3. Who’s your favourite player, all categories? Currently, my favourite player is Thiago Alcanatara. The way he understands the game, the passes he plays, the chances he creates and takes? Oof.

31. Who’s your favourite captain? Jordan Henderson, without a doubt. He had some big shoes to fill when Stevie left, but boy am I proud to call him my captain.

36. Who was your first favourite player? Fernando Torres, if you've been on my blog recently you know how much I adore Nando and how he got me into football

38. Why/how did you start liking football? Okay, it's kind of a long story (or feels like a long story) but when I was in secondary school, I had two really close friends and one of them had become obsessed with a boyband who participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007. Like, write fanfic, join forums obsessed. I didn't watch that year because I was still fuming Lordi won the previous year. Anyway, the boyband represented Spain and so naturally she became interested in all things Spain. When a year later she finally dragged me into her obsession, she also dragged (I say dragged, I'm just naturally a very curious person and willing to try almost anything at least once) me into watching football: EUROs 2008, the year Spain won. While she was very much into David Villa, I developed a crush on Fernando Torres. I had never watched football before, but watching Spain play... Something just clicked. So after the EUROs, I wanted to know more about Nando and discovered he played for Liverpool FC. And here we are roughly 15 years later, as in love with Liverpool as I was back then and found a new love in Atletico Madrid and Borrusia Dortmund (it's mainly heartbreak atm but I still love them)
