Magdalena: The Vitali family never accepted Liliana or Viola. The best they did was give her a little money to get by on in exchange for non-disclosure. But Viola never fully recovered from the medication and the institution and passed away when Liliana was a teenager. That is why Liliana is vengeful. She hates all of us. 

Magdalena: She hates the Vitalis for coldly using her mother and then tossing them both aside. She hates Viola for giving birth to her only to resent her and abandon her through her death. And she hates the royal family for turning a blind eye to what happened. But her hatred for the Vitalis is the strongest, her involvement with the royal family is only to gain power over the Vitalis. Quite simply, you’re all just there for her to use and discard.

Magdalena: Liliana has no friends and no one to call family left. And there is no one to fear like the person who has nothing to lose. The family is aware that she may try to get revenge, but we’re prepared. I advise the royal family do the same. 

Isabella: Thank you for telling me this. 

Magdalena: I didn’t do it for free

Isabella: Right. So what is it you want?

Magdalena: An heir

Isabella: What?

Magdalena: Duke Vitali doesn’t have many years left in him. It’s a miracle he’s still alive even now but we all believe he’s just holding on until the succession of the Duchy is secured. The family still has my father-in-law Enzo to inherit the Duchy but both Luca and Ferdinand are dead with no children, and Simon is the future consort. At this rate, there will be no future for the Vitalis  

Isabella: And you believe I can help you with this?

Magdalena: Yes. I’ve grown to love this family for Luca’s sake. And it’s also for Luca’s sake that I’m determined to see the Vitali family restored to its former glory. To do this, we need a successor. 

Isabella: I understand that but I don’t see what I can do to help you unless you want me to find you an heir from an orphanage that the family can adopt-

Magdalena: -No. We don’t want anyone without Vitali blood. 

Isabella: Then what-

Magdalena: I want Prince Raphael. 

Isabella: What?

Magdalena: Raphael is a Vitali by blood. If Simon cannot become the future Duke of Vitali then it is only right that his son should be. Raphael is not even in line for the throne so there won’t be any problems with the crown in the future

Isabella: I’m not his mother, I can’t make a decision like this

Magdalena: The whole country knows you might as well be his mother

Isabella: I need time to think

Magdalena: Well, I’ve told you what I want

Magdalena: Thank you for visiting your royal highness.

The day of Benjamin and Theodora´s wedding had come. The bethroded hadn´t talked or even seen to eachother since their parents told them about their planned marriage and Benjamin felt it was high time to do so.

Leaving his parents and future in-laws talking outside, Benjamin walked in to the church where his sisters were waiting for the ceremony to begin.

He walked up to his Magdalena and cleared his throat, "Magda, do you know where Theo is?"

“I believe she´s getting ready in the sacristy," she said, giving him a sympathetic look, "how are you feeling, brother?"

"I´m fine," he sighed, "thank you."

Benjamin knocked on the door and heard a quiet "come in" from inside. When he entered and saw his childhood friend dressed in all white, silently sobbing with her face buried in her hands, his heart sank. My dear, dear friend, he thought, how I wish you wouldn´t be crying on your wedding day.

Benjamin kneeled down in front of the crying girl, "Oh Theo," he mumbled, "it´ll be all right."

Theodora looked up at him, wiping the tears from her cheeks, "yes," she nodded softly, "I´m being dramatic."

He grabbed her cold hands and squessed them thight, "no, you´re not. Cry if you want to, God knows I have," he whispered, "listen Theo, I swear to you I´ll try my best to make you happy, as a friend or as a husband. We don´t ever even have to share a bed, if that´s what you wish. We decide how this will work, no one else."

Theodora had stopped sobbing, but tears still trickled down her face, "I know you´ll be good to me, that´s not my worry. It´s just-," her voice thickened, "well, it´s just that I wish to have children some day. But as you said, perhaps we´ll never share the marital bed."

"If you wish to have children, we´ll have children," he reassured her.

Theodora stood up, smiling bleakly, "thank you," she whispered and embraced him, "you´re my dearest friend."

They stood there for a while in a silent embrace before Benjamin finally broke away, "come now, I think it´s time."

HIH Crown Prince Louis Graduates Basic Training and becomes a fully fledged PIMA Cadet

Parents of first year cadets at the Pierreland Imperial Military Academy may have experienced a bit more of a hassle attending Basic Training Graduation this year due to the presence of the entire immediate Imperial Family to celebrate the Crown Prince, also known as Cadet Valois, finishing the achievement along with the rest of the cadets in his class. The photo of all five members of the Imperial Family is one of few photos which display the proud Emperor and Empress along with the Crown Prince's younger siblings. The Imperial family was seen interacting with other cadets and their families, even laughing as some cadets shared tales of some of the Crown Prince's hijinks.

