okay. i hate to do this because it's embarrassing and awful, but i have turned over all my options and this is quite literally my last resort.

last week, my darling penny got so sick it required a couple of visits to the vet for fluids and antibiotics. she is recovering now at home, thankfully, but it's left me with a boatload of vet bills i cannot afford without also missing my rent payment.

i was laid off in february, which is a whole issue on its own, and job prospects in my field are low and the market oversaturated. i have no steady income and no way to choose one or the other without going further into debt, because either way i won't be able to afford something. i'm already choosing between bills and groceries half the time.

i want to reiterate i hate doing this and you don't have to give me anything, but if you're feeling it/financially able to, buying me a coffee would be extremely helpful. anything to at least pay down some of the outstanding bills would be helpful, honestly. and if you can't, just signal boosting could be a big help, too.

i also want to reiterate i wouldn't have done this differently. if it comes down to it, i'd rather lose my apartment than my cat. it is what it is. but any help is appreciated.

I know I haven't been on Tumblr much lately. A lot has been going on, between my mother, Dashboard Unfucker shutting down, and the Arizona Coyotes being moved (huge hockey fan here), I just haven't had the social energy to do much, let alone go on Tumblr and open myself up to harassment and bad faith trolls some more.

Anyways...I also hate to do these things and I'm supremely tired of having to. But you guessed it, it's another donation post!

My mother is planning on serving me notice soon, and I don't really have anywhere lined up to go. My current city is pretty expensive, and any place I would be able to afford would be a shared room in a house.

I...would really rather avoid that if possible. I don't really think mine and my mother's relationship is capable of being repaired, and my mental health is certainly suffering living here, but I'm not sure if that's going to improve by living with a bunch of random people.

Anyways, I was paying $450 a month to her. The cheapest rent here for a room is $600. I don't have a job and have been surviving off ODSP for months because I've been unable to find one in that time. So I could really use Tumblr's help with this. Please help me afford to be able to move out and furnish a new place where I can hopefully live my life.

I know, everyone and their mom is tired of seeing this from me, but I'm seconds away from a total mental breakdown about this at any given moment.

I took all of my money, all of the cash we had in the rainy day jar, and even pulled the < $1 I had from my savings account to pay the second half of rent for the month. After that, I am at -$575.

Because my employer is only giving me $25 a week during my medical leave (< $10 after tax), and I have no idea when I'm going to actually get money from the state. I have another job I'm pursuing (just praying I get called back for the working interview or at least an answer this week), but I won't get paid from that until I actually get the job and, you know, actually start working.

I just want to have positive money at the end of the month, so that rent will actually take out of my account again. It's going to put me back in the toilet after that, but I just want to know we'll be able to keep our apartment in May, you know?

I can't even keep Dashing because my car has no gas in it. I'm not getting Etsy orders. I'm stuck at home while Kit is at work and I hate that I can't do anything to help right now. Any little amount will be helpful, or even a reblog if you can't give anything right now.
