ASTRO OBSERVATIONS I'VE OBSERVED.
NOTE: THESE ARE ANECDOTAL OBSERVATIONS; HENCE, MIGHT NOT BE APPLICABLE FOR EVERYONE.
Mercury in Capricorn almost always talks about jobs and money. If accompanied by Libra or gemini, they're meant to be in a field which requires them to make connections with financial people.
Air sign people are prodigies in something. Take this with a grain of salt.
Having 11 house stelliums, might mean that you'll get to your destiny through other people. Not necessarily stomping over them, but connections that you build will help you get higher and higher.
Cancer moons are some of the most insecure people I've met, but once they gain confidence over themselves, you just know you're seeing a star in the making. They are so flamboyant, just like Leo moons. Might have to do something with them being associated with luminaries and inner worlds since your moon sign depicts your inner self.
Work with your North Node and the house it resides in to become your better self. The sign and house always hold the key that leads to self-improvement which leads to better mental health and strong mindsets regarding your fears.
Interesting observation I've made on this: my Juno has no aspects in my natal chart. But it resides in 11th house in Aquarius in 28°. I'm yet to see anything significant regarding this.
The most picky Venus signs are Venus in Virgo and Venus in Capricorn. But they also love the hardest given that both love stability one way or another and providing comfort to their significant other is a matter of pride for them.
I don't understand why the manipulation tactics of fire signs are not talked about enough. Well?aspects can play a huge role, but know this: so many fire signs have so many different personalities.
Wherever you have Taurean degrees- 2, 14 and 26, just know you might have a scarcity mindset, and stubbornness rules that house.
6th house placements almost always deals with social anxiety. Correct me if I'm wrong.
If you have afflicted 11th house, just know your friends might not be what they seem.
12th housers and Pisces stelliums might get dreams about their future significant other or about their loved one's significant events. I had a friend who had heavy pisces in her chart, and she almost every time would dream about her best friends' results before exams and well, her dreams never lied.
Never underestimate an Aries' competitiveness. If they want it, they won't stop until they get it. But it's the journey that excites them.
I don't get the slander Venus in Gemini get in astro community: they are really cool people who love hard, if you meet their standards.
Do let me know what you think, and let's discuss.

Pt.1
Pairing - lowkey yandere  Kim Taehyung x workaholic!Reader Kind of co-workers au Genres- yandere, comfort, angst, smut if you hold your breath
Summary ; co-worker Taehyung is the only person who makes reader feel safe in the office, he is the perfect gentleman that she falls in love with but what happens when the very trust you put in him is the one way ticket he will use to test your morals to their uncomfortable limits
note, miss gurl is terrible with summaries like I just end up spilling the entire tea whenever I try to invest into a summary 💀
Anyways This is going to be a mini series ,I pulled this one out of my 1am adrenaline and It feels like a personal attack Chile! Here's part one , I have no clue about the amount of chapters we're going to have
Word count: 900+
+. +. +.
MINORS!!GET OUTTA HERE OR IM CALLING YOUR MUM
he was daring…or unhinged who cares when the difference was all in the subtle shift in his set of behaviors towards you
the subtle way in which his dark eyes did not shy away from raking over every inch of you from head to toe
a once-over so subtle yet so affective on all parts of your being
it was as if his dark eyes knew stuff about you you had never shared with him , like the layer of clothes on your body were non existent in his eyes  , only his eyes in this room full of people
in this huge office where his girlfriend just happens to be the chippery conversationalist eager to form a friendship with you on regular work days
Hana ,she was the office crush
desired by half if not all men in the work building, she was hot , confident, outgoing ,friendly and she knew how to dress for the assets granted by her bloodline
hell if you were a guy you'd line up as well
she was annoyingly perfect and new to your department ,endorsed by THE Kim Taehyung himself after a full year of running a different department brunch of the company , that is where the two met and formed a relationship.
YOU on the other hand had been acquainted with Taehyung the year before his initial transfer , you were an intern that year…he was your senior at work but on a dunken night you learned that you weren't so far apart in age
back then he was just your wonderful senior , he was always hot but you were never one to swoon over people who had no interest in you
so when did energies take this confusing twist?
you're not exactly sure but you can make out a vivid memory of when Taehyung took interest in the selfies you uploaded on your social media casually recommending you for image related tasks in boardroom meetings , you were pretty popular and adored around the office yourself
you were good at your job and rarely took off days , some would say you were a goodie two shoes and while you were beautiful your ability to handle hard tasks at work over shadowed your feminine value in the office .
you didn't  really know Tae out of his suit and ties while seemed to know a moderate enough about you not in a creepy manner ,he was attentive in a respectful manner that a friendly work senior would
the two of you felt far from friends hence you knew next to nothing about him
many of your male coworkers would try to make you feel less than or just attempt to reduce you to a bimbo in your early days but you had him , he was respectful and he spoke in your advocacy when it was necessary
you never felt ridiculed by him and maybe you began to like him ,
you were pretty obvious , warmed by his gentle gaze and the way he gave you all his attention , at other times you could swear you thought he felt the same and you would idiotically turn down guys to wait for him
for unspoken soft gazes sent your way by Taehyung
you're embarrassed for your pathetic self when you forget to transfer a file that needed to be reviewed over night in the office and have to go back after making it pretty close to home
in your sweaty glory with your blouse stuck to your skin and your heart hammering in your ears you want to believe that your eyes are on a different level of tripping when you walk past the conference room where a nest of dark long hair hides the face of the woman being pleasured into moonlight and you are ready to tiptoe away when something about the man with his face hidden in the crook of her neck  keeps you rooted
and if you felt sick the next set of moments make you want to vomit projectile
the man raises his head eyebrows scrunched in concentration or pleasure…,damned dark eyes heavy with lone hairs from his usually gelled back jet black hair sticking to his forehead in a dangerous way that you did not need to know of , it's when he stares between himself and the woman in front of him that his lips curl in a heart wrenching smirk inflicting a mortal wound as his eyes meet yours that are getting teary for reasons unknown to you yourself .
….
to be continued.

