Sorry if it seems weird, I try to pick a certain topic but I became confused myself as what should I pick (enemies to lovers, childhood friend, etc)......Also I'm sorry if my fav are not so diverse yet....And thanks again for your BL reviews, it helps me a lot for a newcomer like me....

Welcome back ~ It warms my heart to hear that my reviews are of help ^^ I haven't read some of the series you mentioned, but from the ones I did you seem to enjoy softer BL's that are plot and/or character-driven. I'll add links to my reviews if I have written on them, and apologize beforehand that I rarely buy singular volumes of BL so most of the titles will be from Futekiya (a monthly subscription service that releases BL only, the first chapters of the series in their library are free to read). Let's go!

Here and There and Us (Thanat) and Blue Sky Complex (Ichikawa Kei): Opposites-attract, high school friends who continue to date after graduation, long distance relationship for a while. I haven't read Blanc, have only seen Doukyusei but trope-wise, they sound similar! Both are exceptional works so I think they might be a good fit for you as well.

The Trees in Spring (Nakaoka Naka) and Setagaya Synchronicity (Hongo Chika): Both focus on soul/identity searching, coming to terms with the self. I've written on The Trees in Spring before but can vouch for both.

2. Google Site and Discord Closure

They will unfortunately stay closed. I can’t say I don’t feel bad for people who still come into my dms asking me to let them in, but I don’t think I’ll budge anytime soon. Also, this is a little unrelated, but I do translate professionally and have seen a title of mine up in MRM. Who the heck keeps uploading official stuff on MRM? I just wanna talk. The author and I make jack shit out of this, so to say that I’m upset is an understatement. It doesn’t even cost a dollar, come on. TLDR; projects will still be closed off bc I’m paranoid and disappointed af.

3. Leave of Absence

I will be going away for a while starting in March. I’m actually set to retire go on a world tour this year (among other things), but it’s not a continuous thing, so I’ll be coming home periodically. Right now, I’m trying to finish (or at least do as much as I can) several of our projects (including some new ones ‘cause I’m a ho) before I blip out. I can’t set definite timelines, but thanks to a few people who’ve offered me their assistance, I hope to release Smoke Blue 2 and White Liar very soon.

Hiii! Except Never Understand, I'm familiar with the rest of your favorite series and LOVE them! And if you liked The Two Lions by Furuya Nagisa, I'm sure you'll love the rest of their works as well. The Summer Of You and its continuation (Kodansha) is already out, and Number Call is finally picked up by Kodansha again! Not sure if it's out yet though. I think Suzumaru Minta has a similar tone to their works, you might want to check their releases in English.

My Best Friend♂ Confessed to Me in a Dating Sim (Fujitobi): Two best friends find themselves transported into a dating sim. Fujitobi is another artist I like and their works always contain a supernatural/fantasy element. Super cute!

We Aren't Secure (Sojima Yuco): Omegaverse. Two close friends (one omega and the other alpha). I think the dynamic was included responsibly into the story and I enjoyed the conflict it brought.

Welcome Back, Aureole (Takatsu - TOKYOPOP): From the artist of Skip and Loafer. More soul-searching than the usual romance tropes but definitely worth the read!

Super Morning Star (Aomiya Kara - Kodansha): How can I NOT recommend a title that's dear to my heart and is finally in English??!! While it isn't really out of your ordinary high school BL, I don't know, I just have a really soft spot for this one!

I have additional titles that are, again, all works that I have reread again and again. The childhood friends trope is still here, but the stories are set in adulthood (college/working). All from Manga Planet, all highly recommended!

Romance with Etude and Hibi mo Tsumoreba Koi ni Naru are getting licensed in English!!!

futekiya has licensed 24 titles from Home-sha, which includes Romance with Etude by Kisaragi Manami and Fuyu Akino and Hibi Tsumoreba Koi to Naru by Shota Kon. I’m not sure when they will release them as they are not yet on the site, but I will be taking down the links for both mangas today. I might reconsider not picking up HibiTsumo’s sequel anymore, but that would still depend on a lot of factors.

Anyway, congrats to the senseis! I love them all so much, and I just can’t help but feel a little emotional that they’re finally going to get the wider audience that they deserve. 😭😭😭 These are all their first official works, too (except for BLISS ofc)! I also want to thank everyone who had been with us during the release of both mangas. I hope you all enjoyed them, and I hope that you would all be interested in purchasing the official ones, too! 🙇

I’m Kumagai Kaito, Fuuta’s actor. We managed to do all 22 shows of Reborn! The Stage without incident. I firmly believe that it’s all thanks to the people who supported us each show, including the ones who came here today, and of course the ones who are supporting us through the live viewing.

It was truly a pleasure being able to be in the world of REBORN! as Fuuta. Thank you very much for coming today.

Toyota Maki / Bianchi

I’m Toyota Maki, Bianchi’s actress.

To be honest, I had been uneasy up until the day we actually started performing. It’s my first time appearing in a huge series like this, and I had to act like everybody’s older sister even though in terms of actual ages, everyone’s actually my senior.

Yeah, I’m not acting like it, but they’re all my seniors, and all of them really helped me out during rehearsals.

And my dear Reborn accompanied with me during free- What’s it called? Free practice. My dear brother, Hayato, did too. And really, everyone else. Everybody has truly helped me out, more than I can count.

Then, once we started performing, it’s the audience that has been supporting me. I’m one of the people who got to walk on the walkway, and it was truly a pleasure to feel everyone’s love up close.

This role has truly, truly, been a pleasure to receive. I really do love Bianchi. Thank you so much for the all the support!

Nagashima Seira / Miura Haru

Okay, I’m Nagashima Seira, Miura Haru’s actress. It’s truly been a pleasure to be able to be in a well-loved series like REBORN! and it’s stage play.

More than that, being able to act as Haru-chan has really been an experience I will treasure all my life. Thank you so much.

Ito Yui / Sasagawa Kyoko

I’m Ito Yui and I played as Sasagawa Kyoko. Thank you very much to everyone who came here today, and also to those watching the live-viewing.

It’s not often that I get to be in a big series that has a live-viewing, so I am very glad I got to be in this one. I’ll make sure to keep in mind everything I’ve learned here and keep on doing my best. Thank you so much for today.

Kawakami Shota / Lancia

I’m Kawakami Shota, Lancia’s actor. Thank you so much for today. It’s truly thanks to the whole troupe and you all for supporting us that I was able to learn a lot of new things, experiences, and wonderful memories. Let’s keep on loving REBORN! and its stage play.