Eagled-eyed attendees also noticed Cadet Valois strolling on campus with a figure in a teal dress who was absent from the group photo.

Royal Pundits have identified the figure as none other than HRH Princess Magdalena of Lunaria, daughter of Crown Prince Louis's godparents Crown Prince Nicholas and Crown Princess Minerva of Lunaria. The Crown Prince's first and best of friends, Princess Magdalena is reportedly studying somewhere in Pierreland but took the time to come celebrate her best friend's achievement, which also will allow the Crown Prince to leave campus so he'll be allowed to return the favor soon.

Magdalena: ...My husband was the best thing that ever happened to me

Magdalena: We were introduced when we were 19 and 20. Duke Vitali believed that with my bloodline, I would make a wonderful Duchess in the future. And my parents agreed

Magdalena: Roberto Jr... Luca as everyone called him... had a strong sense of duty. He didn’t love me when we met but he was determine that I would be happy throughout our marriage. I fell for him easily because of that and eventually, so did he. We were happy

Magdalena: Until everyone started noticing that I wasn’t getting pregnant. The whole family started pressuring me but Luca... he was patient. Unfortunately that wasn’t enough for Duke Vitali, so he took matters into his own hands. That’s when things started going downhill.

Magdalena: Duke Vitali got Luca drunk one night and tricked him into sleeping with a woman of his choosing. That woman’s name was Viola. Luca was barely conscious and couldn’t remember anything when he woke up, but he was angry and upset. He felt guilty towards me even though he was not at fault.

Magdalena: Viola got pregnant but shortly after, so did I. The family was so overjoyed with my news that they discarded Viola in an abortion clinic and cut all contact with her. She threatened to tell the press but instead, the family had her checked into an institution where she was forced to take medication for mental illness. 

Magdalena: A little over halfway through my pregnancy, I had a miscarriage. Luca was devastated and somehow he fell ill after that. And... well... you know how that ended. But no one ever knew that Viola didn’t get the abortion. The family only found out after Liliana was born and Viola came seeking money.

Magdalena: After Liliana was born, Viola tried to use her and the news of Luca’s death to get Liliana accepted as a Vitali and earn her place in the succession to the Duchy. In the end, all Viola got was some hush money and a non-disclosure contract.

Magdalena awoke in the middle of the night in excruciating pain. 

Magdalena: “Francisco, go get Julia, this baby is coming!” 

Francisco runs out of the house to fetch the midwife, and on his way out, he wakes up Andrea and tells her what is happening. 

Francisco: “Please stay with her until I return.” 

Andrea: “Of course, don’t worry, go, I will stay with her.” 

Magdalena was in much more pain than her first delivery, and she couldn't shake the feeling that something was very wrong. 

Andrea: “Let's walk for a bit, Mamá says that helps ease the process.”

She goes to help Magdalena get out of bed and notices that she is drenched in blood, and Magdalena begins to cry out in pain.

Magdalena: “Something's not right, something’s not right!” 

Andrea is horrified and scared, but she tries her best to reassure Magdalena and hopes that Francisco arrives quickly with the midwife. 

Julia finally arrived and she swiftly took action to help Magdalena. She urged Francisco to wait outside, but he refused to leave Magdalena’s side. “You do what you have to, I am not going anywhere” he said to her.

After hours of intense labor. Magdalena gave birth to a baby boy.

Magdalena (panicking): “He’s not crying, why is he not crying?''

Laura (sorrowfully): “I am so sorry…the child is dead.”

Magdalena: “No…No! No! This cannot be!!” 

Magdalena was beside herself with grief at the loss of her child. A devastated Francisco did the best he could to hold it together for his wife. He held her tightly as she sobbed in his arms. 

Exhausted from a difficult birth and from crying all night, Magdalena finally fell asleep. Francisco came out to check on Andrés Rogelio when Andrea approached him. 

Andrea: “He’s sound asleep, let’s get you out of those bloody clothes.” 

Francisco just nodded and walked out into the cool morning air. Andrea followed him out and sat next to him.

Andrea: “I am so sorry brother, you have my ear if you need it.” 

Francisco couldn’t hold it together any longer, and he broke down in his sister’s arms and cried his heart out. Andrea held on to him and tried to comfort him.