“Sora,” you cooed at your cat, your torso jammed beneath the bed as you tried to pull her out. “Dearest Sora, please don’t make this so difficult.”
“I told you you should’ve gotten rid of her when you had the chance,” Ryosuke said from where he was folding clothes to put in his suitcase. “Honestly, I don’t get why you insist on keeping her around. All she does is shit in the house and make problems.”
“She uses her litter box like a good girl, and she doesn’t cause trouble on purpose,” you said. “She’s an animal, not a person. She’s not capable of malicious intent.”
“Whatever. All I’m saying is that things would be a lot easier if you had just left her at the shelter when you moved in with me,” he said.
“I’ve had her for years,” you said, finally getting a grasp on her body and yanking her out in one swift move. “She’s a part of my family. I don’t know why you’re so determined to hate her.”
“She hates me, too!” he said. True to form, Sora hissed at him as you walked past, her ears flattening to show the disdain she had always held for him. “And you always take her side. It’s like you like her more than me!”
You rolled your eyes. “She’s a cat. You’re jealous of a cat.”
And you’re the one who’s cheating, anyways. You left this second part unsaid, because it wasn’t really relevant to the conversation, and besides, you had done such a good job at maintaining the facade of normalcy in your relationship that it would be a waste to break it just because he was annoying you.
That didn’t stop you from scowling at him when his back was turned, pressing a kiss atop Sora’s head and smiling when she purred at the show of affection — or was it because you were in the kitchen and near to her container of treats on the counter that she was so pleased?
“I’m not sure what to do with you,” you admitted, scratching under her chin with one hand and opening the jar with the other, offering her half of a treat as a consolation for having ripped her so uncaringly from her hiding place. She accepted it daintily, which meant that all was forgiven, and you stroked her in appreciation.
She was an enormous, fluffy white cat, closer in size to a small dog than anything. Her eyes were a wide, endless blue, hence why you had named her Sora, and her fur felt like cotton when you ran your hands through it. You had had her for almost as long as you had been in America, and you thought that there was almost no one in the entire vapid country who you loved more.
Normally, if you and Ryosuke had to go somewhere, you’d drop Sora off at Chigiri’s. She liked him well enough, and he was typically glad for the company, so it was a mutually beneficial deal. But of course, this time, Chigiri would also be away, as he was attending the same wedding that you and Ryosuke were, which meant that you were somewhat out of luck.
Sora dangled limply in your arms like a heap of rags as you paced about the kitchen, trying and failing to come up with someone who could take care of her while you were gone. Finally giving up when you realized that Chigiri had been right, you really did need more friends, you picked up your phone and called the man in question.
“Yo,” he said, answering almost immediately, though you could hear the shower running in the background, which meant he was either about to get into the bath or had gotten out for the express purpose of answering you. Either way, you decided not to hold him up with useless pleasantries.
“Hey, Chigiri,” you said. “I heard you’re going to Reo and May’s wedding?”
“Yeah, I’m between jobs again, so it’s not like I need to take off work or anything,” he said.
“Again?” you said, your resolve to have a quick conversation shattering almost immediately. The sound of water stopped, which meant that he, too, sensed the call was probably not going to be a short one.
“Tell me about it. I can only land short-term gigs at the moment,” he said.
“Maybe you should just move away from trying to coach entirely,” you suggested. “You were a marketing major, right? You could probably go corporate.”
“I know, but I don’t think I’m that desperate yet. I’m sure something or another will come along. The issue is that no high-level team wants a coach who hasn’t played in years, but those high-level gigs are the ones that are much steadier in terms of pay and schedule,” he said.
“I’d want you as a coach,” you said loyally. “If I was a soccer player.”
“You’d be a shitty soccer player. I don’t even think my coaching could change that fact,” he said.
“You’re so mean to me,” you said.
“Someone has to do it,” he said.
“And there I was, trying to support you,” you said. “On a more serious note, though, any team that doesn’t hire you just because of what happened back then is stupid.”
“Oh, I agree completely, but try telling them that. It’s all ‘sorry, but we want a coach that has a little more experience.’ I have experience! The only reason our school ever won games was because of me, even after I stopped being able to play myself. It’s not like that dumbass coach ever did anything for us beyond praising your peacock bastard fiancé,” he said
“Exactly,” you said, though you had no idea how true this was, as according to Ryosuke, he had been the one to carry the team to victory. The roles Chigiri might’ve had to play in their victories, if any, had always been omitted.
“Ugh, it’s fine. Like I said, I’m sure there’s some youth league that’ll take me on next season, so it’s okay. I’ll work it out, like I always do,”he said.
“Let me know if you need help at any point,” you said.
“Always,” he said.
“In the meantime, uh, I actually need your help,” you said.
“Right, I was wondering why you had called,” he said.
“The thing is that I don’t have anyone else I can leave Sora with, so I was going to pay one of my company’s interns to watch her while we’re gone,” you said.
“Aw, make sure you pick someone gentle. She’s very particular,” he said.
“You know, she is my cat,” you said.
“Just reminding you!” he said.
“I think I know who I’m going to ask already, so as long as he agrees to it, it’ll be fine,” you said.
“Okay, so what’s my place in all of this?” he said.
“Ryosuke and I have to go over a little earlier, since I’m the maid of honor, so I was wondering if you’d be alright with watching her until you have to leave?” you said.
“Why, because you don’t have to pay me?” he said.
“I can, if you want,” you said. “It’s just so she can be somewhere she’s comfortable, since she’s never met this kid before.”
“I was just joking, don’t worry about it. Drop her off whenever,” he said.
“You’re the best,” you said.
“Yup,” he agreed. “Now, I was kind of in the middle of something, so…”
“Oops, right, go enjoy your shower,” you said.
“Wait, how’d you know I was showering?”
Although there were several interns working for your company at any given time, you generally paid little attention to most of them. You were too busy with your own work and life to care about their struggles, so beyond giving them advice when they asked and helping them out when you didn’t have to go out of your way to, you didn’t interact with them much.
There was one boy, though, who had caught your eye. Something about his aloof personality and quiet demeanor reminded you of a person you had known back in high school, and you had unofficially adopted him, though you weren’t sure if he was exactly aware of this fact.
Actually, he was definitely unaware, considering the way he all but jumped out of his skin when you sat across from him in the lunchroom.
“Hey, Niko,” you said brightly. His dark hair covered his eyes, so you couldn’t read his reaction, but if you had to guess, it was probably panic. If you were in his place, that was what you’d be feeling, considering it wasn’t exactly typical of the regular employees to hang out with the students.
“Um, hello, Miss L/N,” he said, somehow managing to keep his voice level. “Am I in trouble or something?”
“No,” you said. “I just need you to do me a favor.”
He got out of his seat immediately, pulling out his phone from his pocket and opening the notes app. You furrowed your brow as he tapped his foot expectantly.
“Well? What’s your coffee order? And which shop do you want me to get it from? I accidentally went to Starbucks the other day to get a latte for the director and he freaked out about it,” he said.
“Oh! He thinks Starbucks makes their coffee too sweet, that’s probably why,” you said.
“I learned that the hard way,” he said.
“Yikes, I’m sure that was not a fun conversation,” you said. “But that’s unimportant. I don’t need coffee, and you don’t have to say yes to this or anything. I guess you can consider it to be more of a request from a friend — although I promise I will pay you!”
“Okay,” Niko said hesitantly.
“I’ll just lay it on you,” you said.
“Go ahead,” he said.
“I’m going abroad for a wedding soon, and I need someone to watch my cat,” you said. “She’s very well-behaved and friendly! Honestly, she’ll just sit with you on the couch the whole time, I’m sure. I’ll give you her food and everything, and like I said, I’ll pay you, so how about it?”
For the first time, he looked up at you, his hair falling out of his face and revealing bright, shimmering eyes. He clasped his hands together, a smile threatening to dawn upon his face, and then it was your turn to grow bewildered by the sudden switch in his personality.
“Yes!” he said. “I’d even do it for free, Miss L/N.”
“Woah, are you a cat enthusiast or something? And none of that; of course I’m going to pay, or else it’d just feel like I’m taking advantage of some poor intern,” you said.
“I really like them,” he said. “I’ve had one my whole life, but my house is a three hour drive from campus, so I haven’t gotten to see her much since graduating high school. I really miss hanging out with her, though, so it’ll be nice to have a cat around, even if it’s only for a little while.”
“Perfect!” you said, cheering internally at how well things had worked out. “She’ll be staying with a friend of mine, so if you’ll give me your number, I’ll send it to him so you can coordinate picking her up at some point.”
“Sure,” he said, giving you his phone so you could type his number into your own. “What’s your friend’s name?”
“Hyoma Chigiri,” you said. Niko’s jaw dropped.
“Hyoma Chigiri?” he whispered. “You’re friends with him?”
“Do you know him or something?” you said, handing him his phone back. Niko shook his head.
“Not personally, but I remember reading about what happened to him,” he said. “It’s one of the reasons my parents convinced me to stop playing soccer.”
“Ah, maybe don’t mention it around him,” you said. “He’s doing fine now, but he still doesn’t like talking about it.”
“That’s understandable,” Niko said. “My lips are sealed. I just can’t believe I’m going to have Hyoma Chigiri’s number in my phone!”
“Feel free to act like a fan all you want,” you said, after the initial strangeness of meeting someone still so obsessed with Chigiri had passed. “He really appreciates it when people praise him. Though, you probably shouldn’t spam him or anything.”
“I’ll be just as responsible with his phone number as I will with your cat. Thank you for entrusting me with this, Miss L/N! I promise I won’t let you down,” he said.
“I know you won’t,” you said. “And, to be fair, it’s not really a difficult task. Just sit at home and watch TV a lot and be kind with her; if you can do that, then Sora will be perfectly content.”
“That’s what I’d do anyways,” he said.
“Great,” you said. “Now I can feel even less like I’m taking advantage of some poor intern.”
“Thank you again for your faith in me!” he said when you reached your office, bowing at you as if you were some kind of sage master that had offered him a great opportunity for personal growth.
At least he was taking it seriously. You thanked whatever deity had intervened on your behalf that you had found the one person within a ten-mile radius who would care for Sora as well as you or Chigiri would.
Unlike Ryosuke, you barely packed anything but the most basic of items. This was because you knew full well that the minute you stepped foot on Japanese soil, you would be dragged into Reo’s arms, whereupon he would force you into his car and take you shopping at the closest luxury mall — on his card, of course. He was prone to such acts when it came to you, mostly because you were one of the first true friends he had ever had, and so he tended to spoil you as if you were his baby sister or something.
“How can you be sure that Reo’s going to get you everything you need?” Ryosuke said, eyeing the suitcase you lifted into the trunk of the car. “It’s been a pretty long time since you saw him last. He’s probably matured a ton since then — I mean, he’s getting married! What kind of wife would be okay with her husband doting on some random girl?”
“For one, I’m not some random girl; I’ve known May longer than Reo has, and I’m also the one who introduced them to one another. She knows there’s nothing between us, so there would be no reason for her to not be okay with it. Secondly, I’ve been friends with Reo for so long that he’s more like a weird cousin of mine than anything. The Mikages look after their own, and it just so happens that I am, by proxy, one of them. So I can be reasonably confident that it’ll work out in that way,” you said.
“Don’t you feel bad, then?” he said. “You’re using your best friend for his money.”
“You’re so determined to find fault with our relationship,” you said. “It’s not like that. Everyone has different ways to show affection for the people they care about. It just so happens that Reo’s so wealthy that that kind of thing is his own personal manner.”
Ryosuke scoffed, pressing the button to turn on the ignition and starting the car without another word, prompting a worried mewl from Sora, whose carrier was currently on your lap. You tapped the side to remind her that you were still there with her, and she quieted at that.
“Don’t forget that we have to go to Chigiri’s first,” you said.
“Yes, yes, we’ll stop by your lover’s house,” Ryosuke said. At your surprised expression, he laughed. “What? You’re always with him or at his place. Any normal person would suspect it.”
There were a million things you could say in response, but the least-inflammatory was a repetition of the same thing you had been telling him since the day the two of you got together.
“You know I’ve never been with anyone but you,” you said.
“Of course,” he said. “I guess that’s true. No matter how many people you sleep with now, you can never change the fact that I was the first.”
“Hm,” you said, staring out of the window and speaking to his reflection instead of facing him properly. “Don’t be crude.”
“Come on, it’s just us two. When else can we make these kinds of jokes?” he said.
“You didn’t seem like you were joking,” you noted.
“Y/N, I’m hurt. You thought I was being serious? I mean, did you really think that I believed for a second that anyone preferred that washed up princess’s company to mine?” he said, stalling the car in the driveway and grinning. “Tell him I said hi.”
“You and I both know that’ll accomplish nothing,” you said, slinging the bag of Sora’s things over your shoulder and gripping the handle of her carrier so tightly that your knuckles whitened. “I’ll be back soon. No point in missing our flight.”
“I’ll be here,” Ryosuke said, waving at you as he began to fiddle with the knobs on the car’s dashboard, evidently trying to decide whether he wanted the radio to play classical music or the latest episode of some talk show.
You rang the doorbell and then stepped back, knowing it might take Chigiri a second to get to the door depending on where in the house he was located. Luckily, he had been expecting your arrival, so by the time your arm began to grow numb from holding Sora’s carrier, he was opening the door and inviting you in.
“Thank you again for doing this,” you said, setting the carrier down with a thump and massaging your shoulder. Chigiri crouched gingerly, unzipping the opening to the carrier and allowing Sora to peek her head out. When she realized where she was, she bounded out, rubbing her head against Chigiri’s legs as he breathed out a laugh and rubbed her face with his hands.
“Don’t mention it,” he said. “It’s nice having someone else in the house. Less lonely.”
Your face softened, and if it weren’t for Ryosuke’s presence looming in the driveway, you’d have leaned over and hugged him. But as it was, your fiancé was waiting, and if you lingered for much longer, you risked missing your flight.
“You have Niko’s number?” you said.
“Yeah. He’s kind of a weird kid,” Chigiri said.
“What do you mean?” you said.
“He keeps telling me that he thinks I’m cool and that he can’t believe he’s texting me,” Chigiri said, a faint pink dusting his cheeks. “So strange.”
At this, you smiled, vowing to text Niko and thank him later. His admiration was exactly the boost Chigiri needed when he was so down on his luck, and though he was pretending like he found it odd, it was obvious he was pleased by the attention.
“As long as he can take care of Sora,” you said. Chigiri nodded in determination.
“I’m sure he can. He obviously has good taste in other things, so it stands to reason that he’d be the kind of person who could really look out for her in the way she’s used to,” he said.
“You would be the first to die in a horror movie,” you said. “Did you know that?”
“What? Why would you say such a thing?” he said.
“Never mind,” you said. “I should go. Ryosuke’s in the car, and our flight is soon.”
Chigiri wrinkled his nose, his whole delicate face crumpling at the mention of your fiancé.
“I thought something felt off about the property,” he said.
“You are so dramatic,” you said. “He says hi.”
“Tell him I said fuck off,” Chigiri said.
“I don’t think — actually, sure,” you said. “I’ll do that. See you at the wedding. And Sora, please be a good girl for Chigiri and Niko alike.”
“She will be,” Chigiri said affectionately. Sora had wriggled her way into his arms, and he stood while hugging her to his chest, ready to shut the door behind you. “See you, Y/N.”
You were reluctant to leave, because it would be so easy to stay and talk with Chigiri while playing with Sora, but you knew you had to. Even that knowledge, though, was hardly enough — it was simply the thought of seeing Reo and May again that made you take the next step, and the next, all of the way until you were back in the passenger seat of the car and Ryosuke was reversing the car down the driveway.
“So, how is my beloved teammate?” Ryosuke said. “Did he leave you with a message for me?”
“Yes,” you said. “He told me to tell you to fuck off.”
Ryosuke chuckled. “Sounds about right. He’s always been a petty son of a—”
“Ryosuke,” you sighed. “Do you really get any gain out of insulting the only friend I have left in this country?”
“It’s the same gain he gets out of insulting your fiancé!” he said.
“Which I always reprimand him for,” you said. “And also, he at least has something resembling a reason to resent you. When you do it, it just feels excessive.”
“You defend me to him?” he said.
“Obviously?” you said. “Did you think I wouldn’t?”
“I suddenly feel very cheerful and optimistic,” he observed.
“What are you talking about?” you said. He waved you off.
“Don’t worry about it,” he said. “It was a personal musing. Think of it like an interjection from the narrator, except that in this case, the narrator and the protagonist are the same.”
“Okay,” you said. “Sure. If that’s what makes sense to you.”
The two of you spent the rest of the drive to the airport in relative silence. Ryosuke hummed along to whatever pop song came on the radio, tapping his fingers against the steering wheel as he drove, and you texted your friends — mostly Reo and May, who had been anxiously waiting for your arrival since you had agreed to come at all.
When you had first started dating, you used to go on aimless drives for hours, talking about whatever crossed your mind. Not a second would go by without one of you speaking, but that kind of constant conversation wasn’t sustainable. Eventually, you both ran out of things to say, and so you began to spend more and more of your time together in silence. That was around the time that Ryosuke began to seek outside assistance in quelling the fire which was constantly blazing within him; whether it was a coincidence or a cause, you could not tell, but it remained that everything had happened at once and led to your relationship now being like this.
You always forgot how long the flight back to Japan was. It was the second reason you never visited, beyond the fact that there was hardly anything worth visiting in the first place — it was a day-long ordeal composed of arguing with the TSA agents, waiting in security lines, and of course the flight itself, which was only marginally bearable because Reo insisted on buying you first-class tickets.
You spent most of it dozing, the armrest between you and Ryosuke pushed up so you could lean your head against his chest as he watched a movie. In the haze of your sleep, you could feel his arm wrapping around your shoulders, his fingers idly stroking your cheek as if that were the natural outcome, as if there was no other place that they could come to rest. It was the easiest that things had ever been between you in some time, and subconsciously, you relished in it, in the soft scent of his cologne, in the warmth of pretending like you were loved by someone again.
Reo had told you, in no uncertain terms, to not even attempt going to the baggage claim. He had contacts in the airport who would take care of it, because of course he did, and so the only thing you and Ryosuke had to do was meet him and May at the gate. You stopped in the bathroom, mostly at your insistence, so that you could freshen yourself after the long flight, which had sapped you of most of your energy despite how much of it you had spent sleeping.
“Are you nervous?” Ryosuke said as you reached the door. He held both of your carry-on bags in his hands, an amused grin on his face as you all but vibrated with every step you took.
“Of course,” you said. “I haven’t seen them in so long, and I haven’t been back home in that same amount of time. I don’t know how it’s all changed. And what if it hasn’t? What if the only one who’s changed is me?”
“Only one way to find out,” he said, nudging you in the side. “Look who it is.”
Standing awkwardly by the metal barrier separating the airport from the street in front of it, surrounded by security guards that kept the rest of the crowds at bay, was Reo Mikage. He wore a pair of khaki shorts and a polo, sunglasses perched on his head as he checked the time on the — likely expensive — watch which he wore on his left wrist.
A grin split your face, your spirit rejuvenated as surely as if you had never been exhausted in the first place. Cupping your hands around your mouth to amplify your voice, you shouted out his name with glee.
“Reo!”
The boredom dropped from his expression immediately as his head snapped up, trying to determine the source of the noise. When he locked eyes with you, he beamed so brightly that you were all but blinded by it, and then you were both racing towards the opening in the barricade where you could finally meet.
You tossed your arms around his neck as soon as you could reach him, clinging onto him tightly, suddenly and unreasonably weepy at the fact that the two of you had finally been reunited. He did the same, squeezing you to the point that you thought you might burst from the pressure.
“I can’t believe you’re finally back,” he said, letting you go and holding you at an arm’s length so that he could look you over with a critical eye. “How have you been?”
“Good,” you said. “Where’s May?”
“She had to go to the bathroom,” he said. “She should be back in a couple of seconds, and she’ll probably be furious, too, considering she was really hoping she’d spot you first. I convinced her that it would be fine for her to take a moment to herself, and that it’d probably still be a bit of time before you arrived, but, uh, I guess it ended up being kind of an unfortunate coincidence in that sense.”
“What’s up, man? Congrats on the wedding,” Ryosuke said, finally catching up to you and offering Reo his hand. Reo glanced at it, and anyone who didn’t know him as well as you did wouldn’t have even noticed the way he hesitated before taking it and shaking it with the firm conviction of a businessman.
“Thanks, Kira,” he said. “You’ve been taking care of my best friend?”
“’Course I have been,” Ryosuke said, ruffling your hair. You did your best to force a laugh, not wanting Reo to have to concern himself with your wellbeing when he was about to be married. “You’ll be the one coming back to America for our wedding soon.”
“That so?” Reo said, raising an eyebrow at you. “I expect to be the first one invited to the wedding, then.”
“Was I the first one invited to yours?” you shot back.
“Er, I mean, not exactly…” Reo said, rubbing the back of his neck. “I had to tell Nagi first, since I wanted him to be my best man and had to give him adequate time to prepare for the hassle of the role.”
“Then I’ll invite May first, since she’ll naturally be my maid of honor,” you said, your stomach twisting at the mention of Nagi. “But you can be second, Reo.”
“That’s right!” a new voice said. “He had better be second, considering he sent me to the bathroom so that he could win our bet!”
And then there she was in front of you: Reo’s soon-to-be wife and your former roommate, May Ducat. Her thick brown hair was loose and wavy around her shoulders, and her peacock-feather eyes gleamed as she embraced you tightly.
“May,” you said. “It’s so good to see you.”
“It’s good to see you!” she said. “I miss you every day. Mostly because you were a much better roommate than this one. He snores.”
“Hey!” Reo said, gasping in offense. “I do not.”
You dug around in your pocket before solemnly presenting her with a box of breathe-right strips.
“I know,” you said. May clapped in delight, accepting them and then turning to hand them to Reo, who took them even as he protested that he definitely didn’t need them and how would Y/N even know if I snore, anyways?
“Congratulations, May,” Ryosuke said, offering her his hand as well. May glanced at but did not accept it, opting to smile frigidly instead.
“Thank you for coming,” she said. After a discomfiting pause, Ryosuke lowered his hand, brushing it off against his pants and clearing his throat.
“I couldn’t let Y/N come alone,” he said.
“Of course not,” she said.
“It’ll be my first time meeting her parents,” he said. At this, May gave you a sad look. Though you had never told her much, she had always harbored her suspicions, always been less fond of Ryosuke than she really ought to be, considering he was typically polite to her.
“I hope it goes well,” she said. Ever the diplomat, Reo was the first to break the ensuing silence, clearing his throat.
“Alright, then! I’ll have one of my drivers take you two to your hotel room, where your things will be waiting, and then tonight, we can show you around. Y/N, they just built a new mall where that park used to be, so we can go shopping there,” he said.
“They built a mall over the park?” you said, your eyes widening at the prospect. Reo nodded.
“Isn’t it great? It’s so much more convenient than the one we used to go to,” he said. You disguised your frown with a yawn.
“Right,” you said.
“Try not to sleep,” May advised. “It’ll help you break your jet lag if you just stay up for as long as you can.”
“We’ll do our best,” Ryosuke said. May gave him a measured look before nodding slightly, turning away to continue her conversation with Reo instead of risking further discussion with your fiancé.
The hotel you were staying in was only a few streets down from your childhood home, and as with all things Reo, it was excessively opulent. The shower itself was large enough to fit at least ten people, and you spent far longer in it than was really necessary, rinsing the grime of your journey off of yourself.
“Going to sleep already?” Ryosuke said when you crawled under the covers of the bed beside him. “May recommended we wait.”
“I know,” you said with a yawn. “I’m just going to lie down and close my eyes. I’m not actually going to sleep or anything.”
“Whatever you say,” he said, patting you on the head. “I’ll do the same, then.”
Before long, the both of you had passed out.

