to get his attention.
Looking him up and down I took in his every feature, his middle part that's ever so slightly matted with blood and dirt, the stubble around his mouth, and his tall lean body covered by a dirty long robe. it all complimented him so well.
He looked quite handsome- this was supposed to be my flame keeper?
He hadn't even bowed to me when I entered the room, he stared at me awkwardly- as if he didn't even know I was the commander, I felt quite offended at his actions.
"So, you're the new fleimkepa?" I spoke as if the thought was absurd, and it was. To think this ragged man was a flame keeper, someone who was supposed to lead the commander's spirits, and keep them safe. He looked like he'd do everything but.
"So, you're the commander?" He returned my tone, offended by it.
How dare he speak to his superior like that?
"What is your name, fleimkepa,"
He looked at me completely unserious, "John Murphy, people call me Murphy, cockroach, you name it."
He spoke to me like he was having a conversation with any normal person like I couldn't end his life at any moment, like I don't have people willing to die for me just to take his.
I wondered why they called him a cockroach.
"Well then, John, where are you from?" I saw him stiffen at my question.
"Skaikru,"
Before he finished his sentence I drew my sword, causing my guards to do the same.
"Wait, wait, wait,"
I began walking closer to him making him back up and trip on the carpet.
I knew he couldn't be a true flame keeper, Skaikru was the 13th clan but it didn't mean I had to like them, I knew how they were, knew of their lies, knew their ways. They may have been a part of the coalition but they'd never know our ways.
"I knew Titus!" He yelled, making me stop in my tracks.
"Don't you say his name, Skaikru!" My sword lept to his throat, keeping it still there. The cold metal nearly cut into his skin, causing a shiver to run down his entire body.
"It's true! He taught me some stuff, that's how they found me okay! I have his journal in my bag!" Murphy's breath became erratic, suddenly realizing what was at stake.
I looked back towards my guards, "Is it true?"
"Yes, heda, he was lying on the road, trying to rob us when we found the journal in his bag,"
I looked back towards Murphy, who looked scared for his life. After a few seconds, I huffed and sheathed my sword. Murphy released a breath he didn't even know he was holding.
"Why were you trying to rob my people, John Murphy," I questioned, reaching my hand out to help him up.
"It's how I get by, alright?" He spoke, dusting himself off a bit before staring at me.
His answer brought worry to me, "Skaikru is low on resources? Do I need to send hunters to help?"
Murphy sighed softly, "They banished me for a bit," His face becoming one of solemn.
Before I could continue my guards spoke up making both me and Murphy look towards him, "Heda, the meeting to announce the new fleimkepa is starting soon, I don't want you to be late."
I nodded in his direction, "Let's go, John,"
The guards led the way to the top of the tower, and every person I passed nodded their head in my direction, something Murphy needed to take note of.
Whispers had quieted down when I strode along the carpet to my throne, Murphy following behind, taking his position next to me.
"This is your new fleimkepa," I spoke loudly for everyone to hear, questioning whispers rang throughout the room, looks of judgment and disapproval shaking of heads.
"If you have any disagreements about your new fleimkepa," I looked to Murphy, "They will be met with death," Looking back to the crowd the commotion died down.
"He's Skaikru!" I heard a person yell from the corner of the room.
"He could never be a fleimkepa!" Another joined
"Enough!" I yelled, standing up, "An attack against John Murphy, is an attack against the coalition!" My voice boomed off the walls, the room now becoming silent.
"Meeting is over,"
My guards had ushered everyone out, well, everyone but Clarke kom Skaikru.
"Can we speak," She glanced towards Murphy and back to me, "Alone?"
Looking at Murphy I nodded him off, "I'll send for you,"
"Sure thing," He rolled his eyes and made his way out the door.
"Why is Murphy the flame keeper?" Clarke asked, and I wasn't sure why she was questioning my motives. I had vowed to keep Skaikru part of the coalition after Lexa's death, and now she's questioning my motives? My motives?
"Are you saying you disagree with my choices, Clarke?" I question.
"Not at all, it's just I've spent years with Murphy, I know how he is," She paused, "He might not be who he says he is,"
I stared at her for a few moments, "Then who exactly is he?"
