The stomach part of Sati Devi's body is believed to have fallen here. The word Shrinkhala has two meanings. The first one being, a Binding thread or Binding chain, second one is, a cloth which is used by the postnatal women to tie their abdomen tightly. According to the first meaning the goddess is in bounded form. Of course, Jaganmata is bound only to the lord Shiva. She removes all bonds attached to her devotees. In the second meaning the goddess is in postnatal stage ( Mother of a newborn baby), this form is symbolic as she will see the entire universe as her child. The devotees are like new born baby of Shrinkhala mata. A complete surrender and Sishu bhava is required to worship her. Currently there is no temple at the place mentioned, instead one can find ruins of what was one probably a temple. Many people believe her vigraha has been shifted in Gangasagar, West Bengal or near Sringeri of Karnataka. Some people also consider that the temple is in Gujarat. She has lent her voice to the issues of migrants stranded on the Nepal-India border, showing her support for CNN Hero of the Year of 2015 Maggie Doyne and how we can help them. In a short video posted on her Instagram on May 25, Khatiwada has called for support and action to help Nepali migrant workers entering Nepal from Indian borders. “There are many issues on social media and news and it can be very distressing. But this issue is very important and is of priority. That is why I am making this video so that we can get as much public attention and social support as possible,” she shares in the video. “We can do it. PM Modi talks to jab recipients in bid to dispel fears

VARANASI: PM Narendra Modi on Friday joined the campaign to tackle vaccine hesitancy by holding a virtual interaction with health workers who all attested to the safety of the jab administered to them. The interaction with health workers in his LS constituency was live telecast by Doordarshan. Doctors’ clean chit to vaccine sends a strong message to people: PM Prime Minister Narendra Modi said he did not rush experts into rolling out the vaccines despite facing attacks for not launching them earlier. Modi got health workers to share their tryst with the vaccine, especially if they had faced any serious discomfort after getting the dose. “When doctors and health workers give a clean chit to the vaccine, it sends a very strong message among people about the efficacy of the shots,” a visibly satisfied Modi said when a doctor and a lab technician joined nurses in attesting to the safety of the anti-virus shots. “India has launched the world’s biggest vaccination drive and the credit goes to the medical fraternity and scientists, who developed two vaccines in a short span of time. The ‘made in India’ vaccine is also being provided to other countries,” the PM said. He countered allegations that political considerations were at play in the permissions granted to the vaccines and said, “We have followed whatever our scientists have suggested.” He spoke to five recipients and vaccinators, including the matron at the district women’s hospital Pushpa Devi, an ANM at Shiv Prasad Gupta divisional hospital Rani Kunwar Srivastava, chief medical superintendent of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya district hospital Dr B Shukla, senior lab technician at DDU district hospital Ramesh Chandra Rai and an ANM at Hathi Bazar community health centre Shrinkhala Chauhan. PM Modi said the country had shown the willpower and capacity to make its own vaccine. “Today, efforts have been made for vaccines to reach every corner of the country at a rapid pace. Today, India is completely self-reliant on this biggest need of the world and India is also helping many countries,” he added. Modi appealed to medical institutions to go for a competition in fulfilling the vaccination drive so that all frontline corona warriors could get vaccinated as early as possible. Responding to the PM, Dr Shukla said 81 medical staff, including himself, got vaccinated on the first day of the drive and went to perform their day’s duty after a 30-minute wait. “There is no confusion among medical staff about the vaccine’s efficacy,” he said, adding that over 10 lakh vaccines were administered in India so far and no major side-effect was reported.