Hey, I have a hailee steinfeld x reader request:
Reader is Chris Hemsworth's cousin (meaning she's aussie.) And she is dating Hailee Steinfeld. (But the relationship is a private relationship.) She plays Spider-Woman in Hawkeye and Kate Bishop's love interest. So, in an interview for ATSV, they talk about Readers Spider-Woman making an appearance in the movie.
karma is the girl on the screen coming straight home to me [H.Steinfeld]
Tumblr media
pairing: hailee steinfeld x hemsworth!reader
summary: having to do interviews with your girlfriend comes with its own set of challenges. thankfully, you always have each other's back.
warnings: none, just fluff with a side of plot; abrupt start and even more abrupt ending; light mentions of anxiety
wordcount: 1.5k
a/n: this request spent almost a month in my inbox and i am so sorry for that. i hope you like it despite the long wait!
* * * * * * *
You look up from your phone at the sound of footsteps approaching. There’s no way to hide the smile that spreads across your features once you catch sight of who’s walking toward you.
“Don’t tell me you started missing me already, Steinfeld.”
She rolls her eyes affectionately at the use of her last name, an old habit that still lingers between the two of you sometimes. “You wish, Hemsworth. Just came to tell you we have five minutes before the interview starts. Wouldn’t want you to be late. Again.”
“That’s a low blow. You’re the reason I was late last time.”
“Weird. I don’t remember it like that.”
“Why am I not surprised?” You reply, attempting to sound annoyed and failing miserably.
She takes a quick look around before reaching out for your hands. You welcome the physical affection a little too eagerly for someone who was trying so hard to make fun of her a few seconds ago. If she notices, she doesn’t comment on it, clearly just as starved for contact as you are.
As much as you love being a part of interviews and getting to talk about projects you’re passionate about, you hate how little time you get to spend with Hailee. At least when you did the Hawkeye press junket you got to do almost every single interview with her due to the curiosity and impact of your character’s developing relationship. This time, however, your role has been the supportive girlfriend.
Despite the excitement from the fans about your character making a not-so-secret appearance in Across the Spider-Verse, all the journalists seemed to prefer to steer clear of having both you and Hailee in the same room to avoid being responsible for accidentally outing you. Just because your relationship is of a more private nature doesn’t mean either of you is doing a great job at keeping your obvious feelings in check.
Hence why it was decided you wouldn’t participate in many interviews. The last thing you need is another nepotism scandal.
“You nervous?” She asks, her previous teasing tone disappearing into thin air once she notices how spaced out you seem to be.
You shake your head in response almost as if that will get rid of the worries lingering in the back of your mind. “Me? Of course not, what’s there to be nervous about?”
She laughs, the sound soft and sweet. “Right. Well, since you’re not nervous then I guess you don’t want a kiss for good luck…”
“You’re a cruel woman, Hailee Steinfeld.”
“Just the way you like it,” she replies with a wink.
She starts to walk away but you pull her back toward you before she can get too far. You know you played right into her hand when you catch sight of the growing grin on her face but you’re too happy to care. You wrap your arms around her neck, careful not to mess up her hair, before connecting your lips in a slow kiss.
Her hands land on your waist long enough to pull you flush against her in an intimate embrace. Time seems to slow down to a crawl while you both relish this brief moment of affection.
It ends too fast for your liking and you have to swallow back your complaints, knowing it’s just a matter of time before people from both of your PR teams start looking for you. “We’re not done here. Just so you know.”
“Trust me-” She gives your lips one last peck before she steps away from you. “I know.”
You let her walk away first, taking a moment to thank the universe for bringing this woman into your life before following after her. You quickly arrive at the interview room and go through all the formal introductions before taking your seat next to Hailee. She shoots you a quick smile that you waste no time in returning.
The next few minutes pass by in an exciting blur of people setting up all the microphones and cameras and it’s not until the interviewer sits down in front of you that your previous nervousness rears its head again. You try to tell yourself you’re worrying over nothing but almost every interview has gone the exact same way since you joined the MCU. The only thing that brings you some reassurance is that Across the Spider-Verse is something completely different and can’t be linked to your last name. Unfortunately, that leaves the door right open for a different set of accusations regarding the brunette sitting by your side.
The interview starts in a very standard way with the first few questions being the same opening questions you’ve gotten in every other interview. You don’t really mind but you do wish people could come up with something better than,”How excited are you about this movie?”
Your complaints fade away once you’re forced to focus on the next batch of questions. “So, y/n, this was your first time doing voice acting for a movie, how different was portraying Spider-Woman in this way compared to Hawkeye?”
You give a pretty ordinary answer, waiting until you’ve fully answered the question to add in a comment that you know will be floating around your Twitter feed for most of the week. “And I definitely had to tone down my flirting this time around.”
“Was that hard for you?” The interviewer replies, not so subtly straddling the border between keeping the conversation flowing and pointing out you and Hailee’s closeness.
Your answer comes with its own set of badly hidden romantic undertones. “I mean, have you seen this woman?”
“Way to keep it professional, y/n,” Hailee says, her smile obvious in her tone.
“I just have too much charm to keep contained, darling.”
You turn your head just enough for your eyes to meet hers. A charged moment of silence passes before she looks away, muttering something about how unbelievable you are through a soft chuckle.
You almost forget where you are until the interviewer speaks up again and brings you right back to reality. “The internet certainly agrees with you, y/n. Apparently, you take after your cousin.”
“Which one?” You joke.
You can already tell where the conversation is going to go but you do your best to appear unbothered.
“Oh, you know, tall, blonde, also an Avenger.”
You suppress the urge to roll your eyes but the shift in your posture doesn’t go unnoticed by Hailee. It never does.
“Right, that one. Annoying fella, isn't he?”
It’s easier to mask your annoyance as playful teasing if you direct your energy toward your cousin and not the interviewer in front of you.
“So annoying,” Hailee joins in, making a show of mimicking your accent.
You shoot her a brief but grateful smile. One she returns with the smallest nod of her head, almost as if silently telling you she’s got your back. And you don’t doubt for a second that she does.
Unfortunately for the two of you, your attempt at changing the topic of conversation goes completely ignored by the interviewer. “Still, it must be great to have support from your own family when it comes to projects like this.”
“Yeah, it’s always fun to remind Chris he never got his own show.”
Hailee makes a face at your comment and you can already imagine the “Memefeld” tweets it will create. “Technically the show isn’t yours.”
“It’s not yours either, there’s still two Hawkeyes.”
“I…yeah, okay, you got me there.”
“So, the criticism doesn’t bother you?” He continues. “It’s hard to deny the connection between your recent projects and the closest people in your life.”
This time Hailee’s the one who stiffens up and, despite the way your heart flutters in your chest at her protective nature, you decide to reply before she gets the chance to. “I appreciate people’s concern but I think they’re overestimating the importance of my personal life and greatly underestimating my talent. I’m not really bothered by it, I just ignore it, to be honest. Call it taking a page out of Taylor’s book.”
You turn to look at your girlfriend with a subtle smirk on your lips. She already knows exactly what you mean but she plays along with you anyway. “Which one? Shake it off?”
“I was thinking of Karma but sure,” you say with a shrug. “Except for the ‘guy on the screen’ part.”
Even though you mumble the last part, you know the microphone picked you up loud and clear. If your choice is between nepotism scandals and dating rumors, you’ll take the dating rumors any day. Hailee’s team probably doesn’t agree so it’s a good thing your agent is the one in the room and not Hailee’s.
Almost as if on cue, she steps in with a random excuse to end the interview. You don’t really pay attention to whatever words get exchanged since you’re too busy admiring your girlfriend.
You can already imagine the tweets and the headlines this interview will create but you don’t really mind. All you really care about is getting to go home with Hailee.