"A liar, a thief, and selfish,"
Her words were hypocritical, that's what everyone said about all of Skaikru.
"Thank you for the warning but I don't need it, he is the fleimkepa. If Titus trusted him, I trust him too. You may go now."
She scoffed and turned away, my guards leading her out.
I stood and headed to Murphy's room, it was one over to mine.
I didn't bother knocking, what could my flame keeper have to hide from me? But I soon regretted that decision, I saw a girl bearing the marks of a nomad.
She wore a dusty clothing piece atop her head, and many layers dressing her small body. I noticed she had a large glove covering one hand.
Murphy instinctively stood in front of her, shielding the view I had of her. Almost like he was scared I'd hurt her.
"Visitor?" I ask, looking up at his flushed face.
"My girlfriend." He replied, his girlfriend soon stepping forward.
"I'm Emori," She gave me a small smile, she was cute.
I felt my body stiffen at the use of girlfriend, though I couldn't stop their relationship, I could hate it. I wasn't sure why I had hated it, why I was so torn when she introduced herself, he had deserved someone like her, carefree from responsibilities. I was happy for Murphy.
"y/n." I returned her warm smile.
Murphy smiled as well, something that had looked good on him.
"First time I heard your name, and here I thought I was special." He teased playfully, keeping eye contact even when Emori looked back towards him.
"Well, John, you never asked." I returned his tone, for once being playful, "I'll leave you to it, and do remember I am next door."
I took one last glance at them both before exiting and heading to my room, but before entering I heard Emori speak up, her voice echoing through the hall.
"She calls you John, too?"
I couldn't stop my smile from forming at the thought of making Emori jealous over something so personal. Though sadness swept in, thinking of what they might do alone in the room.
"I want a guard in John's room tonight." I told one of the guards outside my room, one of them springing into action and entering Murphy's room. I heard complaints from the couple, Emori blaming me for this.
The night came and went and the familiar golden trails landed on my face again, the sound of birds outside as my own personal alarm clock.
I stood up with a stretch and a yawn, going for the clothes placed on the table by one of my guards.
I did my usual routine and exited my room, my guards greeting me with smiles which I returned- having a good feeling about this day.
I didn't bother knocking on Murphy's door once again, this time seeing Emori had left.
Murphy's body was sprawled out on the bed, still in a deep slumber. It must've been the best sleep he'd gotten in a week.
I smiled at the sight, his eyelashes were illuminated by the sunbeams hitting his face, making him look so at peace. I only now noticed the rest of his body. He was shirtless, and his muscles were defined despite his lean body. I snapped out of my daze when his body shuffled, moving his face away from the bright beams pouring into the room.
"John." I spoke, walking closer to his resting body.
"Hmm." His voice was muffled into the pillow.
"It's time to wake up."
He lifted his head up a bit, still into the pillow, "Why?"
"We need to make appearances," I giggled at his need to stay in bed, "People need to think you're a pleasing person today."
I walked to the edge of his bed and took a seat, eyes still on his back.
Murphy rolled over, looking at me still lying down, his hair now more disheveled, "You don't think I'm a natural charmer?" He gave me a smile after I snickered at his question.
"I think you're quite the charmer, but the people need to see that too."
I stood up and walked to his pile of now clean clothes, picking them up and tossing them on the bed.
"You have five minutes."
Murphy only sighed, getting out of bed once I left.
I was watching over Polis from the balcony in my room when I heard the door open, looking behind I saw Murphy, his hair now a neat and clean swept-back middle part.
"You're ten minutes late, John." I say, averting my gaze back down.
He came to my side, resting his elbows on the balcony walls while overlooking the view, "Your guards made me wash my hair," He snickered, "Said head can't be seen with a man like me."
I laughed at this, though it was true, he desperately needed to wash his hair.
Moments of silence passed before he spoke up again, "Must be nice being in control of everyone."
My smile faded at this, it wasn't like what everyone made it out to be. It was tough, watching over 13 clans, the responsibility of them all fell on my shoulders alone.
"It gets lonely." I muttered, turning to look at him only to find he was staring first.
