I was looking at my ons cat16 images a few months ago now and I noticed something. No one cares but idk I wanted to share it just like that.

I'm not making anything official at all ofc but I noticed that Shinya was actually a bit taller than Guren when they were 15-16. Well, it depends on the images of course because always drawing the right proportions seems really difficult to respect. We don't know what heights these two were in cat16 anyway!

Anyway check out these few photos~

I put this one first because this is really where we see it the most. Guren stands straight and Shinya leans forward to be at eye level. And we also see the little difference at shoulder level and the collar of their shirt.

This image which follows with the first. Shinya also looks down at Guren.

This one. Well, I guess you can see the difference. (Shigure is really short compared to the three boys)

On this one, Shinya is leaning forward towards Guren again.

It looks like it's a little bigger but it could also be the angle of the image ofc. Although it really seems taller on the first one.

Shoulders again but this again may be the angle of the image as Shinya is more advanced.

I found these but I put them last because they are the least convincing. On the first Shinya is leaning forward but Guren is not straight, he is leaning back so I don't think there is really a difference in size on this one. And on the second one, I believe Guren is slumped so if we imagine he straightens his shoulders well, I think he gets the same height as Shinya.

On the other hand, on this one, they are the same height so I'm not making any advances.

Anyway, it was a small observation on my part which serves no purpose and adds nothing to the story. And if Guren was really shorter than Shinya, well congratulations boy, you're the same height as him now! 👏

Do you sleep with Guren often, Shinya? Is it a regular occurrence for you to wake up to his snoring? Were you looking forward to seeing his "cute sleeping face," as you once described it, hence the blush on your cheeks?

Is that why Guren stared so longingly at you when he tucked you into bed? Because he was resisting the urge to lie by your side and bless you with his snores from hell?

I always had this headcanon that Guren secretly likes Shinya's smiles even if they are fake because that remainds him of his father, Sakae, and how he was smiling even in the hardest points of life...

Some headcanons about Guren&Shinya ~

- They have matching silk shirts. A pink one that belongs to Guren and a blue one to Shinya. They often exchange them.

- Sometimes Shinya gives Guren a kiss on the mouth before a mission for example and Guren always gets angry so obviously Shinya continues

- They sleep together at least once a week for X reason. Either Shinya comes to his bed because he is bored and wants to be with him, or Guren comes to his because of his trauma from the catastrophe to reassure himself that he is alive

- They sometimes take showers together (It's Shinya obviously, he always invades his personal space like Shinoa with Mitsuba)

- Shinya is the one who detangles and styles Guren's hair in the morning. His hair is so unruly and Guren can't get it right

- Shinya is forced to drag him to the meeting room. He is unconsciously his babysitter

- Likewise, he always reminds him to eat (Shinya is seriously considering installing an app to remind him to eat and drink)

- Guren always listens to his heartbeat in one way or another. Same for the others

- Absolutely EVERYTHING is a competition between them

- Shinya always keeps physical contact with Guren in one way or another when he sees him. He sticks his shoulder to Guren's, puts a hand on his knee, crosses his legs with Guren's when they sit opposite. Sometimes even more obvious in the sight of others, putting his arms around him. Guren is pissed (as usual) but now he lets it happen

- Guren is a tea person while Shinya is a coffee person (match)