Any songs on the tortured poets department or the anthology that remind you of Emilie agreste or any other ML character? (though I know Emilie’s your special interest) I feel like the albatross and I can do it with a broken heart remind me so much of Adrien, and I always love your Taylor swift lyric analysis posts.
EXCELLENT question considering taylor swift just released an emilie agreste album. (and you’re so right about the adrien songs i definitely thought so too.) there were 6 songs that stood out to me as emilie songs, the first being:
I Can Fix Him, No Really I Can
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this one is. well. it’s obvious that emilie is into toxic men. i love the idea that when she first got entangled with gabe, he was just an absolute broke problematic punk bisexual disaster (we can't ignore the harriel evidence) who her parents hated sooooo bad. and like literally everybody was so right that he was bad news but emilie was so confident that she could fix him until she finally realized that she was fr dying and he was actually going to terrorize the world about it. oops.
I Can Do It With A Broken Heart
Tumblr media Tumblr media
already mentioned as an adrien song (which it is) but emilie and adrien are admittedly very similar and this song hits on exactly why. it’s about having such a tight control on how you’re perceived by others, putting on a fake persona that can be idolized and adored by everyone no matter how you’re feeling inside. it’s about being SO good at your job that you can’t actually get out of it. accidentally mythologizing yourself. losing your grasp of what is performance vs authenticity. you get it
Clara Bow
Tumblr media Tumblr media
OKAY THIS ONE MAKES ME CRAAAZY. okay okay okay. so SPEAKING of accidentally mythologizing yourself, the song clara bow hits on a lot of the same themes as icdiwabh but there's this added sense of inevitable circularity to it that just drives me insane. I especially think a lot about adrien almost inheriting his mother's space in the public eye - the way emilie's acting career and universal adoration paved the way for adrien to be famous from birth, the kind of fame that makes his life almost unlivable at times. the whole bridge articulates it beautifully, I think - "beauty is a beast that roars down on all fours/demanding more" and "it's hell on earth to be heavenly." the idea that the world demands beauty from emilie, and she gives and gives until her ambition eventually breaks her, and she passes the performance down to adrien. and he takes up the mantle. the future's bright, dazzling.
Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus
Tumblr media Tumblr media
so again, we return to the alleged bisexual punk disaster youth of gabriel agreste😭 this song is mostly related to my personal way that I imagine gabe and emilie's early years lol. I imagine that one of the things that drew emilie to gabe initially was that he was so opposite of the way her british nobility family was, and she was trying to escape that life. but eventually, once the money and success got to him, he became someone exactly like the family she once ran from. and she became different too, in a way she always regretted. hence the "say that I loved you the way that you were." the part of this song that feels VERY emilie to me is the "I changed into goddesses, villains, and fools/changed plans and lovers and outfits and rules/all to outrun my desertion of you." I think that emilie is very malleable, easily adapting her personality and presentation to fit whoever she's trying to please at the moment. but she never plans to stick around for long.
I Hate It Here
Tumblr media Tumblr media
this one makes me laugh bc "I'd say the 1830's but without all the racists😒" ABSOLUTELY feels like something emilie agreste would say😭 and feel like she cured racism. but as for the actual song, I see emilie as always tending toward escapism. no matter how content she's trying to be in her situation, she's always stitching together an escape plan in the back of her mind. she doesn't like being tied down. she's such a romantic, and constantly disappointed by reality. always planting secret gardens in her mind
The Bolter
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
THE BOLTER!!!!! IS THE EMILIE AGRESTE SONG OF ALL TIME. TO ME. okay okay every single line but especially verse 2. "he was a cad, wanted her bad/just like any good trophy hunter/and she liked the way it tastes" just SAY gabriel and emilie. just say it. also the "splendidly selfish, charmingly helpless" SCREAMS emilie to me. one of the first things that ever came to me about emilie was her being flighty and kind of unreliable, as well as deeply attention seeking. I think of her as someone who gets restless if she's in the same place for too long, who has trouble with commitment. it's easy for her to feel trapped, and her impulse is always to break free. thinking about how content she was to leave behind her loved ones, "there's an escape in escaping" really defines her character to me. and of course it bleeds into adrien's struggle with confinement and tendency to run away when he's feeling unwanted etc etc <3
THANKS FOR ASKING A QUESTION SO RELEVANT TO MY CURRENT INTERESTS<3 umm I will throw in a bonus adrien song which is robin. ok goodnight