Our eyes made contact, he had never looked more perfect in this moment, the yellow haze lighting up one side of his face, making the blue in his dark eyes lighten, his brown hair hanging just above his ears, strands falling on his forehead.
I hadn't even noticed I was leaning in till he pulled back awkwardly, "Emori." He spoke softly, reminding me he still had a girlfriend.
I shook my head as my face flushed a deep red, my body now full of embarrassment.
"Right, right, appearances, elevator," I muttered.
Turning towards the doors I headed to the elevator shaft; Murphy following after muttering a series of curse words.
Making it to the bottom of the tower my mind was still flooded of previous events, the way he slept, the way he looked on my balcony, the way he rejected me. I hadn't ever been rejected before, I hadn't ever felt romantically towards someone. If this is what it's like, I don't ever wanna experience it again. Is that what this was? Was I feeling romantic feelings towards John Murphy?
"So, what are we doing again?" He broke the awkward tension.
"We are here to show people you aren't as bad as they think, you're from Skaikru." I didn't need to elaborate fuller, Murphy already catching the drift of what people thought about Skaikru.
Walking through the shops of Polis we got many stares from people, the smells of cooked meat filled my nose, my stomach growled and Murphy took notice. He looked around before grabbing my hand and leading me through the streets to a deer meat vendor. The feeling of his rough hands in mine sent a shock to my body. The guards struggled to keep up.
"Heda! Beja!" The vendor spoke, handing me a piece of meat, and asking me to try.
I gratefully took the piece and ate it, my eyes sparkled when the flavors hit my tongue, looking at Murphy excitedly. The vendor had a huge grin on her face.
"Mochof!" I thanked her, glancing back at the vendor and back to Murphy.
"You have to try this." I exclaimed as the vendor handed another piece to Murphy.
Murphy placed the piece in his mouth after repeating my phrase, and his face instantly lit up. I giggled at his expression. We thanked the vendor once again before walking off.
We had passed by many shops before one caught my eye, they had an assortment of necklaces made of thread with silver pendants.
I was going to grab his hand to lead him there but I realized he never let go since the first time he grabbed it. My heart could've pumped out of my chest.
I began leading him toward the necklace vendor, my eyes practically glowing while examining the finds.
"Heda," The vendor spoke, his voice rough. He bowed to me before standing up a second later, looking towards Murphy he just nodded.
Looking through all the hanging jewelry my eyes landed on two specific ones, a sun and a moon, both in a matching set. Murphy's eyes must've seen it too as he felt the object. He took it off the rack and examined it further.
"For you and your girlfriend?" I asked. If someone listed close enough they could hear annoyance.
Once I said the word girlfriend I felt Murphy's hand slowly fall back to his side, my palm now feeling cold, missing the touch of his; a shield from the cold.
Murphy didn't answer my question, instead, he dug through his pocket and handed the vendor a silver pendant of a heart. We didn't use currency, instead we ran the shops through trade.
Once the vendor nodded Murphy tucked the necklaces into his pocket.
The awkward tension had crept onto us once again like the summer heat melting away snow.
"I'm going back to the tower, I'll leave a guard here with you." I spoke, needing time away from him, needing to catch up with my thoughts and get rid of this sickening feeling deep in my stomach.
Before he could reply I was already heading up towards the tower, tears threatening to pour down my cheeks. My people couldn't see me crying, my people couldn't know I was weak, weak for a boy.
My mind had gone back to a saying Lexa would tell me when she met Clarke, 'love isn't weakness', love may not be weak but crying sure was.
The moment I stepped into my room and shut the doors the tears came out on their own.
I didn't attempt to stop them, knowing any try would be futile. Instead, I let them drop, I let them hit the floor, it was as if they held enough emotion to crumble the entire tower. I shrugged off my shoulder gear and it hit the fur carpet with a soft thud. I walked over to the balcony- my favorite place in this tower- and watched over Polis once again; getting deja vu from previous events.
My forearms were resting on the balcony wall. I opened my palm and stared at it, the feeling of his against mine still evident; like it was just a second ago mine was intertwined with his- all the creases, lines, and spaces were engraved into my memory.
