PANDORA LABELS is a fictional company based in South Korea formed in 2010 to house K-Pop artists. It was originally formed as SUNRISE ENTERTAINMENT. 

In 2015, SUNRISE ENTERTAINMENT debuted its first group, DREAM STATE, a seven membered girl group that did not do as well as the company hoped. With little attention paid to the girl group in favor of other groups, SUNRISE ENTERTAINMENT tried again soon after with BOMBSHELL!, a female duo who did significantly better and helped bring money to the company. 

In 2018, STARBORN CREATIVE would acquire SUNRISE ENTERTAINMENT as its second and last subsidiary label and rebrand it to PANDORA LABELS, disbanding BOMBSHELL! and moving many of their groups over to the label. Many protested this plan, stating that the trainees who were already at PANDORA LABELS would potentially be kicked out to make room for the groups. This turned out to be half true, with fifteen trainees leaving the company soon after the rebranding. However, STARBORN CREATIVE did not stop, continuing to move their groups to the label and eventually debuting PANDORA LABELS' first group, FLEURSHINE, in 2021. 

HOUSE OF SCORPIO is a fictional subsidiary label under STARBORN CREATIVE. 

In 2017, it was announced that STARBORN CREATIVE would open its first subsidiary label, HOUSE OF SCORPIO, to serve as a music production company. It would also serve as an acting agency for the actors under STARBORN CREATIVE. HOUSE OF SCORPIO was received with open arms and warm welcomes by many fans, and many producers and actors who were once under the main company were moved to HOUSE OF SCORPIO.

this is such a hard question lmao, because i grew up on second and third gen kpop. if any followers have recs, feel free to drop them as well.

for me, of course there's the big or moderately popular groups (kara, 2ne1, f(x), snsd, wonder girls, apink, girls day, sistar, miss a, brown eyed girls, 4minute, aoa, after school, t-ara, secret, etc etc)

in terms of groups that might be considered more obscure:

all of 9muses' discography, in particular glue, drama, and dolls (they were not that obscure but they didn't get a single win before disbanding so they still count as flops)

evol - get up, we are a bit different (ngl they were the original girl crush concept, like girl groups were not making music like this back then! they were totally ahead of their times)

stellar - sting, vibrato (they were totally exploited by their company and sold using sex appeal, but their music was great. they deserved all the success, but NOT under that management)

spica - you don't love me (the original vocal group. if you like m*mamoo, consider listening to spica instead)

what's your kpop journey ? (how you got into it, your first groups and biased, your opinion on kpop before etc.)

So all the way back in 2012 I watched a lot of competitive Starcraft II, and ended up on Twitch where they would play kpop MVs in between games. The first kpop video I saw was Nine Muses - Ticket, and my first reaction was "Wow, they have a lot of fucking members and also holy shit they're all so fucking hot."

I remember seeing Sistar, Rainbow, and 2NE1, but wasn't really hooked. I tried exploring more on youtube but 40000 things came up and I didn't know where to start and I got overwhelmed and that was the end of the journey for a bit.

That's why it's important to have a kpop sherpa when you get into this insanity.

At some point I ended up watching bubble pop, listening to it over and over and over, but didn't really listen to anything outside that. Fast forward a few months later and I found the mv for SNSD - Gee, and that was that thing that really did me in. It gave me the feeling of oh, I'm going to be into this forever. 10+ years later and I'm still listening, but my interest has definitely waned. SNSD was the first group I was in love with, and after going down the Running Man rabbit hole and seeing the episode they were on I ended up really drawn to Jessica.

Alongside them, I really got into Nine Muses back when they were putting out a new song every three months, and followed their hot mess of members leaving and joining, all the way until disband. Also ended up really into f(x) and they'll forever have the most flawless discography in kpop.

I didn't really have an opinion on kpop before I knew what it was, I was casually into jpop so to me it was just more of the same, but better and more accessible without weird restrictions.

22. How I got into kpop.

Well, it was in early September of 2015 and I was in 7th grade. I was into anime and wanted to find some Japanese pop music to listen to so I found this online radio called BigBRadio that specialized in East Asian pop music. Mainly C/J/K-pop. I visited it now and then but I noticed at one point that one of the moderators had embedded a YouTube music video for a kpop song in the daily feed and I was curious so I clicked it. I was immediately FASCINATED. The song was called Vanilla Shake I think and the artist is N.Caa or something? But anyway, her vibes, the whole aesthetic of the music video, it was all so fun and I had to know more. I remembered having seen a comment on random YouTube video mentioning EXO as a kpop group, so I looked them up and I was immediately hooked. They were like my anime boys with the colorful hair and fancy coordinated outfits except, even better, these guys were REAL. Most of my special interests up to that point were centered around music or cute boys and finally I was able to combine those 2 in addition to East Asian culture which I was already interested in, and found pretty much the perfect special interest.