Wonbin has a crush on aespa ningning?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Disclaimer: This post is for entertainment purposes only. Please take it with a grain of salt. I am not responsible for rumours about Wonbin and Ninging. The readings below don't illustrate their life but could give a hint.
Q. Does Wonbin have a crush on Aespa Ninging?
Cards: the star, knight of wands, three of swords, five of wands, and three of cups,
Oh..this is...hm...it's complicated. It reminds me of the song The Joker and The Queen by Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran.
Hm...
Hm...
The energy here is stronger on Ningning's side.
Hm...
Wonbin is pretty calm and reserved here. While Ningning is the star card. Hence, I said her energy is stronger. He sees her as higher than her in terms of seniority yet there is that rebellion. He wants to "pursue" her (knight of wands), but it's just all in his head. It feels like he's insecure or not good enough for her (three of swords).
The energy feels like he might have stolen a glances or secretly looked at her whenever he can or could. Maybe when they pass by each other at company's corridor, during award shows, or weekly music shows?
He might even muster up the courage to strike a conversation with her, his competitive spirit pushing him to make a good impression (Knight of Wands). However, shyness or a misunderstanding might lead to a slightly awkward exchange (Three of Swords).
Hm...
Could he possibly be talking to a member about this? Or maybe a member of RII7E knows something? *scratching my head*
Wonbin might be noticing Ningning and finding her intriguing (the star). But this star card also suggests that Wonbin is seeking love. I think he wants to, but can't have it right now. I'm assuming Aespa and RII7E are SM Entertainment's cash cow (five of wands). SM Ent might've influenced both teams to be competitive and ambitious. Hence, it feels like Wonbin is reluctant to make a move and even not at all.
Maybe SM Ent warned them not to "like" or take an interest in each other, especially RII7E, there must've been an emphasis on not dating.
It's very one-sided. He likely has a feeling and potentially a crush on Ningning, fueled by his admiration for her talent and charisma (The Star and Knight of Cups). However, the Five of Wands cautions that these feelings might remain unspoken due to their job. He's also a junior and she's his senior. I think he's scared of moving towards her because of their job.
Rather than pursuing her or making a move towards her. He is likely learning from her. It's a senior and junior type of relationship. Three of cups points towards a potential for friendship or connection to blossom between Wonbin and Ningning. If they ever become friends, I think they will get along well.
So, does he have a crush on her? The cards lean towards a yes. The Star's presence signifies a strong admiration or potential feelings, and the Knight of Wands hints at Wonbin's desire to act upon them. However, there are uncertainties and potential roadblocks that could prevent him from fully expressing himself.
Tumblr media
Ningning seems to be struggling to acknowledge Wonbin due to issues in her love life. She appears to be largely focused on her career, keeping her headspace occupied with work and avoiding anything that is beyond her control. For her, Wonbin's admiration is just another distraction in her already complicated life.

Quick Into The Deep Q and A!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I got a few questions here to answer about Into The Deep! Thanks to @dexter-the-dog for sending these in! And if anyone reading this has any other questions about this fanseason, feel free to send them! I love to hear them! Now, let's get started!
(Question 1: What is the Insectoid Army?)
Great question! I actually made a post on them not to long ago. But some of that information is outdated now. So I'll make this the new reference for them!
Tumblr media
The Insectoids are a swarm of bug like warriors that hail from the deepest reaches of Primeval's Eye! Their society is formed similar to ants and bees. There are different classes such as soldiers and workers. Soldiers tend to be more heavily armored, and also have different sub classes, depending on what type of armor or defense adaptions the soldier has. Insectoids are based of many insects. Like praying mantises, rhino beetles, and dragonflies! The Insectoids are ruled by a single queen and they all live together in a hive.
Thousands of years ago, the Insectoids were attacking villages and stealing their crops. Wu and Garmadon were called in to help stop them. Somehow, the brothers managed to trap them in The Amber Tree! (This tree is talked about a bit in the official Ninjago short story Amber Spiral.) The Insectoids became frozen in the tree's sap for thousands of years. They are later awakened by Vangelis. They help aid him in his plot to overthrow Shintaro and become King again. Some notable Insectoid characters you can look forward to are listed here;
Queen Ocellex: The leader of the Insectoids and a blood thirsty conqueror. She is the largest Insectoid and most powerful. Her head sports a large pair of horns, and she has praying mantis like front limbs. While she is bloodthirsty, she cares deeply for her hive. Vangelis promises her territory for her people to take control of, in return for her helping him take over Shintaro.
General Torrlax: Ocellex's highest commanding officer. He is distinguishable from the other Soldier Insectoids by a large scar over the right side of his face, along with a blind eye. He takes his job very seriously, and won't let anything stop him from completing his goals. He will use any means necessary to achieve them. He's very close with his younger brother Mandorax, one of the few people he's actually soft and caring towards.
Mandorax: Torrlax's younger brother and his right hand man. He's much shorter and stockier than Torrlax, and he has huge mandibles. Hence his name. (A mixed up version of the word mandible.) Mandorax is heavily armored and can roll into a ball to crush enemies like a pill bug. He's also not very bright, but Torrlax is convinced he's a military genius! Most of his shows of this intelligence are however, just very perfectly timed coincidences. But it's enough to convince Torrlax! Another interesting trait Mandorax has is that he's uncharacteristically gentle for an Insectoid.
(Question 2: What is Cole's Grandpa's role in this story?)
Cole's Grandpa takes on a few roles! He's a teacher, warrior, and guide through Deep Lands for the team! He also serves as a connection to Lilly for Cole. The two bond over missing her, and learn things about each other and the Earth Tribe through it! Although, Cole's Grandpa hasn't quite delt with his grief of losing Lilly in as healthy a way as Cole. This eventually leads to some brief conflict. (Family angst, my beloved.🤣) He's also the very last chief of the Earth Tribe! So he has that role as well!
(Question 3: Where is the Jaya wedding going to be held?)
This question made me think actually! Initially, I was going to have the whole thing held at the Monastery. I felt like the place was special to everyone and it was the place he proposed. So it seems to fit!
But I think the reception party is going to be held at a new location never seen in the show! A really beautiful beach side event hall and ballroom in Ninjago City! I already know how it will look, but I have yet to name the place. Ideas are welcome!
---------------------------------------------------------
And that's it! Hope you all had fun reading! Bye for now!
(Tag List: @shatteredhope123 @nocturnal-nexu @dexter-the-dog @aroninshonour @piereoglyphics @looonytooons 😁👋)
Want to be added to the tag list? Just ask! That way you can stay updated on Ninjago: Into The Deep all the time!