Clenching my fist I heard the door open, I was thankful the tears were long gone.
I didn't have to check to know if It was Murphy, the way his shoes hit the ground had a familiar ring to it.
"Deja vu," He spoke, I could hear a smile in his voice.
"You said it was lonely," He said, much softer this time, "How can it be when you get everything you want?"
His question was genuine. He wasn't trying to insult me or make me the butt of the joke. I could feel his eyes watching my every move before I looked into his deep blue eyes, eyes you could get lost in and never come out.
"Not everything," My eyes trailed down to his lips, they were wet but chapped; he probably licked them before entering.
We were now inches apart, I could feel the heat radiating off his body, the only thing keeping us apart was morals.
It took such little effort on his part; just the dizzy, relieved decision to give in, just an infinitesimal push toward me as his morals seemed to fade. I placed my arms around his neck, keeping him as close as possible while my eyes fluttered close. Everything at this moment just felt right, the way my arms felt around him, the way he kissed me with such passion and devotion.
I felt his hands snake down to my waist, leading me to the bed while not breaking apart, laying down below me his hands fell up and down my body. Exploring every nook and cranny; like untouched land. Tattooing the way his hands felt on my skin, goosebumps appeared on my arms, his hands were warm- he was always warm, it was a cooling contrast to my cold exterior.
Before I knew it he withdrew completely- the warm feeling of his palms roaming my body stopped, his lips devouring mine faded and it left me lost.
"Did I do something?" I said between breaths, looking down at him cluelessly.
"I can't do this, not to her." I had felt anger bubbling inside me, I quickly stood up off him as he sat up.
"Your mood swings are giving me whiplash, John," My voice sounded like I was going to break at any given moment, "Get out."
He didn't try to defend himself, or argue with me, he accepted my wishes and left. Left while the familiar tears found their way out again. I undressed and lay in bed, the comfort of the pillows taking me in; my fur blanket acting as an anchor while I drifted off to sleep as the stars illuminated the room.
Days had passed since then, and Murphy had been avoiding me.
The only times I'd see him were during meetings and occasionally passing by him in the hall.
The only time I'd hear him was late in the night, their headboard banging against the wall- a constant reminder of the rejection I had faced.
A reminder of the night when his lips were on mine, his hands exploring my soft skin.
I spent the nights wishing it was me below Murphy, I knew I shouldn't, but how could I not? I knew she had been moaning louder on purpose every night, taunting me, telling me it was her who got to be with him.
Sometimes I'd feel shivers in the places he touched me, ghosts of his fingers, places I craved for him, places only he could touch.
I jumped slightly when I heard yelling beyond the wall, I tried to listen in but the wall was too thick.
I knew I shouldn't but I grabbed a robe and placed it around my uncovered body, opening the doors and gushing the guards before getting close to the door.
The yelling became much clearer now, but too bad I missed out on half the conversation.
Emori burst through the doors, staring at me with eyes full of anger, she glanced between me and the guards before leaving with heavy footsteps.
I entered Murphy's room, he was sitting on his bed with his elbows on his knees, hands resting on his head, and the sight of him upset made me angry.
I grabbed his attention when I shut the doors behind me.
"Never did know how to knock, huh?" He asked, still very annoyed.
I giggled at this, taking a seat next to him, my robe glided up my thighs which he noticed.
"What happened?" I asked, placing a hand on his comfortingly. He stared down at our hands, processing what had just happened.
Murphy sighed, rubbing his thumb along your fingers, feeling your cold skin. "She found the necklaces, and wanted to wear one, I wouldn't let her."
I was shocked at the new information, "Werent they for you and her?"
His eyes turned to look into mine, "They were for us."
My mind went blank, "I don't understand, John."
"That heart pendant I traded? She gave it to me." He paused, finding the words, "Ever since I've met you, things have felt real. I'm not surviving with you, I'm living."
I smiled at his words, heat rising to my cheeks.
It took me one second to realize we were leaning in.
It took me two seconds to realize we were kissing.
It took me three seconds to realize his hand was snaking up my thigh.
The feeling of his hand warmed my body- a feeling I've come to love, to crave. His hand made its way to my chest, pushing me down on my back while he stood in between my legs.
