Hey guys, I just wanted to ask for a favour. If you could follow the "Vote Yes" tag on here to keep up to date on the Australian Referendum for the Indigenous Voice to Parliament, and reblog posts if you can. I want more people to be talking about it as it's a really important step for human rights and hopefully international support can convince Tumblr Aussies to vote yes.

The Voice would recognise Indigenous people in the Australian constitution and would create a body that would advise the government on policies that are made about Indigenous people. The Voice wouldn't have any power to vote themselves, they would just be an advisory body. While it wouldn't have power we would have records of the government ignoring it's Indigenous people and opting for harmful programs, and this public platform would make it a bit more difficult for it to brush people off. And hopefully they'll be be deterred from committing to genocidal, horrific polices like the Stolen Generation again.

Recently there's been a lot of devastating developments when it comes to human rights around the globe. A Yes vote would be a great source of hope and step in the direction of a better world.

You didn't miss anything, I don't do commissions, at the moment! I don't want to pester you all with my problems, but my life at the moment is in a "live day by day" situation, and any (extra) paid work I know when I'll start but not when I'll be able to finish is just some extra anxiety I really would like to spare myself.

(if we're mutuals, I'm all in for collabs of sorts, as long as the deadline is... very, very flexible.)

BUT, if you're out for commission, I would like to give some space to other artists I admire that are currently open for commissions!

I checked for a couple I knew had a post going on (which I linked), and asked a couple of friends, but if you read this, we're in the same fandom and you're open for commissions and you would like to be added to this list, please tell me and I'll update and reblog this post!

PSA: INPRNT IS FAILING TO PAY ARTISTS

...and they are apparently not doing much to fix it. this has been going on since at least May. inprnt has been telling individual artists who go to them for help that there is a known problem with payouts that needs to be fixed manually. they have not publicly acknowledged it or notified their userbase. some people seem to get a fix from support pretty quickly, others are just ignored or left to languish. so the result here is: a lot of artists are not getting paid and think they are alone in this.

here is a thread of receipts(tm) going around today, which are unfortunately also on the Bad Bird Website. lots of quote tweets and replies telling the same story, and if you search around, there's been a growing number of complaints over the last few months.

so, if you have prints on there, it's probably time to start asking some pointed questions and making some serious demands. they've been letting this fester for months and they clearly need a push. if you're thinking of joining... maybe look at other options or wait and see how this plays out.

(disclaimer: i am not on inprnt so this does not personally affect me; i'm just pissed off on behalf of my peers and i think artists and customers should know this is going on)