Rowaelin Month Day Six: Forced Proximity @rowaelinscourt
link to masterlist here
She is a mess because I wrote her in one day between doing my real job and trying not to cry xoxo
Warnings: mild covid references/quarantine days, very poorly edited
level of concern (tell me we're alright)
The apartment was too small.  Aelin hadn’t noticed it until now, but two rooms and a single bathroom with a kitchen that easily melted into the living room was hardly enough space for two people.  Two people who hated each other.
Aelin threw herself down on the couch, gripping her coffee in one hand.  She’d long ago mastered the art of equilibrium where any sort of caffeine was involved so she didn’t spill anything as she sprawled across the plush cushions.  Groaning, she leaned her head back and tried, so very hard, not to lose her ever loving mind.
It was only week three of quarantine and she was going insane.
She missed going outside whenever she felt like it.  She missed going shopping.  She missed her friends.  She missed people.  Instead, she was trapped here with the one person she did not want to be.
“Do you always have to sound like a dying whale?” A very unamused voice called from the kitchen table, a grand ‘ol four steps away.
Aelin flashed a single finger over the top of the couch.  She got a grunt of disapproval in return.
“It’s eight twenty-two, well outside of your precious quiet hours,” she informed her roommate. “I can do whatever I want.”
Another grunt.
Aelin shifted to peek over the couch to glare. “You sound like a dying walrus.”
And Rowan Whitethorn promptly choked on his cereal.  Two days in a row—Aelin was on a winning streak.
When Aelin first moved to Doranelle three months ago, her plan was to have her own apartment, a dog, a perfect new job, and a social life.  What she got was a crash landing with her nemesis, no dog, the worst job known to man, and quarantine.
She and Rowan had been at each other's throats since they met one fateful night at a bar.  Rowan spilled beer on her, an accident, and promptly insulted her two minutes later after trying to hit on her.
As it turned out, he was friends with Aelin’s old roommates' boyfriends.  She should have known he was the worst considering he and Lorcan Salvaterre got on.
The bar scene ended with a fight, more beer spillage (on purpose), and a promise of vengeance.
Unfortunately for Aelin, her prospective lease fell through and she would have been homeless if not for the extra room in Rowan’s apartment.  And then covid struck and Aelin was trapped.
Hence, her beached whale position (and sounds) from the couch.  Life was one cosmic joke after another.
“You don’t always have to make your presence known, y’know,” Rowan commented as he pretended, he hadn’t almost had multi-grain Wheaties shooting out of his nose.
“Of course I do,” Aelin argued, “how else can I annoy you before quiet hours begin?”
His green eyes flashed and he rose from his seat at the table, already dressed in a button up and slacks.  For Zoom meetings.  Like a lunatic.  If he’d been wearing a tie she would have teased him for it.  Of all things the man should still be in shorts and a t-shirt.  At least the button up stretched in interesting ways over Rowan’s broad shoulders.  He might have been the bane of her existence but he was nice to look at.
“Don’t you have a job?” he asked, putting his dishes in the sink. “Ah, I forgot, you don’t.”
“Freelance writing is a job,” Aelin said.  She sat up straighter so she could better glare at him. “It’s not my fault things have slowed down.”
Indeed, Aelin’s literature degree had taken a hit given the state of the world right now.  She’d hoped she would have a job at a major publishing company or magazine or something.  Instead, she’d been rejected from job after job and was trying to write freelance articles to keep up on rent.  It…wasn’t going well.  Which had led her to content creating for Instagram.  She read books and talked about them and it kept her somewhat sane.  Until Rowan mocked her for it.
“Rent’s due on the fifth!” he called as he disappeared down the hall to his room to shut in for his work day to begin.
Aelin had no idea what he did, only that it involved not having a sense of humor.  Something with marketing?  But his degree was in history if Elide was right…
She shrugged and took a long sip of her coffee.  She had less than twenty minutes before quiet hours started at eight-forty and ended at five thirty when the work day ended and she had every intention of making as much noise as possible.
Rowan knew he was an ass.  He’d always been known as the asshole throughout high school, college, the steps in-between.  Even his friends often thought he was worse than Lorcan.  Lorcan of all people.
Granted, ever since Elide came into the picture, Lorcan had mellowed out and even smiled once a week.
Rowan found scowling to be more beneficial.  Especially when it came to getting Sam Cortland to shut up in the daily staff meetings they had over Zoom.
His degree was in art history and appraising--a limited degree where all he’d wanted to do was work in a museum organizing exhibits.  Not writing legal documents for rich men to take art from their rightful owners.
The irony was not lost on him that perhaps he shouldn’t give Aelin such a hard time about her job and the fact she wasn’t using her degree very much.
The only problem was he’d dug himself into a hole and now he had no idea how to get out.
Aelin, for all eccentricities, was smart and did work hard.  She was doing everything possible to stay afloat--sarcasm included.
Their first meeting at the bar had only gone so miserable because Rowan didn’t know when to shut up and apparently had a unique skill of insulting beautiful women.  What a time to learn that.
English?  Isn’t that the easiest thing to study?
She should have slapped him and not just dumped beer in his lap.
Rowan leaned back in his seat as the project manager started talking over the new contract that would be drawn up between a client and their acquisitions.  It continued on for too long and Rowan just wanted to get back to his own assignments.  By the time late afternoon rolled around, he was ready to log off and be done for the day.
He’d always considered himself to be a homebody, but this was getting ridiculous.  He wanted to be out doing things.  But the trails were closed, his friends were spread out over the country, and there was the risk of a disastrous illness running amuck.
So he was trapped in an apartment with Aelin Galathynius.  The place had always felt enormous until she’d moved in.  But she had a way of filling every space she occupied.  Other than the various bathroom accouterments she had there were the dozens of fleece blankets, the books, the personality.  Even he had to admit she was different from anyone he’d met before.
Unfortunately, she was very good at holding grudges.
He’d tried apologizing for getting off on the wrong foot when she first moved in, but her mind was already made up.  Then came the way she was loud, talkative, rambunctious.  Quarantine was not meant for her.  After one day he’d realized that she needed space and freedom and the ability to do whatever she wanted.  The jury was still out on how he felt about that.
He was finally able to mute his other coworkers when a loud crash echoed from the kitchen.  Rowan rolled his eyes.  It was two, so of course Aelin was getting snacky.  He’d clocked her eating habits and quickly learned she needed to eat at least eight times a day to be in a good mood.  Seven of those times had to involve chocolate.
She had been doing better at keeping quiet while he was in his zoom meetings so Rowan tried to control his ire.  Really, she hadn’t been a bad roommate.  She’d tried to keep the peace between them and even offered to include him on DoorDash orders.  All of her orders were from the local dessert shop and Rowan didn’t eat much sugar so that didn’t help matters.
Another crash from the kitchen followed by the patter of feet to the linen closet.
“Damndamndamndamn,” Aelin chanted as she went.
Rowan froze.  She’d broken his sink again, hadn’t she?  He glanced at his computer but no one was paying attention, all engaged in their own work.  Besides, he could step away from a minute if he needed to.
Standing, Rowan slipped into the hall and down to the kitchen.  He braced himself for anything and everything.  Knowing Aelin there could be a dead body.
What he was completely unprepared for was the settling plume of flour and mess of various baking items scattered around the kitchen.
“What the hell are you doing?” he blurted before he could stop himself.
Aelin turned from the counter, her blonde hair spilling out of a messy bun.  Her t-shirt and shorts (that showed off her lean legs) were covered in a mix of flour and butter, her face smudged too.  He knew he should stop staring.  Really, he’d seen her first thing in the morning looking like the walking dead and in the middle of the night crying to Taylor Swift.  And now, covered in flour, eyes wide with panic.  He would admit it only to himself and deny it if anyone asked him--but she was still the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen.
“It’s cookie Friday,” Aelin said, she had a towel in one hand, spatula in the other.  A bottle of vanilla was tipped over as she was trying to mop up the mess. “Sorry.”
“You hate cooking, or baking, or anything involving an oven,” Rowan reminded her.
“Which is why I’m only going to eat the dough raw,” Aelin said, voice growing quieter with each word.  Her blue eyes were comically wide as she gestured around the kitchen. “Then the thing exploded and the other thing tipped over and it turned into a mess and I was trying to be quiet because you are a grumpy buzzard, even on Fridays, and I know you’re at work but I really needed cookies.”
Aelin continued to look at him with her large eyes as she offered a sympathetic shrug of her shoulders.
"Sorry?"
Rowan didn't know if he should laugh or be irritated or something else.  But all he really could do was stare at her.  It was such an Aelin thing for her to do that really, he couldn't be mad.
"You know raw cookie dough is bad for you right?" He asked.
"No, it literally feeds the soul," she set.
With a wet thwack, she dropped the towel in the sink and righted the vanilla bottle.  Most of it had spilled out leaving a sickly-sweet scent cloying in the air. "And I don't care what scientists or other miserable things you read say."
Rowan rolled his eyes. He should have known better than to try and reason with her. "Alright fine.  Eat your salmonella."
"I will, thank you," she said.  A patch of flour still clung to her cheek giving her bravado a little less umph than he was sure she wanted. "And I'll clean up, no need to worry your poor old heart about that."
"I'm not old," he said.  Thirty was a perfectly reasonable age.
"Yeah, yeah."  She patted herself down, sending little plumes of flour all over the place.  She tried righting her hair, but it seemed to be of no use—most of the tendrils had broken free and she was stuck with a curling mass in the nape of her neck. "Go back to work, I'm sure nothing will get done without you."
And Rowan in a bought of what had to be pure reckless abandonment shook his head. "Nah.  I'm not that important."
Aelin raised a brow. "Really? Even with your real degree and real work you put into college."
Well.  He deserved that.
"Yeah?"
Aelin eyed him skeptically before tossing another clean towel at him. "You get the floor I'll get the cabinets."
And then because the apartment had somehow shrunk in the last three months—they were continually in each other’s way.  Rowan brushing her leg, Aelin grabbing his shoulder when she nearly fell over while reaching for the top cabinets, both going for the sink at the same time.  It was chaos.  And because Rowan didn't know how to sort out his own feelings, he found his skin heating at each touch, his heart race at each glance.  And he knew, he knew he was a fool.  But if the past three months had taught him anything—it was that he could be very wrong about a great deal of things.
When the kitchen was somewhat restored to order.  Aelin sighed. "I guess that'll have to do.  I'll dig out the real cleaning products in a minute, I have to meet with one of my editors.  Hopefully one of my articles was accepted this time."
She said the last part flippantly, but Rowan could sense the tension rolling off of her.  She wanted that job to go through, needed it.
"I'm sure it will," he said.
Aelin rolled her eyes. "You don't have to offer a pity compliment buzzard; I know it's not your style."
“It’s not--” Rowan cursed and looked away, running a hand through his hair anxiously. “We both know what I said back then wasn’t true.  I know it must have taken work and dedication to get your degree.”
“Thanks.  It did.” She was unapologetic with her bold words, just as he would expect her to be. “I won’t keep you.  I promise I’ll have the rest of this cleaned up before bed.”
“It’s fine,” Rowan said.
Aelin grabbed the dirty towels to take to the small laundry alcove but Rowan stopped her.
“You’ve got flour,” he tried to explain that there was still a steak of flour on her cheek, but he was already reaching out, brushing it away with a quick swipe of his thumb.
Aelin froze, watching him as if she didn’t recognize him.  Not that he could blame her, he was actually being nice.  Her lips parted as if to say something, but Rowan’s phone gave a loud ping from where he’d left it in his room.  He’d hooked his notifications onto a larger speaker setting so he wouldn’t miss anything during the day if he got up to leave his desk.
“Work calls, right?”  Aelin joked with a small, half smile.  And then she was gone down the hall.
Rowan cursed again, running a hand over his face.
“Get it together, Whitethorn,” he muttered, before he too returned to his room.

hi! i read ''got shocked'' and i loved it! this is probably the stupidest question, but what did you mean when you said ''she was kind, but not gentle''. ? what's the difference? i really like your shit<3
oh my GOSH you have no idea how excited i get when people point out specific things that i write, thank you much for asking me this and NO QUESTION IS A STUPID QUESTION I REALLY APPREVIATE BEING ASKED SHIT
to answer your q…
i think i meant that kind and gentle don’t necessarily go hand in hand. gentle is more like tender and caring outwardly in my head, and the OFC/y/n isn’t really that. she’s not really caring 😭😭 like she does not give a fuck about the people she works with (except a select few) and she doesn’t go out of her way to do things for them, more like she has to or is made to.
Her kindness is strategic and a conscious decision because, as a woman in a male-dominated field — and I guess ‘got shocked’ was an exploration of that workplace and how certain men behave — she knows she won’t get places if she’s prickly and doesn’t want to sacrifice her career over someone calling her a bitch because she didn’t let someone call her sweetheart or buck. so she lets it happen.
she’s not a pushover, but she’s not going to burn the status quo down because it’s not practical and doesn’t align with her interests.
and because rust is fixating on her, he comes to uncover this, although he—a man—struggles to comprehend her passivity. he’s more permitted to be ‘active’, to slap geraci over his face for crossing him, while she isn’t. ((in my head, part of why she left Brooklyn was because she snapped a bit)). he admires the restraint that, really, he could never develop to the same extent because he was not raised with that female passivity drilled into him all his life.
this gap in his ability to understand her fully fucks with him because zuh he wants her but just doesn’t know it yet. and the fact that it’s fucking with him fucks with him because he knows, really, he shouldn’t care at all
very overwhelming, hence the near panic attack/synesthesia overload
innnnn conclusion, i think i used to phrase like “decidedly kind” or something instead of just “kind” because i don’t think her character is like necessarily kind because she’s dishonest and kind of deceptive and, even if that is for some sort of survival, that’s not plain kind it’s calculated.
if you’ve read the idler wheel or other stuff I’ve written ((thank you if you have ☺️☺️☺️☺️)), she does have tenderness that she lets herself feel relatively freely—in the confines of her own mind/world at least, very separate from her job.
she likes rust as well, but he is kind of a calculated risk in itself 😭 like she willingly sacrificed some part of her ego too to let herself indulge in that want, just as he did, though maybe in a slightly different way. and if you read the second part to the Idler Wheel (it’s coming I swear, this is self-promotion), then you’ll see that she’s dealing with the consequences of her sort of “deception”/calculatedness, wanting to give way to genuineness which does not usually come naturally to her
anyhoo pls ask me more questions about this kinda stuff, I love answering 🤓🤓🤓