26. Do I prefer boy groups, girl groups, coed groups, or smth in between?

Although I like girl groups, I generally prefer boy groups for a couple of reasons. The main one is that I’m more attracted to men than women. But the other one is that it seems a lot more common in girl groups to debut idols that cannot sing at all. Not that this doesn’t happen in boy groups but I feel like girl groups are especially notorious for being debuted with gorgeous members who are insufficiently skilled at singing. It’s gotten better over time, but I’ve also had a hard time getting into any new groups after I had some bad depression a couple of years ago and unfortunately a lot of my fav girl groups were disbanded but most of the boy groups did not. (Sistar, Girls’ Day, and Miss A my beloveds)

27. Kpop idol is want to hang out with

OOOOOH. Hard one. Probably Seungmin and I have good reasons for this. Even if Skz hadn’t been one of my long time favs I’d still probably pick him because we would be able to relate over singing and Day6. Day6 karaoke with Seungmin would be a literal dream come true. I know that I’d be super nervous at first but I would get into it really quickly and it would be so much fun. Like I think he’s really attractive and all but that kind of attention isn’t something I crave from him. No, it’s Day6 karaoke with him that I crave and have craved for a long time. I also just feel like if I said something a little out of left field or overly blunt like I tend to do, he’s probably the kind of person that would think it’s funny rather than being weirded out by it.

I miss when kpop looked like this. Do you see the creativity, the artistry. Teen Top and Ukiss were my favorite groups when I was in highschool. Does anyone remember when Eli from Ukiss had a Tumblr in like 2012? When Kibum and Xander were kicked out of Ukiss. I cried they were my favorite members after Kevin who is on Broadway right now so happy for him. Almost all of my favorite groups disbanded, it's why I can't get attached to any girl group except for blackpink because they debuted before every single one of my favorite girl groups disbanded the same year. I can't go through that again. Sistar, 2ne1, and 4minute all gone the same year. And I think Jessica was kicked out of SNSD the same year too? On top of that Exo and BAP. I was really only gonna let NCT be the only new group I got attached too but then Stray Kids and Txt snuck their way in and now Ateez is trying to sneak in. Also honorable mention to G.NA and Secret who were just inactive without a word for so so long. Like always this response went in a different direction. This is a random memory but I had a friend in highschool who liked Big Bang , SNSD and F(x) and said she liked when boy groups looked like boy groups and girl groups look like girl groups in response to me liking SHINee, TVXQ,2NE1 and 4minute that made me angry for some reason cause what do you even mean? anyway . Let's pay respect to the girl groups who deserved better. (All of them but specifically these four)

Even though CL, Hyuna, and Hyorin have solo careers. I will always miss 2NE1, 4Minute, Sistar, and Secret. I still remember the choreography I learned too. I also shipped Minzy and Taemin when I was younger it just made sense for them to be together, thats a random memory I remembered.

i first got introduced to k-pop back in 2010-2011 when my neighbor showed me shinee's lucifer and ring ding dong. i didn't really start liking k-pop as a whole until around the second half of 2015!

my ult groups are currently ateez, enhypen, xg, nct dream, le sserafim, newjeans, and txt. (can you tell that i'm a hybe stan...)

i also really like (g)i-dle, &team, astro, aespa, boynextdoor, bts, day6, dreamcatcher, exo, fifty fifty, fromis_9, got the beat/girls on top, got7, history, ikon, infinite, itzy, ive, kard, knk, loona, monsta x (+ wonho), nct (as a whole, i'm just more of an nct dream stan), nmixx, nu'est, onlyoneof, p1harmony, pentagon, pristin, red velvet, seventeen, sf9, shinee, sistar, stayc, stray kids, the boyz, teen top, triples, twice, and vixx. (this is in alphabetical order, not in the order of which i like them. a good portion of those groups are my old ults or disbanded groups. i've have a lot of ult groups throughout the years.)

my fav f1 drivers are cl16, ln4, op81, and mv1.

i have only been into formula 1 since dec '22. i'm still learning a lot about the sport and the drivers as well!

my fav f2 drivers are al12, jd14, dh1, and ob8.

i have only been into f2 for a few months, it's the same case as f1, i'm still learning a lot about formula racing and its drivers as a whole!

my fav f3 drivers are pa1, db2, and sm14.

i also support hamda alqubaisi, bianca bustamante, and chloe chong!

i also used to be in a heavy emo phase (i never actually left it) and so i do enjoy a lot of emo/rock/metal music!

i'm not into much anime anymore but i'll occasionally rewatch some of my favorites or i'll end up watching newer shows with my boyfriend. the animes that i've enjoyed watching in the past are soul eater, black butler, haikyuu!!, ouran high school host club, and free! my current favorites are cyberpunk: edgerunners and chainsaw man!

i also have a side hobby of gaming! i wouldn't necessarily call myself a gamer since i don't play that many games. you'll usually find me on minecraft, the sims 4, roblox, or destiny 2! i also occasionally will play fortnite with friends (i'm just not good at pvp games so i tend to not play them that much; UNLESS it's arsenal on roblox. i kick ass lowkey in that game.)

I had been talking about Wonho and him leaving Monsta X a lot because I was missing him. And a few days later I had gotten a Day6 poster, and this conversation occured.

Bora: I was told to make a comment about this so here it goes…

6 years ago today, was the day we held out last fanmeeting, our last stage on Mnet and our last day as Sistar before we disbanded. Even though we handle our goodbye gracefully and perfectly, thinking about how we weren’t even asked if we wanted to continue on still makes my skin crawl. And I will never forgive the people who made that decision without asking. I would have stayed as Sistar’s Bora until I was old and grey. But that’s not what happened. I love my sistars for life. I just wish the person we trusted the most didn’t stab us in the back.

So any young rookie, soloist or rookie group reading this, live in the moment. Appreciate you’re time on stage with your teammates no matter what. Cause you never know when it will be taken from you.

I love you all. And I’m sorry we left. 💜 Star1 will always have my heart.
