the crazy thing about the sages in totk and their connections to the champions in botw to me is this: if the events of totk had happened 100 years ago, the champions would have been the sages. they have the sages' powers passed down by blood, and their descendants use the same powers throughout the game. all of them are related to the sages--

except Revali.

he's just some guy!! all of the other champions have their powers because they're descendants of the sages. but Tulin is the sage of wind and to my knowledge he isn't related to Revali at all. revali is the only one that has no special powers, only his own skills. the fact that teba and tulin exist implies that the actual descendant of the sage of wind had to be present when the hylians came looking for a rito champion, and revali took that guy's job. Imagine having the power to literally control the wind but even w that you're just not fucking good enough to compete with Revali 'I have to be the best at everything or I'll go nuclear' of the Rito for the title of champion. if all of the champions had survived the calamity and were there to help Link in totk, they would all be the ones with the secret stones taking up the mantle of sage. except Revali, who would just be some guy still hanging around losing his mind bc for the second time in his life an actual child is being given a position that he thinks he's much better suited for. it's a good thing he didn't make it honestly I don't think he'd take it well.

Chigiri

Chigiri makes an active effort to keep you close. Even if the circumstances of blue lock allowed relationships to easily drift apart, he makes sure to keep you in particular, close to him.

He's calling you the moment he gets his phone back, keeping you up to date with his life and in turn, you tell him about the recent happenings in yours too. You waste the night talking to each other, he sounds a bit more livelier before; as shown by the way his voice sounds a bit more higher, a bit more livelier, laughing more often in between conversations. And to add in, there's also something with the way he speaks that's gone a bit softer, a bit more fonder.

He ends the call with a meaningful thank you, an I love you you couldn't have heard whispered right before he presses the finish call button.

The first he finally meets you in person after a long while, he's bolting towards you, mumbling apologies to those he bumped with and pulling you into his embrace the moment he could. He buries his head in the crook of your neck, nuzzling into it as he mumbles a small 'I missed you'

It's sincere, you can tell. But you couldn't quite see the extent of his longing.

He missed your smile, the way it'd curve a bit more wider whenever you spotted his figure, your incessant bugging whenever he seemed downer than usual, more rigid than usual. He missed a lot about you, your smile, your eyes, your voice, your laughs, the compliments, the way you call his name, or how you'd bring him into your arms, whispering words of assurances as he relived those memories his mind constantly plagued him with.

He missed you, the feeling of butterflies, the way his heart would race whenever you got too near him, the feeling of comfort he felt in your arms.

He wraps you in his embrace despite how the time has already long passed by since the first he caught a glimpse of you, he clings onto you tightly. He had no plans of letting go, he doesn't want to let go.

"I love you, I miss you" he whispers, too caught up in the moment to even realize his words.

Perhaps it was unwise to let his emotions get to him like that, but he couldn't bring himself to care. This matter, he'll leave his future self to worry about it.

Nagi

Nagi often finds himself staring at you. Brows creased ever so slightly as he ponders the reason why you looked so different than most.

You were shining. Sparkling like some sort of protagonist at a generic shoujo manga. It gets his eyes to subconsciously shift to look at you, linger in your directions, lips twitching, threatening to send you a smile in return of the one you gave him. A simple hi from you gets him to straighten his back, eyes brighter than usual as he converses with you-and it's all so odd to him.

What about you was so different from the rest? What about you made him want to do better, to be better? What exactly was it about you that gets his heart racing, heat rushing to his pale cheeks as your touch sends electric shocks in its trail and leaves him shivering?

Why did you glimmer so differently from the rest? Why do you sparkle in the first place?

Nagi knew you weren't always so bright-before, you were just another faceless person in the crowd he could care less about. Until the second semester of high school when you were placed as seatmates, paired up in projects more usually than what was considered normal.

All you really did since was talk to him, play with him in the few games the two of you could play together, spend time basking in each other's presence, share your snacks with each other-and then suddenly something sparked and changed the way you looked.

Nagi would furrow his brows, staring at you particularly intensely and yet look away the moment you return his gaze, he huffs, gripping on his switch a bit tighter than usual. How odd, he'd think to himself.

Reo would laugh at him, chortling when Nagi deadpans and asks him why you shine so much brighter than the rest once more, he laughs and laughs, shaking his head at his treasure's lack of knowledge regarding his feelings. He heaves out a sigh, before finally telling him to go figure it out himself.

Nagi huffs, grumbling about Reo's insistence on not telling him the answer outright. Oh well, he supposes. He'll spend more time with you, talk with you more, if only to find out the reason for your shining was. (And the way Nagi does so without muttering a word of complaint, gets reo's eyes to crinkle furthermore woth delight.)

Isagi

Isagi can't quite put a finger when, why, or how, only that you've been the apple of his eye for a while now.

He's hanging onto every word you say, enchanted by your voice and put on in a trance. It's even worse when you laugh-oh he's completely stupified, trapped in a daze as he listens in.

He's delusional, occasionally fantasizing about what life would be like if you were together, he'd take you out on silly little dates, hold your hand, walk you home, and then place a small kiss on the crown of your head. He sighs dreamily, how nice would that be.

But alas, he's brought back to reality by the harsh call of his friends. He resumes back to practice, shaking off those thoughts that would simply remain a dream, a fantasy and nothing more.

Isagi tries not to, but you can't blame him when he tries to read too much in between the lines at your smallest of actions, trying to find in even the smallest of actions, a sign that you might like him too. (Delulucore fr fr)

People can tell Isagi's inlove from a hundred miles away, with who, is another question easily answerable by the lot.

It shows, it definitely shows in the way he gets a bit more animated around you, tone softer and more enthusiastic as he talked about whatever with you. It most definitely shows in the way he'd look at things, the most random of things and then proceed to connect it in someway with you. (Even going as far as to remember you because of a generic looking broom.)

Isagi often wonders what it'd be like. To cross the borders and tell you what really was written on his heart, big bold letters written in a cursive manner and dedicated to you, 'i love you'

He wonders what it'd be like to hop over that border and ask you to lower the walls and allow him to get closer. Would you accept? If he gifted you a bouqet of flowers and cookies he made himself, if he courted you with notes and a candy of your favorite type would you be charmed and accept it? Accept him?

He's delusional. Ambitious, a big dreamer, he knows that. It'd probably harm him if he continued this line of thinking, but Isagi couldn't help it. He liked you, and he prayed to the gods that you did too.