what do you think a second trigger from alec would look like? both in how it would happen and in how his power would change.
would he be like kephri?
OOH this is an interesting one thank you. you guys gotta stop giving me alec questions (do not stop giving me alec questions) i will never read pact efficiently at this rate.
alright so second triggers need to mimic the circumstances of the original trigger event, like how both times brian triggers from not feeling/being strong enough to protect a loved one. i haven't quite figured out how to structure my essay explaining what i think the general premise of alec's trigger event was yet so you're just going to have to Trust My Autistic Expertise when i say that he triggered because he either very desperately wanted or outright asked for help/protection from heartbreaker from someone (possibly a sibling) and was ignored. so what that translates to in abstract is "lifelong isolation & terror w/ no one ever stepping in to help despite many people watching the abuse happen culminating in betrayal and abandonment at his weakest point, leaving him with the devastating realization that he truly is entirely alone in the world and no one will ever care enough to help him if they're not forced." w/ the added details that the source of fear and the source of betrayal are both extremely personal and well-known to alec. subsequently a second trigger would be very unlikely, because it would necessitate 1. alec being scared of and unable to defend himself from a specific known threat (tall order, he's bad at being scared of things now) 2. that known threat persistently attempting to hurt him specifically (tall order, no one gives a shit about regent) and 3. the undersiders being his last line of defense and then callously leaving him when he needs them (they would not fucking do that i joke about them leaving him in a bassinet outside PRT headquarters but they would not fucking do that).
the other thing to note about second triggers is that, in terms of worm's ongoing power/trauma metaphor, they're what happen when your coping mechanisms aren't enough. brian's initial power is him putting up a big scary front to hide the vulnerability and fear that's keeping him from doing what he thinks is his job and protecting aisha--and then when it's not enough to keep bonesaw from seeing how weak he is and hurting him even worse, when it's not enough to help him protect taylor, it shifts. he's already prone to imitating his abuser--the scariest, strongest thing he knows--when he doesn't know how else to keep in control. it's why he's physically violent to rachel to keep her in line, why he tells her that he hates that she's making him acting like what he hates the most. his second trigger takes that and turns it into a superpower: just being scary wasn't enough, so now he can become what he fears and hates, take the powers of the people menacing him & his loved ones and fight back with that power.
so if alec being able to force the people he spends time around to help him doesn't work, if the closest thing to a family he has abandons him anyway, just like when he was a kid, then his power will shift to compensate. it wouldn't be a khepri circumstance--whereas taylor's trauma (& subsequently her power) are focused on isolation and betrayal from society as a whole, the locus of alec's trauma is the family, a much smaller and more personal source of pain. hence why his power is limited to 3-4 people at a time, and why it's capable of such exacting and intimate control. (compare to khepri, who has endless multitasking capability, but poor fine motor skills w/ people she masters--she's focused on frustrations w/ society as a whole and thus moves people in broad sweeps that are most powerful as a crowd, whereas alec is focused on more interpersonal betrayal and thus has more exact control over fewer people.) imagine how he would respond to the team, the only people he has, abandoning him? to aisha, the person he cares about more than his own life, abandoning him? he would have no interest in reaching out to different people in this circumstance, so his power's range wouldn't widen--rather, he would want to be better at holding onto the people he already wants to care about him.
i could see something along the lines of his multitasking abilities degrading even further--maybe down to 1-2 people at once instead of 3-4--and in exchange, he gets the ability to actually start changing people he's controlling. slowly supplanting their desires with what he wants (e.g, for them to want to help him), his power being able to seed auto-piloted future actions or pavlovian responses, people he's controlling slowly feeling more and more positive to him heartbreaker-style, etc. i dunno i'm just throwing out ideas here. don't quite think any of these are perfect but they're in the ballpark.

> Why do Lira and Hisoka hate each other?
> an analysis/character deep dive that no one asked for 👻
> and no, it has nothing to do with them both slutting illumi out, cmon y’all. it’s actual hate here 💀
> spoilers for sic infit below~
hi.
if you’re reading this, i know u fw my fic heavyyy lmao. love u!!
ok so. we haven’t gotten to Hisoka’s POV in my fic (it’s coming soon) but, Lira has already established the fact that the two of them DO NOT like each other (to Illumi’s surprise) because outwardly they seem like they would. what, with the near carefree & bloodthirsty nature that they both seem to possess, why wouldn’t they get along?? so— what’s the problem?
the answer is literally so simple & LET ME JUST SAY— it actually has nothing to do with any of their sexualities (i feel like i have to mention this, especially with these ships smh). (no, lira does not have issues with hisoka just because him & illumi have had a sexual relationship. she actually is pretty laid back when it comes to things like that, considering she has no objection to being with another woman). she’s awful, but not THAT awful, nor is it from a place of jealousy.
Hisoka has stated in the series that he is a fan of honest & straightforward people, hence his interest in Illumi.
for Illumi, i believe he doesn’t have enough shame to lie unless it’s for something absolutely necessary, such as his job, but even that’s debatable. Illumi even said it himself, “I’m an honest person so I can’t help answering whatever I’m asked,” or whatever the exact quote is, and i’m pretty sure he was completing a contract then, too!
yes, while this could have been a lie on his part, i don’t think it was.
additionally, the illumi in my fic is written to be so devoid of shame he’s basically not capable of it, nor does he have the time to waste lying to himself, so he literally says whatever’s on his mind to Lira within reason, because as he himself said, he doesn’t feel the need to lie to her.
so, what does that have to do with Lira and Hisoka?
well, Lira is not an honest person. at all. she is extremely deceptive as well as evasive, and frankly, she often tells little white lies because she thinks they’re funny (birkin, anyone?) and due to the fact that Lira and Hisoka have indeed crossed paths and even lived under the same roof before (y’all just wait for the Lira x Phantom Troupe backstory), he clocked that shit from her immediately despite her trying her best to mask it, and she HATES that he can essentially see right through her.
ultimately, upon realizing it, Hisoka DOES NOT LIKE THIS, and he DOES NOT LIKE HER BEING AROUND HIS (their) ILLU. especially with how close she is to Illumi, and how fast their relationship is progressing. he knows she’s a drug addict, he knows she’s self serving, and, again— he sees RIGHT THROUGH HER, and wonders why Illumi can’t.
he is not jealous of their RELATIONSHIP but he absolutely despises how it seems that Illumi is apparently unaware of her deceptions (he’s not). he also considers her as nuisance who EVEN HE doesn’t have any real interest in fighting (though he certainly will) even though she is quite strong and would normally be enough to pique his interest. he feels as if she is disingenuous to a fault (which is a lot coming from him) and refuses to let go of his belief that she is incapable of telling the truth no matter what she does or how she has changed.
although, with Hisoka being Hisoka, he still does find himself intrigued by her Nen and in typical Hisoka fashion, has asked himself whether he’d like to kill Lira and make an enemy of Illumi, kill Illumi and make an enemy of Lira, OR, sit back and watch as they inevitably destroy each other, which he believes is bound to happen & honestly wants to happen purely because he thinks it’d be funny.
now, for Lira. one- Lira, while she does not particularly care about them, nor is she good with them- draws a HARD line in the sand for herself when it comes to killing or hurting children. the reason she is such a successful assassin who has managed to avoid being killed is because she refuses to do anything she will regret later. harming children is one of those things. due to her history (being trafficked as a child, essentially, which is wrong as fuck, no matter how she tries to justify it with the fact that she was born into an assassin family and that’s what’s expected of her), she is disgusted and repulsed by Hisoka’s actions and thoughts towards the boys, such as Gon and Killua, despite how many times he has tried to explain to her whatever his state of mind is when it comes to them, and how it isn’t sexual. it means nothing to her. she doesn’t care. all she sees is an adult man putting children into adult or abusive situations and it enrages her. (possible foreshadowing for the Alluka incident… hmmmm?)
additionally, she DESPISES the fact that he can see through her facade,as well as the fact that he calls her out on it, and it makes her blood BOIL. she would gladly kill him- if she was certain she could defeat him, which she's NOT- but she knows that Illumi would be affected (she does, in fact, care about Illumi), and while part of her doesn’t want him to feel upset or any other way, a bigger part of her would consider it a nuisance in regards to the aftermath, especially with the whole 'providing emotional support,' thing. additionally, who knows if leaving Hisoka alive might come in handy later…
TLDR: Lira and Hisoka have a deep, caustic hatred towards one another because they’re both homicidal fake bitches that goes deeper than something as superficial as being eskimo siblings.
pls free illumi yall he didn’t ask for this shit.

I did read your fanfiction idea post. And I didn't like. Because I feel idiotic with my idea, but still want to share it. Yeah. Let's go
And❗️ SPOILER WARNING❗️
A bunch of people thought that the way Adam was acting in his phone call reminded them of Jake, right? He's probably not gonna be Jake, but let's dive into that for a moment
Sometime after he had to go on the run, maybe around 3 years ago, Jake came to Redlog for some time. He met the group there under the name Adam (I forgot his last name)
Since then he has always spent a little time in Redlog whenever it was safe, told the group that he just had a job that needed him to travel a lot.
Fast forward, after the mine incident, Jake doesn't immediately even have time to contact MC, he just tries to get away.
He goes to Redlog in hopes to get Adam alivr again and as his cover. There he plans on contacting MC, but something happens. He finds something, figures out something (don't know what). Endangers himself again.
And he doesn't want MC to be in danger with him. So he tries to fix it. But it doesn't work out. (Hence the tarot card) It's too late, whatever the danger was, it found him. And he knows the only way to get out of that is his MC. The girl (or boy, I'm a female so that's easier to type rn) that dove into a kidnapping case without a second thought.
So he sends Eric MCs contact. He tries to call her, but the signal's already too bad.
The second time he calls her, Jake realises she wouldn't know his face. He doesn't get himself to tell her his name. But he also knows he needs her to keep going. He wants her to know that he survived the mine. Hence the "It'll seem impossible without me" blahblahblah.
I'd want MC to realise who Adam is xD And then, when they finally see each other again, hug & kiss & tell each other it's going to be okay. All while Eric stands there and is like "Eeeeh what?"
To be honest, I don't understand at all why you're feeling idiotic about it. This is such a cool and interesting idea! I had to giggle so hard when I read the last part. We sure need Eric to react to that, pahaha. Simply genius.
Also making the connection with people feeling like Adam is Jake and how he met the group and how MC gets involved is very thrilling.
I mean, you could do it this way or you could also say, something goes incredibly wrong and some of Jake's enemies find out about Jake and MC's relationship thingy. So Jake wants to deal with it himself and wants to solve this. He goes to the Greenside but it goes wrong and his enemy already planned to involve MC so Jake's enemy sets up everything, the tarot card etc to drag MC into it and to hurt Jake even more.
But enemy dude wasn't aware how incredibly good MC is and messed up with involving them because MC will definitely find Jake.
And I mean, imagine we would also bring the Duskwood characters into that. I mean, if MC has contact with the group again and Hannah and Lilly ask MC if they know where Jake is... And maybe MC already knows that Jake was kidnapped or whatever.
Should MC lie to his sister? Can they even lie or is that too obvious. All of this. And maybe enemy dude even find out about Hannah and Lilly and boom. Everyone is involved and ahhhh, the party is too big. xD
No, seriously, it's a very interesting and great idea. It sounds very logical and super exciting.
And I mean, it's a whole plot. It's amazing.
And no need to feel embarrassed or whatever, I really love it. And I thank you so much for sharing it with me and us. I really appreciate it. And I'm sure many others will like the idea as well! 💚

