max takes mike to the skate park half to show off half to teach him and he’s watching max slide down the railing when a skateboard rolls right into his ankle (it hurts like a bitch too) and mike picks it up and sees all the band stickers on the back of it (RAINBOW ONES TOO) and then sees the new kid from school walking up to him and he hands him the skateboard and after he thanks him and mike’s trying failing to be casual “no problem new guy” and will is like ??????? “you’re in my science class?” “ohhh yeah mike right?” and he’s trying so hard to be normal about that so he just nods and then will asks if he can skate and mike just “i can stand on it?? if that counts??” and max scoffs from afar (”barely”) and sees how will LAUGHS with the cutest smile and then offers to teach him and max has a hashtag live slug reaction

The Bad Batch, but as the types of skaters you meet. 

Hunter - Not really bothered about doing tricks or anything fancy. Skating is really just a way for him to get around, but he wants to look like the coolest kind of dad/uncle/big bro when he goes to pick the kids up from school. Seams way more into the cool skater fashion and branded bandannas than anything.

Wrecker - The big guy with surprisingly good balance. Has the basics nailed, but sometimes he confidently tries to do a new trick for the first time with no practice and seams genuinely shocked when he falls. It doesn’t phase him though and he’s up and helping the younger skaters in no time.

Tech - That guy who has watched all the skate videos and how to’s. He can tell you the perfect way to do a trick and knows exactly how you messed up when you fail. You trust his methods, but have yet to see him do anything on his board.

Omega - That one kid who is absolutely killing it. Grown men will spend years perfecting one trick and she can do it first time with her eyes shut. Nothing phases her and skating is just like walking to her.

Echo - That one older guy who hangs out at the skate park. Used to be a big time skater with his crew but now just mopes around fixing up peoples boards. Every now and then he will do a neat trick to show the kids how it’s done and then go back to cleaning his board like it was nothing.