Murphy separated from the kiss to take his shirt off, revealing his toned, lean body. I took this time to undo the robe and slip out of my bra.
Murphy just watched in 'awe' at my body, his hands instantly feeling the new unexplored areas. His palms instantly groped my breasts, earning a sweet, sensual moan from me.
"So beautiful." He whispered under his breath. My face couldn't possibly get any redder, but I was growing more needy by the second.
As if knowing what I needed most, one of his hands trailed down to where I needed him most. He slipped my now-soaked panties to the side, revealing my wet pussy. Murphy bit his lip at the full view of me.
"Why didn't I do this sooner," He teased, lightly rubbing up and down my pussy, lubing his fingers up before pushing one in.
The feeling was sudden, making my body tense at the newfound warmth. I stared into his eyes as he pumped his finger in and out, lewd sounds slowly filling the room along with my moans.
His thumb circled my clit while he entered another finger, only enhancing the pleasure, causing me to throw my head back and buck into his hand, starting to need more than just his fingers.
"So needy," He snickered, curling his soaked fingers, and using his other hand to keep my thighs open.
"Shut up," I said between moans. My hands found their way to my breasts, kneading them myself. The lewd scene made Murphy's bulge even bigger, he bit his lip to hold back a moan caused by the friction of his jeans.
A feeling I knew all too well slithered its way down my body, and Murphy's pace on my clit quickened.
"John," I moaned out, feeling the climax come closer and closer until everything stopped.
Murphy pulled his fingers out with a sly smirk, bringing his fingers to his mouth and cleaning them off.
"You jerk!" I yelled out, practically whining at the loss of contact.
"You're not gonna cum until I do," He said, sliding off his jeans and boxers to reveal his protruding cock.
I stared at his dick, craving it more than anything already, not caring how he will fit it in.
He brought his tip to my clit, rubbing it in circles and groaning at the contact. Murphy couldn't wait any longer, without warning he trusted me, leaning down to kiss and suck on my neck.
I let out a lust-filled moan, "John!" I shrieked in surprise at the sudden filling. My hands roamed over his back, nails digging in with every thrust of his cock.
The feeling was overbearing, the way his tip hit all the right places so roughly.
"Needed you so bad," I moan out into his ear, only causing him to pull out slowly and slam back in roughly.
Murphy was marking my neck, wanting to let everyone know I was his, only he could touch me, only he could make me feel this good.
The same feeling was coming back with every thrust that hit my sweet spot, "I'm so close," My hands held the back of his neck while my thighs tightened around his hips, bringing him closer to me.
"Not yet, baby, wait for me, you can do it," He praised between kisses.
He couldn't have been far off his own climax, as his thrusts got sloppy and erratic, dick twitching in me, begging to release his cum.
Murphy leaned back, grabbing my thighs and spreading them wider, having my control of his thrusts. They became deeper and faster. I wasn't sure how much longer I could hold on for.
My moans became louder, I was sure the guards were worried but I was too focused on how good Murphy's cock felt to care.
Murphy's jaw tightened before speaking, "Cum on my cock, baby,"
He didn't even need to finish his sentence and I was already cumming, arching my back in pleasure and letting the moans slip out freely. My legs shook in his grasp and my pussy clenched as I painted his dick white, the sight alone had him cumming in me, unable to control himself for much longer.
He kept thrusting, fucking me through both our highs. Our bodies were now sweaty and humid. Pulling out of me he watched the cum drip onto the floor, fighting the urge to go another round he picked up one of Emoris shirts to clean me up. He tossed the now dirty shirt aside and just stared at my exhausted body with a smile.
He looked to the dresser and picked up one of the necklaces, it was the sun. He motioned for me to sit up and I did. Moving my hair out of the way he tied the necklace neatly around my neck, admiring me afterward before placing his own on with a goofy smile.
I smiled at him, the exhaustion becoming too much I crawled under the bed, making enough room for him to crawl under with me which he gladly did, taking hold of my body and causing me to grow warm.
"I love you," He whispered sweetly, rubbing my shoulder with his thumb.
"I love you too,"