Hello. If it's don't bothering you may i ask headcanons Kalego x Fem! Human! Assassin! Reader as Yor Forger from Spy x family. If you don't watch this one, then how you imagine yourselves relationship Kalego and Fem! Human! Assasin! Reader. I think it's kinda cute he is guardian dog and she is the soldier-protector of her country
Tumblr media
Hi!!! Thank you for asking! It's not a bother at all, really ^^
I enjoy writing stuff for other people to enjoy, hence why I created this blog aside for my hyperfixation ramblings.
I did watch the show until the 9th episode and read the manga until the 58th chapter (I got busy with school so I can't finish it yet :'D). Honestly, I understand how Yor got her fame in the fandom (I love seeing a badass female character that's also pretty soft on the inside)
It's been a while since I wrote a headcanon tho... Anyways, hope you enjoy this!
Happy reading!
Tumblr media
Soft but Deadly: A Dating Headcanon
Pairing: Kalego Naberius x Fem! Human Assassin! Reader
Genre: Fluff
Warning: might be a bit OOC and out of order (I blanked out in some parts, oops 😬 damn my sleep-deprived brain); Narnia Naberius is such a jerk here (I'm still salty about what he did to Iruma in that chapter) not proofread
MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
Dating Kalego is a very interesting experience. Expect to have numerous discussions about your shared interests.
He is a very romantic person on the inside (lemme have my romantic Kalego okay?)
He'll be taking you out on a date whenever your schedules align. And he'll be gentlemanly about it. Dinner dates, a trip to an opera house, and the like are the typical setting for the dates that he planned. However, that doesn't mean that it's boring. He makes sure that you'll enjoy the dates to the fullest because you only deserve the best of the best.
In short, dates planned by him can get a bit fancy for your taste. That's why you make sure that he also get to experience new things in life.
Dates planned by you are simple yet enjoyable enough for the two of you. Picnics, travel dates, movie dates, and the like are the things on your list.
He enjoys the massages you offer to him when you know he's tired from work. You just know what points to focus on to make him loosen up (due to the nature of your job)
He does not bat an eye on your job as an assassin. But that doesn't stop him from worrying about your safety. He'll be the one who'll take care of the wounds you got from your latest mission. He'll be scolding you while dressing them though.
When you told him about the nature of your job, he first thought that you were pulling his leg. You were so gentle with others, how can you have such a profession as your job?
But after seeing the serious look on your face, he knew you weren't joking around. Well, it's okay. He can live with the fact that the love of his life lives a double life as an assassin.
Before the start of your relationship, Kalego used to be so cold, bordering on mean to you. But that didn't stop you from admiring the demon, even though it was evident that he did not return the same sentiments.
So you were surprised when he asked you out on a date one day. He had liked you for a while now, but he doesn't know how to tell you.
The only reason that he asked you out was that Balam was pressuring talked him out to confess to you.
And apparently, he got fed up with his friend's nagging that it gave him the courage to ask you out.
He can be subtly protective of you in public. But this becomes more prominent after you reveal to him that you were human.
He knows that you are capable of defending yourself from physical harm, but you can't use magic, so you won't be able to save yourself when your opponent used their magic on you.
He wonders how you got into the Netherworld in the first place, but he doesn't ask you about it. He knows that you'll tell him once you're ready.
But like all relationships, the two of you also experienced a lot of setbacks, mainly from his brother Narnia.
I saw it, you saw it. We all know how Narnia feels about humans from that chapter. So naturally, he's against his brother's relationship with you.
For some reason, Kalego's older brother discovered your secret and was very obvious about his prejudices. But your boyfriend defended you from him, claiming that it doesn't matter to him whatever your race is.
Kalego doesn't play around when he decided to enter into a relationship with you. He does not date around just for fun, no. He is serious about you and considers asking for your hand in marriage in the future.
Once he made it clear to his brother, Narnia decided to back off. He still does not like you but he also doesn't want his brother to resent him.
While Kalego was thankful when his brother got the message, you also knew his plans for the future now. Well, it doesn't matter. It's not like you'd refuse him when he finally asks the question, no?

hope im not too late to the match making party—if so please do not mind me 🫣
1. jjk match up please <3
preferably men but cool w women as well
im very confident, quite stubborn at times, a bit bratty (hence the username hehe), very dry humor/super sarcastic/witty, I can be quite hyper/easily-excitable at times and definitely pretty unhinged…I basically let every single thought out of my head and hope it’s entertaining for others
My likes are music, being out n about, exploring and trying new things, but also enjoying my space n alone time…I do a lot of different things to keep myself engaged.
I honestly don’t dislike many things…my interests are ever-changing and it just depends on how im feeling.
My hobbies are writing, bartending (it’s my job but I really enjoy it lol), I do nails, crocheting/knitting…really anything where I can be creative and have a tangible outcome with it
My love language is definitely words of affirmation, quality time, and physical touch. I show love through acts of service + words of affirmation, mostly. But I adapt depending on the partner I have :)
Green flags are communication (not only to be able to communicate but to understand each side) for sure. Love someone I can riff off of, I flirt by being mean and I expect nothing less in return. Mental and emotional strength/maturity is big for me, too.
Red flags are liars, manipulators, etc. I hate being deceived (I mean who doesn’t…but I feel like it pulls such a visceral reaction from me) ugh I cannot deal w it
I’m 5’3, long black hair with side fringe and lots of layers in it (literally like suguru lol). I have curves but I’m more on the thinner side of it. Brown eyes, tan skin, lots of tattoos and piercings.
In addition to the head cannons, I would love a text convo :))))
Thank you so much, and congratulations on 500! I’m so proud of you xxx
Congratulations! You have been matched with...

Being loved by a woman is an entirely different experience to being loved by a man, but Shoko makes sure you won't regret it. You two ride the line between best friends and lovers with ease, and it always leaves people wondering what you are to each other. Not that it's any of their business, and Shoko likes it like that. You're hers, and hers alone.
What first draws you to her is how you seem to be an amalgamation of her two best friends. Your looks remind her of Suguru, while your brattiness and penchant for chaos could have you mistaken for Satoru's little sister. You seem familiar to her as a result, and she slips into being by your side with ease. But the more you two hang out, the more she gets to experience the parts that are distinctly you—and it's those aspects which truly seal the deal for her. There's always interest in your bartending, as she's a heavy drinker and can sample as many cocktails as you can whip up. But the other parts of you that don't immediately form a connection? Well, she's not much of a reader, but she'll always read your work; she's not one for stereotypically girly things, but she'll let you do her nails; she's not crafty, but she sits next to you to watch you crochet away. To love is to clear space for your yarn, and buy notebooks for you to write on. She may not necessarily love the same things you do, but she loves you. And that's enough for her.
Shoko isn't one for sappy words, but her actions and presence speak volumes. If she doesn't like someone, she won't be by their side—yet she's always following you around, not necessarily close but always within vicinity. Furthermore, she always does things on your behalf, trying to make life easier for you without your noticing. She gets flustered when you point out her efforts, and you'll have to cuddle with her to make up for the embarrassment.
Dates with Shoko are a mixup between staying at home to chill (for Shoko), and going out on adventures (for you). It's reflective of how your relationship is built: with understanding and communication, valuing the sum of you two as much as you value yourselves.

PM - 221 - October 7th - Lonely
@prongsfoot-microfic
When Lily sees James and Sirius as co-dependent, she makes James enforce some boundaries which makes them drift apart until the divorce.
AO3
***
James was feeling a little lonely tonight, hence heading to the pub to drink his sorrows away.  The divorce with Lily had hit him like a ton of bricks, especially since he’d lost contact with Sirius along the way.
It’s not like he didn’t expect that, at least, a little.  Sirius had wanted to travel, and James was tied down with a wife and a kid.  And he loves Harry, naturally, but still, having a kid at 20 wasn’t exactly in his life plan.  He thought they’d have years to be in love and eventually get there.
It’s just not what happened.
And Sirius had started off the dutiful godfather, spoiling his kid and always helping out to point of practically living with them.  It was great.  He had his wife, his kid, and his best mate… and then it all changed.
There was a fight.
Lily had plainly stated that their ‘codependency’ was ‘too much’ and he had to draw boundaries.  Since James had always grown-up hearing ‘happy wife, happy life’ and had promised her forever so he started to lay down some rules.  Started spending less time with Sirius and making sure that Sirius didn’t encroach on their family time.
Of course, this led to Sirius eventually putting some distance until he finally just … left.
James didn’t blame him, and he tried to be happy with Lily and Harry, but the truth is… he missed Sirius.  Things between him and Lily never got better, and he started to resent her for taking Sirius away from him to the point that he eventually asked for a divorce.
Now, though, he’s here at the pub, forlornly looking at his drink, lonely, and wishing Sirius would suddenly appear beside him.
“You look like you’re a bit lonely,” the bartender says, gaining his attention.  “Need a drinking partner?”
James looks up at him.  His nametag reads Chris, and he’s got brown hair and eyes, but a kind smile.  “Pretty sure you shouldn’t drink on the job.”
“I don’t mean me, one of my regulars comes in and sits in that booth at 10 every night,” Chris says.  “He’s due any minute and I’m willing to bet two lonesome hearts like yourselves could use each other.”
“A blind date at a pub by the bartender?” James asks, incredulously.
“Well, I meant just a mate, but he’s into blokes and I think you might be his type if you’re into it.”
James shrugs.  “I suppose it doesn’t hurt to try.”
“Alright, then.  Go take a seat, I’ll make sure he knows the booth is still his.”
“Sounds good.”
James doesn’t have to wait long, nursing his drink, before he’s joined by the man the bartender set him up with.
“Heard you’re looking for a drinking partner?” a familiar voice says as he slides across from James.
James looks up, surprised.  “Sirius?  You’re in the country?”
“James, I – you… what’s going on?” Sirius questions, his eyes flitting to Chris as if wondering if this is some kind joke.
“I came here drinking – it – Lily and I divorced, and I didn’t want to stay in my flat all alone.  Been lonely.  Your turn.”
“I – you divorced?”
James nods.  “It’s complicated, but I resented her for insisting we be… less codependent.  It finally got to be enough last year.  Had to end it.”
“I’m so sorry, James, I left because I didn’t want to get in the way,” Sirius states.  “I was trying to stop that from happening.  You know?”
“I do.  It sucks, but you know – if you’re a regular here, then you… live around here?”
“I do,” Sirius states.  “I, er, traveling wasn’t exactly the answer for me if I’m honest.  I just wanted to take my mind off the fact that I missed my chance with you.”
“Chance with me?” James questions, stomach all a flutter.  “Are you – would you be interested in me?”
“I have been for a long time,” Sirius admits.  “Lily saw it, it’s why she complained about our closeness.  Why I had to take a step back, but if – if you’re not together anymore…”
James grins.  “Maybe you and I could be a little less lonely together?”
“Works for me.”
“Good.”
